****This is book 2 in the Marko Delacroix series. If you have not read Prey, do NOT read this book.****It was supposed to be easy—Tessa was meant to be my prey. In the end, she almost killed us both. Forever tied to a slave I don’t want, the small piece of humanity buried deep inside clings to the hope of loving her. Outside forces have other plans for our future, and Hunter is determined to make her his, but I’m ready to fight to keep what is mine. Fate, on the other hand, has its own agenda. Can I accept our bond and overpower the monster within? Will the plans being conspired take Tessa away from me? Or will my vampire prove blood is thicker than desire?Nothing is for certain, and in a world where greed and power rule, Tessa may show she has what it takes to betray us all.***WARNING***This book contains adult content, very graphic violence, disturbing situations, and very strong language. 4.5 "mindblown intensity of passion, blood and lust"

Tessa's life has changed. Drastically.
I may have still had feelings for him, but the emotions were a twinge of what they'd been before. I served him. That's all I knew at the moment. I'd be the keeper of his deepest, darkest secrets. A vessel for his lust. And the supplier of his meal.

The passion, the hunger, the lust are more hightened than ever.
The bond was complete and i knew this was as far as it went. I'd die for him. Kill for him. Give myself over freely to the worst monster he was capable of being…I would love him. And love, I did.

Marko's inner vampire is compulsively drawn to Tessa's blood, it's consuming him, devouring him just like he's devouring her. The push and pull, the love and hate, the passion and lust consume them both to the boundaries they are both reluctant to cross, cause it will change their positions forever.

And forever is a long time…to live as undead, as torn as they both are…
“I will hate you until the day I die.
And then I will hate you for an eternity after that.

I fucking…loved her, even if I didn't understand it.

Marko's change in character is like a compulsive bipolar disorder, he can't help himself…the anger changes him into a cruel monster that punishes her, breaks her

„You have no rights, slave. The sooner you get that through your thick skull, the better. Silence, manners, obedience, your blood, and your body. Those are what I want from you. Nothing more.“

than the „real“ Marko, the seductive, alluring, demanding vampire alpha comes in to mend her, to take her again claiming, marking, owning…showing her the passionate and caring side of him…
„I feel you so strongly right now. Like the way things were before you changed. I feel your love. Please don't hurt me anymore. You've won. You have me. Now love me, too, with everything you have.“

The hidden truths are revealed putting Tessa's life into another path, her future being linked with an ancestors bloodline of a vampire called „The Black Prince“. His arrival threatens Marko's bond to Tessa cause Sayer „The Black Prince“'s blood has an advantage cause of the lineage…and Sayer wants Tessa turned.
Nothing would matter to her but the hunt and the man whose blood gave her life. There was no out for me. Even un-bonded I'd still love her. The fact was etched inot my soul as if she'd carved her name right into what I was made of. I was hers, eternally, and therewas nothing me or anyone else could do about it.

And when another man enters into this twisted play – Hunter, Tessa's friend from her younghood, a man whom she secretely loved and never admitted to him or to herself, a man who is searching for her as he had witnessed her abduction by Marko, the man who won't stop in his search until he finds her again and returns her love – things turn to a total raging havoc.
He's on a mission and yet he's totally unprepared for the turmoil and war he is about to enter…
and even start.

Tessa being impaled with strong unknown vampire's impulses gathered from Marko's blood…
„I hate how much I love you.“
„No, you love how much you hate me."

the sensual calls of carnal desires known only to vampires turn Tessa from a prey and blood bound slave into the huntress…the one of the worst kind…the one that will change the roles and the outcome in the vampire hierarchy…facing against humanity.
The ultimate betrayal sends Marko into a cluster havoc…that finally ends him in a lockdown.
And I'd be there, watching, waiting…taking what was mine.

What a journey…talking about disfunctional relationship, love/lust, pain/pleasure clusterfuck of emotional twists and turns and fall downs and rise ups
Dear Lord, I have no other words than…mindblown shot of an adrenaline right through the heart.

Hypnotically marching towards the 3rd installment.

5 Stars! Wow! Things keep getting more interesting. Marko and Tessa spend a lot more time together in this one and although he's changing, getting stronger and most of the time says cruel things to her to remind her of her place, sometimes he's sweet, loving, caring and always protective. There are quite a few steamy scenes in this one. Hunter is still fighting for his best friend with hope for a future with her. There a few life changing revelations for Tessa that will leave you on edge for the next book.

Please, please Mrs. Angelini, hurry with book 3!!!!

Review for Blood Bound by Alaska Angelini

Blood Bound is a dark paranormal erotica. It is not a standalone, you will need to read Prey first. Warning: If you are squeamish about mixing blood and smut, you should probably turn away now. However, if you love your vampires dark and twisty — filled with blood lust and sexual magnetism then this series is for you and you’ll find yourself down the rabbit hole and wandering the underground.

“No, you love how much you hate me. You love this right here
whether you want to admit it or not.”

Blood Bound picks up directly where Prey leaves off. Prey ended with an unholy bang and Blood Bound instantly takes you back into the insanity. I’m not even sure if this book can be classified as a roller coaster ride, it’s so much more than that. There are moments in this book that I swear you’re thrust right into the bowels of hell with how tortured the characters are. I cried for Tessa and Marko, for the injustice. For what Marko did to Tessa. For what Tessa might do to Marko. For Hunter and the consequences of his actions.

I’d be the keeper of his deepest, darkest secrets.

Tessa. Tessa. Tessa. Her strength and stubbornness is both a blessing and a curse. The struggle between giving into her Bond and searching for the Marko she thought she knew was a dangerous game. She was brave … bordering on stupid … I have to give her character credit though, I would have rolled over like a submissive puppy and begged for mercy. She just kept pushing.

…I would not love this version of him. I couldn’t.

Marko. I just don’t even know where to begin. I thought I had a love/hate relationship with him in Prey, well, that was just multiplied in this book. I have no idea how Angelini managed it, but somehow I lost the hate and fell head over heels for Marko by the end. I didn’t think it was possible. Now, don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a healthy kind of love. I’m probably some kind of dark and twisty for thinking this man is even partially redeemable, but he won me over.

I was hers, eternally, and there was nothing me or
anyone else could do about it.

The Marko Delacroix series is proving to be one of the darkest paranormal erotica series that I have ever sunk my teeth into. I can’t seem to get enough of the depravity that Marko serves up. With all of the twists and turns in the storyline it’s hard to predict where this is all leading. And despite my guesses I found myself wrong more often than not. I love that Angelini has gone so far out of the box with this one. If you’re looking for originality, you must read this series. Five Stars and Five Drenched Panties for a book that will have you questioning your own sanity.

I was given an ARC for a honest review of the book. Blood Bound by (Marko Delacroix 2) by Alaska Angelini is the follow up book to Prey. The story picks up where Prey left off. Tessa and Marko are now bounded as slave and master. Trying to get over the events with Hunter and bonding with Tessa, Marko is still trying to deal with his two different personalities. Tessa is not happy with her arrangement but feels that the Marko she loves in still in there somewhere and she is willing to wait on him. Marko is struggling between the person who cares for Tessa and the Vampire in him that has a thirst for power and hates the fact he is bonded to Tessa. As the two struggle trying to come to terms with their relationship they both have to deal with Hunter. Hunter has not given up the quest to kill Marko and save Tessa. A new player is thrown into the mixed that can change everything. The Dark Prince wants Tessa for himself because of what the two can accomplish together. What happens at the end is enough to make you want to scream No!!!! I can’t wait to see where the author takes the story from here. I give this installment 4 ½ stars.

Book two in the Marko Delacroix Series, Blood Bound is an intense story that starts where Prey left off and continues the story of Marko and Tessa. Completely full of twists and turns, Marko and Tessa try to settle into their new lives as Master and Slave along with all the problems that come with it. There are so many layers to each character that kept me enthralled and interested. While Marko is changing while coming into his powers, he become cruel and monstrous. Tessa knows “her Marko” is still inside and clings to the hope that she can make him reappear. Some of the scenes are intense between the two. But, WOW! They sure are HOT!
I was blown away by the twists and turns within this story. There is a lot of action and a lot of sex that keeps the character of Marko likable. At times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room because I got so emotionally invested in the story….LOVE when that happens! I’m really glad that I read this book and can’t wait for more between these two characters.

I received a complimentary copy for review.

Marko is having a difficult time dealing with his PREY now bonded to him as Master and slave.

During this time Marko is going through a change becoming stronger, which in turn makes him cruel in his emotional and physical treatment towards Tessa.

For Hunter it just makes it more unbearable, to stand by and watch his lifelong friend and love fall into Marko’s clutches. Hunter is doing all that he can to keep Tessa as her true, original, beautiful, humane self. But, can he do it???!!!

We are also introduced to the Dark Prince/Sayer, whose intentions are not immediately revealed. Can he be trusted as a vampire? Is he worth the risk of finding out?

The end of Blood Bound will throw you through a tailspin and you are wondering where you will end up. So off to read Lure – Marko Delacroix #3 and see where Marko & Tessa’s story takes us. Lure (Marko Delacroix #3) by Alaska Angelini

All I can say is wow! I didn't know that things could get any more interesting, yet Alaska suprised me with where she is taking this series. She keeps adding to Tessa and Marko's story and I can't help but be consumed by where she is taking us. Please go read Prey if you haven't yet or you will be totally lost.I thought her Devlin Black series kept me on my toes emotionally, well this one takes me to a whole new level. I'm so invested in these characters I feel everything they are feeling. Once again, Alaska has proven to me that I should never be suprised when it comes to her work because I feel there just isn't anything she can't write that I will fall in love with. I would go more into the book but I just don't want to spoil it for anyone. It's a must read!

What a great second book in the Marko Delacroix series!!! Just as the first one ended the second picked up where it left off... and what a way to go!!
Knowing that Marko was coming for her she stood her ground and never waivered. Tessa was not a woman to be messed with and this book proved that. No matter what he did to her Tessa still held her own against Marko.

This book was also told from multiple POV's and just like the first it got better the farther into the story you got. Being bound to Marko wasn't what she wanted but Tessa knew the monster was coming for her and she was ready, but was Marko ready for her.

I was on the edge of my seat reading this book and couldn't wait to find out what was happening to my new favorite Human and Vampire. It was like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place I wanted to find out what was happening but I didn't want it to end either.

I received an ARC of Blood Bound for an honest review.

Blood Bound is phenomenal, action packed, with conflicted characters, an absolute page turner from beginning to end. I was sucked in from the beginning and it held my attention throughout. I feel that Blood Bound is better than the first book, Prey. There are a few turns of event that I didn't see coming and that made the reading experience more enjoyable. You are left once again hanging in the midst, uncertain about Tessa, Marko's and Hunter's future. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I'm addicted to Marko and Tessa's story. Please be sure to read Prey BEFORE Blood Bound. Wonderful erotic romance with a side of vampire.

Loved this book. As Marco and Tessa settle into their new relationship as master and slave, which is a rocky relationship, other characters are doing what they can to rip them apart. Marco's vampire grows stronger by minute as he's determined to keep Tessa to himself. I love the power struggle between Tessa and Marco. Tessa tries hard to resist her desires for Marco and fails time and time again. This book is even more steamy than the first. I finished this book and immediately started reading the third!

Huh.

There were parts that didn't make much sense. The same goes with some of the actions of the characters but since most of them are somewhat crazy it was alright. And shit just got interesting.

Anyways, on with book three.

If you haven’t read Prey, the first book in this series, stop now before you read any further. Blood Bound starts right off where Prey ends. Tessa is now Marko’s unwilling blood slave. She’s been bound to him without her permission and now she’s stuck in a life she fears with a man she loathes yet lusts after.

Tessa and Marko are the poster couple (if you can call them that) for dysfunctional relationships and I’m not sure either of them truly understands what it means to love someone. They both understand what it means to obsess, lust and dominate but love. Love seems to be a concept to them that is built in confusion and a need to maintain control and obtain power.

Marko’s power changes have turned him into an even darker being than he was before he took Tessa as his slave. His desire to possess Tessa has become an obsession of anger and darkness. He doesn’t want her yet he needs to own her. He’s a stalker with murderous intent. The two hold so much contempt for one another it’s a bit cringe worthy when they do show signs of caring for one another. Marko spends most of the time putting Tessa through physical, emotional and psychological pain. Tessa despite this continues to care for him hoping she can change him for the better but the more she learns through her connection to him the more she understands that Marko wasn’t a good man when he was a human and he may never be a good man as a vampire.

Her only hope for escaping from Marko and exacting revenge upon him is to become the concubine of another the Dark Prince and risk becoming the very thing she detests and fears, a dark vampire. There are so many twists and turns in the story that it makes for an impactful read. I don’t like most of the characters. They all seem to be abusive and selfish. The only one who I feel for is Marie. Poor, Marie has really tried to do right and had her heart handed to her numerous times over. However, even though I find the choices the characters make appalling and I think Marko is the biggest jerk ever, I like the story.

It’s twisted, dark and full of force. It’s akin to turning on the weather channel and watching a natural disaster take place. You feel offended and emotionally shocked in a negative way by the damage but you’re glued to the TV watching every second and you can’t turn away. That’s how I feel about Tessa and Marko, a natural disaster causing an immense about of substantial damage and destruction but I can’t help watching it all go down. I’m not sure there is a happy ending to be had in this series but I can imagine things are going to get even more intense and there will be more blood shed, lives lost and hearts torn to pieces.

I received a copy of Blood Bound for a blog tour and an honest review.

OMG.. So good. I don't usually do paranormal, but I signed up for a blog tour for Blood Bound and I'm SO happy that I did.
This is the continuation of Tessa, Marko and Hunters story that began in PREY...Please, if you haven't read PREY, go grab it and read it first.

Remember...Marko loves Tessa, Tessa has feelings for the "new" Marko..and they aren't good. Tessa still loves Hunter and Marko can't stand it!

This story has got SO much going on you don't feel as though you've read for hours.
I can't get enough of Marko and his odd behavior, Marie and her visions and plotting and planning...Julius, he's a little different and I'm not really sure where he fits in except to keep Marko on his toes...Hunter, still trying to find and release Tessa...and finally, we meet the Black Prince and what kind of hold can her assert over Tessa? especially when she's with Marko??? OMG, there's never a dull moment. I don't wanna give anything away, so you just need to understand that where Prey was really good, Blood Bound steps it up a notch,it's gotten hotter, sexier, naughtier...WOW..Loved it. My only issue is NOW I'M WAITING>>>>>>>>

I loved Blood Bound! The more that I read of Alaska Angelini's the more that I love her books! I am addicted! Blood Bound is the 2nd book in the Marko Delacroix series. You do need to read Prey the 1st book in the Marko Delacroix series to know what is going on in Blood Bound!

Blood Bound is my favorite of this series so far! You had my attention immediately as I started reading. I even had to read some at work. At least I had a little extra time.

Tessa is one lucky girl (or is she) She has 3 men fighting over her. Hunter (Human) Marko (Vampire) & Sayer (Vampire) who will win. You will have to read Blood Bound to find out.

But, there is a cliff hanger because this series must go on....

"Love you to death"

I received this ARC for an honest review and I still have the best job as a blogger! Thank you for allowing me to read Blood Bound!

Blood Bound starts where Prey left off and continues the story of Marko and Tessa. Completely full of twists and turns as Marko and Tessa try to settle into their new lives as Master and Slave and all the problems that come with it. They keep you on your toes the whole book, both characters have so many levels to discover just when you think you know them they always end up surprising you. I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait to see what they would do next. The love hate relationship they have is amazing to see unfold and I can’t wait for more. Alaska Angelini has created a world I never want to leave, I am obsessed and can’t get enough.

Love you to death.

Well, that was something, dark and darker!

First off look away if you haven't read Prey, this is a series that you need to read in order.

Marko, he took Tessa against her will as a slave and she's not taking it well!

Tessa is a fighter and has strength but Marko's blood is strong and messes with her mind, does she love him or his blood? Does he love her or her blood? Trust me it's hard to tell at times as Marko is very dark and masterly in this instalment. Tessa is going through changes too, she has a newfound confidence, is she playing a game, albeit a dangerous one or is she losing her mind totally I just don't know.

I know one thing I don't like Julius or Sayer much, Marie I sort of do like she seems almost human other than sucking people dry lol.

In my hearts I know they love one another on a level but what the hell will come of the two them? Then there is Hunter his still about, trying to save Tessa. Oh well, I'm starting book 3 now.

Good story, weak writing and poor editing

I read the first book a while ago and I think I probably gave it the same review. The author does a good job creating complex characters and lots of drama but she never provides the greatly needed backstories of the characters, which makes it nearly impossible to relate to them and understand their motivations. In addition, the editing is really poor in that there are loads of typos, extra words, missing words, misspellings and malapropisms (like "baring down" when it should be "bearing down" and "effecting [me]" when it should be "affecting [me]". This author has no excuse for poor editing because her books are bestsellers in this genre and as such, she has the sales earnings to afford basic professional editing.

saucy.

I loved seeing our FMC kind of grow into her own and really start to change in big ways while Marko is even more confused, clouded by what is deemed right and wrong.

Though something is coming — Marko notices things becoming off and weird, off kilter as the new arrivals who include Sayer. The one who can make his bond vanish.

The cliffhanger at the end left me heartbroken and so sad and feeling for Marko. I look forward to reading on for what’s next and seeing what’s up Julius’ sleeves after both his and Marie’s visions, and what is actively going on in the book.

This is - what I believe to be - a realistic vampiric world.
It is tough to read. Because it's not naive, romantic shit. It's a cruel, hurting way of a world. Where pain and love are blurred. Beautifully written. You are left no choice but to keep reading.
It's devastating in its own dark way. Of people who are trying to remember their humanity. And humans who are cornered by their expectations and inability to fight.
So good.

I'm loving how our FMC is leveling up, while Marko's stuck in a right-vs-wrong haze. But, the vibes are shifting - Marko's picking up on some major weirdness, thanks to the newcomers, including Sayer, the bond-eraser. And, that ending? Total emotional wreckage. Now, I'm champing at the bit to dive back in and see what Julius has brewing, especially after those visions with Marie.
