Craving Lucy was the second book in the Lucy & Harris series by Terri Anne Browning. The series focused on Lucy Thornton, the oldest daughter of Demon’s Wings drummer and Harris Cutter, the oldest son of OtherWorld’s drummer. The series was a spinoff from Browning’s Rocker series.

Craving Lucy was a novella and ended on a cliffhanger. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers; however, the author was clear upfront on what to expect; therefore, the choice to continue was mine. I enjoyed the progression of the story but desired more substance. It was a good buildup to the relationship, but not much depth and could have been accomplished easily in a full novel. Thankfully at the time of this review, the book was free; otherwise, I recommend to the author creating a box set for the entire series as one purchase.

As to the story, I enjoyed it up until the cliff hanger. I could see it (or something like it) coming a mile away, so I wasn’t surprised, but I had hoped for something different. It was written fine, just not my preference for the direction. It does; however, set the stage for other character stories once this series is complete.

So now onto the next installment of the series, Rocking Kin.

Enjoyable, but also frustrating.
There's no excuse for Harris to go weeks ignoring Lucy's texts, especially when they're usually texting everyday.
At the party, Jenna says she's going to break up with Tessa the next day, but lets Tessa stay with her that night?
Harris knows what Tessa's like, and when he gets home he doesn't see Jenna, only Tessa, but doesn't think twice about drinking something that's sitting out for anyone to tamper with? How did Harris not lock his door? Or did Tessa pick the lock? Where was Jenna during that time? She just didn't notice her girlfriend was MIA?
Harris should've stayed at Jace's place again until Tessa was no longer in the picture!
At the end it sounds like Lucy isn't sure whether Harris was a willing participant in Tessa's video. Yet it was pretty clear in Tessa's msg that she was getting revenge on both Harris and Lucy, so i'm not sure why Lucy thinks differently? I'm sure it may be difficult to forgive him for being in that situation after watching all of that, but I don't think she has reason to doubt his willingness.
In the next book i'm hoping that as soon as Harris is awake, he goes to the hospital and gets a drug test so he can then press charges against Tessa.

I really can't get enough of these characters........................

Reading the ups and downs that face Harris and Lucy pulled at my emotions. With such amazing high points you are waiting for the giant low and leave it to Tessa to deliver on that!! I seriously don't know what to say other than stay Lucy and don't run -> PRETTY PLEASE.

I have a bunch of spoilers but only because those were the moments where I was scowling at the book/novella/whatever.
I already said on the review of the first novella but I will say it again because now it really feels that way. To make a novella series... seriously? Do you just want people to buy books, you don't care at all about anything else?

This novella is not bad but there were several moments that were really bad. The story starts from Lucy and Harris' first kiss. He never calls her back for almost two weeks. Why? Because he says he misses her too much and because he needed to have his whole focus on Jenna. Well I say he is a dick. There is not one person in the world that won't think that you're either dead, hurt or don't want to talk to me if you do that. They are best friends and he can't pick up the phone and say he needs to focus on something else but he is ok? I'm sorry to me it does not show how much you crave or love somebody it just shows me how much of an asshole you are. Obviously she forgives him.
Then there is a whole scene with Caleb, Kin's stepbrother, that was completely unnecessary. Harris going crazy jealous... you did not need to put in another character. This is a freaking novella, stop introducing new characters you will not develop later!!

The whole Jenna/Tessa mess... REALLY? There is a crazy woman in your apartment trashing the place, blaming you, trying to rape you in your sleep and you keep saying "i´ll wait until jenna comes back and toss her out"? Seriously? That is your freaking apartment. I don't give a rat's ass if Jenna asked to let Tessa stay there. Which btw.. why? Does she not have a place of her own? And what exactly did Jenna expected on letting her girlfriend stay at her shared apartment with Harris? There are so many things wrong from the beginning that just... Argh! This was ridiculous.

The cliffhanger... really? Really?

Oh oh oh and now Lucy

Ok, I think this cliffhanger was the worse in history because this is a novella, it wasn't supposed to have follow ups and the adding of drama just made it into more of a last minute idea than a thought out book.
I was enjoying their story and now I just want to walk away because they are extremely immature (I know they are young but come on!) and the drama is ridiculous.

3.5 Lucy & Harris Stars

Lucy & Harris’s romance continue in Craving Lucy. Harris is determined to wait to be with Lucy until she is 18. But its becoming harder and harder for him to resist.

Reading Catching Lucy you know that there are problematic people in Harris' life that want to see him fail. It was a little predicable and I could see it coming a mile off.

As I've said before I love Terri and her books rock, but unfortunately this wasn't my favorite in the series. In saying that I will continue with the series as I do want to know what happens with them.

I'm really loving all the twists and turns of Harris and Lucy's relationship now that they are more than friends. The other characters are starting to broaden the story out a couple make you want more and that ending tore me apart.

3.5 rating. Very mixed emotions on this one. Enjoyed the characters and their family dynamics. Just, feel a disconnect. I'm just not invested:(. Overall, the storyline is fine and has even flow to it. Will finish the rest of this story soon.

Lucy & Harris

Lucy & Harris’s romance continue in Craving Lucy. Harris is determined to wait to touch Lucy until she is 18. His hormones are fighting hard and Lucy is tempting him in the worst way.

Harris is confronted by Jesse about his feelings towards his daughter and Lucy is still keeping their relationship a secret from her family. But once she turns 18 she tells Jesse about them dating and is surprised with how well everything goes.

After reading Catching Lucy you know that Tessa is a problem. I kind of knew what was going to happen with her character. Jenna is out of rehab and going to break things off with Tessa supposedly. Tessa has a vengeful plan to ruin Lucy & Harris because she is losing Jenna.

We also learn Lucy’s secret way of coping, which was predictable to me as well. Maybe I have a lot of screwed up people in my life that I can see these flaws and issues before the story tells me.

The cliffhanger is the revenge that Tessa applies to the couple. Now I know that all will be okay in the end because of the circumstances but we have to wait until the next 2 books are released for the conclusion of Lucy & Harris.

The sweet love story of Lucy & Harris continues in Craving Lucy. They are together and happy but it is getting harder for Harris to keep his hands to himself until Lucy turns 18. When everything finally seems to go perfect, because of the wrong people around them their relationship takes a huge wound. Are they strong enough to surpass this? Will their relationship and love strong enough? Yeah, yeah I know you want to know what will happen next, it is on ‘Un-Shattering Lucy’ but if you are just starting to read the series you are soooooo luck because next book is out. I had to wait a year to read it.

Wow I thought the first book left unresolved issues. Warning this book leaves a huge cliffhanger! It's so hard to see both sides of the picture in this novella. I want to believe in Harris but I feel like he made such stupid mistakes and started playing games. Lucy and Harris have such a connection it's so hard to read them going through so much crap off and on. I don't want to give spoilers away. I can't wait for the next book since this ones literally leaves you hanging off a cliff. The author definitely knows how to capture your attention and keep you coming back for more. *Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood *

You got to be fn kidding me. It can't end like that. Didn't realised there would be a third book. Frustrating at that ending.

When will Rocking Kin & Shattering Lucy be out? Any one know. Thanks

Just looked up on Amazon and there is now a warning saying ends on cliff-hanger. (Damn wish I knew that before I read it. ) And Shattering Lucy won't be out till 2016.
Just gobsmacked that, that's how it ended and have to wait over 6 mths to find out what happens.

But I did love Lucy & Harris story.

I am loving this series. Lucy and Harris seem to be slowing working out their differences, but are still keeping their relationship secret. Harris wants to wait until Lucy turns 18 to take anything further. But there are people (one in particular) whose lives are changing and they are out for revenge.

Make sure you tighten your seat belts, because the ending of this one is going to throw you from you seat. Hurry up and write so I can find out exactly how things are going to play out for these two...

Getting Better...

I am still confused of the format of this book series. Why the novellas, and not just push out the entire book. This book ends in a cliffhanger, and the next book is Kin and Jace...What? I am reading after everything has been released so I am skipping their book and finishing the story.

Lucy and Harris finally let each other know how they fell about each other and then poof Harris isn't answering his phone or text.
Lucy was mad that she had trusted him again. Eleven days and no word. Now he is back and expects Lucy to jump when he summons her. Luckily she didn't hesitate to tell him what to do. Once things were finally explained they were able to move on.
Of course their romance isn't smooth sailing after that. Jealousy from Harris and then of course Tessa is up to no good and the consequences of her actions may have a far reaching effect on their relationship. It does leave you with a cliff hanger wondering what will happen next for them.

Language: R (165 swears, 74 "f," 1 "c"); Mature Content: R; Violence: PG13
I liked this middle part of the story better than the beginning, and I feel like Lucy and Harris do a lot of things right with their relationship regarding communication of their thoughts and feelings. However, I am not a fan of the sexual content included, though it was mostly just one scene to skip over. The mature content rating is for drug and alcohol use, mentions of oral and vaginal sex, pornography, description of physical sexual responses, dry humping, and sexual harassment and abuse. The violence rating is for blood and self harm.

I read some of the bad reviews and was surprised at how low they rated them for the reasons they gave. I absolutely love Harris & Lucy. I knew Tessa was trouble and figured something was going to happen but I really thought it was going to be people finding out that Harris hid the issues with Jenna not what happened. I think even though what Tessa did to Lucy, the author showed how much Lucy has grown and how strong she has gotten even though she doesn't see or feel it.

Toca tener paciencia.

I was loving the story thinking there's only a few chapter left to the story of Harris and Lucy when IT happened and I loved it... but...

Next book is entitled ROCKING KIN???
So I opened it and... checked the last 3 or 4 chapters and started there... and then there's book 4...

This continuation novella is filler drama and nothing more. This couple’s story should have been one book not four! Plus, I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact the Harris is suppose to be a successful 23 year old. He’s written like he’s still in high school with the heroine. It’s disconcerting to say the least.

This is the continuation of Lucy and Harris's story. When Harris gives into his attraction to Lucy and kisses her, it changes everything but then life gets in the way. This story truly broke my heart. I love Lucy, Harris and all their friends. I can't wait for more of their stories.
