Locked up safely behind the walls of their glamorous beach resort, our survivors have grown comfortable, almost forgetting that the undead are still on the prowl in the streets below. But when the group loses one of their own under mysterious circumstances, they begin to question whether or not staying at the resort is their best option.

Friends turn on one another and once again, the group finds themselves back on the apocalyptic streets of Haven, battling the dead. The biggest threat yet emerges and a traitor is revealed, proving once and for all that the flesh hungry creatures infesting the city are not the group’s greatest foe.

Will our survivors be able to make it out alive one last time?

The final book in The Breadwinner Trilogy is a non-stop, post-apocalyptic race to the finish line. Murder, lies, captivity, and a seemingly never ending onslaught of the dead are just some of the challenges our group will face.

Fates hang in the balance but one thing is certain: the end of the world is not glamorous, and All Good Things must come to an end.

It's often said that the third time's the charm. The old adage has never been truer than in the final book in The Breadwinner Trilogy. When I read book 1, The Breadwinner, a few months ago, I was not overly complimentary. Things improved with book 2 Haven, and here we are, at the end of the series, with All Good Things. This was one of the best zombie books I've read in recent memory. Elevating my overall opinion of the series to the point where this is what you really should be reading to get over your zombie withdrawal while The Walking Dead is on hiatus.

All Good Things begins with the death of a principal character, an event that actually occurred at the end of book 2, but the fallout intensifies here. One of the things I really like about The Breadwinner Trilogy is that, although there are zombies and plenty of gore, it's really about the complex relationships of our little group of survivors. "...the small group locked away in Emerald City had found some sort of solace in one another. They'd found some remnant of normalcy in the things they did together to fill their time. No matter how insignificant it all seemed, there were plenty of reasons they gave one another to keep living."

In All Good Things I found the characters to be more fully developed, displaying real feelings and raw emotions. I also realized they had more to fear from each other than from the "eaters" as the author refers to her undead.

I'm happy to say there are several OMG moments in this book as Kopas does not hold back at all. No spoilers, but I can say the reader should expect the unexpected in this very satisfying conclusion to The Breadwinner Trilolgy.

All Good Things is available now as an ebook from Permuted Press, through Amazon.com, and will be in paperback soon.

Strongly recommended. Get the entire series and spend some quality time with the undead.

~Would you look at that amazing cover!! EEEPPPP!!!!

I received this book in return for an honest review.

BOOK THREE!!!!!!

Action packed and mind boggling

I swear, The Breadwinner Trilogy has got to be the hardest books for me to write a review for. Why? Because how do you put "full scale epicness" in words without saying the same thing over and over again?

All Good Things...was a yo-yo for me. It kept my heart racing, but I went from "Yesss!!!" to a sobbing "Noooo!!!"

I can't believe it's over though.. I mean...

I really didn't want to believe half the stuff. Once it happened, I was like:

and the fact it took me over a day after finishing this book to even know what to say.. and knowing I still don't know what to say... speaks volumes!

THESE BOOKS ARE EPIC! Read them. Now!
...Why are you still reading this? You should be reading the books!

...Now for those who HAVE read the books, please continue.

All in all..

Oh look! It's Michelle.

I'm just gonna leave this here....

Now that it's over.. what do I do with my life now?

This is book three in The Breadwinner Trilogy, a fast paced zombie apocalypse series. It picks up where book two left off, with a similar mix of characters you liked and ones you hoped the zombies would eat.

This book also showed that sometimes the living are more evil than the undead. There were lots of edge of my seat moments. Make sure you read right to the end, the Epilogue is after the Acknowledgments, and you definitely want the satisfaction of reading about who gets chowed down on by eaters at the end. (Thanks Stevie, I needed that closure)

I recieved this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The Breadwinner Trilogy is a zombie trilogy centered around a pair of survivors from disparate social classes who manage to find a luxury hotel which offers a brief respite from the struggle for life which defines the apocalypse.

The books have numerous shocking swerves, unexpected deaths, and surprising twists. I admit, I would have preferred it to remain centered around the character of Samson and dealt more with his desire to serve as the "Breadwinner" for his fellow survivors but All Good Things wraps up most of the series plotlines in a satisfactory manner. We also get to see Veronica grow to become a heroine of quality.

The premise of All Good Things is the group has a psychopath amongst then. Michelle is a character who is over-the-top but still a lot of fun. Michelle enjoys killing, relates to people only through what they can do for her, and racks up a large bodycount despite being part of a small group which doesn't like her. Despite this, she's entertaining and funny, which is worth its weight in silver.

Much of the book is devoted to Michelle's activities and how they drive the group apart. This starts when Michelle kills a mentally unstable member of the group by throwing her over the side of the hotel. The group doesn't suspect Michelle but the act still backfires on her. Their friend's "suicide." inspires the group to try and do something with their luxurious lives by seeking out other survivors to take them in.

All Good Things has a lot of good character development for its smaller role cast memners. We find out a great deal about survivors who had previously only been names. One is deeply religious, his brother is an atheist, another is suicidal without his love, and another is at her breaking point but no one notices because she's the psychologist. There's a several good bits like Michelle's poor attempts at seduction and a subversively cynical display of "humanity" where she helps a prisoner commit suicide.

I was pleased by the books handling of religion as you rarely see anyone but crazy people have religious beliefs in the zombie apocalypse. The fact a man has gone deeper into his faith while others have lost it is only lightly touched upon but I found myself enjoying the contrast.

I can't say I'm terribly fond of the villains, though. Neo-Nazis who keep female survivors as sex slaves are about as stock as you can get into the zombie apocalypse. Michelle, herself, is a far better villain and I find her silly as well as terrifying.

Another flaw in the book is carried over from the first sequel, which is that Stevie Kopas never bothers to explain who any of these people are or how they relate to new readers. As such, this book is best read by people who are familiar with the previous two and isn't a good jumping-on point.

Despite this, I think this is an effective end to the franchise. Those who enjoyed the previous Breadwinners will enjoy this entry. The ending was really well-written, fooling me several times into believing everyone was going to live or she was going to pull a "kill em all" ending. I'm not going to say what does happen at the end but it was surprising.

7/10

I really wanted to give this book a 1, based on the interaction of the skinheads, but without it, the book would have been okay, so I gave it a 2. I managed to deal with the head-hopping throughout this series, but with a cast of 6+ revolving people, it could be hard to follow at times. What I couldn't deal with the borderline forced sex scene between Michelle & the skinhead, and the drugging and implied rape off-screen of the captive women in the dealership. Also, I didn't really believe Michelle's psychopathy.

Kinda glad this series is over. The dialogue didnt feel genuine to me and the features of this world were well worn from other stories. I just didnt introduce anything new to the genre.

Notably, I have started reading these zombie books not because I am interested in them, but because of the sheer amount of them available to me. Because of this, I am probably more critical and less forgiving toward them. Anyone reading this review can take it from the perspective of someone with no preconceived impressions or interest in this type of story. That being said...

After a great start (Breadwinner) with a shaky sequel (Haven), I decided to give the last of the series a chance and came out on the other end feeling a little angry, but mostly indifferent.

Let's just get to the star deductions.

So yeah. This was extremely unsatisfactory. I had already emotionally disconnected from the characters, so whatever. But geeze. I didn't expect this book to be so riddled with holes. More holes than the first two combined. If you're thinking about reading this series... I'm sorry, but I wouldn't waste your time, your emotions, or your brainpower.

This is the third installment of The Breadwinner series and wow was it a great one! This is one of the few series that didn't falter with each book, I usually start to dislike books the more in the series I get. Thankfully not with this series, it was freaking awesome!

I swear this is liking reading a Walking Dead episode or season. The first book was more about surviving the zombies and it's been less and less about the undead with each book. This one was more about trying to escape the meth addicts than the undead. Again, that's every zombie filled series. Unless the zombies find a way to evolve like in Resident Evil. Yes I watch and read a lot about zombies - a girl needs to prepare herself just in case, right?

I wanted to punch Michelle in the face with a chair! That was one crazy evil girl that deserved what happened to her. She killed people without a care in the world, even enjoyed it. I was very, VERY upset at some of the deaths in this book. I think Stevie Kopas just knew how much these characters meant to me, so she snatched them away - that's an author for ya.

Veronica is a tough chick and I can only hope I would be that strong. I would be fine with a fraction of her courage to be honest. I'm glad Kopas made her such a strong character, especially considering she was the youngest. Normally, they would be the weak ones that cry in a corner until they run away screaming and get themselves killed.

I actually liked the ending! I was upset so many of my beloved characters didn't make it but I'm happy with how it all turned out. I especially loved the epilogue - teehee you'll have to read it to find out why. I thought this was a good way to end the trilogy. Though I wouldn't be upset to read more about Veronica and Clyde ... hint hint Stevie Kopas.

I flew through all of these books in a matter of hours. They were so good that I really didn't want to put them down - I'm glad I started reading them on a Saturday so I life didn't interrupt my reading. I highly recommend this whole series for all the zombie lovers out there.

I have been waiting for this for so long after the cliff hanger of an ending from book 2, so when I got a copy, I dived right in!

I'm not going to say anything about the plot because I will spoil something, so all I'll say is it's incredibly fast paced and intense. What the author puts her characters through will make you gasp out loud and cry. No one is safe and everyone's life will change forever!! Very vague, I know, but that's all you get ;)

Character wise, by now we know and love/hate these characters, but Stevie Kopas takes her character development to a whole new level and makes the horriblest character even worse!! This woman is seriously evil and yet I thought she couldn't get worse, well I was wrong!! You will have to read this to find out how Michelle fared out though.

Anyway, All Good Things is the final book in this awesome trilogy and while I thoroughly enjoyed it, I just felt like the author wrapped up some of the characters stories too quickly! I mean, did she have to do what she did to all of them!!!! I can understand why she chose the root for them that she did, but I thought some more of them could have the ever after they craved ;)

I had the same problem here that I had in book 2 and that's that I really think a female narrator might have been better. It's primarily in a female POV!! Scott Reed Birney did an otherwise great job with the narration and read the book perfectly, but his female voices aren't that great.

*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*

Finally! I can move on with my life! Waiting for the resolution to that major cliffhanger Kopas left us with in book two was driving me insane. And despite my asking her many times to give me a hint, I suspect she giggled maniacally while tapping her fingers together hunched at her computer while telling me I'd just have to wait to find out.

Oh, and find out, I did! Kopas continues the story from where it left off. Someone did something to someone that made readers gasp with shock. How's that for the most vague description ever? I don't want to ruin the oh em gee moment for anything, because it would be unfair to pilfer that experience for a reader. Once it starts, the story snowballs like a roller coaster reaching its zenith, picking up speed and tossing a few people off the ride as collateral damage. Characters you think will prevail wont, and the ones you wish dead just may kiss their arse goodbye. Have some tissues handy to pick up the pieces of your shattered emotions...this is going to be a bumpy ride.

All Good Things slams The Breadwinner Trilogy to its end with unrelenting action and excitement. I laughed, I cried, I cursed the antagonist, but more importantly I demanded Stevie Kopas give us more in her fictional universe. If we're lucky, she will be inspired to continue the journey someday.

**Providing an honest review in exchange for the ebook**

Kopas upped the intensity in this one. There's more action, drama, but with (a few of) the same awesome characters. Just like the previous books, you can never predict who will make it and who won't. The second the reader thinks they might know what will happen next, the author likes to side-swipe them.

I won't spoiler this for you but there's a certain character who has gotten away with far too much for far too long and it was satisfying to see how that person was served justice. In this new world order there aren't laws to abide by and how people deal with revenge is far more brutal -- and interesting.

The zombie action scenes were well done. They were fast, easy to read scenes that moved along at the same quick pace as the rest of the story.

I really liked the epilogue, which occurred after the Acknowledgements. It was like that special preview at the end of a movie after the credits.

CONCLUSION:
I can sit back satisfied with how everything turned out. Is it an ideal future for all of the characters? Not so much but I think that was the story's appeal to me, the unpredictability. The characters are individuals, which I really like when an author can pull that off. None fell flat for me and they each made mistakes being both believable and fallible.

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

I listened to the first two books in this trilogy, The Breadwinner and Haven, and I was thrilled when Stevie Kopas sent me the next book, All Good Things, to review. Because of the way the last book ended, I was dying to get into this one.

This book starts where Haven left off with the death of one of the main characters, Juliette. Since she had some mental problems, the group believes that she committed suicide, but we know that Michelle pushed her off the balcony.

All of the characters are complex and well developed. A lot of this book is devoted to Michelle, who is a psychopath. She is truly evil. She even coaxes a woman to commit suicide. Yes, the woman was a sex slave and lived in the worst conditions imaginable, and death was probably her best option, but Michelle enjoyed encouraging her and watching her kill herself.

All Good Things was a good ending to the trilogy. It was full of suspense and I wondered if all of the survivors were going to be killed off by the end. Whether they did or they didn’t I won’t say, but it was a fitting end.

I definitely recommend All Good Things if you like reading about zombies. I do suggest reading the first two books, though, before reading this one.

'All Good Things' is the final book in Kopas' Breadwinner trilogy, following a group of survivors through a zombie apocalypse.

It's been a while since I read the second book in this series but I had no trouble picking up where that one left off. Kopas has created a unique group of characters who face challenges that become increasingly unpredictable as the story goes on. The books have been fast paced and full of unexpected deaths and this one is no different.

If you're looking for a fast paced zombie horror series to devour, I highly recommend this one.

Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I liked this series...I just wish it would have been longer!!! I hate that the group had to suffer so much in the end...but Michelle finally got what she deserved....she was the worst kind of person to have with you in a zombie apocalypse! Clive and Veronica are safe for now, and I hope we get some sort of novella or something to tell us how they make it...Good closing book to this very entertaining zombie series!!

WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND A CREDIT...I RECOMMEND THE WHOLE SERIES!!!

Way to End with a Bang

I was very fond of this series, and I'm glad that the author was not afraid to take risks and no character was off limits. That being said I've never been that fond of the way the narration jumps minds from paragraph to paragraph - my only real complaint. Other than that it was a nice finish to the story and a nice addition to the zombie genre.

Awesome trilogy!

Couldn't put these books down, loved the characters and non stop action. Huge fan of the zombie genre and have read so many but have to say Stevie Kopas is my new favorite, right up there with Brian Keene's The Rising series. So, what do you say Stevie, can we get some more of this fantastic series?

A Good Series

Well Written with excellent character development and loads and loads of action. I don't think you can go wrong reading the three books of the Breadwinner Series. As can see and guess, I loved them. Just wish there were more than 3 books.

Glad I gave series a shot. Talented author. Looking forward to seeing what he does in future. My only criticism is this could have been one book instead of 3 short ones.
