When you think what more can author Mallory Monroe pull out of her hat with Reno and Trina...Then "BAMMMMMM" she leaves you with your mouth open, reaching for your strongest drink and screaming "DAMNNNNNNN THOSE GABRINIS ARE GOOD"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Prologue starts off will little Dominique aka Dommi being kidnapped, Lord right then in there I said, whomever is stupid enough to snatch Reno's children not even God Himself will be able to save that person. We see little Dommi being held in a room and watched how another man killed his captor in with his hands. My first thought was please rescue him because I can't take it, if Reno looses this little boy like his first son.
The story begins with Reno being his busy self, running an empire and leading his family. We see the dynamics between his professional life and his business life, nothing has changed much except for Reno is getting older but make no mistake about it, he is not soft and he is more in love with his wife Trina aka Tree more than ever. They have had their ups and downs but they stand strong together. A woman who used to work for Reno, was fired and I do remember her, Amy is her name and I couldn't understand what in the world transpired because she was working for him a very long time. One thing was for sure, Reno didn't want her around him or his wife and that was a problem for Trina because like she told him, her professional business is her business. Trina wanted to hire Amy to help her out and of course Reno blew a gasket which led to Trina storming out on Reno.
We are introduced to Sal and Tommy Gabrini's uncle, Mick Sinatra who is the brother of their mother. If you have read the Gabrini series, you know Sal killed her because she was trying to kill Tommy. Mick doesn't want anything to do with them and they don't want anything to do with him. Interesting dynamic because they are pretty much cut from the same cloth, so it is going to be more interesting when their paths do cross eventually. Mick needs Reno to help him legitimize a couple of more businesses, which Reno doesn't have a problem in doing because their are certain markets he wants to tap into himself. But Reno is still the ever watchful person because he loves for life Sal and Tommy, and Mick knows that.
A war is brewing, Someone tries to kill Trina, someone snatched his son and tried to kill another family member. Reno leads the charge and gets some unexpected help in doing so. Jimmy Mack is steadily growing up and becoming more and more mature, he is truly Reno's son but the one to watch out for will be Dommi and Reno can see he will have his hands full with him LOLL!!!! We get to see briefly Tommy, Sal and Gemma which is always great. And the action is from beginning to end Gabrini style. Reno serving out his loving for his one and only true love Trina and seeing the foundation rocked is heartbreaking and realistic.
This is a fantastic read and the series just keeps getting better, hotter and more dynamic. Author Mallory Monroe plays no games and takes no prisoners in her stories and I am 1-Click fan because of it.

It's All In Or Nothing!!
There can only be one gangster and that's Reno.This is a different kind of feel than what we are use to getting and it's good.We are getting to see a little bit more of the true gangster in Reno and I think it's great to be kinda headed in that direction because we get to see a man who's said I'm tired and I'm not taking anymore bullcrap.We are witnessing a family maturing and coming full circle.We are looking at a marriage that's standing strong and weathering any storm that comes it's way.Trina is definitely Reno's equal in every way and sista girl can hold her own.This is such a really good series that you can't say enough about it and that it's fresh every time you read the next installment.I for one would like to see more of that Gabrini Gangster.Well done a standing ovation for Ms. Monroe!!

Reno and Trina (The Mob Boss Series Book 12)
I love Reno and Trina their love over comes many obstacles and still have happy ending. I like that Mick helped in the kidnapping of Dommi. I don't like that nothing was stating what happen with Lee Jones does he still work at the PaLargio and Fran did she move to France does she still live at the PaLargio. I recommend this to anyone who read Mob books.

A Very Good and Suspenseful Interracial Romantic Thriller
Reno and Trina: In the Shadow of Love (The Mob Boss Series Book 12) is very good and suspenseful interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of four stars. Dominic Gabrini Jr. is kidnapped and his family is frantic to get him back. Reno and Trina have to overcome some horrific obstacles to save their family and their marriage. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good romantic suspenseful thrillers.

OKAY BUT GOOD!
Now I have read eleven books in this series. The writing is at tenth grade level excluding the sex scenes. When you read the books you will understand why I said written by tenth grader. The sex scenes are hot they are on fire. They are good. I love the characters. The plot is interesting and the killing in all the books are off the chain. This author is not afraid to kill off people. I love the series and I will continue to read all the books. Reason I gave it four stars because it is interracial, characters and the plot.

Awesome! I love this book and Reno was a true mob boss in this one! The action and everything he does is for his family and if you hurt one of them, you will pay the consequences! Now, onward to the next book!

Love her books

I really wanted the stuff to hit the fan on Trina and Reno's fairy tale. She came close to making that happen but then turned coat and had Amy spill her guts just like any other cartoons evil villain. The series seems to be hitting a stalling point when it comes to the story. On top of that it seems the big events in previous stories are not even taken into consideration. Like the fact that Trina was gunned down, you would think he say something about her scars or flash back to that when she was in trouble. Something. But nothing then and nothing now.
Nothings really happening just a little bit of fire but not enough to really have you rooting for them to live happily ever after. We need some real drama a real enemy that can hold their own on all fronts and we need them to have mystery on their sides. All this telling and giving up all the detail is lame. Mick just may turn out to be that person but somethings not right with him. Not just that, he seems to be coming at just the right time with just enough pull to make things happen. Can't wait to see just what he gets into. Still wondering though, just how old Dommi is in this one. He was described as being six-seven/eight but he seemed to act as though he was no more then seven or eight years old. Thinking of repeat, I thought Jimmy was shot in the head in one of these, I guess Val can be added on to that list. Not sure what the next one will be but I'm sure this is not all we've seen of Mick.

I doubt if I will ever get tired of reading new installments from this series. Reno and Trina's love continues to get tested. I absolutely love Dommi and Sophia has stolen my heart. I didn't know that Grace and Tommy had divorced and were with other people. I have to go back and read what happened there. If you haven't had a chance to read any of the books from this series, it's a worthwhile investment.

Their living situation is complicated and the kidnapping plot contrived since they spend their time at the estate as the primary home. The women in Reno's life are a never ending parade of opportunist. Every man wants to attract Trina and the kids are collateral damage. Then poor Val ends up in the hospital again. We are alternating the women at this point. The ending was ridiculous. Grandmother?

DON'T MESS WITH RENO!!!!
As always there's action, drama & plenty of laughter...book 12 & still going strong. Reno & Trina have so much chemistry. Reno was shutting them down left & right. I look forward to reading more books in the "Mob Boss" series. Thank you Ms Monroe for this excellent series.

Boy! This one of my favorite.Reno and Trina have a great relationship that can't be broken,it been tried many of times but there love stays strong.This story had my heart racing I couldn't read fast enough.Only a fool would think he could get away with hurting Reno's family,this man ain't no joke.

I love reading about Reno and Trina! The love they have is so strong. My heart was racing so many times while reading this book. The excitement, the thrill, the love, the hate, and that good stuff! I enjoy reading about the Gabrinis! Keep them coming Mallory! Keep them coming!

Another good one
While I am a big fan of this series and really enjoy reading it, I was very much surprised by the editing. I have every book in this series and must say that this is the first time I've experienced really bad editing. Otherwise I thought the storyline was very good.

I can't fathom ever getting bored of this series. I got s love Jones for Reno that won't stop. Drama after drama in this book, somewhat unbelievable at times, and I ENJOYED all of it.
