There was a hell of a lot more sex in this book than I was anticipating. I mean, sure it’s a romance novel, but it did seem a bit like every single character just wanted to have sex literally all the time. So really the plot ended up being side-lined at times because of all that, and I was definitely left wanting more plot and less sex scenes for most of the book.

There’s so much scope in this story, with such a varied cast of characters stuck together in one place. I love that all these people from completely different walks of life are suddenly thrown together. Because of this, I would have much preferred the whole story to be confined to the setting of the cruise ship, because the end started to get too hyper-real and prevented me from fully believing in the story.

However, I really liked the characters. They’re all so detailed and interesting that I wanted to learn more about every single one of them. It was nice that they were all so different yet similar at the same time, especially Cole and Tania. The only thing I would say about the characters is that I felt their relationships all happened far too fast to be truly lifelike and believable.

For its genre, Captain’s Orders is great. But I’m sorry to say that it wasn’t quite right for me - there were just too many plot holes and not enough actual plot! Still, if you’re a fan of sexy contemporary romance, this one’s definitely for you.

I was given this book by HEA BOOK TOURS and BOOK JUNKY TOURS. At first, I was not sure how plot worthy this book was going to be. Hot, steamy sex seemed to be the main priority. Not that that is a bad thing, but I enjoy a little plot, too. But as the book quickly progressed, I became completely entranced with Tania and Cole. I kept reading getting pulled along, but then it started to get off track for me. Too many people and too many plots intertwining. I mean you get your money's worth, but it is like 3 stories in one making it hard for me to really become invested in one story. The writing is good, and it is very sexy but it would have been amazing as three separate novels.

If you are looking for a steamy book that is well written, has interesting characters, a skillfully crafted plot with suspense and intrigue, this is for you! I am an avid reader and my litmus test of a good book is if I read it non-stop quickly and then want to go back and read it slowly savoring the story. Captain's Orders exceeded my expectations and I just started rereading it. I was bummed when I finished it and can't wait for the next one in the series. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. You won't regret it.

This book is a really well written story. All of the characters are well defined the backdrop for the story well scribed.
Twins Cole and Jack Carleton are the captains, of the cruise ship Sunset, and they are both very much players! Cole however, is having second thoughts about that aspect of his life. He is beginning to think that he really wants a more permanent relationship in his life, especially when he sees Tania for the first time on the dock for the Sunset.
Tania Shevchenko is watching the first class passengers boarding the Sunset, looking for her sister Oksana after receiving a call from her with panic in her voice conveying to her that she is in some trouble and would be on this cruise. Tania is there to help! I do not want to describe the book further; you can read the blurb for that.
I will say the book revolves around three couples in all. My favorite couple was Cole and Tania. I loved their story and all of the problems they overcome.
The book is too over-the-top for me in some aspects for my liking. In my opinion, there are too many major characters for the book to run smoothly and to have a real ending. The book ended with too many cliffhangers, and without any answers for any of the characters. There is not any type closure; I was left looking for the final chapter. I think I would have enjoyed the stories more as three separate books, rather than one, each with an ending.

Thank you for reading my review. I received an ARC copy of the book for my honest opinion.

What a great cast of characters! I loved that Kara flipped back and forth between present and past and in between stories as well.

Cole and Jack are twins who have always been fun loving guys who were not even close to settling down. I love how they both meet woman at around the same time and start to feel the same things toward them. May as well, they're twins, right?

I loved the struggle of the sisters and knowing that Tania was doing whatever she could to help Oksana escape the situation she was in.

The whole 2 different passengers on the same cruise who are depraved sex traffickers was a little far-fetched but its fiction so I guess I can let it slide. ;)

I enjoyed learning about the different roles of the ship crew and would love to see more of this in future books. Makes me wonder if those awesome parties really take place in the middle of the night when the passengers are sleeping!

I am looking forward to reading additional books in this series as well as anything else by this author. Nicely done!!

The captains of this cruise ship are twins. Twins who are gorgeous and know how to make their passengers remember their time on their ship. Both captains are reaching a point in their careers, they want more, more than what they have now. Being the sexy captains isn't enough anymore.

Two woman, sisters, are aboard this cruise, but they didn't come here together. One is here to help her sister after receiving a chilling phone call.

This was an intriguing read, but also a little cheesy. I enjoyed the back and forth banter between the twins, but found the real story of love, loyalty, secrets, lies and family out weighed anything else.
