Arc Review

I was so excited when I heard that Violet Taylor was coming out with a new book. The author writes monster romance perfectly.

Well usually she does. This book fell flat for me.
For such a short book it really dragged on and felt extremely long.
What would usually take me 2, max 3 hours to read, actually took me 2 days!

This book did not read as romance. It was more of horror smut then monster smut and even the smut was not enjoyable unfortunately. I didn't connect to any of the MC's and honestly felt as if the MMC's were all trying too hard to be "monsters"

And I couldn't take our FMC seriously with a name like Githany. Wth kind of name is that supposed to be? Everytime one of the MMC's called her that I cringed.
I understood once I completed the book that it was a play on Gluttony but omg did her name annoy me so much.

Here's to hoping my next Violet Taylor read is better. Will definitely re-read my favourites by her but this one will not be a part of that.

Another great monster romance from Violet Taylor! I knew after Stitches and Ours for Halloween that this one would deliver and I definitely wasn't disappointed!

Halloween / Haunted House setting - ✔
Demons that feed on fear - ✔
Shadow daddy/monster that can change shape - ✔
Rattling monster peen - ✔
Different colored cum - ✔
The boyfriends are boyfriends - ✔

Githany can see the dead and has made it a point not to get close to anyone after the events in her past. Occasionally helping out a local paranormal ghost hunting group, TAPIT, she's talked into going to the local haunted house, Reaper's Playroom, to see if she can sense anything supernatural about it.

What she finds herself walking into is fearful supernatural yumminess! Hunt, Gator, and Madness were all fantastic MMCs - this is the first why choose I can think of where I don't have a clear favorite! They were all dark, unhinged, and possessive and each one tickled a special part of my brain!

I loved seeing just how monster-like they were, feeding on fear and causing chaos with very little to no concern for who the humans were they were going after or how said humans would interpret everything going on. Hunt, chain wielding psycho, definitely suits his name being the perfect mix of possessive and unhinged hunter. Gator gave us that fantastic degradation and domination and Madness gave us... well madness. They made such a great trio and then you throw in Githany and they made the perfect group!

And the SPICE - Violet did such a great job with her creativity here and I'm OBSESSED with all the different elements she threw in. Monster peens, great positions, fantastic dirty talk, it just got better the more you read!

I also loved how the book ended! We get a clear picture of Githany's past and get to see how the guys integrate her into their lives and their hunts - and deal with her when she misbehaves! So keeping my fingers crossed we get an audio for this one in the future!

Thank you to the author for the ARC!

🍬😈ARC Review😈🍬

haunted house attraction on halloween night? ✅
monster horromance? ✅
MMFM. Masked men. Psychic Goth x Fear Demons? ✅
a book that is both dark AND spicy? ✅
literally what more could a girl want???? (the answer is nothing btw)

When I got this, it completely derailed my entire night and I finished in less than 24 hours. I DEVOURED it and loved every single twisted second!

Githany can see dead people and agrees to investigating a popular haunted house attraction on halloween night... what she finds there is three masked fear demons.
The question is, will she survive the night?

I wish there was an option higher than 5 stars because that is how I felt about it! Violet went darker with this one and I was a huge fan of it! You get spooky vibes, horror elements, and spice all wrapped into one book with a HEA ending. All the expectations that I went in with were both met and surpassed.

I did go in thinking that Hunt was my fav and reading this, I don’t think anyone can actually make me choose a clear favorite because I loved them so much... But its possible that Madness may have the slight edge...

If you’re looking for a book to get you into the halloween mood, definitely add this to the absolute TOP of your TBR!!
If you need more convincing (not sure why, lol) I’ll say: maze of mirrors + chainsaw chase.

Seriously though, read this ASAP once it comes out!!!!
It’ll be on my mind for a while and I already want to do a reread!

What to expect:
🍬 monster romance
😈 MMFM
🍬 why choose
😈 masked men
🍬 goth psychic
😈 dark + spicy + horror elements+ gore
🍬 haunted house on halloween night
😈 fear demons
🍬 HEA
😈 check your triggers!

This book is the definition of scared and h*rny lol

I am a huge fan of Taylor especially her more Halloween/monster novellas. They are overall just super hot, fun, and a unique spin on a monster romance. But this one felt very different from her other novellas than the ones that I have read in the past.

One thing I love about Taylor is just that she doesn't do much repeating (that I have noticed at least) and this was probably her scariest novella? She leans into the horromance and there were times where I was very scared and knew I would be losing it if I was Githany. I also felt like the monsters/heroes were truly monstrous, and as someone who reads alot of monster romance, not alot phases me but this time? I was like oop- okay she went there! I will say Taylor is marketing this as a why choose and I would actually argue that this is more poly romance than why choose. The heroes have a relationship prior to the heroine and they often engage with each other on page and in the past (if you get what I mean).

The only thing that prevents this from be a 5 star for me is that I didn't really like the info dumping at the end. I felt like it came a little out of nowhere and wish there were more hints throughout the novella in order to break it up. There was also a weird info dump in the beginning of the book that felt weird since there were so many steamy scenes back to back that it just took me out.

Overall, I loved this and feel like it is perfect if you are wanting a smutty Halloween monster novella!

**** ARC REVIEW ****

Hehehehehe... I just finished reading this arc by Violet Taylor, and as always, it was amazing! I loved the storyline so much it was unique, fun, and completely pulled me in from the very beginning.

Our FMC is such a baddie. She can see ghosts, but that ability comes at a price, which made her story even more compelling. Then we have our three MMCs... absolutely delicious. Each of them brings something different to the story, and together, the four of them create such an incredible bond that had me wishing the story would go on so much longer.

I just love the way Violet Taylor writes. Her obsession with Halloween matches mine perfectly, and this story definitely did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the haunted house setting and the fact that our three MMCs feed on the fear of the people coming through the attraction.

And, of course, Violet Taylor always knows how to deliver the spice. Every character is well taken care of, the chemistry is fantastic, and when the spicy scenes hit... they really hit. She knows exactly how to make the spice extra spicy while still building meaningful relationships between the characters.

Another amazing read from Violet Taylor, and I already can't wait for the next one!

Thank you to Violet Taylor for allowing me to read this early!!

YESSSSSS QUEEEEEN, VIOLET TAYLOR!!! 👑🎃🖤

OMG… you NEVER, and I mean NEVER, disappoint when it comes to monster romance! 🙌🔥

We’ve got Hunt, Gator, and Madness, and WHEEEEWWWW DOGGIE… these three had me ready for Halloween to hurry up already! 🎃😂 The vibes? Immaculate. The chaos? Delicious.

This MMFM romance brought some fresh surprises that I haven’t seen from Violet Taylor before. From creative monster details to new dynamics, fresh kinks, and her signature ability to write scenes that are equal parts fun and unforgettable… I was absolutely hooked. 😮‍💨💜

And can we PLEASE talk about that CHAINSAW CHASE?! 😝🪚❤️ My heart was racing! Then the mirror maze scene??!! GIRL. 👏👏👏 I was living for every second of it! As someone who loves Halloween for all the spooky thrills, this felt darker and creepier than some of her previous monster books—and I was here for every page. 👻🩸🤭

If you’re looking for the perfect read to kick off spooky season while we’re all melting through this hot, gross summer, THIS IS IT. 🎃🍂✨

Thank you so much, Violet Taylor, for trusting me with an ARC! 🥹🖤 I’m beyond grateful you chose me, and I already can’t wait to see what wonderfully chaotic monster adventure you come up with next! 💜📚

Eeekkk! The horror romance queen is back!! This book absolutely lived up to the hype for me! For my gamer girlies, it has the same vibes as phasmo but for the non gamer girlies, it has ghost hunter vibes. Mix in an extreme haunted house and the scene is set and the vibes are spectacular. Right off the bat, the mystery and questions begin and then we get distracted by some seriously demented but delicious scenes and find ourselves relating like a mfker to our fmc because shes got diahk on the brain and drops some serious words of wisdom hahaha like we really should carry b.o.b at all times because if were going to go out, it should be on a high. Okay I gotta stop. I loveeeddd this, clearly. The mmmf (which it should be marketed as because were all being taken care of by everybody and its incredible) was absolutely everything and these monsters were not the babying type with our fmc. It was delightful. Borderline bülly? Anyway. Really. Foots out the door. I gotta gooo.

Screaming at the top of my lungs!! THANK YOU VIOLET TAYLOR FOR THE ARC

I swear every time I go into these books when I am finished I'm asking myself what the heck did I just read? LOL I went into this thinking that Madness (even tho I am so scared of clowns) was gonna be my fav but coming out the other side I cant choose and this is exactly why its a why choose! Githany has a secret after something traumatic happened to her in the past she is now able to see dead people. Because of this she works with a paranormal research team and is talked into going to a haunted house on halloween just to see if it is actually haunted because of some mysterious things happening. Enter our MMC's Hunt, Madness and Gator they are fear characters at this haunted house...or are they just characters. When they come across Githany they know instantly she isn't what she seems to be. They don't smell fear in her, the fear they feed on, instead they smell something more and the games they play with her... 😮‍💨 Can Githany make it out of the haunted house or will she be stuck with her true self? Not that it would be a bad thing to be with these 3 😉

Fed by Fear features three fear demons and one psychic.

Madness, Hunt, and Gator, our three fear demons, work at a haunted attraction every Halloween because it's the perfect place to feed on fear while having a little fun. Githany, our psychic heroine, is asked to investigate whether the attraction is truly haunted. What she discovers is so much more than she ever expected.

This was such a fun read! If you've read any of Violet's books, then you already know she knows how to deliver a wildly entertaining story. We get a memorable mirror scene, a swamp scene, and a creepy doll scene. What more could you ask for?

Well, there is more that we can ask for!

Expect primal play, knives and chains, and some very creative monster anatomy.

This book has a little something for every monster romance fan, and I definitely recommend picking it up if you're looking for your next fun, spicy monster read.

""Just give us a thumbs-up if it was good for you," Madness offers. Githany holds up both thumbs. "Two thumbs-up? We are f-cking Gods." Madness cackles."

Extreme haunted house? ✅
Hot masked men? ✅
Some super fun smut? ✅
Unique monster peen? ✅
Why choose? ✅
Monster romance? ✅

I loved the extreme haunted house setting and the different rooms in it for each MMC. Hunt, Gator and Madness were amazing with how unhinged they were, but also possessive and even a little caring for our FMC. They definitely didn’t coddle her in any way though. And Madness, OMG, he was my absolute favorite. Apparently I have a clown kink that I didn’t know about before. 😂 I adored our FMC, Githany, because she had a great sense of humor and handles seeing dead people like a bad b.

I can’t say too much without giving anything away, but I thought this was a really fun book. The spice was amazing and creative (the room of mirrors 🥵). It also had enough gore to keep my horror loving heart happyomance and . The haunted doll room will stick with me for a long time!

“You’d think even without a smidgen of psychic abilities you’d still recognize a creepy doll when you saw one. So many people are oblivious.”

This book I tore threw so fast, gobbled it up like I was starving! There's nothing Violet writes that doesn't just knock me out and this one was no exception. It was a delicious, depraved, twist on a haunted scare theme park. Where there is not one, but three hidden fear demons among the actors. They thrive and feed off of your fear, sometimes they can't help themselves and things just get messy. You have Hunt who can camouflage and he rattles once excited. You have Madness who has a like double personality but that's not all he has two of. Then there's Gator who loves to get his fill and loves his knives. Then there's our main fmc who is a psychic medium who goes to the haunted attraction to investigate with her paranormal team about what's going on there. Only she's not as innocent as she seems and the guys are attracted to her instantly. They sense there's more to her than meets the eye. This was spicy, a bit disturbing, but so good!! Violet never disappoints!!! If you love monster romance, masked men, lots of spice, and the thrill of the chase, you'll devour this!

ARC Review: Violet Taylor has done it again!!!! 🖤

Haunted house ✔️
Halloween night ✔️
Masked men who aren't what they seem ✔️
MMFM ✔️
Spicy & dark ✔️✔️

Fed by Fear is everything you could ask for in a dark horror romance! It's deliciously spicy with twists you won't see coming. 🔥

Gilthany, our FMC (aka "Ghost Girl"), can see dead people... and that's all I'll say to avoid spoilers. 👻😈 I never expected her character arc to go in the direction it did, but I absolutely loved every second of her growth.

I devoured every juicy, dark, bloody, and menacing moment with our boys—Hunt, Madness, and Gator. And who would've guessed my favorite would be the masked pig butcher himself, Gator? 🐊😍 He's an absolute boss. Madness and Hunt were just as irresistible, but Gator carved out a special place in my haunted heart.

If you're looking for a dark, spooky horror romance packed with spice, suspense, and unforgettable characters, look no further than Fed by Fear!🖤📚

Oh now this book was EVERYTHING!! I got the joy of being able to arc read this thanks to the author. This was definitely a 5 star read for me. I mean come on who wouldn’t enjoy 3 demons that all want you! Githany is far from normal. She knew this since she was a child. But on this night she realizes just how different she truly is. Something inside her starts to come to the surface thanks to the help of 3 haunted house workers. Well they are more than just that. Does Githany have what it takes to survive these 3 for the night? Or will everyone’s dark side be revealed?!? This book has it all from being chased through the woods by a guy with a chainsaw, a house of mirrors where you are terrorized by a clown, all the way to a butcher shop in a cabin. Githany has to choose from her own demons or the demons that are right in front of her!

A monster masked men horror romance?? Sign me up! Violet does monster romance so amazingly good!! This one was just as amazing as all of her other ones!! The haunted attraction. Fear demons. A FMC that can see and talk to ghosts. So many good points here! It being based in NC just added to it since that’s where I’m from 😂

The different domains of each of the demons were done so well with what they were embodying and seeing the scenes play out in those areas was sooo good!

I loved the fact they were instantly all on the same page of we have to have her after seeing her 😏

Hunt, Gator & Madness were spooky in their human bodies but as their true monster selves they were even better honestly!

Monster peens always got me curious so I hope we get some nsfw art for this book soon!!

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ the spice be spicing in this one and I loved it!!

This one had me absolutely hooked from the start! Spooky romances always suck me in, but the flow of this book kept me coming back for more and the setting. Githany was such a lonely women who didn’t like people getting close to her because of a series events. When she decides to go investigate a Haunted house attraction she finds not only that things aren’t as they seem, but she finds three monsters who want nothing more than to worship her. The way this book closed out was absolutely amazing seeing Hunt, Madness and Gator show their love and appreciation for her staying with them how absolutely wonderful they all fit together was perfect. Such an amazing read and now I want more spooky books!!

I absolutely loved this one! what a great addition to the Darkly Depraved Monsters Novellas!

I am by no means a horror girlie but I absolutely devoured this one... much like Gator who could not help but to take a bite, I was waking up at 6am to try to squeeze in more read time because I could not be stopped. I am feeling all the halloween feelings and my thirst for monster romance is feeling like it has awoken from a slumber and I am ready for more.

I would agree this one is dark, its gory and its definitely more horror but the romance and smut was 10/10. I am going to be recommending this one to anyone who is willing to take a chance as this will easily be a story I would reread every halloween.

Violet Taylor did it again!!
I had so much fun reading this book! Githany has been able to see ghosts ever since an accident when she was a kid, and when she ends up in this haunted house. let’s just say things get really interesting. Go bump in the night. That’s where she meets Hunt, Madness, and Gator, and from there it was one wild ride.
I don’t want to say too much because I think this is one of those books that’s better if you go in blind, but there were so many moments where I thought I knew what was going on… and I absolutely did not. I was so wrong.
If you like creepy haunted houses, ghosts, dark romance, oh and creepy dolls
Plot twist that makes you stop and go, Wait wtf just happened. then I definitely recommend giving this one a chance.

I really enjoyed the self-discovery of the main characters and how it all progressed! I think this book really makes me excited for Halloween season coming!!!

ARC reader review:
One word for this. WOW. When I say i devoured this book, I mean I DEVOURED it. I really enjoyed the character building for Githany at the beginning with all the spooky, supernatural, and spiritual background to her. It obviously gets nail-biting good when you’ve got Hunt, Gator, and Madness claiming her. I couldn’t get enough and flew through this. This had me flash backing to my haunted house days every Halloween in my teens. It checked all my boxes that I didn’t even know I had!! I’m loving this horror monster romance. 🖤😈

I didn’t read this book… I got dragged into it kicking and screaming, and I loved every terrifying second. Violet Taylor took Halloween, ghost stories, haunted houses, monsters, and stitched them into one deliciously twisted nightmare I never wanted to wake up from. Githany had me invested from the start, and the masked fear Demons? Pure obsession wrapped in darkness. If spooky season had a book soulmate, this would be it. Dark, eerie, addictive, and absolutely unhinged. 👻😈🖤

Dark, depraved, and decadently delicious. I will continue to stand by my praise of the author because she writes some of the best monster romance. The stories are full of spice, but still have great plots, and Fed by Fear is no different. You follow the story of a woman who is a bit different from the rest as she encounters three fear demons who open her eyes to a world of possibilities. I can't lie, they opened mine too! I never thought a clown could be attractive, but just wait until you get to the mirror scene! I am so thankful to have received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. I can't wait for another book by Violet Taylor! If you like these tropes in your monster romances, then look no further because Gator, Hunt, and Madness will take care of you in the most debauched ways your heart could ever dream of 🖤

This was a GOOD time 😂 I read it on the plane, praying someone wasn’t reading over my shoulder lol. It was dark, twisted, and such a unique story, which is totally Violet’s whole vibe. For a spooky season lover such as myself I’m so glad she is releasing this book in the summer because I’m already craving all my weird, Halloween style books and this was satisfying! It’s a shorter read but packed with a twisted tale of demons, and horror, and all the spooky spice. I loved this!

I received Fed by Fear as an ARC and what a ride! This book is a bit more horror than Violets typical dark and twisted monster romances but there is still a HEA in my opinion.

I always love how Violet balances plot and smutty scenes in typically a novella format. This one is a bit longer but still so good with so much plot AND SMUT 😈

Madness is definitely my favorite and Githany truly belongs where she is. There is so much love and acceptance in such a dark twisted little book. 10/10

Do not read this book if you're sensitive to darker themes.

I love Violet's books and this was great in terms of writing but I did need to skip a few parts (its because of me not Violet)

I knew going into this one that it was going to be dark and gore filled. They are demons after all!

Loved the Twists in this book!

A very quick read with a Dead by Daylight aesthetic. You will need to get cool with a lot of things very quickly as this is a darkly spicy read. I do want to hang out with Githany and accept the risks of that. As evil as the monsters are, they do go into the "I can fix them" category. For the adult goths, you do need to get this one.

Githany was amazing too, honestly I loved everything about her. The ending? Please, I love me a good HEA.
