STARRING HEROES FROM THE PRE-FLASHPOINT DCU! Life for Harley Quinn has become downright normal over the last year. Will she be ready to go nuts when Catwoman and Poison Ivy draft her to fight – Captain Carrot?!

I'm binging on Harley Quinn comics. Yes, the Suicide Squad movie can do that to you.
In this story, a mysterious dome appears over Gotham, and all metahumans loose their powers. In this context, Harley gets arrested and rehabilitated. While still having hallucinations about the Joker, she manages to get it together and get off the medication. She even starts dating a former cop whose hand she smashed. But all good things must come to an end, and the entity who placed the dome announces some kind of Hunger Games, at the end of which only one city will survive. The first battle is set between Harley Quinn and some weird rabbit guy, Captain Carrot.
I really like the art. Harley, Ivy and Catwoman look amazing.
I have been reading the main line of Convergence alongside the side issues for the characters I really enjoy as well. I picked up the Harley Quinn one cause duh, Harley Quinn and I have to say I liked it ten times better than the actual Convergence line of comics that's out right now.
There's not much to say without giving things away but I will say this, if you're looking for a great, interesting, and slightly darker Harley story than this is a great two issue arch for you!
I had an entry called "Harley Quinn: Convergence" in my HQ reading list, turns out there was never really a book with that title released. Sure, the two Harley Quinn-related issues of the Convergence events could be purchased as part of a bigger Convergence collection but good fucking luck lol, Big Comic Book Events are the fucking scourge of the big two. Every comic book event I partake in, I do so against my will and consent!
So here we are, enough of a HQ hoe that I actually bought these two issues separately off Amazon. Okay, all the different DC timelines and continuities are gonna be dukin' it out? Sure whatevs, I feel like both DC and Marvel have done this before, but okay.
I'll grant them it was a nice fresh angle with Harley on meds, dating some cop she put in the hospital as Gotham is separated from the rest of the world in a dome. Issue ends with Ivy and Selina juicin' her up again so she's ready to fight Captain Carrot in issue two. Okay sure, whatever!
For someone not familiar with what the Convergence storyline is about, this might not be a good entry point. Here we see Harley go up against...Captain Carrot.
Really good! I love that the Sirens are getting back together, even if it's only for two issues. We definitely need more Gotham City Sirens to happen. There's a little hint of Harley/Ivy from Catwoman but that's it. I haven't been keeping up with these characters lately so I don't know where they're at before this. They do provide a character history in the back though. I'm looking forward to the next issue!
This shows what might happen to Harley if she was suddenly forced to become, well, normal. At the end of the comic it also gives a good amount of background on her, though most people would know most of the information. It's more an explanation of, "This is this world's Harley." Harley's the determining factor of this world. That's a scary thing! And brilliant!
Love the Setup of the Story, and all the side personal stuff going on with Harleen Quinzel. Then all of a sudden it becomes a cross between Under The Dome, and a DC version of Celebrity Death Match or Capcom Fighting game. Also wasn't too Happy with how puny Captain Carrot was drawn on The Splash page. But besides that, its a Harley book, so I'll always embrace it.
It was cool to see old school Harley Quinn for a change. Her new 52 version can be a lot. I was surprised to see Captain Carrot. Kind of random to me. The Gotham City Sirens of Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn were all together again. To cause havoc or save the world? The answer may surprise you!
Those foxy sirens must get back together to save the city from destruction. The only problem is that Harley is no longer crazy. Well at least we think she's not. That's all about to change. Hahahaha She's hilarious!
This one is very interesting: DCU meets Under The Dome meets The Hunger Games. Who woulda thought?! Gotta say I'm mostly intrigued to finish reading it.
