The best thing about this book is that it's very short.
It's like a summery on a confidence-boost course.
Has a few tips that can come useful if one is working on their confidence issues. Yet there is nothing new, very general, very common ideas.

Un excelente libro que va directo a lo que quiere. Son 5 capítulos con contenido preciso, aplicable, acesible. Lleva al lector a la realidad de lo que quiere alcanzar. No promete nada. Sólo explica y da las señales para actuar, da el camino para entender que todo sucede en la medida en que actuamos con determinación para alcanzar lo que queremos manifestar. La confianza no llega, se trabaja, se aplica, fallo y error y se sigue trabajando siempre.

This was a good book about building confidence through self-efficacy and self-esteem. He provides good step-by-step tips on how to build your self-efficacy. I enjoyed many of his ideas, which were clearly explained and outlined. Also, I learned some good information about HOSHIN (learning with a beginner's mind), cognitive reframing, rejection therapy, approaches to mastery, and using Xmind mind mapping software. Good information!

Very Inspiring!

This book covers the basics of self-efficacy. You can tell that Martin truly believes what he is saying in this book and it really kept be engaged. I am motivated to build up my own self-efficacy and be successful. Although reading this book alone won't do that. Just like Martin says, we have to be the one that takes the action, just reading this book alone won't do that. I reccomend this book to anyone that is willing to work hard to change themselves and become successful.

I like the style of writing which makes for an easy read and I find its always worth the read and this book Confidence: How to overcome your limiting beliefs and achieve your goals is not an exception.

Well worth the read.

Confidence: How to Overcome Your Limiting Beliefs and Achieve Your Goals
by Martin Meadows

Confidence is a state of being clear-headed either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Confidence comes from a Latin word 'fidere' which means "to trust"; therefore, having self-confidence is having trust in one's self.

The book which I will suggest to you folks today is an exceptionally captivating and extremely fascinating book the substance of this book will make you fall head over heels for this book.

Confidence: How to Overcome Your Limiting Beliefs and Achieve Your Goals by Martin Meadows is book where author give answers of some questions, that are Uncertain of Yourself? Figure out How to Develop More Confidence in Your Abilities and Achieve Your Goals. The greater part of us have no issues distinguishing objectives we need to achieve. Setting these strategies in motion is troublesome. Once in a while we need discipline or inspiration. Notwithstanding, there's one more motivation behind why you could battle to make changes in your day to day existence - you have low self-adequacy. What is self-viability? What are its vitally four wellsprings? How might you foster more trust in your capacities? These are a portion of the inquiries the writer responded to in this short book. The guidance you're going to peruse is put together both with respect to logical examination and his own insight. he likewise shares principal information that will assist you with building more trust in your capacities and arrive at your objectives.

This book covers the essentials of self-adequacy. You can let that Martin genuinely accepts know he saying in this book and it truly kept be locked in. I'm inspired to develop my self-viability and find lasting success. Even though perusing this book alone will not do that. Very much like Martin says, we must be the one that makes the move, simply perusing this book alone will not do that. I recommend this book to anybody that will make a solid effort to change themselves and become effective.

Overall, THIS IS A MUST-READ. Written cautiously, this book is something that will be a joy to peruse and I prescribe you to peruse it. This book is certainly worth the buy and worth the read.

Some of the self-help advice was a tad hard to follow logically For e.g. he seems to suggest that you should break down goals into achievable tasks but in the same breath (literally), he admonishes the reader to focus on the big picture because, well... the little stuff doesn't matter. Challenging logic since breaking down those goals into bite-size achievable tasks is worrying about minutiae.

That said, the general thrust of the book is in a direction that will leave you with a few timely reminders of what steps can lead to confidence in your abilities. I say timely reminders because, as with most self-help books, its really re-packaging nuggets of common sense that many of us already knew. Few would say that there is anything new in the author's advice to start building confidence by doing a few small things well and that this will serve as the foundation for developing the confidence to do larger tasks well.

Martin Meadows has mastered writing the book for people with short attention spans. He culls all the fluff and build-up moments and goes directly to the core points he wants to develop. I would say his book almost reads like an extended Reddit deep-dive post than a traditional book.

The book does not deserve placement in the self-help canon, if there ever was one. It does the trick though. I give it all of 2 stars

I chose this book for two reasons, 2.5 may be a better answer.
I took on a book challenge. I keep telling myself not to take on a book challenge because even though I end up enjoying some of the books, the process of finding the "right" book to fulfil the challenge because exasperating, annoying, frustrating.

But I did. And this filled the "one subject topic" and was short (the .5 of the above).
And, I do lack confidence, as anyone in my family will tell you.

I can do this book, no problem. Fast reader.

Wait, you rated it 5 stars! This is such a negative review so far.

Challenges can be good, and this book was excellent. In the middle of reading I started to exercise, because, yeah, that hasn't been good lately.

I am keeping this book, want more of his advice, it is good, and will reread again. Just to keep on track of what I want to do.

Which is become the best me.

Anyway Martin Meadows, thank you.

With a focus on the difference between self efficacy and self esteem and how that matters to your goals, and to you.

If you don’t believe in your abilities, you aren’t likely to set big goals that have the highest chance of making a dramatic improvement in your life. Since you also doubt in your ability to achieve success, you won’t do your best (why invest effort in something that’s not going to work out, anyway?). (p. 11).

And for me, empty praise and insane goals just don’t work anyway.

It’s a vicious cycle – you don’t plan your tasks because you think they’re hard, and these tasks are hard exactly because you don’t plan them. (pp. 52-53).

Laughs nervously.

To the point - best way to describe this book
The right and sufficient receipe. Any reader cannot feel this book is overloaded with lot of information.
Below is the learning :
1. Author focused more on Self-efficacy.
2. It's an important competency, which should be considered in appraisal and interview.
3. 5 rules are given clearly to describe the how to develop self-efficacy.
4. All 5 rules has limited and justified examples, which in all cases are real time
5. I was introduced to new things
a. SHOSHIN - Learn as beginners mind
b. Cognitive reframing- Reframe your negative into positive thoughts
c. Galatea effect
Enjoyed reading and happy for learning

It said what It wanted to say, and did what it wanted to do. It taught me a lesson about being humble. Since I've become a Stoic, I don't have that "Beginner Mind" and that is why I think I know everything about Stoicism, if there's a video that has something to say about diminishing ego, or something else, I just say in my mind "Oh, I already know that". But now I know that I will take a beginner's mind again because I don't want my ego to bring me down. Just to say, it wasn't only talking about the "Beginner Mind" it was also talking about other stuff but that's what hit me the most.

Self-efficacy is am important factor of our lives, yet we can feel it but few of us can manage to do something about in order to increas it. I personally like this book because of its short volume and "to the point" approach . But the most important job for readers is to immediately start taking action to build up your positive beliefs about your abilities. Otherwise , you would waste your time reading this.

I learned a lot from this book, especially about self-efficacy. My favorite chapter of the book was about the rejection therapy. Never really thought a rejection was a good thing, but the logic of this book helped me to understand better.

The book is suitable for everyone, especially the one who has a goal, but has no confidence to achieve it. The book is going to tell you how to believe in your own ability to achieve your goals.

Basic steps to follow to increase your self confidence.
The book focuses on what you should start doing to increase your self-confidence. The. oat important one is to start small with little steps to easily walk outside your comfort zone or you can oush forward to the edge of impossible or what Martin valls the panic zone.
This book can be as an introduction on how you can start buliding your self-efficacy and self-confidence and it's one of the most concise book in the area.

The book was about stretching ones comfort zone, which is of course a way to acquire new beliefs about oneself etc. But it was mostly a repetition of, you have to break down your goals to small pieces so they become more achievable. I don't feel like it was THAT much about acquiring new beliefs and creating a sort of identity shift.
Meh.
I think the only reason why it has so many positive reviews is because of the short format.

Quite easy to understand the concept that was suggested
It has a summary or sort of recap after every chapter
Therefore it's quite friendly for those who can't remember too much info
The book is overall quite a thin one which doesn't take long time to read
And the suggestions are also quite applicable

Self efficacy vs self esteem

This book is mainly based on self efficacy and self esteem. although self efficacy is talked about in larger lengths. No the whole book is based on self efficacy.
Self efficacy is your ability deal with a problem. You can grow or atleast can understand the fundamentals of it through this book.

Though it wasn't life changing and all the information is not new to me. It was nice to read it to remind me of basic concepts and ideas. The book itself was short and i finished it in 30 minutes. The writing super easy to follow AND HEY i feel like working out now which initially i really didn't want to do it because i felt lazy.

Building confidence

While this book is by no means a complete guide to overcoming your self-doubt and building confidence, it is certainly a great start as he touches on all the major things needed to start building your confidence and eliminating self-doubt. Plus it can be read in a hour or two so that you can start implementing the techniques immediately.

A self-help book that I could actually get into and stand behind. Gives it to readers straight up and makes no promises to solve all the problems in the world. Focus on self-efficacy instead of self-esteem or self-confidence for a change.
