Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream. Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.
These stories were well written. It made me laugh, made me cry, it also made me realize that people have problems just like everyone else.. it’s the friends and families that are the glue to hold it all together. Dylan & Conner’s story was short. Buy otherwise it’s an awesome read. I’d most likely read them again.

This review is from: Let Love Live (The Love Series Book 5) (Kindle Edition)
The first part of this book, was about Dylan and His first love Shane, I loved how we got to see how much they loved each other, and got to know Shane, he took a piece of my heart. I hurt so much for Shane and all the physical, and verbal abuse he suffered from his Dad, he was so horrible not only to his sons, but his wife too, I wanted to jump through my kindle and hurt the man, for the way he treated his family. It brought tears to my eyes, when Alex's brother beat Shane up, and said horrible things to him, we now know why Shane took his own life, he didn't think he had a choice, broke my heart. When Conner and Dyan met for the first time, (he owns a gym) I loved how they were both checking each other out, they had an instant connection. Conner just moved to town, wants to find the right guy and settle down, Dylan, didn't think he would ever be able to give his heart to anyone else, that is until the storm name Conner blew into his life, and turned it upside down. I fell in love with them, and so will you. I have never read a book like this before, their love story is amazing. I was so happy for Dylan, such a sweet guy, he deserved to be happy, so glad he found Conner. You will love this book, it was worth more than 5 stars, the ending will melt your heart, and leave you wanting more. The whole series is so good, so if you haven't read any of the other books, you should, they are the best, so don't waste anymore time get to reading, you won't be disappointed. Love Conner and Dylan.

This book really is about healing, Melanie, and Bryan have a great story. Two people with different issues going on in their lives, learn about trust, and open their hearts, and decide love is worth everything to them. Loved all her roommates, and her best friend / sister Maddy she is the best. Her Mom Lucy best Mom ever. Great book, you will love it. The whole series is amazing.

Maddy and Reid what a great story. My heart broke for Maddy, how do you ever move on with life after losing both of your parents, Reid opened up his heart to her and helped her heal, and she helped him deal with the loss of his brother. Their love was magical, lots of twists and turns, but neither one of them ever gave up. Their marriage, and the birth of their son Braden, touched my heart, and made me cry. This is a great love story it will melt your heart.

I couldn't wait to read this book, I loved Lucy from the beginning when we were first introduced to her in ( Let Love In), she is so amazing, and the best Mom ever. This book warmed my heart, their love story had me in tears ( happy ones), the love between them, was so powerful, it had me crying, and smiling, in different parts. Their was an instant attraction between them from the beginning, and neither of them could forget the other. Love the bond between her and Maddy, she always loved her like a daughter, and treated her like one too. Linda is a great best friend, and has always been there for her, even before Melanie was born. And the donation Evan made to help make a little girl with cancer dreams come true, warmed my heart it was so amazing. I'm sure Jimmy is looking down from heaven right now, so happy the Lucy found such a wonderful guy to share her life with. I definitely Recommend this book it will touch your heart.
I'm still working through all the books, but loving it so far!
Let Love Live (Love #5) - M/M I loved this book!
I recommend you have a box of tissues, because it is guaranteed to make you cry. The story starts out with Dylan and Shane as teenagers, struggling with their feelings for each other. Shane's life at home is a nightmare, and his journey will break your heart. Dylan's guilt over losing Dylan leaves him dead inside, keeping everyone at a distance.
Eight years later, Connor comes into Dylan's life and works to bring Dylan back to life. Dylan's guilt makes it incredibly difficult, but Connor does not give up. It was wonderful to see Connor breaking down Dylan's walls and fully enjoying life and love again.
Even though most of the characters are mentioned in the previous books in the series, this book can be read as a standalone. However, I am sure that you will love this book so much, you will want to read the Melissa's other books! This is the only M/M in the series.

Let Love Be (Love #4) This was a very emotional read for me. Lucy has not been able to move on from her dead husband for the last 18 years. Evan is dedicated to his work and has refused to let anyone get close to him. They've both been alone for a long time, but when they meet, there is an instant connection. As they both learn to let another person into their lives, they struggle with letting go of the guilt they carry. Evan is such a sweet and thoughtful man! I totally understand how Lucy was able to fall in love with him.
This is the fourth book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys an emotional and mature love story.

Let Love Heal (Love #3) Melissa, you made me cry again! Melanie is a such a relatable character for most women. We tend to have issues with our looks that can make us insecure, even though our significant others don't see them or have a problem with them. Bryan is such a sweetheart and my heart broke for him when he learned of Melanie's betrayal. I also felt bad for Melanie and her lack of self esteem, but once she worked on herself, things started to get better. I loved the way Melanie and Bryan worked through their issues. It didn't feel rushed, it felt real. Highly recommended NA read!

To start you got Maddy and Reid's 2 college kids that try there hardest not to fall for each. Maddy who lost her parents young to live with an aunt who wasn't really there for her also passes. Maddy then ends up living with her best friend Mel and her mom Lucy her become her family. Still feeling she doesn't belong now going with her best friend to college. She tries to find her way. Till she meets Reid cocky arrogant and a loner. He's running from a past he wishes to forget till Maddy makes him change his mind and both world change in Let love live and let love stay. Let love heal and let love shine Mel and Bryans story these 2 are adorable from the beginning but they have to face a few obstacles to see if there strong enough to be together. Let love be Lucy's and Evans story emotional rollercoaster between the two I don't who got felt a worse hand. In the end I'm glad happiness wins. Let love live The most heartbreaking and emotional story yet. Dylan and Connors story. But it's Dylan's story that break your heart . Shane his first love, best friend and Reid's brother. Just have to say uglycry and I loved there story. Such a great outstanding boxset
Let Love In is about Maddy and Reid. They both carry some heavy baggage, but their chemistry can't be denied.
Let Love Stay is the continuation of Reid and Maddy's story. Together, they can make peace with their pasts.
Let Love Heal is about Melanie and Bryan. Melanie has issues with being perfect. Bryan sees that she is perfect for him, but she doesn't believe it.
Let Love Shine checks in with Maddy and Reid and all that has been going on with them.
Let Love Be is about Lucy and Evan. Lucy is also known as Momma and is the mother to Melanie. Even is the brother of Reid's stepfather. Great story and chemistry between them!
Let Love Live is about Dylan, Shane and Connor. This book starts with Dylan and Shane both realizing that they are not only best friends, but also both gay and in love. Shane commits suicide because of all the abuse in his life. Dylan never wants to love again. Connor and Dylan meet, and there is plenty of chemistry, but Dylan doesn't know what to do.
I really wanted to like these books, and I tried really hard. I was excited to get the box set for .99 since they'd been on my to read list for a while. I actually only read 1 through 3.5. I probably won't finish the rest. I felt like I should have enjoyed them more since the ratings were so high, and I don't think they were poorly written, I guess the story just wasn't for me. i read the first book, and found the characters somewhat annoying how they would overreact to things. Example...she didn't answer her phone so she must not want me anymore, or...he wasn't home when I stopped by unannounced, so he must have left me! A little too dramatic. I don't normally read new adult type books, so I guess I'm not used to the 18 year old college drama. After the first book, I continued but found myself skimming through the latter half of the second and third books, so no point in reading the rest I guess. Nothing against these books, but just not my thing.
Absolutely fell in love with this series. I loved the authors writing style. Taking the current and interweaving the past gives the reader an amazing perspective on the characters. I also loved the fact the the characters are so related you get to see all of their futures play out.
I loved each and every book in this series. There was a whole lot of love and togetherness in these books. Every one found there soul mates. They stole by each other in good times and bad. The only person I didn't like was Reid and Shanes' dad. Very nasty man. Other than that little tidbit, great books. I recommend these books to all romance readers.
