According to a 2013 Gallup poll, the vast majority of the American people don't believe the government's Warren Report about the assassination of president John F. Kennedy. But there are so many theories about the assassination that it’s difficult to make sense of it all — or even know where to start. Who has the time to delve into the controversy and figure it out? And what difference does it make anyway? If that describes the way you feel about the Kennedy assassination, then this book is for you. It is a primer for understanding the assassination of John Kennedy, and it provides the only paradigm in which all the pieces of the puzzle of the Kennedy assassination fall into place and make sense. The thesis of this book is a simple On November 22, 1963, the U.S. national-security establishment violently removed John Kennedy from the presidency through assassination. This particular regime-change operation occurred within the context of other regime-change operations conducted by the U.S. national-security state during the Cold War, such as those in Iran in 1953, Guatemala in 1954, Cuba in the 1960s, and Chile in 1973. What was the reason for the Kennedy regime-change operation? The reason was the same as it was for all the other Cold War regime-change “national security.”
Available through Amazon for the ridiculous price of just £1.99p, downloaded onto my Kindle reader and read in a matter of hours. Appendix B contains hours of internet links to videos and articles that I have yet to explore. The first of these 111 entries of Appendix B is 'Altered History:Exposing deceit and deception in the JFK assassination medical evidence'; a five part presentation by Douglas P. Horne. Part One alone lasts for almost two hours! 'Regime Change:The JFK Assassination' is a fabulous treasure trove, with contributions from Peter Dale Scott, James Di Eugenio, David Talbot, David Mantik, Jefferson Morley, Vince Salandria, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., James W. Douglass, as well as Horne and Hornberger. If I need to repeat...all this for £1.99. Jacob Hornberger's thesis is pure elixir. A native of Texas, Hornberger writes throughout with a concise and direct style. In fact I felt that the author was addressing me directly. Whatever the level of knowledge or understanding the reader possesses of the JFK assassination, a Warren advocate of Oswald's guilt, as a lone nut or as part of a wider left wing conspiracy, or if you already believe in some conspiracy theory this book declares for Oswald's innocence and exposes the forces that used him as a patsy. Or, like myself, a firm believer of a coup d'état. Whatever your interest or conviction this book will slap you around the head, shake you back to consciousness and accurately point you in the direction of truth and reality. If you also believe that it was so long ago and what does it matter anyway, then 'Regime Change' will frighten you. The National Security Establishment is today much bigger and more powerful than it was in 1963 when it removed the Chief Executive. If you believe that was then and this is now, or Donald Trump will put the American hat on straight, then disregard this review....you're too far gone! Even though the book can be read in a few hours, with the content in Appendix B and the cost of this Kindle download, I had to give this five stars and strongly recommend to anyone with the e reader.
I have read a number of books on the JFK assassination and I found this short book t encompass most of what the other books said. There are a lot of details not here, but one can save a lot of time just reading this one. It captured the highlights of the assassination and the subsequent coverup. His focus on the national security state does make one pause.
Whether you are a novice JFK assassination reader/researcher or one who has been reading and researching for a very long time (for myself, since I was in the 7th grade in 1976), or just an interested American citizen, this book is very worthwhile. If you've very familiar with the "facts" of the JFK assassination, there is some you can skip over but very little. The book is just about 120 pages (maybe a little less) and you can easily read it in a few hours. While there are various theories from the official theory (Lee Harvey Oswald did it acting alone) or the second official theory (Oswald did it but there was a second shooter so likely a conspiracy) or any of the myriad of conspiracy theories (from the Mafia to the CIA to the FBI to Lyndon Johnson to Richard Nixon, et al), this is one of the only books which puts it all together into one cogent story which makes sense from all angles. There really isn't a lot of new information here which hasn't been disclosed in other books. And there is zero discussion of the "how" of the assassination (how many shots were fired, from where, and by who). But it cogently paints a believable picture which answers all of the important questions: who was responsible for JFK dying and why did he need to be kills. I've written a book myself (patented but unpublished) on my theory of the Kennedy assassination, and let's just say this book falls in line with many of my conclusions as to who and why JFK was killed.
This is a concise overview that, in a narrative manner, touches all the bases and presents cogent arguments to make its' points about the JFK assassination as a government initiated regime change. I have read upwards of fifty or more "Day in Dallas" books and I believe I have acquired a substantial and in depth appreciation of the circumstances and reasons for the assassination. This book assumes a reader's sophistication and general familiarity with the events leading p to 11/22/63, as well as the aftermath that extends to the present time and will continue to haunt future studies. Thus, it presents a point by point, event by event, circumstance by circumstance chronicle of the assassination. To undertake the the book without a well read background on 11/22 matters would convince the reader that book is just a compendium of conclusions on the author's part. That is precisely what it is, but if you are well read and familiar from collateral reading, the book is a pretty consummate consolidation of the facts. No slight is intended, but it is a serious "Cliff's Notes" on the assassination -- you cannot escape the conclusions if you are well read enough to recognize the facts which led to the author's assertions. Put the book in the must read column.
The author in clear, concise and without pointing to conspiracy laden rabbit holes, points out the true direction and intentions of our national security state from the end of World War 2 up to present history. Yes it is a primer related to the JFK assassination, but the author says a lot without going into pet theories. This was an excellent book for anyone who is interested into the motives for the U.S regime change on November 22nd 1963. Clearly and concisely written book.
A very well written, well researched book, which provides a convincing case that JFK was removed by the military and CIA. It truly amazes me that some Americans continue to believe the theory that JFK was killed by a "lone nut." But, it just goes to show that you can not wake up someone who is only pretending to be asleep.
There are now a ton of 100-page Kennedy books, largely saying the same thing without the inconvenience of linking to evidence and footnotes. And this one is no different (an unreferenced appendix of 100+ links - some which are just book reviews - does not count). But this stands out because it makes many (although not all are successful) very convincing appeals to common sense and logic. It does more than enough to argue that the Warren case fails the sniff test.
I may come back to it, but it was not engaging. The prose is cumbersome, and I wasn't impressed withe editing or proofing. I set it aside after two chapters.
I have spoken to Jacob Hornberger on the phone several times, and I regularly read his blog on the Future of Freedom Foundation website (fff.org). He is very smart and articulate, and not given to making wild claims and accusations. Therefore, I know that he has carefully researched all the information in this book. That's why I may have nightmares for a while. He calls the government the national-security state, and talks about it being beyond the control of the president and Congress, let alone the Supreme Court. This is enough to scare anyone, and makes me wonder what's going to happen next. If we can't trust our government, who can we trust?
A quick (<100 pages) look at JFK’s ever questionable assassination and all its anomalies from Oswald never being touched prior to the shooting to numerous discrepancies across testimonies and physical evidence (photographs). The author also lays out background information on the national-security state’s contemporary regime change operations that are now well known. Books like this are important, not for their conclusions, but for their ability to push people to think more critically about the endless lies.
