Such a BitterSweet moment for me... This by far is my favorite series and to see the last book in print is heartbreaking! Anyway SK ended with a BANG... Total Eclipse was HOTT HOTT HOTT, I went through an variety of emotions while holding Darrell and Jerra's hand. Darrell being the alpha strong willed man that he is eventually realized that he could not patch up the holes in his life without the love of his life and his extended family. Jerra being the head strong women she is realized that she also needed to patch up some holes in her heart(life). Alot of questions will be answered; but in true SK form MORE QUESTION are now out there????

The Spain's, Monroe's, Bennett's & La'Croix has become the love of my life, but my heart just opened wider to allow the Pattel's in.. I can't wait to see what type of Love these hardcore Pattel Boys (Hawkins, Lucas, Lorenzo, King) will fall into and WTW these throat cutt brothers Isaac & Joseph will find themselves beating down people, I mean doors to get themselves out of.

It's been a real journey and until next time

All good things must come to an end...

I think this was my favorite book out of the entire Sin City Heat series. In this finale installment the readers get a chance to see everyone together and even a few new family members for this finale curtain call. This book as drama, suspense and of course the signature sexiness SK is known for bringing to her books. I am truly going to miss the Sin City Heat crew but I know that the time has come to say Farwell.... I have enjoyed every single book in this series and I look forward to reading more from SK.. EXCELLENT JOB SK!!!!!

SK. SK. SK..... you made us wait until you were sure that the final book of the SCH Series was worthy.... I am so glad you made us wait. I for one was happy to wait, because I was soo afraid of what might happen. Darrell and Jerra's relationship was hanging in the balance at the end of NGL, I think all of your readers took in a sudden gasp of breath. At the end of the book, you had two teams that were so divided but equally adamant on their feelings on how things should go.
That being said...The book took us through a roller coaster of emotions. Everytime there was an heated argument or altercation.. I had to put my book down. I was just that worried of what would take place.

All in all... I am so proud of my man Darrell. Darrell set aside how HE felt about "the thought of" losing his family and made needed changes in his own life. He waited and let Jerra see for herself, what she was doing to them.

The Spains, Bennets, Monroes, La Croixs and Montgomerys all of there stories feel so real to me. I feel like I know them personally. I really want to know more about Gabby and Jerra's daughter, Giselle.

Skipping on to the Pattels.....Wow..I CAN NOT WAIT for this series to get started. We got just a teaser of how powerful this family is. I loved watching Darrell and Lorenzo. The beginning was quite rocky, but I loved it. If was funny how DJ noticed something about Darrell and Lorenzo before the two adults even realized it.
I'm so ready for HAWK Pattel to make it do what it do. Raven ain't even ready...BUt I AM!!!! LEGGO

Bitter sweet end to this series, but what an ending..
WELL DONE, WELL DONE

Okay let me start by saying that I love SK's books. I'm a really big fan of hers. The Sin City Heat series is my favorites... Up until Book 5. Now don't get me wrong I read 6 and this book. I wasn't really pleased with 6 because it dealt with my least favorite characters mainly Dom and Keshia... Any who, this book was long awaited on my wish list to read because it involved my favorite characters in the series Jerra and Darrell.

Okay now I got this book and started reading and was excited and amped as hell to get into it. But as I went on I got more and less interested. This book as always with sk had drama, twists, and turns in it. But honestly I expected a lot more. Jerra and Darrell dealt with the same issues in this book, so there really wasn't any great big suprises the book was long and kinda drawn out.

I honestly got tried of the whole Roni thing and I just don't understand how she come back an resurface the story. I mean it was an all out resurrection for her basically, and I don't get how Jerra could just invite her over like that either when she was basically the rue of her problems...

Don't get me wrong it was a good read, I rated a 4 because it just left something out for me and my expectations for this book was extremely high. But all and all at the end it left room for new beginnings of series to come for her.

They Eclipse was at it again!

Darrell was not thinking of his actions, and end up hurting Jerra over Roni. Just not in the way she thinks, the funny thing is both of their pass have some of the same Lewin it. Now the Slutmonkey Tina was up to her old tricks, and my new boothang Hawk is Dee family. Me Booboo Kitty showed her messy tail up, we must stay tuned. It was a few new faces, but you'll have to read it yourself to get all the tea lol.

All That

This book was a great way to end this series. I love to read thoroughly written and complete series and this one is one of my favorites. Don't forget to include Justin's story when you write about the Pattel's. Until your next book, I think Ill re read the series...

It was about time Darrell

It just seemed as though Darrell took a long time to accept who he was. He and Jerra went through so much at times it was nearly too much. I gave Jerra props when she took Darrell back when he ran off to see Roni. That would have been my exit strategy. This time she stood her ground and made him grovel. His father and Uncle were much too evil. I was sad about Tina. This did not feel like the end, as too many stories were left hanging in regards to the Pattel's and Tina's final outcome. Happily, Jerra finally got closure over Darrell's strong connection to Roni. Darrell and Jerra were finally able to have closure and build a stronger family bond as a family.... Good read. Nice conclusion.

Hated for it to end!

I fell in love with the Vegas cast of characters just as I did with the Pattels in their series. But since I did read in reverse order, it was a treat getting the full story on events that were referenced or hinted at when reading about the Pattels. I don't know if I have a favorite couple, but they all brought something desirable and unique to the table! And I'm so glad we get cameos later on to catch up on how they're all doing! Whether by bloodline or a genuine connection, family was the underlying theme throughout and it was a beautiful thing to witness!

Not everything that glitters is gold...

My heart broke for Darrell. He has lived through so much, but Tina was evil. I'm glad he was able to get some closure. I felt Jerra overreacted when he called Roni, but that was the break through he needed to face his issues. Amazing series.

S.K. Hardy is back with her last installment in the Sin City Heat series. This last story is what I like to call a bridge story that leads into the next series involving the infamous Pattels. I honestly didn’t even know where to begin with writing this review. I even reached out to S.K. personally to tell her about the rollercoaster of emotion this story brought forth. I love when a story really makes you think and life imitates art. If you have ever lived or experienced heartbreak, betrayal, or just been in love this story is for you.

Darrell Monroe has come a long way but not far enough. His pass demons involving the abandonment of his mother and father have come back to haunt him in a big way. It’s a saying in the African-American community, “you got issues.” Well to say Darrell has issues is putting it lightly. What do you do when the people who birthed you leave you? And all you ever wanted was to be loved but when you find real love it’s snatched from you?

Since his hard upbringing and past Darrell has found his soul mate in Jerra. They have a beautiful life together and child but Darrell can’t seem to let Jerra in to every part of his life. No man is an island and Darrell is just about to find that out. This story is gritty and when I say that it is very real and in your face. S.K. shows you that marriage isn’t always easy and sometimes you don’t always like the person you love. Fans of this coupe brace yourselves because when I tell you they go through it they do. You may think its black and white but this story is told in the “gray” area. You don’t know who to side with because everyone is hurting. I loved that S.K. went into so much detail about Darrell’s pass and his struggle with abandonment.

Remember I mentioned the infamous Pattels? Well readers you get a healthy dose of who Lorenzo and Tina were and who they are. Tina, Darrells mother is a trip one thing I will say that she is no victim. And I hope in this next installment the author ties up some loose ends involving her secrets. Because in this story I felt a little let down that all wasn’t revealed. There were moments in this story that I had a “aha” moment it all made sense. All the hints from her previous stories were brought to life in this one. I don’t want to give too much a way but this story is really packed with so many characters and everyone has a secret and agenda. Who you think you know you really don’t.

I will say that in this story Jerra annoyed me a little especially with Roni. I wanted to say were you really thinking or is this just hormones? Oh yes readers Roni is back although I wish she would stay gone. Because this story is so long at times I wanted less information about the day to day living and more of the heat this author brings. i.e. less of she went to work and the case and more on how the healing took place. At what point I did ask how did we get here because it was 7 months later and I wondered what happed in that time frame? We were told things happened and I would have liked to see more of it then being told. I would have loved to see more on how Darrell forgave, the kids, his relationship with his father, the death. I thought the Darrell/Jerra forgiveness should have been more than sex scenes. Of course as always I wanted more from the ending it was a lot of unanswered questions but readers we get our h.e.a. and the ending really is bitter sweet. I very much so look forward to the next series. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Total Eclipse, the much anticipated last installment in S.K. Hardy’s Sin City Heat series was an explosive conclusion to this series. Last readers remembered, Darrell Monroe made a colossal error in judgment that caused his wife Jerra, to make a decision that would impact their family. In the midst of this crisis, Darrell encounters a sibling and family he was not expecting. To say he is experiencing turmoil is an understatement. One thing is constant; he refuses to allow ANYTHING to take his family from him. As he works to save his family, he must also face his past and come to terms with his parents’ actions. Will Darrell and Jerra survive this setback? Readers will need to download the last installment in the SCH series to find out. It promises to be a drama-filled page turner.

Ms. Hardy again did a great job crafting this latest story and it did not disappoint. The character development was on point where readers will experience Darrell’s pain and see his struggle to maintain control. Readers will laugh, cry and yes become ticked at the actions of family. Readers will see the couple’s efforts to repair and rebuild the trust they have for each other, while Darrell faces off with the father who is a powerful and dangerous man. Readers all know Darrell is never one to back down and that alpha male in him proves he is a force to be reckoned with and let’s not forget his crew, Marcus and Dom. The bond Darrell has with them as well as the new one he forges with his brother, displays he has people in his corner. Readers will love this last installment and although we hate to see it end, it went out with a bang! Hats off to SK Hardy, you have another hit on your hands.

OK I think I finally have my thoughts together. What can I say about this series..... it is by Far my Favorite! It was a fortuitous discovery from a recommendation from Amazon. Buried Secrets came up in my feed and the rest is Blissful history. I have been on this journey with Author Sk from the first word and She has Never disappointed with any of her books. Total Eclipse was a perfect ending to this Amazing series. SK made us love the Brothers 3 and the loves of their life. Marcus and Leesha.... Dom and Keisha and Darrell aka Eclipse aka Big D and Jerra feel more like family than characters... and then there is the infamous Angel.... Alpha undefined.... and his perfect mate Nikki..... Sk we can't wait to take this new journey with you in the Pattels and of course all of your other great works. Thank you for being a superb Scribe and for loving us enough to share your creations with us. On a more personal note, I have been introduced to some Awesome Awesome women and the connection that brought us together was the love of your gift. We anxiously await your next Fabulous read......

Again, this is the best of the Sin City Heat series. It's really the only one I needed to reread before reading the second book of Ceecee and Lorenzo. However I will skim the first of their bookd. As I've read Raven's and Hawk's books several times, I don't need to reread them.

This one of the first Sin Series Books that I reviewed.. After rereading it, I still think it's a 5. This is the best of the series including Hawk and Raven.

This book was so full of all of the characters from every book, I'm going to re-read the first books about Marcus, Dominick, Darrell and their wives. That shows how really good this book is. I'm afraid of Darrell finding out about his father and uncle and mother. Darrell has had more than his share of unhappiness. If course, I just want them to get theirs without Darrell knowing. It would hurt so many people even those who know Isaac and Joseph for what they are. I forgot about Justin. He should be a Pattel. Just WOW!

It's more full of sex than I remember but it is a part of their personalities. I'm ready for a book about Lorenzo. It just takes so long between books.

If I could give this book more stars, I would. SK, you did that with this one. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book!! I loved Darrell's strength and cockiness, his loyalty to his family and friends, his protectiveness and his red hot passion (OMG the passion). He loves hard and I loved that about him. And Ms. Jerra?! She was definitely made for Darrell and the two of them were EXPLOSIVE together. Trust and believe when I say I could not put this book down! From page 1 to page 373 I was right there with Jerra and Darrell in the ups and downs and the making ups :). I hated to get to the last page, but am happy to know that I will get to see Darrell(Jerra), Marcus(Aleesah),Dom(Keisha), Angel(Nikki) again when the Pattels stories come out. If you have NOT read the Sin City Heat Series, then you don't know what you're missing! GO GET THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, I promise you won't be disappointed!

SK, you rock and YOU DID THAT THANG with this series!!

Another great book in the series. Darrell and Jerra's marriage was finally back on track but one phone call changed everything and slammed these two were right back where they started. Not only did they have to deal with marital trust issues, but more family drama showed up at their doorstep. Out of all of the couples in this series, Jerra and Darrell just can't seem to catch a break. They fight hard but love even harder. There was no way Darrell was walking away from Jerra and he showed her in more ways than one, letting her know he was in complete control. He was alpha male all day and I loved every minute of it. Not only did this series deliver drama, mystery, dysfunctional families and romance but there was a good amount of humor that had tears rolling down my cheeks. There were times when Darrell came off too strong and macho for me, hence my 4 star instead of 5 star rating. These books are still going strong and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Another hit in the Sin City Heat series!

Like many of the reviewers, I've read all of the books in this series. After I complete each one, I'm left feeling a bit disappointed that I'm not actually related to the fictional characters.

My one problem with Total Eclipse was my lack of understanding about Tina, the main male character's, Darrell's, mother. Usually an author lets the reader become omnipresent by letting us alone glimpse into the hearts and minds of the characters. Not so with Tina. I struggled to understand her motivations, struggles and complex layers of lies. Perhaps SK wanted the readers as confused as Darrell; and I was.

In the end notes of the book, SK mentions she may pursue writing more about Angelo La Croix. If you're counting votes, please count 1000 from me. Favorite book boyfriend!

This book was so worth the wait! Excellent way to end a series, and to get us excited about the new Pattel series. More fine men? I'm here for it!

Jerra worked all my nerves in this book. I could understand her being upset about the phone calls, but to put Darrell out was so extreme. I kept screaming at my Kindle, 'That man don't want Roni!' Why it took so long for her to realize that I will never understand. I'm glad she finally got her mind right.

I did have some questions at the end: what did Tina want to tell Darrell about Isaac and Joseph and is it true? Is Jordan a good guy or a bad guy? What happened to Isaac's first wife? I guess I'll have to wait for the new series to get my answers.

Well done, SK, well done.

Updated review:
I have been a fan of the Sin City Heat series from jump. I found all the previous books to have a stimulating plot that took me on a journey. This being my second read of the book to prepare for the Pattel series, I can say that I understand where Jerra was coming from a lot more. At first I thought it was kind of silly for her to make a mountain out of a mole hill, but I guess her insecurities got the best of her. So I can see how that conflict was feasible within the plot. I enjoyed catching up with Darrell and his family of course as there was some issues left unsettled from the previous book. I look forward to the rest of the Pattel series.

Wasn't what I was expecting.

I enjoyed the last book in SCH series, but I don't know why I feel like something was missing? Maybe because Darrell and Jera fell out in this book over the same thing they fell out over in previous books so it wasn't really any new drama. It was a good read, but it was honestly like watching a movie you've watched already in the past but haven't seen in a long time so you watch it again only to discovery new characters that either got added or characters that were there that you didn't notice before lol. I give it 4 stars

Simply Amazing!!!

I really don't know where to start? SK is on of my favorite authors. She really makes a story come to life! Everything she writes is so detailed you can actually see it playing out like a movie. There were so many things revealed in this book. We were finally introduced to Darrell's father and his brother Renzo. I cannot wait for that story WhitEhaven and Hawk, that is going to be too hot!! Keep them coming SK. I'm a fan for life.

Awesome read. The Darrell and Jerra story was amazing, even through the ups and downs they were able to realize that their love for each other was undeniable. As for Darrell he has a lot to figure out regarding his father and uncle are concerned. I definitely recommend this book and the complete series. I can't wait to read The Pattels.
