Sweet Romance
Sebastian is an alpha polar bear shifter who helps his father and brothers run their family owned resort on a tropical island. He is uber masculine but has a commitment phobia. Kim is a fun, smart attorney on vacation who is also a Grizzly shifter. But she has issues of her own. Together they combust, but how long can it last? Something or someone has to give it up if this is going to work. For me this book was about facing your fears, putting yourself first, and learning to give in order to get. Sounds contradictory but life can be complex and multi-dimensional, particularly for alpha shifters.

I love a good shifter read - but is that not a polar bear on the cover? Living in the Carribean? The blurb mentions that he's a "alpha-bear sea captain". I'll wait until some of my friends read this one so I can see their reviews..........i just keep envisioning a polar bear shifter living on the beach, sailing a yacht.......and its not working for me.

Huh? I'm VERY CONFUSED!
Are we reading the same book? Just double checked and yep-106 total ratings with a 5 star average. I don't understand this at all.
I barely made it through 20% of the book, really only got that far because I was thinking "Maybe it gets better.". Nope. I gave up.
I don't know if I rated the first book in the series but my notes show it was just "so-so". Wasn't going to read any more until I saw the 5 star rating. Very strange.

Happy dreams
Although these are nice enough stories, I am not liking them as well as the wolves. Less action. These feel more like your basic billionaire story, but with rather tame bears. Oh,they seem to have the same 'fated mate' drive as the wolves, but not as wild. They also don't seem to tie into the other books as much. There are vague references to other shifters, but no interaction with them. Maybe it is just too early for me to see that yet. There is enough here to keep me reading. Still a decent bedtime story.

I Loved it.

It was a very good story to read. I liked how they have been able to come and get together. Plus how they were able to work together. And how they together, were able to handle her relatives and the up incoming announcement!

He wanted her to remember him with every step she took.
Oh how I loved this story! I was impressed that even though it is a shorter story (roughly about 95 pgs or so) it did NOT lack for anything. Kim is such an amazing girl, so full of self-confidence and always ready for the next adventure. Then there is Sebastien! He is the middle brother of the Weston bears and he is all full of seriousness with a scowl always close by. Of course, he is not in the market for a mate, but fate (& his father) have other plans for him! Right away you can just tell how funny, sexy & full of romance this book is going to be and you will not be disappointed! I burst out laughing a few times with all of the hilarious moments and naughty one liners like “So, captain, you gonna let me hoist your mainsail later”. There isn’t a lot of “shifting” but the bear is always there, as part of the story. This is the second time that I have had the pleasure of reading Terry's books. I absolutely loved Bear-ever Yours, and this is the perfect story to follow it! I know that the books in this series are each labeled as a standalone because of the way that they end…but I think that by reading them in order you get the most out of ALL of the stories! I love Terry’s take on polar bears, the unique traits they have, I love the humor, the sexiness, the…well EVERYTHING! I love the different...WHOA!! Almost gave a spoiler there! As I already mentioned this is the second book of Terry's that I have read, but I can guarantee that it will NOT be the last!! I love how creative and unique Terry's polar bears are! I loved all the books in this series. I have always enjoyed the books Terry Bolryder writes. The funniest part of this series is that they are polar bears living on a tropical island running a resort which is the family business.

One down and two to go! Dad's matchmaking attempt has proven successful with son number one, now--number two is a real challenge. Sebastien only needs the sea. He doesn't need curvy, funny tempting Kim. He doesn't. And if he tells himself enough he might believe--but probably not.
And Kim only wants some fun before she has to accept her familial responsibility. Oops, the man/bear to give her that adventure is so hot and so much fun to tease--too bad he's her mate. Yeah, too bad because he doesn't want commitment and neither does she. She doesn't.
Both find out convincing their bears that this has to end in a few days isn't easy. Of course man/woman and beasts all feel the same. The only ones torn with past history and family commitment are their human sides.
Okay, a fling. That will have to do. Can they really play and then part? This is a great read and I love the twists that keep things interesting. What do you get when a feisty curvaceous sexy. Wheels Brown Bear commandeer your yacht? An angry yet 6 feet something polar bear that is all out doors melt your panties off you hell-of-a captain. Sebastian knew the moment the wind brought Kim's scent to him that she was his mate. Kim knew the trip she so-called won was the adventure of a lifetime. This adventurous attorney wanted to make the last time of her free time count before her arranged marriage. Never wanted resettled down . Just one last fling former and a little fun finally for the follow the rules kind of guy. But Sam Seb's father had other ideas. he was doing a little match making himself for this three boys with their true mates. He knew his dad would set bids with the perfect woman. Hmmmm! Sam did. This was actually the first series that the women were black and of course my gorgeous Caucasian men. Thank Terry being a black female I rarely see that but it doesn't deter me. I love em all! I cannot wait the last book. Hopefully either the mom comes back or they get some closure at least happy closure for Sam. Who knew Polar bears loved the Caribbean? Check out this book. A keeper!

I have to state that my cat and I loved this story-I was recently in the hospital overnight-cat missed me-so when cat decided he couldn't take my glasses off while I was reading, he decided to stay by my side and watch me read this delightful book on my kindle.
This story was more than appealing. Even though this was a short read-the characters were developed enough for you to get to know them. The characters have realistic qualities such as strength and vulnerability. Terry was able to bring you into her story-with humor, love, and passion. Kim was feisty and enchanting where Sebastien was caring and protective.
The story flows-doesn't skip a beat. I find it very gratifying when an author mixes fantasy with reality. This author helps you visualize human and animal qualities and she brings out the best of both. I highly recommend this author and her books. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Kim has gone on vacation. It's supposed to be a prize in a competition that she's won, a competition that she can't even remember entering. But she's used to that; the pure blood bear shifters are always trying to find their alpha male sons suitable mates with the alpha females and doing things like this as a way for them to meet each other.
It's just that her family has already chosen a member of another well-to-do family for her to mate, and although she doesn't want to, Kim will have to meet him when she gets back from her vacation.
The trouble is she's just met her true mate on vacation. Sebastien Weston. The Captain of the boat that she's touring on.
So it's just as well that he isn't looking for a mate and she's already promised anyway. Isn't it?

Sebastian is one of three brothers that their dad is matching up with their mates by bringing in three women who won this mysterious contest. Sebastian is a control freak captain who's first and only love is the sea and he doesn't want or have room for a mate in his life. Kim is using this vacation as a last hoorah before she is forced to mate with a male she's been betrothed to since birth and has never met. What starts as a fling quickly turns into something much more and both of them have their reasons for it to stay no strings attached, no matter their feelings for one another. This was a great book and I can't wait to read Scott and Mara's story next!!!

The sand, sea and Sebastien YES please
I am a huge fan of Terry's and was so happy when she added to her bear shifters! Kim is a woman that has always been a little wild but responsible and loyal to the wishes of her family. So when her dad says he wants her to marry the bear from the family of one of his high ranking officials, she is willing to sacrifice herself and a real mate to love after one last adventure. A two trip in the Caribbean with all expenses paid and a super sexy sea captain of the ocean tours is just what she needs.
Getting Sebastien to loosen up his reins on control and admit their instant chemistry is going to be harder but Captain,my Captain the passion he was holding back was so worth it for his mate! Love these two and can't wait for Mara's story with her business bear!

Kim and Sebastien story is the second in the Polar Bear Heat Series. It was fun and had a little bit more personal conflict between the couple which is a preference in my reading than the first book. Kim is a New York Lawyer, one of the three women who won an all expenses paid holiday to the Cayman's which none of the women remember entering. Sebastien's dad Sam organised for the women to come to the island because he was hoping they would be mates for his sons. Sebastien is a lot more no nonsense than his younger brother and has trouble relaxing and having adventures. Kim on the other hand loves adventures and wants one more last one before settling down to her family's expectations for her future. Its a nice easy cute read.

I really enjoy this series, which has a perfect balance of likable characters, a world I would love to visit, if not live in, and romance with a little angst and suspense. This book fits right in. I loved it.

This was a great a book, good mix of the romance with the sex. This author has made me a fan of shifter romances and I can't wait to not only read the next installment, but to read everything they have written.
The story continues and somewhat overlaps in time from the first in this series. Mention is made of the first book, but they are each standalone books, so nothing crucial is missed if the first book wasn't read.
They have their unique story about a couple that is fated but each feels that they are unable to be together. They decide to enjoy their time together, short lived as it may be. Wonderful storytelling!

Cute quick story (Steamy but not over the top with erotica)
I am also a writer so I read things to get ideas and you could actually feel the love between these two alphas in this book. I liked the interracial element but just not how the author introduced it into the story. It was slightly weird for an African American woman to call herself "a random black woman"? Why not describe her from the bear's perspective? I just would not be calling myself that in my head no matter what race I am. Healthy criticism aside, this is a really good quick read that will satisfy and then some!

I LOVE this authors work. However, this 2nd book moved way too slow at times. Seemed like it took so long to read through. I think it should have been shortened. Majority of the book was on the boat and it was like a day and night. It got boring and to be honest I skimmed. I usually dont have to with her books but this one I did. I really liked Kim and Sebastian. They are great characters and I think it was the in between stuff that should have been weeded. I dunno. I hope Scott's story is better.

I love your paranormal books. This was a really cute story of how their past and family duties (human and bear) could interfere with true love. I'm glad to see that love found a way. I would have liked to read about them shifting into their bears. I love how he overcomes his fears to protect her even from her family. He's determined to do whatever to pleasure his mate. I can't wait for Mara and Scott's story. Love it!
