Esther Hicks is an American inspirational speaker and best-selling author. She has co-authored nine books with her husband Jerry Hicks, presents workshops on the Law of Attraction and appeared in the first release of the film The Secret. The Hickses' books, including the best-selling series The Law of Attraction, are — according to Esther Hicks — Channelled from a group of non-physical entities called Abraham (Hicks describes what she is doing as tapping into "infinite intelligence").
Esther Hicks was born in Coalville, Utah. She married her current husband, Jerry Hicks, in 1980 and has one daughter by her former marriage.
Esther Hicks's material was the inspiration behind "The Secret"
A friend of mine suggested I read this. I was a bit skeptical at first. Not one to read a lot of self-help works. I’m glad I took a chance.
If you’re looking for a different outlook to life, this work is for you. Despite it being over six hundred pages, it was a relatively fast read.
What I enjoyed the most is, it’s a perfect companion to the Bible. The main point the book keeps falling back to is how we are in control of ourselves. No matter how much family and friends try to help us with our daily problems and issues, until we are in tune with our inner-self, all the help in the world isn’t going to produce the results we so desperately seek out. When our attitude is right, then and only then can we offer assistance to others, but sparingly. If we become too embroiled in their problems, it will distract us from focusing on what we must achieve each day: being happy, content and prosperous.
Does this mean I believe every word in the book? Not at all. What I do believe and am beginning to see in real time, since I’ve focused on what I want and not what I don’t want, many doors have started opening.
This book changed my life forever, I had just been dumped when I found Abraham. Now I am back with the love of my life, we are looking to buy a house, I have my first paid job in 5 years, and we are trying to have a baby. Thank you Esther and Jerry for bringing Abraham to everyone.
Update things didn’t go as planned with my now ex. I still believe in Abraham.
This is actually 3 books with so much wonderful information about the real meaning of life. I feel the True Joy of being my True Self and I am excited to move forward in my life with this insightful knowledge. I know I will re-read this often. I also love this final thought: "You do not have to explain this to anyone else; and, in fact, even if you try, they may not understand your words. But it is our promise to you that, through the reading of this book, .... and through the power of the example of your joyous life experience, others may be inspired to want to know, also. ... There is great love here for you ...." ~ Abraham

A must read for anyone looking for the answers. Where have you been all my life? But I understand that nothing happens before its time. I'm so very grateful that this book found me. I've been working on myself and somehow discovered these books along the way and my life changed immensely as I discovered my true self. Can't wait to read the others.
I will read and use this book for the rest of my life - I reference it practically daily along with Base-12 Numerology. I find that in many of the books I am reading that this book is quoted over and over again. Each time I read it I find new insights.
As always, Abraham Hicks delivers VALUE with their books. It gets to a point where the content is a little repetitive, but I get why. Loved to just read a couple of pages in the morning to set my day in an aligned way and re-center myself spiritually.
An excellent book to read and re-read. Esther hicks style might not be everybody's cup of tea but even if part of it is a marketing strategy, it is still one of the best LOA books out there.
Incredibly fascinating! I didn’t read alllll the way through, but I got through a good third of it and skimmed the rest for interesting points, since it got a bit repetitive.
