After finally rescuing his beloved Kate from the clutches of his twisted cousin, Tony has spent the last seven months running from his demons, only to find himself in a drunken stupor. The thought of her carrying Masimo’s baby plagues his very soul, and yet every day he spends without Kate is sheer torture. Finally resolved to drown his sorrows in a bottomless bottle of whiskey, Tony has taken up residence in a seedy hotel room in downtown San Diego. He has all but given up hope on everything and everyone in his life when his best friend and security expert Jasper arrives to inform him that all is not as it seems. Now Tony must make both the physical and emotional journey back to Kate, beg for forgiveness, and pray that the life he always dreamed of slips through his fingers.
Having gone through a lifetime of torture she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy, Kate can’t let go of the hurt of being left her alone and pregnant with Tony’s child. And now, Tony is forced to keep another secret from Kate, something which is certain to make things worse. Following the delivery, Kate spirals into a post-partum depression that renders her helpless, and Tony is forced to function as a single parent.
There never appears to be a lull in the storm that looms over Kate and Tony. Just when there seems to be chance for the two of them to get back on track, an ex-girlfriend returns, and makes it clear that she won’t stop until she gets the life with Tony she has always wanted. Now locked in a fight for everything he holds precious, Tony is forced to find a way to put the pieces of the puzzle together in order to get his life and his family back together. Will Tony figure out a way to save Kate and his young family? Find out in Saved, the final story in the Surrender Trilogy.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I received my Master's Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have worked in nursing for over fifteen years. I have worked in multiple areas of nursing. However, my passion is for emergency medicine. Oh the stories I can tell.

My passion wasn't always nursing. When I started college, I wanted to be a writer. However, I had a teacher that made me less then happy about writing and I chose to go into nursing. Since then, I have always had stories in my head that I wanted to put on paper but never found the time.

I married my wonderful husband whom I met while working in the intensive care unit. We have three active and amazing boys that consistently keep me on my toes. We spend a lot of time watching the boys baseball games, snowboarding in Mammoth, and watching the oldest son play high school football. I happen to be the photographer for his team and I spend a lot of time on the field!

So with all of the activities in my life, where do I find the time to write? Needless to say, I am an insomniac. When I am not up in the middle of the night reading, I get up about five in the morning and start writing. Most days, this gives me an hour and a half to write as much as I can. During the summer months, I am blessed with a lighter schedule and more time to put my thoughts to paper.

I started writing a Shot in the Dark in March of 2012. I was sitting in an airport waiting standby for a plane back to San Diego. I had time to kill. Before I knew it, I had four chapters written. Due to my busy schedule supervising an emergency department, I never found the time to continue my story.

In November of 2012, I resigned from my position and decided to stay home with my children. This afforded me time to finish "A Shot in the Dark" and find a publisher. I was lucky enough to be picked up by Black Rose Writing. A Shot in the Dark will be released July 11, 2012. I am currently working on the sequel, Into the Light, and hope to have it finished by the end of the summer! I am also working on an untitled novel I hope to have completed by the end of the year.

Check out A Shot in the Dark. I hope you will enjoy it!

Saved is the final book book in the Surrender series. It starts where book 2 left off. Tony has found Kate is pregnant, and he takes off to California before he can find who the father is. He spends seven months fighting his demons before his best friend comes to bring him home.

When he comes home to Kate, there is a whole new set of obstacles he must overcome. Like the rest of the series there continues to be numerous plot twists and turns, which make this the great story that it is. The real question is will they be strong enough to survive it all?

This was a fantastic conclusion to this series. Jennifer Burrows has written a well developed storyline, with great characters. I could not put this down. I loved reading this entire series!

I was thrilled with the way Tony and Kate's story ended. For two characters who seemed to have the whole world against them, they finally found their own happiness. Can't wait to see if this author decides to write a side book about the other two characters in the story, Jax and Kendall.

A quote from Tony: "I contemplate all of life's events over the past couple of years and wonder why things have been so complicated between Kate and me. Why can't they be easy? The good guy in my head has finally over powered the self-destructive asshole and tells met that nothing easy is worth doing. I've known this my entire life, but have chosen to ignore it up until this very moment. I'm in for the long haul, and now I need to figure out how to get us out of this mess and get on with the happy-ever-after."

"I'm going to marry Tony. I let those words sink in for a few moments. Am I prepared to completely let Tony into my world and subject myself to whatever crazy life is in store for us? Without hesitation, I know the answer. Of course. I've loved him for what seems like forever. I loved him when I saw him slowly dying in the chair in that basement in Italy, when I was kidnapped by Matteo a second time, and even when he left for San Diego. As much pain as he's caused, he's made up for it tenfold when we're together. I can try to deny it, but Tony owns my heart and probably always will."

Each book in the series was exciting and the writing only got better with the author Jennifer Burrows writing experience. There was also a preview of her next book, "Wrecked" at the end of this installment. I will be reading this next book too, as I am a true fan of Jennifer Burrows writing and story telling.

JENNIFER BURROWS ... HAS A GREAT BOOK ON HER HANDS... DON'T MISS THIS...
I was given this book for an honest review and this is my honest opinion 18+readers
I loved this book. You just never know when the next twist is going to be or where it will take you. This story has everything you can dream of in it. Love , death, loyalty ,friendship ,loss, strength ,weakness ,and bravery . You have a young woman who has been kidnapped, twice. A young man who when he thinks life is finally going to be ok, goes to get coffee and wakes up tied up and his son kidnapped. You have a friend who was hired as security but becomes the best and most loyal friend a man could ever have for himself , family, his friends. someone who would do anything to help his friends out.You have a guy who thinks he has loss everything, so he drinks day and night, he believes he is the cause of everyone's bad misfortunes.Yet he doesn't even know what he missed out on when he walked away. Get a box of tissues you will need it , for the times you laugh so hard you wonder if you will stop or for the times you find the sadness overwhelms you. As the story twist and turns you may sometimes want to find a way to just reach out and slap someone but give it 10 pages and you will also wish you could hug them or tell them what could make it better. Now that don't mean you will end up liking everyone or wanting to help them, you won't. Some just deserve whatever they get out of life, in a book or real life. But You will get a happy ever after, though I would not mind if some of the other characters got their own books and hopes of updates on the others as they do. I love this story so much I was sorry when it ended but loved the ending.

“Saved” by Jennifer Burrows is a wonderful conclusion to the Surrender Series. I beta read this beauty and loved every moment of it. Jennifer has a great way of bringing her characters to life and in this final installment she did just that with Tony and Kate.

Tony hit rock bottom when he lost everything. In the beginning he was not the guy I loved and I really hoped he would find himself. I liked every dark inch of him despite his mouth sometimes. After he comes to his senses he gets back to fighting for the one thing he wants so bad 'Kate and the baby'.

Kate is so broken from everything she went through with Mateo. Kate cannot stand the thought of possibly having his baby. Kate is filled with secrets that she is keeping from Tony and let me tell you they are juicy. I've always liked Kate but in this book she was so broken which was understandable when it came to everything she went through. In the end, Kate was slowing becoming the strong woman I met in 'Surrender'.

Overall, Jennifer does an excellent job with this book. I was not left questioning anything and I was very satisfied with the ending. The story had a great flow which made it easy to read. The characters worked well with the story. There was heartbreak, crying, surprises and lost. 'Saved' is that story about self rediscovery that you do not want to miss out. If you haven't read the Surrender Trilogy yet, better now than never right? This book and the rest of the series is simply Brilliant!

Saved is the final book in the Surrender trilogy by Jennifer Burrows. I loved it! Strap on your big girl panties and get ready for all the emotions that are about to come your way. This book is filled with passion, angst, fear, deception, betrayal, forgiveness and love.

Nothing has come easy for Kate and Tony and this book is no exception. It starts off where Shattered left off. Tony is a mess determined to destroy himself by drinking until he feels nothing. He almost succeeded in drinking himself to death until Jasper comes to drag him back home because he needs to man up and be there for Kate when she has the baby.

Kate has been suffering from what was done to her by Mateo and even more from Tony walking out and leaving her while she's pregnant. She will forever love him but is hurt almost beyond repair.

When Tony comes back she is so conflicted. It is a long emotional journey that is only just beginning with Tony's arrival. Nothing will be able to prepare you for what is about to come.

This book is not easy on the heart at times, but it is oh so worth it. I must say, I almost threw my Kindle a time or two. It was a five-star read for me!

Book #3 starts up right where book #2 left us all hanging. As Tony & Kate struggle with their own feelings & fears life just keeps getting to them. Will their love for each other be enough? You'll have to read on to find out. I did & I'm so happy that I did. Jennifer knows how to put a smile on your face & bring a tear to your eye. I highly recommend you read about the lives she has created!

After left hanging from shattered, I couldn't wait to continue reading Saved. What an emotional ride for Katherine and Tony, will there love be enough for them both to get through the heart ache? This book had me in tears and was a wreck with my emotions while reading. I was so drawn to the characters and felt connected to their feelings so have plenty of tissues in hand. I was so thrilled with the ending and brought tears to my eyes with happiness. I love the Surrender trilogy. Awesome series Jennifer.
