At first I think this is more bored than Before Sunrise but I was wrong. The way they took me lost in the beauty of the French city in the evening sunset .. this time I feel the film is lighter with a conversation that is easier to understand than the previous one, without even losing the intimacy of the two of them. The vibes is warm, sweet as chamomile tea with honey. A long-short story about an old love that blooms again after going through many difficulties. At least, you should know their romance by watching it even once in a lifetime. And yes, Celine's voice is so beautiful and I can't stop talking about it .. This movie made me fall in love with France even more.
I am head of heels for these two! So romantic, gorgeous and again shining the charm of a simple conversation but this time with deeper feelings and the complications of life/their time away from one another
I don't have anything to say that hasn't been said before about these films and the scripts. some of the best dialogue I've ever read or seen in films, feels so real and raw. they both suck at communicating but at the same time are so good at it. the last scene always makes me cry because you feel like you're witnessing the start of their relationship.
A walk/talk through the streets of Paris. When I think of it, it just wasn't meant to happen that time after six months of when they first met in Vienna . They were meant to meet in Paris after almost a decade and just like that to re-connect again. I like the sense of possibility at the end it's like what Jess talked about the ending of 'This Time', how you vision the after ending depends on how you are in genral. I've always been fascinated by the idea of meeting after a long separation and to be able to measure how much really changed and see wether the connection is still there. Brilliant screenplay I'd say!
Words can't describe how much I adore this film and script! The dialogue is as natural as ever, and the tension between Jesse and Celine is as fresh as June of '94, their first encounter. This film is the best in The Before trilogy, as well as it is my personal favorite film... A saying by Celine that has stuck with me, it goes: "Memory is a beautiful thing if you don't have to deal with the past."...
And don't get me started on the ending!
CELINE Yo baby, you are gonna miss that plane. JESSE I know.
I'm melting!!! <3 __________ Some excerpts: CELINE I feel like I was never able to really forget anyone I've been with... and you can never replace anyone, what is lost is lost. ___ CELINE Maybe we are only goof at brief encounters walking around in European cities in a warm climate. ___ JESSE I have to tell you I put the whole idea of romantic love to bed when you weren't there that day. ___ She moves over to Jesse and gives him a big, long hug.
CELINE I'm seeing if you are going to dissolve into molecules or if you stay together.
Jesse is almost shaking. __________ I'm melting, again.
