The Black & Decker books are consistently solid on how-to information. Where they vary wildly is in the area of design and examples of finished projects. I found this one very much geared toward larger yards and what I call the "Great American Suburban Clone Yard" look. Doesn't mean it's not useful. It's just not idea-packed for those with very small yards or in urban areas or who don't think grass is a great idea in drought-prone areas.
