Empires rise and fall on the Yulan Continent. Saints, immortal beings of unimaginable power, battle using spells and swords, leaving swathes of destruction in their wake. Magical beasts rule the mountains, where the brave – or the foolish – go to test their strength. Even the mighty can fall, feasted on by those stronger. The strong live like royalty; the weak strive to survive another day.
This is the world which Linley is born into. Raised in the small town of Wushan, Linley is a scion of the Baruch clan, the clan of the once-legendary Dragonblood Warriors. Their fame once shook the world, but the clan is now so decrepit that even the heirlooms of the clan have been sold off. Tasked with reclaiming the lost glory of his clan, Linley will go through countless trials and tribulations, making powerful friends but also deadly enemies.
Come witness a new legend in the making. The legend of Linley Baruch.
After the last volume, which focused heavily on strategic warfare and the rise of an empire, in which Linley didn't get that much focus, this volume feels like one of the earlier entries to the series; take Linley and Bebe and put them on an adventure with allies. The volume was fun to read and the finale might be one of the most intense finales I've ever read and had me clenching my butt for its entirety - given the fact that the finale was like ten chapters long, maybe that explains the cramps in my lower half I'm having after finishing this volume. Also, if you've made it this far in the series, you don't need me telling you how amazing, over the top and badass this series is to convince you to read the next installment.
This book has been well translated. There is a good development of sequences throughout the book. The characters personality and development is very good. Amazing description of events. Very entertaining and encompasses different aspects such as love, hate, hardworkingness and bloodshed. All the relationships in the book are in tune with one another. I really like this story
Hohohoho one of my favorite manhua hohohohohoho manhua to slow but i never thought they have a novel **** i miss it a lot, now is my chance i can't stop thinking bout it, wu dong qian kun already finish but the ending im not very satisfied.
The previous books in the series are serious page turners, but the whole middle section is as tough for us to read as it was for Linley to survive. Ye gods, it was a struggle, and I seriously thought about putting the book down. However, the beginning and the end make up for it. The end is good enough that it pays off all the toil of getting there. Nevertheless, the previous books didn't make me struggle to read them, so this book gets a weaker review despite the awesome conclusion.
This must be my favorite part from the entire series. It's just that amazing. The idea its self is not new, a group of fighter climbing a tower to get a treasure. SAO, ToG, HXH, Tower of Druaga, etc. Not that special.
But wow, I still like it anyway. There's so many people dying, so many near death experience, so many griefs. But in the end they still have to move on. Because everyone in the continent wants to be a god, worshipped by the people. ofc.
