Had to read for school, I did enjoy the case studies, but parts of it felt very wordy.

This is the best school counseling law and ethics book I have read! It provides great examples, specific court cases, and tells you where you can find more information for your state. There are a few topics I wish it had covered and a few places where I wish the author would provide more information. However, it is, hands down, the best book I have read on the topic. All school counselors should read this book!

As a current grad school candidate for school counseling this book was extremely helpful in learning laws and ethics in the field.

The book was detailed by giving case studies and making connections from the readings. I plan on keeping this book handy for the times I may need it.

I love how this book book broke down the ASCA Ethical Standards to show when exactly to use them. It was also great to read through the scenarios and see exactly what should have been done and should be done. The language of this book is also very easy to read, it's not theoretical.
