Hello!
I wrote The Twelve Dates of Christmas, You Had Me at Merlot and Catch Me If You Cannes. Hope you like them. You look super-nice today.

Oh, here's the official bio:

Lisa Dickenson was born in the wrong body. She was definitely meant to be Beyonce. Despite this hardship, she grew up in Devon attempting to write her own, completely copyright-infringing versions of Sweet Valley High, before giving Wales a go for university, and then London a go for the celeb-spotting potential. She's now back in Devon, living beside the seaside with her husband and forcing cream teas down the mouths of anyone who'll visit. She is sadly still not Beyonce.

After an exciting first part to Catch Me If You Cannes, I was very eager to continue the next part!

Jess had been feeling on top of the world – she’d had the best night out with Bryony, making lots of fabulous new friends, and she’d MET A BOY! Now, all of a sudden, her carefully constructed (if slightly exaggerated) facade is about to come tumbling down. She’s had a taste of how the other half live and she’s not ready to give it up just yet – especially if it means also giving up Leo. But how long can Jess and Bryony continue pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes before they’re in too deep?

We are again reunited with the fabulous Jess and Bryony, continuing their whirlwind journey out in Cannes! I was so excited to be reunited with both Jess and Bryony, they make me laugh and smile constantly, and being back in their lives, catching up with their activities and what they’re up to in this installment was like meeting up with my best friends – full of laughter, fun, embarrassing moments and times that you will never forget!

In particular I especially enjoyed reading about Jess and her parts, like Jess I really loved Leo and oh how I wanted them to be together forever!! I love a good romance! I constantly looked forward to the scenes with Jess and Leo and I liked getting to know Leo more in this one too….wow he’s handsome and swoon-worthy!

I had a WONDERFUL afternoon reading this in the sunshine in my garden (and wishing I was abroad with the girls!), so whether you’re staying at home or going away on a sunny holiday, grab a drink and enjoy jumping back into this fabulously entertaining read for the summer!

Sunny Cannes, Lisa and Bryony, welcome back!

After arriving in Cannes in the first part of the series, the two best friends are settling in there. And how they are settling! Exploring more and more of Cannes and what it has on offer! And not only views, oh no, but yachts, bars, tourists and DJ-ing Paris Hiltons...

Jess, Bryony, Leo, Harvey, Richard and Co., they were so damned and utterly likeable! But the highlights of this part must have been the trip to Monaco (casino! Formel1!, Palace...! I must stop or I'll start crying with jealousy at all the sights and good weather and money won in casino. I LOVE casinos.), losing glasses and then buying new ones, in the most over - priced shops in the world when you credit card is maxed up totally, and of course all the scenes with Jess and Leo doing their very awkward flirting, and saying all the things you shouldn't say on a date - but it was all so genuine and honest, and I just wanted to hug them to my respectable bosom, kiss them on their heads and assure them everything is going to be OK.

I absolutely adored the awkward conversations made by Jess and Leo, they were hilarious, and oh my gosh, I am so guessing what's the problem, haha! But oh well, carpe diem and all the other things, right? Because yes, we have a little more of Jess and Leo in this second instalment, and OH. MY. WORD but they team up together so well! They are so cute, and so shy, and they say the funniest things, and everything between them seems so real and honest, the glances, the brushing against each other , light touching... Absolutely adorable!

If you are in need of sun and good humour, than absolutely try this story. It's again written in this exceptional, only - Lisa - can - write - so - style, full of heart, warmth and good feelings. The characters continue to be the perfect characters, the most adoring, enjoyable people ever, and they feel absolutely genuine in what they do and say.

Can you say? That yes, I totally, freakingly love the series! It's funny, it's flirty, and it's full of surprises and hilarious situations. It has the best characters ever invented, the greatest friendship and crazy family - it's an absolute MUST READ, so please don't wait, just download the story and thank me later for the recommendation.

But Lisa, next time when you're researching locations for your books, can you please take me with you? Pretty please? I will be brave and will be carrying your bags...

Thank you to Little Brown for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review

So following on from being introduced to Jess and Bryony last week in Part One of Lisa Dickenson's wickedly funny Catch Me If You Cannes.

Today I'm talking about Part 2, The girls are still having the time of their lives in Cannes, they are also still bending the truth about what they actually do for a living but hey it's only a teeny little white lie, they don't matter? Do they?!

Part 2 is straight away downright funny, the girls blag their way in to the party as the daughters of Danny De Vito (if you have read Part One you will know that this may have raised an eyebrow or two), miraculously they get in but our intrepid pair fall in to one mishap after the other, with some enjoyably cringe worthy results.

On a serious note there is some hot romance with Jess meeting up with fellow crepe lover Leo, he is lovely, he needs to be in the book lots more!!!!!!! Also Bryony is still sniffing out some dirty gossip on the celebs who are in town, she uncovers something that is a lot more sinister, something that could thoroughly spoil the girls dream trip.

CMIYC is once more a brilliant, fun read, Lisa really knows her audience inside and out, high five for mentioning Pinterest!!!! This is an enjoyable, summery read and yay! there are still two more parts to read!!

We’re back with Jess and Bryony and, after they’ve wangled their way out of a pretty sticky situation, Part 2 is all about the lurrvve.

Leo continues to prove himself to be pretty much the perfect match for Jess. Their playful conversations and banter make for comfortable reading and left me with a soppy smile on my face. I loved Leo’s obvious awe of Jess’ personality and excitement at the sights around her, and their romance seems to be on the right track until Bryony appears to make a startling discovery.

Now the mystery factor has been jacked up and I’m drumming my fingers in anticipation of Part 3, hoping that Bryony’s journalistic instincts are wrong!

I fell in love with Lisa Dickenson's brilliant novels when I read her hilarious You Had Me At Merlot for Novelicious last summer, followed by The Twelve Dates of Christmas in the lead up to the festive season. Both started out as digital serials, but I am glad that I read them in full as it would've been agony to have to wait between each amazing part for the next instalment to come out. Lisa is one of those authors that completely pulls her readers into the story and doesn't let them go until that final page, and with Catch Me If You Cannes she has waved her magic typing fingers again.

Perfectly timed for the summer that is upon us (or, you know, what passes for summer in Britain) Lisa's latest novel, as the title may give away, is set amid the heat and excitement of Cannes, which is brimming with celebrities for the annual film festival.

Our main protagonist, Jess, is neither a famous face nor one of the rich jet-setters that harbour their yachts ashore of the glistering French town, but luckily for her she has a journo friend who is invited to spend some time in a not-very-glamorous hotel that is still close enough to all the film festival action. Not that Bryony has much sway with the organisers, mind, as the gossip magazine she works for isn't exactly a well-respected or even known news outlet, but it gets them to coastal town and Jess figures that is enough.

After all, the place is awash with glamorous people and the odds of bumping into a celebrity, literally preferably, surely are high?

I know I have mentioned this before, but as it was more evident than ever it bears repeating: Lisa is unbelievably funny! As soon as I dug into the novel she had me snorting at her hilarious and wacky imagination and the crazy escapades her main character managed to get herself into. Only a few pages in there was a scene that I found too good not to share, so I Tweeted and Instagrammed the quote (as you do), but I soon realised I probably should not do that or I would be sharing the whole book digitally as there was something laugh-out-loud funny on practically every single page.

Jess was a wonderfully likeable main character and even if her decisions weren't always the brightest ones as a reader you can't help but love her and root for her – especially in the men department. Because as if celebrities and sunshine galore isn't enough, there are also a few very swoon-worthy men (who I imagined to be topless for the duration of the novel, even if it didn't fit the story entirely), some unexpected intrigue and excitement and generous lashings of Nutella. Yes, Nutella takes centre stage within Catch Me If You Cannes. I've had toast with this scrumptious hazelnut-chocolate spread for breakfast for the past two weeks and I only just realised where this sudden craving has come from!

Catch Me If You Cannes is a stonkingly good summer read and one that needs to make its way onto your kindle for the holiday season.

On a side note, I read the novel when it was 20 degrees weather in London...in April. Coincidence? I think not. Lisa Dickenson is clearly magic and can bring summer to England with the sheer power of her writing pen*

*reading this book does not guarantee any actual sunshine, but there will be imaginary rays aplenty as you'll be transported to a tropical location that may or may not be in a universe where gay Sherlock and gay Moriarty are an actual thing.

After the first part of Catch me if you Cannes I knew I had to continue reading. For the story just to end on a cliff hanger was torture - Well done Lisa you had me hooked!

This part just like the first is lough out loud funny. There are some brilliant one liners and the pace of the story is perfect. I have really started to get a good sense of the characters and find them endearing and genuine.

Jess and Bryony are still loving Cannes, getting out of the situation they were in at the hotel, (Can't say too much as if you haven't read the first I don't want it spoilt for you!) was one of the funniest things I have read in ages! I particularly loved what followed with the glasses and how Jess had to go shopping for some the next day, still being blind as a bat and broke! Shopping in designer shops when broke is a killer!

During this part of Catch me if you Cannes, we get to find out more about Leo and Harvey, I am really beginning to love these two, I agree that there is something suspicious with the two of them but I can't just put my finger on it! I really enjoyed reading about their trip to Monaco, from visiting myself last year I felt I had been transported back there and was with the four of them in the casino and having a slap up lunch. I also remember the palace...Anyone who has been there will understand what a trek it is to get to, up that massive hill!!! Unfortunately when I visited I was not lucky enough to win any money in the casino!

The book is just getting better and better in my opinion and I cannot wait to continue reading it, especially with the bombshell that has just been dropped! Lisa what are you doing to us???

This is a must read this summer, you will love the characters and love the story line, anyway I'm off now to continue this wonderful series.

I would like to thank the publisher for sending this in exchange for an honest review.

In Part 1 of Catch Me If You Cannes, we are introduced to Jess and Bryony, two best friends who are in Cannes for the film festival. Jess and Bryony have concocted a few teeny white lies to fit in with the glamorous new friends they have made and Jess had met the lovely, yacht-owning Leo.

I loved Part 1 of the book as it was a lot of fun - and Part 2 is no different. Jess likes Leo and although they don't know that much about each other (yet), they're having a great time together. I really like the chemistry between Jess and Leo; it's fun and flirty but so natural too. The pair have an ease about them, as though they have known each other forever and I really hope things work out well for them. I get the feeling Leo is keeping something quite significant back from Jess and I'm looking forward to delving into Part 3 to find out what this may be!

As well as the chemistry between Jess and Leo, I'm really enjoying the strong friendship of Jess and Bryony. They're quite different in personality, but they work and obviously care about each other a lot. The have so much fun together (their conversations are so funny!) but you know that if either of them needed a cuddle or a good cry, the other would be there instantly to offer support (and wine).

So far, Catch Me If You Cannes has been an amusing read and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

This story is just getting better and better. After enjoying Part 1 immensely, with the lovely friends Jess and Bryony arriving at Cannes and mingling with the stars, this second part we discover a bit more about Leo and Harvey. Leo seems like the perfect match for Jess, they really connect and I loved reading about their interactions. They were really cute together. But Lisa Dickenson leaves us with a huge cliff hanger in this part and I can't stop thinking about what is going on.

Lisa is creating a great story that is making me want to forget about everything else. I feel like I'm in Cannes with them. And in this part we also get to go to Monaco. Montecarlo sounds so glamorous and movie like. I can't wait to visit for myself!

If you are still doubting about starting this serialised novel, stop doubting right now and get it! I guarantee laughs, a stunning setting, lovable characters and romance. What else can you ask for?

Diving into part 3 right now, I can't wait to find out how the story continues!

Well I just had to continue reading on for part 2 of Lisa's after being left on quite the awkward cliffhanger.

I think I may have even enjoyed the second part more than the first. Bryony and Jess are really getting into the swing of Cannes life. Jess in particular is having a great time making new friends and brushing shoulders with top celebs! And she has met a very cute boy called Leo. They are both loving the experience of enjoying life the way the other half live and they have no intention of giving it up yet.

Lisa's stories are always so feel good and they are the perfect escape when you're sitting on a crowded train with the rain pelting down outside. And of course she had me smiling and laugh in the face of the gloomy day and train journey.

We get to read more of Jess and Leo in this part of the story and I so love their romance. It's cute and innocent and they say funny things to one another. However Lisa drops a twist in this romance tale and I now have to know what happens!

See you at the end of Part Three!

This is another amazing part to the Catch Me If You Cannes book series! It's literally laugh out loud and full of everything that a light hearted summer read should be. It's so much fun to find out more about the characters on this wonderful getaway (that I actually feel like I'm on too!) I'm struggling to find the words to describe how much I love these books so I will just say the Lisa Dickensen has quickly become my favourite author of all time. I highly recommend this series to anyone because once you read one, you won't be able to wait to read the rest!
