Four sisters wielding the power of the elements. Four men who have vowed to protect them. One mother’s quest to destroy them. Experience the power of love in season.
The Prophecy (Spring):
Escaping from her mother, Gaia, Creator of All, was only the beginning for Aria Spring. Staying hidden will require protection from the one man she doesn’t trust to save anyone but himself. Responsible for breathing new life into the dormant world, Aria is determined to save it, and her elementals sisters from her mother’s vow of destruction.
Disbelieving the tall tales his father and grandfather told when he was a child, Eiden refuses to acknowledge his family’s legacy as Protector of the Spring. The draw to Aria, however, is too great for him to resist, and he finds himself unable to stay away from her. When he sees her powers in action with his own eyes, he can no longer deny the fierce need to protect her – even if it costs him his life.
Bayou Bleue (Summer):
Été Munson is the fiery daughter of Gaia, the Creator of All, and the reason why the season of summer exists. But when Gaia decides the Earth is too ominous to keep, her plan sends Été into hiding in the mystical town of Bayou Bleue, Louisiana. Enter Bear Glenn. A mysterious voyager who has come from Scotland to find Été before Gaia does. As she brings Bear into the Heart of the Swamp, a land filled with Bayou Trolls, Silent People, and the legendary Rougarou, their Fate will be tested, along with their will to survive.
Connected Souls (Fall):
Autumn Munson lives a simple life. As simple as a goddess in hiding can, that is. One of the four Elemental daughters of Gaia, Mother of All, she’s the very embodiment of the fall season. But when Mommy Dearest gets the crazy idea that the Earth must go, Autumn and her sisters scatter into hiding in a last ditch effort to save the world. William Varian is an ancient soul. An immortal shifter who has been watching over Autumn for longer than she realizes. He holds the secrets to a past that she’s long forgotten - one where they meant everything to each other. But as he fights to keep Autumn safe, will they allow Gaia to use their centuries-old connection to destroy them, or will it prove to be a bond that not even the Mother of All can break?
Cold Awakenings (Winter):
Wynter Munson doesn't belong in Los Angeles, but what better place to hide a Winter goddess. All that sun won't melt her frozen heart, though, after the betrayal and loss of her cheating husband. It's her darkness that Morpheus is drawn to. He finds the girl of his dreams inside hers. But when the Mother of All threatens Wynter's son, he must convince her that love not only destroys lives. It can save them too.

“I will carry out my plan, Ambr, and you will assist me. I need my daughters—all four Elementals—here. Together. We both know the only way to destroy the earth is to eliminate each season.”
Schwartz Synopsis Four sisters have the weight of the world on their shoulders as they run and hide from Mother Earth’s wrath. Their mother, Gaia, is unhappy with the state of the world. The humans, that is we, have destroyed her beautiful creation and she seeks her daughters out to bring them together and destroy them. If she succeeds, our earth, our home, will die with the Elementals. However, each of the Elementals have a man at their side protecting them from harm and willing to lay down their lives for the safety of their Elemental, and therefore, the world. Will Gaia succeed in taking down her powerful daughters and their protectors? Or will the seasons prevail and earth continue its circle of life?
“Technically, the Fates chose you, and Luna whispered it to me, but yes, you are the chosen one.” I drag the last words out, giving them dramatic flare. “Fates, Luna, moon, stars—I don’t care. I just want you where I can see you.” He drops his head so our eyes meet.
Schwartz Thoughts After reading the prologue, the book captured my attention right out of the gate. I found it interesting that the book began with the sisters splitting up and them fleeing for their safety. A side note, I absolutely loved their names. This book is broken up into four parts. A part for each Elemental… and their manly man. Seeing that four different authors wrote it, I have assumed that each author wrote one part of the novel. Therefore, there were different writing styles for each part. I absolutely adored a few of the authors writing styles, and some left me wanting more. Some moments were extremely predictable, others shocked me. I found that the romantic elements were well written in most parts of the novel. The writing was very imaginative and held my attention throughout the book. I did find it odd at parts how fast the romance in the book progressed. It felt as if on page one they were repelled by one another and by page three they were magnets falling for each other’s embrace. It moved quite fast. I guess when you find your soulmate you just know? The description in the novel was well written. It was not overdone and it left just enough for the reader to imagine the world around them perfectly. I found that after reading the first two parts, however, that the story became overly predictable. The Elemental was going to fall for their protector, they would face off against Gaia, and the season would prevail. That being said, I absolutely loved how the authors tied it all together in the end. It was well written right up to the last word. This story was unique; however, I did find some errors within the pages. Some wrong words written, some typos, and some formatting issues. Do not let that ruin your reading choice, though, this book is worth the read.
Send a good-looking one and suddenly your troll-in-waiting is a horny troll-on-the-loose. Recommendation I would recommend this read to any fantasy readers. Any fantasy readers who enjoy paranormal aspects mixed in with some steamy romance. This is such a great book that I am sure it will not disappoint.
The four daughters of Gaia, Mother of All. Mother Nature. God. She has many names. And we are her Elementals. The beings tasked with the changing of the seasons and the ruling of the earth’s elements—air, fire earth, water. We keep the earth moving forward as one season gives way to another.
Gaia is the Mother of All; she is Mother Nature. In the beginning, when the Earth was new,Gaia created four daughters known as Elementals. Each Elemental controlled a season: Aria (Spring), Ete (Summer), Autumn, and Wynter. Gaia delivers her daughters to the Munson family who have tasked with protecting the Elementals at all cost. Each century the Elementals die and are reborn to start life anew. With each rebirth the Munson's are tasked with ensuring a Protector is never far in case the girls need to run. But run from what? As humankind has evolved, they have polluted the air, water, and soil poisoning the Earth. At least that is what Gaia thinks. She believes the time has come to destroy the Earth and start new. Her plan starts with the murder of the seasons....her own daughters. As the Munson's learn of the plan, the girls are separated and sent to live with their Protectors who are tasked with keeping the girls from Gaia. Each Elemental has a story to tell....this is their story.
When I started reading the book I didn't realized it was the story for all four Elementals. Each story is short but packs a punch. I loved reading how Aria found her forever love. How Ete found her love and the man who could control her fire. Autumn realizing William is more than a Protector and has been with longer than she knows. And Wynter who finds someone to bring her from the brink of despair. The story's are well written and you can't help but get emotionally involved in each story.
What can I say about this awesome compilation written by some of my favorite authors :o ... Not just some, but 4 of my favorites all in one place! ... Each amazingly talented Indie author has her own style, but they have merged together seamlessly to give us another page turning must read, serial novel!! Run don’t walk to get yours right away :) ... Even tho I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review & I loved it so much, that I bought one to gift a friend :D
Gaia, Mother Nature, has plans to obliterate planet Earth. She is angry about how disrespectfully humans are destroying her magnificent creation. She calls the guardian of her four daughters, one responsible for keeping each season functioning properly. The Munson's refuse to turn over the girls so Gaia curses them all. She curses her daughters to suffer, physically and emotionally and to live in fear. The only way for the girls and the planet to remain safe is to separate, hide in different directions. Each daughter is assigned a protector. Eiden is called to protect Aria, goddess of Spring. The challenge is that he does not believe in supernatural powers. Ete, the Summer goddess, is cursed with panic attacks and mood swings. Her story is about finding balance. William has been Autumn's protector lifetime after lifetime. Her memories disappear with each rebirth but being immortal, a shifter, his do not. After attacks on two sisters they know it is only a matter of time before Gaia shows herself. Once Autumn begins having memory flashes, William confesses they have another type of connection. This story examines variations on love and how it can be both a curse and a blessing. Continuing to suffer from depression, the isolation from her sisters takes an extreme toll on Wynter. She has a child and supports him by knitting and being a Reiki Master. Her child is her weakness, as it had been for one of her sisters. Pushed to breaking, Wynter lashes out. Unwilling to live with their mother's cruelty any longer, the sisters and their protectors decide desperate measures are required.
With each chapter the desperation escalates. Each author adds her unique take on the beings and their situation. You know there can not be a peaceful solution.
I received this book from DRC Promotions in return for a fair and honest review.
The prologue of this book gives you a quick run-down of what to expect. Gaia has turned into a fruitloop and wants to destroy the earth and all those who live on it, along with her daughters, the Seasons. Now, she can't destroy it without killing her daughters first so we're all okay for a while. They have to make a run for it and split up, not knowing when they will see each other again.
Now, onto the nitty-gritty. This book is one story, split into 4 different parts and written by 4 different authors. I can only imagine the headache that went into this to ensure that the characters remained the same (ish) no matter who was telling the tale. It was exceedingly well written and each story managed to be a complete tale within the bigger picture.
I loved how the male for each daughter was different and how that part of the story was individual for each one. You get Protectors, Shapeshifters, Trolls, the Rougarou, it's all here. What I didn't much like was the similarity between Gaia and her daughters. It quickly became apparent that she would turn up and try to kill someone. I think the only thing that really changed was her outfit!
I will say that during the stories, I actually found myself agreeing with Gaia and Autumn and their sentiments. Of course, I quickly changed my mind about admitting that when Gaia was described as have the "maniacal laugh of a megalomaniac".
Saying that though, the whole story wrapped up nicely at the end, concluding the story for now but also leaving it open for a second book. I would definitely recommend this to any Paranormal Romance/Fantasy fans out there.
A Fantastic Anthology! This is an anthology written by 4 awesome indie authors. The stories are about the four daughters of Mother Nature. Each daughter is a season, spring, summer, winter, and fall. Their mother decides that the human race has decimated the earth and therefore decides to destroy the earth. The only way for her to do this is to end the seasons, kill her daughters. The daughters split up, each with her own protector, men willing to die if necessary to keep their elemental safe. There was so much going on in this anthology, I absolutely loved how even though each author has her own writing style they blended in so well together. I loved the romantic aspects of it, and the parts where I was sure I knew what was coming and then twist! Not what I thought at all. I can't say enough about how much I loved this book. I will definitely be recommending it! I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Elementals was a wonderfully unique reading experience. It is written by 4 fantastic authors and each of their styles comes through while reading this anthology.
Elementals is the story of 4 supernatural sisters who are being hunted by their mother of all people and the 4 men who's lives are dedicated to protecting the sisters. Each story is unique and fascinating, each character is as different as the seasons they represent.
I can't say enough good things about this Anthology, if you are looking for something totally different to read - here it is!
Gaia, "Mother Nature", is upset with the state of the world and threatening to end it all. Her daughters, each with their own reasons to see another day, must fight their mother in a battle to save the world. Will they each be able to outwit her? This novel was well written and unique. The characters were realistic and likable. These 4 talented authors did an amazing job weaving this story together!
This is a Paranormal Fantasy Romance Anthology. It features 4 different Authors telling one story. I have never read a book written in this manner. I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised.
I gave this book 5 stars.
This story was told in Seasons, each author had a season and a sister. We start with The Prophecy (Spring):Sister Aria. This story was told by Author Anne L. Parks.
I loved this sister, I do believe she was my favorite. Oh, and how I loved her man, Eiden ! She was feisty and stubborn and knew what she wanted! Anne told this story very well. Kept me wanting more. I didn't want this part of the story to end. This story also told the beginning of all the things that led to why the sisters are apart.
Next was Bayou Bleue (Summer): Ete' and Bear. Author Annie Rose Welch. Annie is one of my favorite authors of all time, and i just gobbled this story up. She has such a talent for giving details and really getting into the heart of the story. Not just skimming the top and giving you shallow characters. This was no different.
This story took things that happened in the past and integrated them into the present. Things that happened had a huge impact on the way things were in the right now. Ete' was a bit more fiery then Aria. Aria was more laid back where Ete' was the in charge kind of gal. I loved her just as much as Aria, but again the two sisters are night and day in personality. One thing I love about this story is that these woman could do it all on their own. They're all strong enough to carry the weight that they have to, but they choose not to. In the end it does make them stronger being a unit. But these are some very strong, very amazing sisters.
Connected Souls (Fall): Autumn and William's story. Author Lashell Collins. I had the hardest time connecting with Autumn. This woman I wanted to ring her neck most of the time. She never listened and she did what SHE wanted to do, at first I thought she was only out for herself and how things would turn out for HER. But she isn't like that at all. Stubborn, and pig headed yes. She is set in her ways. I think this sister might be the one that has lost the most out of all of them. But she stays strong and continues to live her life. She easily became a favorite as I read her story. This story brought me the most sadness. I didn't like the way Autumn's life had played out for her.
Cold Awakenings (Winter): Wynter I was so excited to read this story. Author Dina Haynes. Wyn doesn't need a man. Although she does have one. She thinks she is weak, she thinks she can't do the things that the other sisters can do, but she couldn't be more wrong. She is one of the strongest ones. She feels the weakest and she lets that hold her back. But once she realizes she can do anything. Watch out!! She has a strong sense of protecting everyone that she loves. A strong family bond.
This story was amazing, I loved every part of it. It flowed well and had me wanting more. I am very impressed that 4 authors can come together and tell a story that was so well put together and connected the way that it did. Thank you! I am so excited to read these authors other books! They're all amazingly talented woman. Thank you for a great story.
This book has 4 stories by 4 different authors about 4 sisters and their evil mother Gaia Mother of All who happens to want them dead along with the rest of the world.
The Prophecy (Spring): by Anne L. Parks
In the first story we meet Spring or Aria as she is called and Eiden. I tried to connect with these 2 characters but I just could not do so. The story and the relationship was just to rushed and had no depth to it at all. It started out interesting and kind of promising then it just bottomed out. I could not bring myself to care about these 2 at all. And the battle between mother and daughter was lacking realism and confusing to say the least. I mean Gaia is supposed to be the creator of all which would make her pretty darn powerful yet Aria's protector's who didn't seem to have any real powers somehow keep chasing mommy dearest off by dying??? I don't get it. Maybe the author wasn't really feeling the story either when she wrote it. I give her 2 1/2 stars for trying though.
Bayou Bleue (Summer): by Annie Rose Welch
In this story we are introduced to Summer/ Été Munson and Bear. While Springs story was a little confusing this one was a total ' What? What is she talking about? ' The entire story seemed disjointed somehow. I didn't understand the whole thistle/ her people part at all. Maybe it's just me but this story just didn't do anything for me. However I did like Bear. I would give this one 1 1/2 star
Connected Souls (Fall): By Lashell Collins
In this story we find the 3rd sister Fall or Autumn Munson as she is called along with her love William. I liked the characters and could picture their world. In this story we have a ancient shifter / protector that has a past with Autumn that she no longer remembers which made the story intriguing and over all well worth reading.
I like this author previous work and the way she writes really makes you feel the characters like you are a part of them. I found this story far better then the first 2. In fact I would have give the book 4 1/2 stars over all had it just been this story alone.
Cold Awakenings (Winter): By Dina Hayes
Wynter Munson is of course Winter. This story was also good. I liked that Wynter had a dark side because lets face it winter is rather a dark time of year. You look around you and everything looks dead. Which could maybe be why snow was created as white to balance the dark. Hmmm food for thought. It's because of this darkness that Wynters love interest Morpheus is drawn to her. I really liked his character. He's what I like to refer to as flawed perfection.
Anyway this book is written by another favorite author of mine so I knew I was likely to enjoy it. I was right. It also is a far more interesting and well developed story. I would give her story a 4 1/2 star also
I was so excited when I heard Annie Rose Welch and Lashell Collins were coming together to do an anthology! Then I found out that Anne L. Parks and Dina Haynes would be joining in too and I had to preorder this way before release day. I hadn’t read anything from Anne or Dina yet (and was excited to get a chance to try their work) and I was coming off of the end of The Saving Angels and Lies Of Lunar Falls series. I needed more Annie and Lashell.
First, I adore that gorgeous cover! The tree with the changing seasons is so beautiful! Even if I didn’t know 2 of the authors already, I think I would have grabbed this for the cover alone. The blurb was the icing on the cake.
This was amazing! I can’t even tell you which one was my favorite. It’s been a bit since I read it because my computer was down and I couldn’t review right away. When I first sat down to write this review I thought Aria Spring was my favorite, then I reread the blurb and could not choose. I loved all of their stories, the men in their lives, and Wynter’s son holds a special little place in my heart. Elements was just as beautifully written as the books I have read from Annie and Lashell and now I know I love Anne and Dina’s writing also.
I was trying to guess whose part was which authors as I was reading and while I have an inkling of which parts Lashell and Annie wrote, I’m not a hundred percent positive. This was so seamlessly put together that it was hard for me to really say so and so definitely wrote this.
Amazing book! A stunning magical adventure with beautiful relationships and friendships throughout. I absolutely loved it and am so glad I ordered it when I did. It was a happy moment when I opened up my Kindle app and it was right there waiting for me. I cannot wait to see what comes next for Annie and Lashell and to read more from Anne and Dina! I am definitely hooked on all 4 of them now.
This was the first time I have read a book written by four different authors and It was a great introduction. Of course when I saw one of my favorite author was part of this anthology I knew it was rgoing to be amazing and I promise it was nothing short of that.
This book is a compilation of four sisters who are offspring of the all powerful Mother Nature, Gaia. Gaia has become hellbend on destroying the earth because in her mind humans had become ungrateful for what they have. The only way she can accomplish this is to get her four daughters all in one place. To her it seems simple enough until she realizes that each daughter has a guardian that will give up their lives to protect these women from Gaia's wrath. Is the love of these guardians enough to protect the sisters? Or will Gaia's wrath be stronger?
Gaia, Mother of all, has lost her ever loving mind. She is on the hunt for her daughters, the Seasons. She wants them together and dead. Each daughter controls an element and has the combined ability to destroy the world. Each of the four tales is told by a different author. but all tell the story of love and sacrifice and how love can color your views and just how much you'll be willing to sacrifice to keep on living. I enjoyed reading each author's take on their season, each was different but kept to the storyline. This is the second book I've read with the multi-author concept, and find that I like it as a great way for authors to collaborate as well as a good way for intros to new to me authors. Good job. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved these stories. They were not very long. All of them were so well written. I actually didn't remember that all of these stories were written by different people. They were all so good. My favorite was spring. This anthology has something for everyone. I loved reading about the seasons this way. The romance did not overpower the story. A great, easy read!
This was a powerful ride to take. I was not expecting the surprise and turns to this story. Nor was I expecting a smooth flower story from four different authors. I would recommend this to my friends.
