Years earlier, teenage girls began to vanish off the streets of Seattle. Now, they're turning up dead, their mutilated bodies left in prominent locations around the city. Will the hunter be able to stop a psychotic and cruel killer in time to save other victims from the same disturbing fate?

I thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series. It was interesting to see how Skye Cree's and her husband, Josh's, relationship grew with each book. It was so different from how they started out in the first book and great to see the progression through each book. You know, just like in real life. In this book, as in the previous books, I was always on the edge of my seat. All the villains were really despicable creatures, so you were always rooting for Skye and Josh (and poor Harry). As I mentioned before, I loved the Native American spiritual aspect of these books. And, there were so many memorable secondary characters introduced as the series went along. Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping series and highly recommend it. I only hope this is not the last we see of Skye, Josh (poor Harry) and the Artemus Foundation. Skye and Josh make a great pair!
SKYE REALLY TICKED ME OFF IN THIS ONE, SHE WAS SO NEGATIVE TOWARDS JOSH’S INPUT TO THE CASE. I WAS WORRIED THIS ONE WOULDN’T TURN OUT RIGHT (which would have devastated me). THIS WAS GORY AND GRUESOME . . . I LOVED THAT, I KNEW THE KILLER MUST BE TOTALLY CRAZY TO WANT --------- & ------- REALLY? WAH-WAH-WAH! I LOVE THIS AUTHOR AND THIS SERIES, THE ENDING WAS JUST WHAT I’D HOPED FOR. ;D
What I like best about this series is that the central character is a strong, focused, motivated, kickass woman who takes no guff from anyone. But I also love that as the series progresses, she is being tempered by Josh and the love they have for each other. I'm glad she has been able to heal from her own ordeal, and I'm glad she still has a parent to turn to. I'm looking forward to what happens in the next book...Travis and Lena, a new baby, Harry's retirement, plus all the others who work for the Artemis Foundation.
Skye and Josh and the Artemis Foundation are on the hunt for another serial killer that targets young girls from ages 13 to 20 He thinks Skye is beneath him, so he sets his sights on Josh and his spirit animal. This killer is good and it will take the resources of everyone combined to find him. Full of twists and turns, locations that are to die for-no pun intended, this book will keep you on your toes.
This series is ridiculously good. The murders are heartbreaking, no age group is spared though can we stop killing all the women?? Skye and Josh are adapting to married life, Skye is adapting to the revelation that Travis is her bio father and building that relationship with him, so having a killer targeting people close to her puts extra strain on her relationships. This killer is 3 sheets to the wind and is closer than they think.
I'm going to sound like a broken record but this is the 4th book of the Skye Cree series I have read. She is amazing. All so far hold my interest. This serial killer was really sick. Part of his life I felt sorry for him but not what he/they did to his victims. Looking forward to 5th book. Keep it up, Ms. McKeehan.
my favorite so far! I love the way she pulls you in with her characters. I feel like I know them all so well. Then throw in the thriller and you have a complete story. I can't wait to read more and see where the relationships take us!
Each and every story brings Skye and others to life. As you read this story the twists and turns keep you on your toes right up to the end. It also brings light to the very real problem of sex trafficking and the opportunities we can find locally to be supportive in the efforts to find and bring the victims home
Skye Cree is such a strong lead character with many friends who are willing to help find those that are missing. I have loved every book in this series!
Vickie is an amazing writer. She has brought horror and intrigue together with a pinch of comedy as well as a smidge of surprise for an entertaining read.
This one took so many turns I had NO idea where it was heading but I was so hoping that Skye would get pregnant😍 I’m so sad that I’m almost done reading all Vickie’s books
This is the last book in the Skye Cree series. This has been a very thrilling series. This is a can't put down series . I highly recommend this series.
The story woven in this book was as compelling, intriguing, suspenseful and captivating as most any other book I've read recently! From the first pages I was thoroughly "into" this book. As I've said before, "Ms. McKeehan knows how to . . . characterise evil." And indeed she does it again in this story and extremely well.
I have always enjoyed the incorporation of Native legends into these books. As well as how they are respected by the Native characters in the story.
Another aspect of these novels I really like is that part of the story is about the numerous people willing to donate time and money to support the foundation created as a direct result of the main character's life and her activities since she was an abducted child. Skye Cree is all about finding children abducted by the serial killers roaming the northwest and later expanding that profile to include others. I hope it will motivate readers to get involved in any way they can with the same goal.
I could not put this book down, and like the others in the series, I read it straight through. I think the most important aspect of this book and the three before it, is the strength seen in the character, Skye Cree. The author did not make these books about a girl living through tragedies, instead it focused on what she did after the tragedies in her life. The focus was on what she did with her knowledge gained from what happened to her to help others survive and thrive. I'll keep coming back to that kind of storyline again and again!
Skye Cree is one of my favorite characters, she gives such a real feel to the Indian heritage portrayed in the stories .Having been kidnapped herself when she was a young child Skye has been a strong advocate. Of fighting this criminal activity. With the help of her spirit guide , husband and pet dog , she walks the streets after dark seeking a young victim of a local kidnapping and successfully finds the girl. Before anyone can celebrate she is advised that another girl has gone missing. The searches continue. This time the police have, unbelievably , been left clues to the identity of the kidnapper , by the kidnapper himself. This does NOT make the job of finding him easier though. Skye is facing one of the most evil and brilliant criminal she has yet to encounter. This FAST paced THRILLING, MYSTERY is one you won't be able to set aside. A GREAT BOOK I HAPPILY RECOMMEND.
I enjoyed spending 2 days with old friends while they made Seattle safe from another crazoid! still great chacterization staying true through all four books. I love the Native American Heritage in all three (my spirit guide is the hawk btw). another thing I enjoyed was no hat tricks inside or at the end of the mystery. bugs when the solution is something or someone who had never been introduced into the main book idea. A solid story line. Enjoyed the ending as well.
This series is great! It has suspense, romance, and mysticism. The writing is smart and clean. I found humor in the dialogue. The characters are well developed and easy to like. The storyline follows Skye Cree, her husband, and the cast of friends and helpers she has united to help the police solve missing person cases. Skye uses her resources including her Native spirit guide to investigate and bring answers to cases that may have fallen through the cracks of the system
As always, this series came through with a creepy villain. He was probably the creepiest yet. I enjoy how the relationship between Josh and Skye continues to grow and evolve. Their circle of friends and influence is ever widening, and their success continues. So much happens in this story. Josh is attacked, Kiya disappears, Skye receives gifts from the killer, and some wonderful unexpected news makes the ending perfect. I loved it.
