Eden's Pleasure and Antonia's Bargain, 2 storys together. Brilliant.
(Edens Pleasure) 3.5 stars....focus's on Gervase and Eden, The twins father Viscount Harcourt was her guardian so she grew with them but Eden and Gervase fell in love. Manipulated and lied to by Viscount Harcourt Eden was married off to an older man while Gervase joined the military. Now 8 years later and she is widowed and meets up with the twins again, but Gervase's father tries to seperate him from Eden again.
(Antonias Bargain).5 stars..Antonia is wealthy and pressured by her family to get married. She is a virgin with a fear of sex because of what she witnessed with her parents. She dons mens clothes and enters The Pleasure House in the hope of seeing her potential suitors as they really are and hopefully find one that she can have a marraige of convenience with . Gideon's wife has commited suicide and his father wants him back on the marraige mart for an heir. Gideon usually only beds men but when he meets Antonia and aids her in pretending to be male around London, he realises that she may be the only woman to arouse him.
Loved both these books but Antonias Bargain is my favourite. Wasn't mad about Gervase and Eden and thought that Gideon stole the story from them as he was a far more interesting character. But for the erotic content alone it is well worth the read.
OMG, I loved Gideon and think it should be made law that every woman have a Gideon of her own. Imagine my surprise when Gorgeous Peter(Simply Sinful) was his lover, as if I wasn't excited enough. There are some wicked hot sexy scenes in this story. My only fault with KP is the abrupt endings in her books, (I dont mind when there is another in the series) but I would have loved an epilogue here. So wanted to know more about Gideon, and did Anthonia get over all her fears? I think Gideon pops up briefly in "Simply Shameless" when he brings Philip to the Pleasure House.
This is my favourite KP story so far, and did I mention Gideon???? This book is VERY EXPLICIT with a lot of MF/MM/MMF action.

ok, I've only read the 2nd book, Antonia's Bargain. But I absolutely loved it. Antonia dresses up like a man to learn about men, instead she finds Gideon who is more than willing to teach her.
The biggest plus is that its not repetitious and the fun isn't over too soon. The entire book is enticing, yet teases you with both more story and more sex.

The first story, Eden's Pleasure is not as intriguing as the 2nd one, but it has its merits. Gervase, the twin brother of Gideon, has always loved Eden, but after an indiscretion during their youth, she was forced to marry an elderly man, while he entered the military. They both feel abandoned due to the manipulation of Gervase's father, but Gideon brings the two lovers together. By some very unconventional means.
I really liked the angst that played a greater part at the end, for that I will rate this story a 4 (instead of a 3). It was not that enticing and somehow, I felt like something was missing.
I really liked this. The story was only 88 pages and oddly enough it didn't seem that condensed. Needless to say the story was mostly sex (and it was hot! hot! hot!) but it did have a plotline. Eden was married to an abusive elderly man and had a horrible marriage. She's always been in love with Gervase and is finally free to marry him. His father doesn't want them to because she may be barren but they do anyway. I never felt that they were in love. The twins are twenty-nine, blond and blue-eyed. Eden's got black hair and green eyes.
I felt this short story was more about Gideon than Gervase. Gideon's married to Caroline, a masochistic woman and he just can't deal with it. They have a bad, sexless marriage but he can't divorce her because she'd blackmail him over a secret of his that she knows. I would have liked for this story to have been longer. I find Caroline interesting and would have liked to know more about her and her background.
I grade this story an A.
ANTONIA'S BARGAIN:
This 126 page sequel wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I find Antonia's not wanting to get married or have sex because of her parent's bad marriage silly and odd. I don't find her and Gideon's 'love' believable at all. I like both characters though I like Gideon more, probably because I know more about him. They have the suicide of someone close to them in common.
I wasn't impressed with the sex scenes, which was mostly oral sex. I'm not sure why Gideon wanted to marry her. I didn't sense a love connection. I also didn't like Antonia dressing like a boy.
This story gets a B from me.

3 and 3.5 stars for two erotic regency romances with a lot of sex scenes.
3 stars for EDEN’S PLEASURE. Pretty good. Definitely turned me on. Almost more sex than story. Eden grew up with twins Gideon and Gervase. She and Gervase fell in love but his father was Eden’s guardian and forced Eden to marry an older man. Gervase left for military service. After Eden’s abusive husband dies, she reconnects with Gervase. His father again tries to separate them.
Data: Story length: 86 pages. Number of sex scenes: 11, includes rear door activity. Copyright: 2005.
3.5 stars for ANTONIA’S BARGAIN. It was pretty good. A little different. Gideon’s wife committed suicide. He likes sex with both men and women. Antonia is a virgin and afraid of sex because of her parents’ problems. She is wealthy and her guardian insists she find someone to marry or he will pick someone for her. She dresses as a man in order to frequent places men go so she can see her potential suitors when they are not putting on a show for women. She meets Gideon at a pleasure house. He offers to help her dress better as a man and take her to various male places. He also wants to seduce her. Sexual activities include two men together, group sex and rear door activity.
Data: Story length: 127 pages. Number of sex scenes: 9. Copyright: 2007.
DATA FOR BOTH: Swearing language: moderate. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Setting: 1815 and 1816 England. Genre: erotic regency romance.

The first story "Eden's Pleasure" was not that enjoyable to me. Gervase was far too domineering and possessive for my taste. The second related story, "Antonia's Bargain" was far better. Gidean was far more human.
