This book was absolute garbage. I am still amazed at how many 5-star reviews this book has.

1st of all: Nothing about Jamie is funny in the least. I found some of the first-graders recycled dad jokes to be more funny than anything Jamie had. It got pretty pathetic after a while.

2nd: I'm not sure if James Patterson has any idea what modern-day bullying looks like. The whole wedgie/swirly thing is so damn stereotypical middle-school bullying, but as a middle schooler, I have never seen/experienced anything like Patterson describes. Maybe it was like this 20-30 years ago, but nowadays... no, no, no.

3rd: Middle school romance? Please. Don't even get me started on this bullcrap. Honestly, people going to each other's houses, and sending flirty back-and-forth DM's on Instagram is about as romantic as you get in middle school. All of this "bench near the beach at midnight, sharing feelings, and kissing" is just his wistful thinking.

SUCKED.

EDIT: I think that part of what triggered me so much about this book, is that it also has this underlying theme: "If you're famous, it's ok to be a total douche to your friends, and then apologize and expect your fame and the benefits that come with it to fix everything."

"Apologies don't mean a thing, if you don't ever fix it." - NF
"Actions speak louder than words do, it's pretty quiet, isn't it?" - NF
"Mistakes can make you grow, that doesn't mean your friends." - NF

James Patterson is a great author to read. These books by him I read are great. I can't wait to read the next book in his series. I like about this book that Jamie is faced with many problems, but he somehow overcomes them just by being himself. I would recommend this book to everyone of all age because this is very entertaining.

This series is a good series I won't lie. Was this the best book in the series? Most definitely not. Why you ask? Well, unlike the other books this one did not have the suspenseful feeling to it that the other ones did because Jamie is no longer competing in the competition. When Jamie was competing in the competition the books were great because it made the book funnier and more exhilarating. I still liked this book anyways though. Overall it was a good book but it doesn't compete with the other ones. This book was more about Jamie's life after that big storm that happens in the third book. I really hope that James Patterson makes another book in this series because I really enjoy this series.

I thought that this book was very funny. The illustrations are very well drawn and made the book more interesting. I would recommend this to my friends in my class. I have ordered more books from this series.

My favourite part was when the school bully called Stevie Kosgrov meets a new bully called Lars Johannsen from Minnesota who started the school.

What the bully Stevie Kosgrov has done to other people , Lars does the same things to Stevie and so makes Stevie realise what he has done in the past and feels sorry for the people that he has bullied and becomes a nicer person.

A theme in this book is perseverance because Jamie the main character is handicapped and in a wheelchair and has big dreams of winning comedy contests and being on live TV. But it is hard for him as he gets bullied a lot and lost his family in a car crash a few years ago but he persevered through his challenges to perform in a live TV sitcom.

I read this because I wanted to know what my 10-year-old was reading, and I was pleasantly surprised. Good message, good values. No bad language or rude humor. I am perfectly comfortable with him reading these books. It’s so nice to find a series for older kids like that—they seem so few and far between.

The book I funny tv is mainly about the main character and his friends but this time Jamie has his own tv show. But because of his new tv show Jamie funny he has to leave school so the production team decided to hire a tutor.Another thing is that now that he became more famous other comedians started to get mad so a new bully named lars johannsen and he becomes the new bully.Because of him having his show he has less time to be with his friends so the production team makes fake friends.Overall this book is good and I recommend this to people who like to laugh.

Jamie Grimm is a boy who lost his family and his ability to walk when he was young. Now, many years later, he is the Planet's Funniest Kid Competition champion, and he won one million dollars and his own TV show. When the people from Hollywood come to his school so he can sign confirmation papers, he begins to have second thoughts. Jamie finally agrees to do the show, and he goes to Hollywood to start training for the show. They decide to do a practice show in front of Jamie's fans, but he freaks out and is frozen on stage. This makes the producer lose faith in him and they select another person to play his role. He finally wins back the trust of the producer, and he gets the show back and does a great job in the season premier.
The character I like most in this book is Jamie, who is also the main character, because even though he has had many tragedies in his life, such as losing his ability to walk and his family, he still has a TON of humor in him that he shares with the world. This book makes me think about how bullying is a real problem that needs to be taken care of. I think this because in I Funny TV, Jamie is picked on by 2 kids because he has disabilities. This kind of bullying happens in real life and needs to stop. When I read this book I feel like there are many people in the world who have worked through major problems in their lives and done something great. A part of this book that I dislike is when Jamie messes up in the practice session of this show. I don't like this part because it makes it seem like Jamie lost a lot of his talent. A question I have about this book is why did Jamie move in with his aunt and uncle instead of his other uncle who owns a diner. I ask this because it seems like Jamie has a better relationship with his other uncle. If I were Jamie when he was being asked to do the show at first, I would've agreed right away because I would not want to lose the 1 million dollars I'd already spent. This was an ok book and I would recommend it to someone who is not that into reading and has lots of time on their hands.
This is an overall good book that I would recommend to anyone who likes to read comedy books. I Funny TV has many funny and many sad moments, but also some boring moments that made it lose a star.

Jamie Grimm is getting his chance to take advantage of one of the rewards for being selected America's Funniest Kid Contest. That's right ... he is going to get to star in his own sitcom, called Jamie Funnie. You would think this would be a dream come true. Unfortunately, it presents more challenges than one would think with chances to offend his friends to a child starlet trying to take over the show as her own. The result is that Jamie finds himself almost wishing the opportunity had never come along.

Readers get to join Jamie through the experience, which is filled with the usual amount of humor. It is not surprising since Jamie is the standup coming that has to sit down ... at least, that is how he refers to himself because he is in a wheelchair after having survived a tragic accident that took the lives of his parents and younger sister. That has not kept him from finding the lighter aspects of his life, and he continues to do that in this book. Nothing that happens on the set of his show ends up causing him to give up. A lot of that is due to his friends and family, but it really comes to the fact that he is a funny guy.

As with the other Middle School stories, bullying consistently is represented, and the books provide great advice how not to let bullies overwhelm you. It is a nice message, and it is embedded in all the books in a way that it doesn't come across cheesy or preachy. The book is definitely a fun read, but it really probably requires the reader to read that earlier I Funny books, but that is not a problem since they are all enjoyable.

Jamie Grimm has won a contest and is now making a TV show as his prize. He had quite some trouble with what it should be called, and what it's about. After awhile, the Saturday Night Live people figured out what they should call the show, "Jamie Funnie". Then, the SNL people fired the selfish director, and Jamie told them to hire his friend Gilda to be a director! She made the show great! The thing I didn't like about this book is that the plot of each part of the story was slow moving. At the end of the story, it made me feel happy, but I'll not let you know why because you have to read it yourself. You should also read Diary Of A Wimpy Kid because they are both funny and the main characters are in middle school. Will Jamie Grimm be successful with his show, and will everybody like it? Find out in I Funny TV!

I Funny T.V is about a handicapped boy named Jamie. He has recently won the competition The Funniest Kid Comic in the World. When he won he signed a contract that said he would get his own T.V show called Jamie Funnie. Jamie is unsure about going on with the plan but he already used the prize money that he would half to return if he hanged his mind, so he agrees to do it. During the final rehearsal in front of a live audience Jamie freezes and forgets everything he is supposed to do. The director decides that he may half to make a serious cut, like cutting Jamie.

I really liked this book. The characters were realistic and the story was easy to follow. I am giving this book four stars because the only thing that I would have changed is adding more detail to the setting the characters were in.

I really loved this book! I recomend that you read the First Three 'I Funny' books before you read this book! The book is about a kid in a wheelchair named Jamie Grimm. Jamie has three best friends named Jimmy Pierce, Joey Gaynor and Gilda Gold. Jamie entered a contest called 'The Planets Funniest Kid' comic contest and won! The prize was a check for $ 1,000,000 and a T.V. Sitcom! The name of the T.V. Show is 'Jamie Funnie'. Jamie has a peculiar family. He lives with his cousins named the Smileys. What's funny about the Smileys is they rarely smile. Jamie has an awesome uncle named Frankie. Uncle Frankie almost always has a yo-yo. Uncle Frankie is also a yo-yo champ. I loved this book because it was silly and made me laugh.

"I Funny Tv". The title of this book should be "I Not Funny Tv" because this book wasn't what I was expecting from a James Patterson book. The plot is good and all, but it just doesn't follow up with the other book I have read form this series. What I don't understand is how the plot goes from being the most funniest kid in the world to being in a T.V show. In my opinion, thats pretty farfetched. It's really upsetting to give such a good series a bad review. Hopefully this next book in the series can make me feel a bit better. Not any page in the book made me crack a smile. If you're bored and looking for a time waster, "I Funny Tv" is the book for you.

This book was very good and had lots of comedy. I most of all liked how this kid was in middle school like me and got to experience all of his comedy acts. Even though he is crippled it does not hold him back from achieving his goals. The only thing that does is him chocking on stage in front of lots of people. Overall, I funny TV was a really funny book and was pretty interesting

This is a hilarious story. It is great for both younger and older people. I liked this book, and you will too.
