Ruined is book four in the She Who Dares series, but can be read as a standalone.

Hugo
I like to fuck. A lot. Anywhere, anyway, as long as I’m shooting my load in or on some pretty young thing I’m good. In fact, scrap that, they don’t even have to be pretty. What can I say? I’m an equal opportunities kind of guy.
I pride myself on being able to turn even the most self-respecting woman into a dirty slut. I make no apologies for my life or my behaviour. I don’t care about anyone really, certainly not women.
Except her. I care about her, which is why I pushed her away.

Molly
I suppose I’m what you would call the good girl, the sensible one. I’m that girl, the romanticist. I believe in ‘the one’, in that all-encompassing love that leaves you unable to breathe without it.
The thing is though, love is an uncontrollable animal. The heart often declares war on the mind, and even the most rational being can become completely consumed by love.

Sometimes rational is boring. It’s the taste of the wild side that makes you remember you’re alive.

The heart wants what the heart wants, even if you end up completely ruined in the process.

I love LP's writing style...honestly, she is one witty chick.

Hugo is a nut, an absolute whack job and he had me in hysterics (Gaz stole the show for me).
Molly was....likeable, but hated that she yanked the good old doctor's chain.

I have to admit, I am a hero/heroine only love story lovin' kind of girl, and Hugo is a major dawg playa. So I went into this read strictly from a comedy type of read rather than a romantic read. So be warned - both characters stray and their commitment to one another takes quite some time to achieve in this read.

There are manwhores and then theres Hugo who got a double phd in manwhoreology. He was such a disgusting, desperate slut in the first 3 books, it wouldve a taken ALOT to convince me he changed. The guy was sick as in needed serious therapy. This is the kinda character who i knew in a couple years wouldve cheated on molly, and molly would forgive him so i guess they were a good match.

Hugo and Molly

They don’t get together until the last 3 chapters then they have a sexathon but who really cares because Hugo has been having hotter sex with hundreds of ow like every other page of this book up to the 90% mark. This book didn’t give you all the angsty feels that it could have because Hugo is such a surface level character with no depth. He has one job and it’s not to take out the trash— it’s to sleep with every woman he meets.

LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

"No-one ever said that love was straight forward. The heart doesn't play fair."

I knew this was going to be a phenomenal read! I LOVED Theo and Lilly's story and I didn't think it could be topped, but this story...Hugo and Molly's story...was hands down A-MAZING! It was crazy hot with such intense emotion. The writing is flawless, and the characters are so well developed and human that you can't help but fall in love with them! I laughed...I cried...I cringed...and...I even fist pumped with excitement!

Molly is the quintessential good girl. She's kind, generous, and loves deeply. Hugo is the definition of a manwhore. His only goal in life is to party and fuck as many woman as possible. When an unconventional friendship between the two begins to lean towards something more, Hugo becomes spooked leaving Molly heart broken and devastated.

When Molly realizes that Hugo will never be able to give her what she needs, she finds comfort in the arms of a swoon worthy, sexy doctor. Even though, this man is everything she has ever wanted, she struggles with taking her heart and walking away from Hugo. Finding herself in love with two very different men, one who is in love with her and the other who doesn't know what love is, she will have to make a choice and risk loosing it all.

This was such a great read! LP Lovell out did herself with this one. There were so many scenes that were simply priceless. The scene that we all wait for was everything I had hoped it would be. It was emotional, intense, and off the charts hot! The Vegas trips were epic! Holy shit, I was dying of laughter! It was so nice to read more about Theo, Lilly, and George; I have come to love these flawed, damaged characters. I don't know if there will be a book 5, but if so, pleeeease let it be about Alex! That man needs...DESERVES...his own book!

"Love is a war. She who dares...wins."

There are some books you read, finish the story and move on. THIS IS NOT THAT BOOK? It is technically book 4 in the series, but can 100% be read standalone.

Hugo is a horny, woman loving, booze drinking, man whore. And I love every minute of it. He is crazy, and loveable and we really see a new side to him. He is also sweet and loyal to those who he considers friends. And don’t get me started on Gaz, the lazy horny dog!

Molly is the sweet girl. She almost comes off as innocent, until she opens her mouth! She could give even the toughest of us a run for our money. And while best friend Lilly is away, things get interesting and fun!
I was rooting to these two from the very start!

If there were ever 2 people made for each other, to balance each other out, and tear up the sheets, it would be these two (yes, I know it’s fiction and they were “made” to be together, just go with it). Just reading about the tension in the room when they are together is enough to make you squirm. If there were flammable liquid in the room with them, they would have been the match to start the world a blaze! Oh, and make sure you have a sexy person, some extra panties and a huge supply of batteries!

Not everything is coming up roses however. There were parts I wanted to shake my Kindle and pray that one of them would wise up!

I am not going to ruin any parts for you because you do need to read all the debauchery for yourselves, but know you will laugh, scream, squirm, and maybe even shed a tear or 2. And the stag party… done in true Hugo style!

Firstly before I get into this I have 1 thing to say, and loud.....THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ....and these are my reasons why!

* The blurb had me hooked and wanting more
* Emotions - cackling in laughter (dog poo scene, stag weekend scene!)one minute and then shouting at my kindle the next....'admit you a-hole'!
* Fantastically written by a very talented author
* Relationships between characters reminded me of me and my friends growing up
* Full of English-isms!
* Sex was off the charts hot!

The list goes on and on!

Hugo is quite simply a dog, he doesn't hide it, he is just him and he is fabulous! The banter between him and Mollie is great. Mollie is someone I would love to have as a friend, supportive, kind, a great laugh and a decent drinking partner!

'What I didn't bank on was the fact that I would actually come to like the filthy prick' was probably the best line I have ever heard!

I am now a loyal follower of LP Lovell and I am just off to purchase her other books.....and I suggest you do too!!!

I read the previous three books Hugo was in and all I want to say is run Molly run. There is no way this man whore is going to be husband material. Keep him as a fuck buddy if you want but his type of fucked up thinking regarding conquests and sex is a guy to avoid at all costs long term. Why do authors think taming a man whore is a romantic theme? It's delusional and disgusting, and of course they are all STD free (eye roll). Most of these guys never change; its all about the dopamine rush of hitting it. Odds are he cheats in five years. If this was written truthfully.

The Good
We first met Hugo in the previous She Who Dares books and he was anything but a secondary character. He didn’t say much but when he did it was priceless. Every scene he was in, he owned it. His attitude, his antics and his pearls of wisdom were genius.

That is why everyone who read the first three books were chomping at the bit to get hold of Hugo’s book, including me. I wanted to read a book about a complete filter-less man-whore. I wanted to know more about who Hugo was and why he was the way he was and read about more shocking antics and hear more Hugo’isms because I knew I would be fist-bumping him and rolling on the floor laughing.

Molly was his go to girl on a dry spell. Hugo was happy in his own little Hugo world with his whores and his sluts and making sure Rambo was kept busy!

But Molly wanted more than to be picked up and dropped by Hugo. She wanted the undying love a partner should give you. She wanted security. She wanted the whole hearts and flowers. She knew all she would get from Hugo is a quick bunk up whenever he clicked his fingers.

Molly decided that she was going to make a go of things with her respectable boyfriend and she put Hugo in the friendship zone.

Obviously that didn’t work out too well for them both!!

And let’s not forget Gary! Gary was the Hugo of the dog world!

My Bad
Now I should have loved this book, but I didn’t. I was disappointed because although it started well with Hugo at his best, as the book progressed he started to grow a vagina. Yes I know all bad boys eventually turn into good boys when they meet ‘the one’ and all their past misdemeanours are forgiven, but I just didn’t feel it with Hugo and Molly. I began to wonder if Hugo was actually strong enough to carry a whole book.

Molly’s conflicted emotions about what her head was telling her in contrast to what her heart was telling her was the story here. Her turmoil was what took me to the end of the book because I felt invested in her and I had to know she would get her HEA. That surprised me because I thought I would be best buds with Hugo and laugh with him til the end but it was actually Molly I was following.

The Ugly
There’s nothing ugly about Ms Lovell’s books. She’s a fantastic author!

I love manwhore stories! 'Ruined' is a story of a manwhore, Hugo Harrison, who doesn't have a reason to grow-up. Hugo has it all, money, successful businesses, women at his beck and call, and good friends. Hugo obsessively enjoys sex, he doesn't go a day without it. He's a commitment phobe, as soon as there is any sign of feelings Hugo run for the hills. Molly and Hugo had several trysts and when Molly shares her feelings, Hugo in turns pushes her away.

Molly is a good girl, a good friend and a romantic. She was burned by Hugo in the past but when she needed him most, he was there for her. She sees beyond his facade, "Under all his womanising bullshit, he's actually a good guy. We become the most unlikely of friends." Although they have developed a friendship, they are still attracted to one another and have a deep down connection they struggle to avoid.

Hugo struggles with his self worth. He thinks of himself as a bad boy and not good enough for Molly. He uses sex as an emotional outlet. Hugo's lack of commitment pushes Molly into the arm of Alex, her security blanket.

Molly struggles with her feelings for two men."Alex is lovely, and I adore him. He's like a warm fire on a cold night, but he will never be the wild flame that is Hugo. He'll also never burn me. There's always a trade-off." Molly has to make a difficult decision, to follow her heart or settle for the safe bet. In the end Molly discovers "Love is war. She who dares...wins."

'Ruined' is funny, steamy, heart-wrenching, and delivers. This story had me annoyed, angry, laughing, and cheering for a HEA. Molly is a fighter, she follows her heart but knows when to walk away. Hugo is a real manwhore. He has issues that he avoids by having sex with half of London. Although they are an unlikely couple, the heart knows what it wants.

I saw this book being pimped on Facebook and the blurb sounded great and the cover was pretty hot, so I bought it.

Unfortunately, I found the book unreadable and therefore it was a DNF for me.

Now I realise I am in the minority as many people have rated this book 4 or 5* but I just couldn't push through the extremely bad editing. I've read a lot of books and never have I come across a published book that has been edited by someone who hasn't a clue about the rules of basic punctuation. That's if this book has even been near an Editor.

It's a shame that the story the author wanted to tell, has been totally ruined (no pun intended) by such shockingly bad editing. I am in no doubt that the premise of the story looks interesting and the characters could be great to read about. However, if the way the words presented on a page are clunky and disjointed through bad editing, it makes the book totally unreadable to me.

My advice to the author is to invest in an Editor and if you have and this is the standard of their work, then change your Editor!

4 stars for writing, -1 star for Hugo and Molly. I felt guilty about just giving this one star b/c it's really well written.

I hate giving one star to an author who can really write. But....this really was...just...hmm......icky. I wonder sometimes if some authors really do hate particular heroines, because a strong case can be made for that exact situation in this book. I just felt sorry for Molly and just kinda felt sorry for Hugo, too. Oh well, just my opinion. You may feel differently, to each their own.

AHHH LP!! YOU ARE KILLING ME!! I knew as soon as I picked up this book that I was about to get into a "If you disturb me while reading you're gonna lose a body part" mode. I wasn't wrong. I innocently decided to read Ruin while taking a break from packing to move. No packing was done for the last 12 hours much to my husbands dismay.

Hugo and Molly's story wrecked me in an unconventional way. These two have always been on a crash course for love in my opinion, but neither one of them are the type to settle down into a picket fence kind of life. Hugo is a man whore while Molly has a relationship phobia deeply rooted in sweaty, messy, dirty sex. Molly is much a divergent character in that she has a dark sensually side that she covers with an air of innocence, but we all know the dark, dirty Molly is her true self. In comparison to Hugo, Molly is the Mother Teresa of the the pair. Hugo will fuck any woman who won't shake him off as long as she strikes his mood right. He's not above paying for quality sex or stumbling in the bed of a woman in dire need to let go. He gets himself into legal situations because he literally cannot keep Rambo in his pants. Yes, ladies and gentlemen (and those who haven't read these marvelous books), he named his cock Rambo.

One of the best parts of this novel revolves around Molly and Hugo's love/hate sexual tension filled relationship. She's trying to do the right thing and date the kind of man her family expects, but Hugo is always there. The good Doctor has a moral streak and that doesn't bode well for their relationship when a horny Molly is on the lose and her B.O.B. just doesn't do the trick anymore. The batter back and forth between these characters made me cry I was laughing so hard especially Hugo's stint in sex addicts group counseling.

All in All, this story was a perfection addition to the She Who Dares series. Ruined was charmingly witty and sexually tension charged. Ladies, put your husbands on call because as soon as you finish this book you are going to need some sexual healing of your own. LP men out there thank you for this book! You've ruined me for awhile on dirty sexy romance! I doubt much could top this book.

I know it says that this can be read as a stand alone but i don't know that i would have enjoyed it as much, had i not read the first three books...so if it were up to me i would tell people to definitely read books 1-3 before reading this...Hugo is such a huge part of all the other books and i just don't think that you can truly appreciate the guy and all his sluttiness unless you've read all about the shenanigans he pulls in the earlier books!

Hugo is the quintessential manwhore...there is no misunderstood, tortured hero who is trying to drown his tortured past in sex, this is not a guy who is being made out to be something that he is not...he is a true, no holds barred 100% Grade A slut!! A man who proclaims to love p*ssy of any kind, if it's female he will take it, in his own words he "doesn't discriminate" and he is completely unapologetic about it! Molly is Lilly's bff (again, from the first three books) she and Hugo met in book 1...what started out as strictly sex somehow turned into a bit of a friendship and poor Molly's feelings have grown into something more which is what Ruined is about...Hugo and Molly's journey.

This book was absolutely hilarious!! The thoughts and things that come out of Hugo's mouth had me LoL pretty much throughout the entire book!! I felt so sad for Molly because she really was in love with Hugo and there was no sexual downtime for that man, in fact, the majority of the sex in this book was not with her! She did however have another guy to keep her focus for a while...Alex, who we met in book 3...holy cow, i think he might just be the perfect male ( a book for him would be lovely!). Of course, we also got a bit of George, Molly and Lilly's other bff and Lilly and Theo, which was a lot of fun!

I can't say that this book held quite the intensity that the first three books did for me, but it was highly entertaining! Anyone interested in reading this should def. read books one thru three first...do you need to? no, but you certainly won't regret it!

If this book was a purely romantic escapade than it would have been a one star for me because it fails dismally in that 'love cures all instantly' department. If you can ignore that fact & want a book that reads true to the nature of the beast than this book shines bright & is deserving of a five sexual stars.

The hero fucks his way through a plethora of women in between hooking up with the leading lady of the story without an ounce of discernibly remorse though this is done with no malicious attempt to hurt because he does not promise faithfulness. Thus there is no cheating. The romantic ending just reads a bit too quick for me & appears just there to tie up everything that leads up to that warm moment.

But since the author warns us that we on a journey with a rampant sexual beast than all is forgiven because she writes 'clean' dirty like few authors can & still makes her character appear likable despite his crude behavior through out the book.

My only negative comment as enjoyable as the various tryst were is that at 70% there was still zero to little realization on the man whore's part that he felt anything but sizzling lust & warm affection towards the heroine & than a sudden realization of a rush towards love.He fucked with wild abandon with nary a thought about our leading lady.

So if you are fine with a hero being an authentic man whore almost the entire novel than have at it.You will not be sorry because it's one of the best new adult novels currently out.

I want a full length George story next.

I actually liked Hugo in the previous books. I think it's because we got a glimpse to the same goodness within him that Molly sees. This book was no different. We actually get to see more into the perversion that makes him Hugo. The sex scenes were HOT!! Unfortunately, most of them are not between the main characters lol!! Hugo hurt Molly so much. But I didn't agree with her stringing along Dr. Alex. I get that you can love two people at once, but she knew she wasn't giving Alex enough. I felt she should have let him go long before she did. She made him fall in love with a version of her, not her true self, and that wasn't cool.

You can't hate Hugo for being a whore because he doesn't make any apologies for it. He knows who and what he is. You either accept him or not. I had a lot of love for him but he really frustrated me with his denial and how he deliberately hurt Molly. Glad he finally grew a set of balls!

A quote I liked: “You sure you don’t want my name tattooed on your arse? You could just have HUG, and then your hole could be the O.”
She throws her arms down either side of her on the sofa as she sighs. “Wow, just wow.”
She gets up and heads for the bathroom. “Just think about it.” I call after her, laughing.”

I really liked seeing Theo and Lilly again. Wish we could see their wedding and know they're good. These epilogues are not worthy!!

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I don't ever, and I mean EVER read a book out of series. I saw this one and it said that it could be read as a stand-alone, and I picked it up. Even so, I still usually start from the beginning. This was so out of context for me. But ANYWAY, it was a great book. I enjoyed it so much that I might have to go back and read the others, lol.

I enjoyed all the characters, every last one of them. I laughed so many times out loud, wondering where you can come up with some of that. I love a great book that has you laughing, crying, swooning, and jumping your husband all in one read, lol.

Hugo was a man whore, but I knew he had that big-ol heart inside that tones, muscular chest of his.

Alex was just fricken to sweet. An awesome, respectful guy that any woman would want.

Molly was a great character, although I did hate her father, selfish bastard. And although she struggled with so many decisions. The heart wants what the heart wants.

Lilly was a great friend, one anyone would love to have for there best friend. Gotta love those truthful ones. LOL

Charlie, gosh he was a hoot!!!! Couldn't help but like him. Another great friend.

It was a great book. All in all it ended just the way it should have.

Ruined by LP Lovell is the fourth book in her She Who Dares series but CAN be read as a standalone. This book, unlike the three predecessors focuses on Hugo and Molly, best friends of the main couple in books 1-3.

Picture the biggest manwhore ever. A gorgeous man with tons of sex-appeal that promises a fantastic time but makes no promises, no commitments. Then multiply that by 1,000 and you have Hugo.

Molly is a good girl except when it comes to Hugo. Hugo lets her be her true self. Problem is, Hugo knows in his soul that he's not good enough for Molly and pushes her away.

What happens when events continue to conspire to bring these two together? Fireworks, panty-melting fireworks of epic proportions. LOVED IT!!!

I received this book in return for an honest review

HOLY HELL!!! This is my first book by LP Lovell and I can say that I will be reading more! This book not only contains hot sex but also humor, love and lust. Its an all around amazing book.

Loved, Loved, Loved Hugo and Molly, their chemistry is out of this world hot. Hugo is a total manwhore and doesn't even deny it. He is not the relationship kind of guy that is until Molly creeps in and gets under his skin before he can stop it. Molly is fun loving and still believes the fairy tale of "the one" and finding prince charming.

If it were possible I would definitely be giving this book more than 5 stars. Loved it and cannot wait to read the other books I have now purchased of LP's.

I love this whole series. Hugo doesn't do relationships at all, not even friends with girls , not until Molly. Molly is a sweet girl who wants things dirty. Molly and Hogo have slept together in the past and Molly put a stop to it when she realized she was getting feelings for him. now she seeing alex a dr but her friendship with Hugo is growing along with her feelings, but when she decides she will have what she wants with Hugo she makes a decision but is it the right one. omg I don't want to say to much but omg I love Hugo and hate him but my god his sweet in his own way. the feelings and chemistry between these two is awesome. definitely a must read.

What can you say about Hugo! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because he was still not with his girl, lots of others but not his, at 90%. It was perfect for Hugo's story but I just need a bit of loyalty in my H's. Really loved this book and all the characters in it. Look forward to more from this author.

this is not my book, even i do love Theo and Lily, but not Hugo and Molly.
Stupid of them, wasted their time and caused Alex hurt.

Alex may not a good guy but he didn't deserve what he need to have. If Molly wants her wild, stay with Hugo, she needs to, she kept Alex becuase she thought it is her life boat.

I don't agree it.
