Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.
In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.
I gave this collection of awesome books five stars but I wish I could give 72 stars because all of these stories was beyond good they were excellent. I laughed, I cried, I fussed, I sighed, and I will be reading it again. To each and every author let me say thank you for sharing your talents with me. This bookset will truly be read over and over again. Hugs ladies Mwah!!!!!!
I wish there was a pik of all 12men in a Calender's shot at the end of the complete book. Would've been worth the wait!! Mr. December Kennedy is a hotty!! I'm glad Jade had fun and took a chance on a man with a eccentric yet demanding lifestyle. Never judge ppl, just try to see things in a different perspective, but don't lose your own morality in the process. Can't change nobody but yourself then you'll find exactly what you need to progress.
Mr. November Justice Howard is such a sweetpea. The way he was their for his brother and nieces and nephews was wonderful. Family is important, and I'm glad Angelique had her Auntie because she needed love of family too. Her and Justice's story seems like it's just beginning!
Mr. October Reid Holden what a hunk of a jock! I want to know if this book will be a sequel!? I'd love to know how meeting each others family went. Nadia's parents is very pro black, I can see her dating Reid a issue being he broke her heart once already.
Mr. September Bastian is a German-American firefighter. A southern gentleman, and a lover! I see why Jazz don't fuvk with her family, or why she don't discuss them. They are nasty, sadistic, petty shits! I want to read more on their relationship. Will pops get his great grandbabies!?
YAAAS Mr. August Tego Montclair Omega!! Leo Zodiac here! He's a Alpha built wolf with Omega qualities.Wow that bonding was quick and intense. I've never read a paranormal/shifter fiction so thorough. I learned alot bout their ways and traditions, but also their oppression within designations. I want to read more of the series!
Mr. July Kenzo Tenaka I'm glad he did his photoshoot before he went to war with the clan lol! He got his ass kicked! And Bruce would've got choke slammed setting me up! I want to read the rest of the series in September!
Mr. June was a hot piece of manliness!! I loved the excitement, and the fight scenes! Tabitha"Tia" James kicks ass!! I think I'm goin to get into the whole series by this author. All the characters seem loyal and family orientated in this agency action romance drama.
Mr. May was a surprise! I didn't think Loan Hughes could've got Dr. Alex to pose for charity. I thought it would've been an persuasive Jasmine to do the trick. All in all I don't like Jasmine's Father, but I'm glad Alex told him off and saved his life. What a catch 22!
I like a good paranormal read I've never heard of amorfeli, but shit sounds sexy! I wish I can turn into a lynx cat! Shimar and Nayla are the cutest!
Mr. March Kinson Lee the Yogi Master! He's a Dom too go figure lol! This was cute n erotic. Madison is a freeeeak!!
Max and Tamara's story was so heart-filled. I truly understand Max's concerns and feelings being a disabled Navy Veteran and single parent myself. Although I'm a woman, parenting has no gender limits. Single parenting is stressful. This story touched my heart especially Diggs unfortunate plight. But I'm glad and praise the writer for all the details and information written about Single Fathers. Great read!
This was recommended to me after I purchased an ebook. It was actually a pre-order which was the first time I had done that. I had forgotten all about it when I received an email notification that it was loaded onto my kindle. I missed the memo that the stories were interracial BWWM but I got past that as I started to read the first month. I liked how all the stories had a connection and it was fun trying to figure out who the link would be. 12 different writers, many with different styles and even some alternative genre twists made for a unique collection. If you like romance stories and want to discover newer, indie writers this is a great way to do it.
This box set was packed full of sexy Alpha Males and what more could you ask for?? Oh yea, the book being ONLY 99 cents!! This is a collection of stories by 12 different authors but they all center around a male calendar for charity. Each story has an amazingly sexy alpha male who gets his own month in the calendar. This was a terrific collection of stories and now I just have to get my hands on one of those calendars!!
12 Alphas 12 months for me was up and down, my hat is off to the twelve authors who took on his challenge. Each author set the bar for the authors coming behind them. My favorite months were January, February, May, September, October, November and December. If you are looking for verity this is the box set for you a little romance, BOSM, sex, shifters, and secrets.
Each month had a sexy Alpha man. The book covered all types of relationships. There are several months that I will read again. I wish I could get that calendar.
I enjoyed all of the stories. Some were very out there but we're fun to read. Usually I don't read all the stories from a bundle, but pick them up between other books. I love your stories Maureen Smith
Loved the books but they remind me of a writers group where everyone is given an assignment. Reading ten of the twelve ( don't like sports romance), I found the need of a good editor. Adult readers only.
What could be better than 12 great authors coming together to publish a book about alpha men? And for the price of $.99? When this book became available for pre-order I immediately one-clicked. You know how you are so excited about something but it doesn’t really live up to your expectations? That’s how I felt about this boxset. Don’t get me wrong each author is great and each story represented them well it was just enough to whet the appetite. My issue was that some of the stories just seemed thrown in and it didn’t really flow well. Also where was an editor? This is not to bash anyone but to say that I am a fan girl of many of these authors and some I know personally but this anthology was not the best reflection of their work as a whole. Because this is an anthology I can’t possibly review each story this would be a dissertation vs. a review. If you have read anything from these authors you should note that some of these stories are follow-ups to series. One in particular Serenity King’s Solomon’s Quest as readers we got introduced to Solomon through the Cameron brother’s trilogy he was always the mysterious protector well now he is out of the shadows and trying his own shot at love. Tabitha is a firecracker with many deep secrets. I personally had to reach out to the author with this story because it was so deep and well told that I had many questions. When I first heard of this boxset I thought I was getting something whimsical and then I read Mr. June and boy was it hot!!!! Tabitha has suffered through a lot I mean it was like reading an episode of “how to get away with murder” it was so many twist and turns and just rawness that I had to take a little break and ask what in the world? ( in a good way) Because of all the walls she has built up and rightfully so considering her heartbreaking past Tabitha will not allow herself to love or trust. And here comes Solomon like the mighty King himself and breaks down every break and uncovers every secret. Readers find out what happens when what happens in the dark comes to the light. Now, ladies you know its not an alpha anything without some Maureen Smith. Most of these stories are short this one included but in such a small time they leave you wanting much more including this story. Nadia has a thing about jocks but she has never met a man like Reid. All I can say is rocket it to the water falls!!! ( If you have read the story you will get the reference) Nadia was a bit insecure my goodness they broke up as fast as they got together. She annoyed me with all her silly hang ups. But when they got together oh it was on. I will say the whole give me a date for a quote got a little weird because it seemed like they were using each other for other people. i.e. the photos, quotes, interview I will say that this story was one of my favorites it was a true romance story boy meets girl they have a miscommunication break up and get back together and we get a h.e.a. I hope Mrs. Smith turns this into a longer book I already know like many of the other authors she has a lot on her plate but one can hope.
All in all in this box set it is something for everyone some stories need to come with a warning. Please judge this anthology for yourselves and not based on this one review
Great Set. Lots of Heat and spice. I enjoyed all the stories in the set. I wanted to read the Succulent story by Author TJ Michaels, which had another volume to the Twilight Teahouse series. Book 1 we met Solee and Burton. Book 2 we met Mackenzie and Landon. Book 3 we meet Madison and Kinson. I loved Madison and Kinson's story. What really caught my interest is Kinson, who is determined to woo and romance his wife and he does just that...but with some serious HEAT and SPICE. But the wooing and romancing comes with at a cost. You have not one but two successful business'es run by two very driven people who until lately have had a successful and satisfying D/s relationship with Kuri. Kinson is a world renowed Yogi. Madsion owns and operates Twilight Teahouse, a restaurant that has some serious adult playrooms. Madison, Kinson and Kuri are trying to stay together but there are not enough hours in the day for all that encompasses their very busy lives. Kinson sensing that his wife Madison is about to shut down from stress, the business and from missing her travelling husband. Kinson comes home early from his latest trip to put his romance plan into motion. First, Kinson must thaw out Madison. She is in a mood from which no simple kiss and hug will do, Madison misses her husband, misses the interaction. Kinson comes up with special meals, massages and some serious couple time for him and Madison. He sets out to pamper her and show Madison that he does love and need her. However, in the midst of romancing Madison, Kinson has not shown any attention to their submissive, Kuri. As Madison and Kinson renew the spark in their marriage, Kuri is left out and thus seeks her own distractions.
These authors are new to me. I love to read stories with non white main characters just as equally as any other story but the stories kind of seem thrown in after the fact and didn't jive with calendar theme. I started with Beg For It but was turned off at the mention of "cream inching down her thighs" when she saw the hero. Got Your 6 was part of a series and I needed to go back and read the others. I'm wondering if these are all the same people because again in Staking Naylia the author explains of "cream ran down and pooling in the hero's palm" Ick! All the Small things needed to see an editor. I might stick with what I'm used to for now and borrowing before buying. If you're on a budget and looking for a collection, give it a try.
12 stories connected by a charity calendar theme. Standouts for me - Mr. January: Beg for it by Angie Daniels, Mr. February: Reclamation:I've got your six by Erosa Knowles, Mr. May: Prescription for love by Seressia Glass, Mr. September: Inferno by Aliyah Burke, and of course Mr. October: Wicked Games by Maureen Smith.
What a wonderful series of books...all the authors did a great job. Several could have made them into full length books. Thank you Maureen Smith for doing just that. I loved them all..some had a few typos that need to cleaned up...Love the guys and the stories told surrounding their part in the calendar..wish I could have been on the shoots...
It took me awhile to finish the set. Some stories were better than others. I really appreciated the collaboration between the authors and how they chose to incorporate the calendar and photographer for charity in each story.
I have to say the each Author did an amazing job with their book. I could not stop reading and continued to want more. Great job, you all must do this again.
