Hoss has been looking for something he couldn't define. An unnamed need, deep inside him. Meeting Hope Collins for the first time gave him clarity, but he, and the Rebel Wayfarers MC are in the middle of club business. Dangerous business. Business a single mother had no place in. So he set about attempting to keep her safe, until he could claim her.

Full
Isaiah Rogers grew up on his family farm in Alabama. Loved by his family, he’s a country boy at heart, a southern gentleman by raising.

The path to northern Indiana was twisted and long, but this sensitive man found a comfortable niche as a member of the Rebel Wayfarers, vice-president of their affluent and growing Fort Wayne chapter. Hoss, as he’s now known, retains pieces of the boy from rural Alabama, but life in the club has hardened him, driving home the message time and again that love isn’t safe.

Hope Collins also grew up in Alabama, but their histories could not be more different.

An ill-timed youthful rebellion came with long-lasting consequences. It’s then she finds she’s not an only child after all, her father holding up her half-sister’s failures as a painful lesson before closing the door of her childhood home in her face.

Hoss and Hope’s paths collide when she travels to Fort Wayne, to meet the sister she had gone most of her life without knowing about. For Hoss, from the first moment he laid eyes on her, the truth and beauty inside her called to him. Now he will have to find a way to win the woman’s trust and love, while navigating the dangerous currents swirling around the club.

“The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.” ~ Bob Marley

18+ due to explicit content.

*Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order.

Review for Hoss (Rebel Wayfarers MC #7) by MariaLisa deMora

Hoss is the seventh book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC by MariaLisa deMora, while the first books can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, I feel that with Gunny things shift to a point where if you’ve not devoured the first four books you’ll want to do that before taking a ride on the back of Hoss’ bike. I know I’ve said some version of this same thing in all of my reviews, but it needs repeating — deMora has such a unique voice when it comes to MC books. There are so many out there that go to fictional extremes, you just know there isn’t any way it can be ‘real’. Don’t get me wrong, those books are an awesome escape from reality and I’m addicted to several authors who write them, but deMora writes MC in the sense that it is the lifestyle. Her characters are real and the situations aren’t glorified with extremes.

It is going to be so hard to write this review without spoilers. Probably the hardest review I’ve written in a long time. Hoss is one of the most emotionally charged books I’ve read, profound really. I was anticipating a good read, great even, deMora has yet to disappoint me in that way — what I didn’t expect was to be wrecked in the best possible way. I’ve fallen in BBF love, I’ve hated characters harder than I’ve ever hated, I’ve rooted for, cried for, cheered with, and binge read repeatedly all in the name of the Rebel Wayfarers MC series. Hoss takes all that and triples it. His story is just more. So much more.

Hope has a sister she has never met, a son she loves with every fiber of her being, and a family that abandoned her when she needed them the most. As life throws her yet another curveball she and her son, Sammy, take a leap of faith and go in search of her sister, Mercy. Thrust into a world where she is no longer alone, she struggles to allow anyone to help, always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Such a strong and beautiful heroine. I want to be her best friend, hell I want to be her sister. She’s admirable. With everything she’s been through she could easily be a hot mess, but she took life by the horns and did what she had to do.

I was a little shocked to see Sammy get his own POV, but it is a perfect addition and 100% necessary in the telling of Hope and Hoss.

"Big boys gotta watch out for our mommas and the ones we love."

His view of their story, the eyes of a child who had seen too much in his young life, made it stronger. I wanted to scoop him up and hold him tight.

Hoss is a good man. He makes some mistakes along the way. There are moments I was ready to shake him, but he always did his best to make it right. The dedication he had to helping Hope get more sweet in her life was just awesome. He will give you all the feels.

"Such a tame f**king word for what I feel for you, Hope".

Saying Hope and Hoss have chemistry is sort of a lame way to explain the level of holy hotness that is them. And he is a dirty, dirty talker — panty changing dirty. Then there is the sweet way they connect as a unit with Sammy. Love, love, love it.

I’ve read a ton of great books this year, Hoss though? Definitely my number one. I’ll openly admit to ugly crying, more than once. Hoss wrecked me. Five Plus hope filled stars and five wet panties for deliciously dirty talking smutty times. Hoss is an emotional journey that must be taken. A Mommy’s a Book Whore must read now.

"Let’s go meet our future."

ARC Review by Miranda at Mommy’s a Book Whore.

I normally don’t talk about ARCs in my reviews, aside from stating I got an advanced copy for an honest review — the normal spiel. I need to say before going further that I was one of the first to read Hoss. The fact that this is an ARC review in no way sways my opinion of the book, if you have read my reviews in the past you know that I’m fair and honest.

Where to start? How to express my feelings? What is the best way to explain why I find it impossible to accurately place a rating value? I don't want to cause a review problem so for that reason I will place a 5. It just feels so false or insufficient.
The Rebel Wayfarers series is by far one of the best MC collections I have read. Each labeled as a standalone but I highly suggest reading in order. This helps with character and storyline build up.
I have never been so at a loss for words. Nothing seems to be enough. I refuse to give spoilers so that adds to the difficulty. My thoughts to written words seem inaccurate.
I always look for certain elements when I read. Those themes that make me go " wow good book." But!!!! Seldom do I find those that make me loose my breath. You know the ones!! Moments lost in time- reality becomes the storyline- time stops..... Days after completing I am still flabbergasted. I am still trying to digest and reconcile what I experience.
How can something written for entertainment feel so real? Is storytelling like this evening even possible? Good storytelling will make you believe what your reading. GREAT storytelling will CONVINCE you of what your reading. Reality becomes blurred. I lost myself. Probably why I was so blindsided at certain moments.
Be warned of the emotional toll. Lots of tissues required. I have never felt like I could touch emotions. Literally reach out and grab hold. " Why oh why did it have to hurt so good?" I never knew devastated and perfection could go in the same description. This is definitely perfected devastation!!!!
Would I suggest is an understatement. Every reader should enjoy this series. Every reader should be exposed and have the opportunity to interpret/perceive this magnificent work of art.
I have never written this in any review. I feel honored and blessed to have had my heart tattooed by HOSS!!!!!!! AndreaGAH ( ARC)

Holy crap! As I sit here crying for the 5th (yes you read that right, the 5th) time reading this book, with my children looking at me as if I’m weird that a book can make me cry, I am in a serious book hangover. I don’t even know what to say to get across how this book made me feel, as right now I’m just floored at what I just read.

Hope and Hoss’ journey wasn’t an easy one, with doubts, miscommunications and club issues getting in the way. In all that though, was a whole lotta love between the pair and Hope’s 8 year old son, Sam. I really did not expect things to turn out how they did, and I really need to step away for a little while and watch something light and cheesy while I get my head round it all. Be assured though, that by the end of the day I will be reading the next book as that’s it, I’m all in, I have to know what’s next and see what happens to everyone from here on out. 5 stars isn’t enough for this book that just shredded me and made my face raw from wiping away the tears; tissues at the ready everyone! Damn ML, wtf did you just do to me? 😉 x

This was a sweet tale for not only the heroine & her hero but also the son of the heroine. Beautiful. Having the POV of such a young character was different & a first for me I do believe. I was really happy that Hoss had finally found unconditional love even when he forgot to communicate what he actually wanted. For some that have never been able to count on others or forced into independence just to survive it’s hard to all of a sudden start relying to depend on others. Or count on those around you just because they say you can, trust is hard to do & accept.

This is by far the most emotional story of the series so far!
I simply have NO words for all the emotions invoked by Hoss's story.
Right from the start Hoss, Hope & Sammy stole my heart and attention. Sammy with his attitude so many years ahead of his age, Hope living up to her name and never losing HOPE in situations where most people would give up, and Hoss, knowing and seeing how much love and determination Hope carries.
Absolutely fantastic read!!!

Again... I love these men!!! And yay!! Two female main characters that are amazing!!! *throws confetti* and Sammy... cutest kid ever!!

Now... this book ended for me 3 chapters before Epilogue because I'm in denial at how can someone do THAT to one of her strongest female leads so I'm not talking or even acknowledging those last few chapters... *glares*

"No lies"...

I don't even know how to begin. It took me a few hours to get my head around what I read. I cried at work; while I read. I cried on my drive home and can't even think about delving into another book, at the moment. It's just unfathomable to me right now. I don't think I've ever had a book hangover like this. And I certainly haven't had one this year, until now.

I've been a fan of the Rebel Wayfarers since I read Mica. These guys are so kind and loving and are extremely family oriented. Something that's not always so common in the MC stories I've read. With each new installment in this series, I fall more and more in love with the Rebels. Mason has always been my number one. The way he holds his brothers together and keeps them on a path that makes life better for everyone.

Now... as I read Hoss, he slowly inched his way up that ladder in my heart and started to fight for Mason's spot, where he's been since I fell for him so long ago...after reading Mica. In each of the books, Hoss has been present but I was never really able to get a sense of who he was, as a man. He stayed in the shadows and did his part of being VP to Slate and helping when the Rebels faced trouble. But getting to know him now? My heart swelled with love for him. He was such an amazing man!! I knew the Rebels were good guys, but getting to know Hoss' heart was an ultimate delight. The way he stepped into a role that he never even imagined having; and did it so effortlessly and wholeheartedly. The tenderness he showed to Hope and Sammy was heartwarming. The protectiveness he possessed was nothing short of enviable. I wanted to be Hope...in every way.

Hope was an entity all on her own. That woman had unimaginable strength no matter what life threw at her; and she didn't let it harden her. Sure she had some issues, but compared to the life she lived, I'm amazed at how strong and sweet and caring she remained. As I read, the one word that kept coming to mind when I saw how Hope continually pushed on?... ADMIRABLE. Hope was a character that someone could aspire to be. Her ability to make lemon-aide out of lemons was amazing. She had her moments of weakness where she doubted her strength and questioned her ability to be the mother she wanted to be, but they were completely unwarranted and only a result of how her life began. She proved over and over that she would do anything and everything to make sure her son, Sammy, had everything and anything he could need or want.

The story wouldn't have been a complete story, had it not been for Sammy. That boy put it all together in a nice and neat bow. For someone so young, he had a strength and maturity WAY beyond his years. It served as a testament to Hope and the mother she was.

With all that being said, I don't know else to convey the heartwarming feels and tearful heartaches this book evoked in me. MariaLisa deMora wrote a story that nearly crippled me so much that I didn't know what to do with myself. This was HANDS DOWN, the best in the series!! I can't wait to see what will happen for Duck.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

I just can’t get enough of the Rebel Wayfarers MC Series. I know I mentioned this in past reviews, but this series just keeps getting better and better. Each book can be read as a standalone, but in order to really get to know this MC and all of their alpha, dominant males, I think it would be best to read them in order. I absolutely love this author’s unique MC writing style. For one the Rebel Wayfarers seems more in touch with reality and deal with issues and topics that tear at my heart. We met Hoss in Jase’s book, and I was drawn to this character, I wanted to learn more about this kind, gentle, caring and fierce member of the Rebel Wayfarers.

I think it is safe to say that when reading this book, prepare for a passionate and exciting read. True to form Maria deMora did not disappoint me at all. After I got through the first 10 pages I was always crying my eyes out, which only led me on a journey to believing, trusting and falling in love with characters that in the past left a bad feeling in my mouth.

Hope and her son Sammy’s life was and is not an easy one. Hope has been on her own for years. She was his sole care taker after her family abandoned her. We meet Hope and Sammy when they are at the lowest point in their lives. I do not want to give too much away, but your heart will break and bleed tears for this mother and son. Hope has intense love and needs to make sure Sammy has what he needs regardless of what little she has or how many jobs she has to have to make it happen. She is the epitome of what every mother all over the world should be. I can’t even express how much respect I have for this character. When Hope has run out of all options she decides to put caution to the wind and travel to get help from her sister. Mercy, a sister she has never met. Hope’s character is one that you can’t help but fall in love with, she is strong, caring, and so good. When she loves, she loves fiercely. Hope’s life has not been kind to her so her expectations aren’t very high, she expects things to go south quickly.

Hoss, wow as soon as he sees Hope and her son all he wants to do is help and protect them, but he also wants to keep her away from the dangerous life he leads. Hoss takes interest in Hope and Sam and from a far makes sure they are taken care of. Hoss is an alpha male all the way, but he is also very caring and sweet. In his MC life he has always taken what he wants, but with Hope and Sam he knows he has to take a different approach. I loved Hoss’ character. He is not perfect, he makes mistakes, which makes his character more believable, more human.

A special treat for me was, getting a POV from Sammy. To say it was an interesting twist is putting it mildly. To get into this young boy’s mind and see how much of his life has affected him blew my mind. The road to happiness for Hope and Hoss is a hard one. Hoss has to learn that Sam and Hope are used to being let down so he has to show them that they are HIS priority. Hope is so used to doing things alone it’s hard for her deal with being part of the Rebel Wayfarer’s family as Hoss’ woman. Hope must learn to rely and trust in others. Can these three characters find a family they yearn for? Can Hope fully open her heart and trust Hoss with all her heart? Can Hoss show Hope and Sam just how important they are too him, while still being a brother to the Rebel Wayfarer’s? If you are a fan of this series than this is a must read. If you haven’t started this series than what are you waiting for? You won’t be disappointed.

ERIN'S REVIEW
7 STARS

I love this author! I think I would read the History of Toilet Paper if she was the one that wrote it! I cannot say enough good things about this author and series. I have never given a book 7 stars before but this one is so deserving. I am a huge fan of this series and have loved every one of the books so far. However, I think this book qualifies as the best book I have EVER read. I hope I can do justice to this story with this review. Let me start by saying that if you have not read the first 6 books, what are you waiting for? I will say that you need to read those before you even think about starting this one as they are no longer standalone’s. This MC is such a tight knit family that it is impossible to write the next book without including previous characters. The characters and their relationships are so intertwined that the story would be sorely lacking if they were left out.

This story has left me with a very big emotional mark. As soon as I finished I had to message the author and tell her what a wreck I was. Then it took me 2 days to finally be able to sit down and write this review. To say I was a blubbering mess would be an understatement. Just thinking about it makes me start tearing up all over again.

Hoss and Hope. These two characters were destined for a fierce love. Their relationship had a rocky start but turned into a love for the ages. From previous books, I didn’t get the personality from Hoss that shows up in his story. I was shocked and amazed by his character. I love when an author can catch me off guard like that. Hoss has an amazing capacity for love. It is shown by his actions towards Hope and Sammy. He is a protector and he meets his match in Sammy, who is just as fierce. Reading their story and watching their relationship progress has been the best adult/child relationship I have read. I felt like I was there watching the whole thing unfold. Hope is a strong woman who has been let down too many times. Her relationship with Sammy is beautiful. They are very protective of each other. Hope and Hoss together is romance writing at its best.

I have nothing but love for MariaLisa deMora and her strength as a writer. She followed this story to its ending because that is where it had to go. I know she probably struggled with this book and I commend her for following the path it went. I am looking forward to the next one (DUCK!!!) and where it will lead this big family.

It's funny actually; that I first read MICA (book #1) - didn't quite understand where this series was going but that didn't stop me from reading SLATE (book #2). I then stopped the series even though I had gotten all the ensuing books but when MASON (book #6) came out I read that one but hadn't read BEAR (book #3), JASE (book #4), or GUNNY (book #5). For some odd reason even after reading book #2 (SLATE) I didn't 'get it' yet but I still intended to read the whole series......it's just that I put some of the books on a back-burner. However; when I read MASON's book, I got it. I completely understood what this series was about because MASON is the driving force behind each MC member. Once I got his 'focus'; I found my 'focus' in reading this series. Each book is a fine showpiece of writing. Each book is part of the puzzle that makes up this series. I don’t recommend reading out of order because each book MUST be read in order to get the full picture.

So; now that I've reread the whole series to date and in order (each book is a fantastic story); I'm reading HOSS (book #7). I completely enjoyed the man himself and his part in the MC group. I liked him even when he didn't have a clue as to how to have a relationship with our main heroine HOPE and her wonderful son SAM. It is a beautiful love story between a man, a woman and the growing of what will become a family unit. There were so many ups and downs and ultimately a good drenching of happenings which wrench the reader's heart. (BINGO, we loved him.......).

The twist towards the end just broke my heart but our dear writer finds the way to mend not only her characters but the reader as well because in typical Wayfarer MC fashion their family pulls together and helps one another through the darkest of times. I'm hoping we'll hear more about HOSS in later books.....enough said. Taking us so many years into the future is a tool to show healing.......and it works but I'm hoping that in future books for this series we'll get all those years filled in because this reader does NOT want to miss what happened to the Wayfarer family in those years. Personally; I want to have more MASON!

HOSS is a beautiful addition to the series and this series is simply GREAT. Thank you.

WOW I had to sleep on this review !! I just did not expect that ending AT ALL , OMG , crazy , devastating and just totally unexpected. I once again have learned to enjoy the way MariaLisa writes , the details , the descriptions and the length of the stories. Again even though we met Hoss before we know get to really know him and despite who any of these characters are I always feel a connection because we get to know them so well. I will admit I thought Hoss was a bit weird when it came to DeeDee and even in the beginning of Hope being around he did seem a little stalkerish !! But damn once you get to know him better you just see he wears his heart on his sleeve and since he has never done this relationship thing he really has no clue how it works. For being such a big bad a$$ guy it is quite endearing.

Hope heads into town after struggling with a horrible past. She is coming for her sister Mercy , who we know already. Mercy and Hoss are besties and the second Hoss spots Hope and her son Sammy he takes a great interest in them and begins his plan to protect , provide for and claim. Again Hoss is a little strange with his approach but I can bet most women would love for a man to take that much pride in protecting and providing for them. It may seem annoying and frustrating but all that is part of the journey to love !! Men have a hard time getting things right. Especially when they know nothing more than being alphas and protecting their own. Club life may prove to be a little much for Hope and Sammy. Decisions are made by all 3 , Hope , Sammy and Hoss , that hinder the journey and cause some major roadblock issues. Once Hoss starts spouting his emotions be warned , he is a heartfelt guy and he will pull at your heartstrings and win you over big time. He is such a sweet and amazing guy.

Overall I would say this book has minimal club drama. Most of the drama comes from Hope's past and the poor choices she and Hoss make. It is a great story , a tragic ending and some major changes come into to play for the MC and their personal lives. I look forward to what comes next.

I just finished Hoss and I just absolutely loved it! This is apart of the Rebel Wayfarers MC series and to me this one could be read as a stand alone but to get the full effect of the characters I believe you must read the whole series, plus you'd be missing out on something by far greater than what you have read in an MC series.

This particular story is Hoss, the VP of the Fort Wayne chapters. You have read him in the previous books but this book just makes him shine. He's so freaking sweet but all alpha in his own way which is what I look for in a book hero. You also meet Hope and Sammy. Hope is Mercys half sister and Sammy is her son. They have had a rough life and when they can't take anymore, they leave Alabama to start a new life in Indy with her sister. They weren't expecting much, hell when you read their story you will not blame them for thinking that. What they didn't expect was to eventually feel belonged somewhere.

The story is shown in multiple POV's which is what I love about MariaLisa. She shows things we have already read but you read them in different perspectives which brought more depth and heart to the story then what I'd initially had expected. There was so many times where I was in utter happiness reading this and at times utterly heartbroken with how the story unfolded. No lies! I was pulled from the very beginning and I didn't want to let go. Still don't. That's the one thing she does...She makes me feel lost when the story is over but alas it will never be over for me. In my heart I will play scenes that captured the beauty of this story and sit rather impatiently for more!

Hoss (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #7) By MariaLisa deMora is Hoss’s story. He is an original member and vice president of the Wayfarers of Fort Wayne. The club has been his life and it is all he knows other than his paintings. One night at their strip club he runs into Hope who he instantly has an attraction to. Hope has had a hard life and has come to Fort Wayne because she has no place to go with her young son to find a sister she has never met. For Hope pulling up to a strip club and being surrounded by motorcyclist is something she never expected. Use to doing everything on her own Hope has a hard time believing and depending on other people. She especially has a hard time letting her self believe and fall for Hoss. Dealing with being the women of a member of motorcycle club is something she really cannot deal with or expose to her son. Her and Hoss’s journey is one of many trials and tribulations. While reading this story I went through several different emotions. This story is so unlike all the other ones in the series. I was given an ARC for an honest review. I give this story 4.5 stars.

This is book 7 in the Rebel Wayfarer's MC and I have got to say that hands down, MariaLisa deMora knocked it out of the park!

It all started with book 1 with Micah... and a very original MC story that included hockey players and rodeos! yeah, I know.... total originality!
Then from there we get 5 more books, great books with deep characters and slow simmers to hotness which is my fave!

But now... with Hoss... I am blown away. I am at a true loss for words to express how deep the emotions I felt while reading this story. It hit places that you absolutely never see coming... I cried several times, and laughed and sighed even more. Hope and Hoss's story will truly stay with you forever... its that good!

I refuse to say anything about any detail of this story... Go in blind with just the synopsis... and I guarantee you will feel everything and cry and laugh and just be moved by this story!

You feel the love a Hope gives her son and sacrifices she makes everyday so he feels protected and loved. You see through Sams eyes as he takes in his surroundings and the role of protector of his mother at his young age. Then Hoss comes and tries to give them the safety and love they deserve. Thru one step forward and two steps back this three some builds to become a family then tragic loss happens and family dynamics change but love goes on as life move on.
I wasn't prepared for the ending as I no longer look at reviews for MariaLisa deMora's because you truly know by now you will never be disappointed.
Another awesome book that out does the last. Thank you for giving us the men of the MC and the ladies they love!

In the beginning, I didn't really like this book as much as the others and I was a bit slow to connect with with the heroine. Hope wasn't my favorite character but I did enjoy Hoss's determination to win Hope. A single mother, all of Hope's actions were done with her son in mind. Sam was adorable and a pleasure to read about. He protected his mother and friends fiercely.

But the ending... The ending really shocked me. I was so surprised and ended up in tears. Beautiful ending and DeMora's writing was absolutely great. I hope to hear more about these characters in future books or maybe even a short.

Have you ever read a book that sticks with you or had a character that haunts you? A plot so strong that it puts a mark way deep down in your heart?

Hoss is like that. Everything the characters go through will hit you in the farthest recesses of your soul and leave you yearning for more.

The characters? Unforgettable. The story? Hauntingly beautiful.

Hoss is another solid addition to the Rebel Wayfarers MC series.

Well done, MariaLisa, well done.

This is my confession: Everyone needs beauty in their lives and things ALWAYS happen for a reason.

This was one of the best and most heartbreaking books I've read in a long time! Hoss and Hope and Sammy, what a beautiful and tragic love story! I really don't want to give anything away, because this story deserves to be read and not told, so I'm just going to add one thing. Not since a little boy named Cohen do I think I've read such a perfect child character! Sammy is/was one of my all-time favorite characters!!!
