Red Wolves Motorcycle Club, Book #3: When Dove Cries by Beth D. Carter
The Red Wolves Motorcycle Club has lived by the outlaw code, until now. When a human-trafficking ring moves into their territory, they will stop at nothing to defend their women. The Red Wolves protect what’s theirs, but now they’re fighting the war with justice, and finding love along the way. ****************
Can two men, who don’t trust each other, protect a woman they both care for?
John Draven is vice president of the Red Wolves Motorcycle Club. While on a special run, he meets FBI Agent Cadence Vanaker again. Cade is the man who killed his cousin five years ago and the person he hates more than anyone. Now John is forced to work with him to take down a human trafficking ring operating in John’s hometown.
Cade wants more than anything to tell Draven he wasn’t the one who really killed his cousin, but he can’t reveal the truth and has to live with Draven’s hate as a result. When the two men find a woman half-dead and bound with zip ties, they both feel a need to protect her—and the need to be her only man.
Dove Aldrin is a sensitive young woman who was abducted and held prisoner. When she escapes, she falls into the path of two men determined to help her and to find the man responsible for treating her so cruelly. What she didn’t count on was falling for both John and Cade. How can she pick one over the other, especially when the two men despise each other? ****************

I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and from the first story I knew I wanted to write romance novels.
I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.
I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
I am a mom to an amazing boy. I live in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and family. I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them.
Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one. My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming). I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my e-reader, whom I’ve named Ruby. So many books at the touch of a button!
Also, Elizabeth Monvey is my pseudonym for writing steamy MM romance. LOVE is LOVE!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads~~
The third in the series, and although the outcome seems predetermined by the series, and the cover, it is a great story to get there! I am assuming that you have read the previous two books in this review - if you haven't, I highly recommend that you do - this story has a lot of background in them.
I loved the interaction between these characters, and the tender possessiveness that both the guys felt for the damaged yet strong of spirit Dove. Things have been building in the trafficking plot, and the twist at the end was both inspired and dramatic. I loved the moral dilemmas that all the protagonists have faced, and how the issues are resolved in a pragmatic and realistic fashion. The heat when finally allowed loose is almost tangible. Beautifully written, and developed - thank you Ms Carter for a great read.
FiveStars I love this series, of course I love anything to do with bikers. Each story gets better and better. I enjoyed how this book really got into depth regarding the kidnapping of all the women. The tension between Cade and Draven was great it added so much to the story instead of being all great between the two men. I thought Dove was a very strong woman to have survived what she went through and still come out strong. The relationship that developed between the three I thought was amazing. They went through many struggles and still came out stronger and more closer. But I have to say I was surprised at the twist of who was responsible for the kidnapping. I am looking forward to reading the next book!! I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. Sherry

At first, this book seemed much like the previous two. The girl in trouble who is rescued and falls immediately in love with her saviors, but after about a quarter of the book, things really started to change and the plot got thicker and more interesting.
I really liked watching the way thing evolved between the men who started out hating each other, but caring for the same woman. Once again there were lots of secrets and things unexpected.
The naughty scenes in this book were the best so far in my opinion. They really added in sensuality with emotions and feelings. I could do without the 'in and out, in and out' parts as I think 'thrusting' or 'pumping' gives enough of that. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. Renee

Dove is such a strong character right from the start. She escapes this horrible shed, wants to live. She never gives up. I love that about her character.
Then you have Cade and Draven. While their relationship is far more complicated, they start to work together to solve the mystery that is, who is trafficking the women?
The sex between the three of them is scorching and while they are still trying to solve the mystery, both men are so protective.
While I guessed who the "bad guy" was early on, it did not stop me from enjoying the book. Because I read the previous story, this one just added to the mystery and awesomeness of the series.
I would love to continue to read Carter books! I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
As the third book of the Red Wolves Motorcycle Club, it is not really a stand-alone story. Since I have not read the others, I was a little lost. But, that quickly changed as I got more into this book and involved with the characters.
Draven and Cade are forced to work together to find out about the kidnapping/human trafficking ring in Draven’s home town. The two men hate each other because of past circumstances. They come upon a gaunt, hurt, Dove while they were riding and immediately feel that need to protect her. She was being held in the sub-basement of a barn – where they suspect the ring leaders hide the girls they kidnap.
Dove is sensitive yet strong. After being rescued by John Draven and Cade, she begins to fall for each of them and can’t decide which one she wants more. I really liked Dove because even though she was kidnapped, held in the basement, beaten, and hurt, she was always determined to escape and didn’t give up hope. She doesn’t cower with the men who rescue her and accepts their protection. The relationship was interesting because even though the men hated each other, the both loved Dove enough to put her first. LOVE that!
I loved this story and will definitely look for more within this series!
When Dove Cries - Beth Carter Cade, Dove and Draven M/F/M romance and mystery 4 stars

John and Cadence are definitely not the best of friends and don't trust each other at all. John is VP of the Red Wolves MC and Cadence is an FBI agent which means they are on opposite sides. Even more so since John believes that Cadence killed his cousin deepening the animosity between them. Everything changes when Dove comes into their lives. She has escaped a nightmare where she was kidnapped and help prisoner. The more time she spends with these men the harder she falls for them. Now they just have to catch the man behind her abduction and keep her safe. I really loved their story. So much passion and suspense. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Carter creates new tension in book three of her Red Wolves Motorcycle Club ménage series. In When Dove Cries, we have delicious tension with two leading men who loathe each other. How can Dove Aldrin have both men when they can’t get along? Draven and Cade are complex and attractive and care deeply for Dove. She relishes their protection after the ordeal she nearly didn’t survive and fall equally for each.
The tension between the Red Wolves and their rivals continues and escalates and the human traffickers remain in the wind. Protecting Dove means dealing with these situations and brings the two men together, albeit reluctantly.
When Dove Cries is well written with plenty of intense situations and emotions, a complex story and lots of spicy sex.
I loved the different aspects going on in this story. The mystery kept me guessing, and the pace was perfect. Each scene moved the story further ahead, and laid a new breadcrumb. In the end, the best part about the twist was the realization.
