A light, quick read that includes romance, suspense and travel. A princess, living undercover for years in California to avoid the criminals who threatened her and her family in their small, European country is asked to return home. As a reporter living and working under an alias in California, she interviews those who quietly serve and protect her and anonymously writes the story of her secret life. In doing so, she discovers herself.
Fans of Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries series are sure to love De Jesus' tale of royalty, romance, independence and self discovery. Not Just Another Pretty Face features an excellent sense of place and atmosphere in its descriptions of the bustle of the life of a Californian journalist, as well as plenty of drama and intrigue.
