A fast paced story with an interesting plot and plenty of potential. It was a cliffhanger ending, which would be fine, except I didn't feel I had enough time to connect with the main characters. I really liked the heroine, Maya. Caring, intelligent, and strong she was easy to relate to. I longed to see her stand up to herself and own her dreams. Ms. Caldwell does an excellent job of getting you invested in her life right away. I longed to Lear more about who the hero truly was. I know about his past. What mattered most was him now.
I really enjoyed Maya and Colin's story. I loved the fact that Colin did not try to overpower Maya he was gentle, sweet and caring and he got his girl in the end.
So far this is my favorite Mia Caldwell book. Even though it is a short story and to be continued in the next book, it was still very good. It has a great plot, strong flow and an excellent story line and for their short interaction, great familiar chemistry between the character. I will forward to reading the next one. Great job
"Are You Insane" This is literally what I said at the end of this book. The premise is so unbelievable I don't know where to begin. In reality this would be a lawsuit on soooooo many levels. But in a book accidentally impregnating a woman with the wrong sperm is a reason to propose marriage. Smh I'm only gonna read the rest out of morbid curiosity.
So I am a fan of Mia's work. I am loving the start of this work project. it is funny how I can relate to Maya when she said how sometimes she feels like a 10 year old around her mom. So I am waiting for the next installment because so far this seems like a winner.
Wow this novella took me by surprise. It looked interesting based on the synopsis. And it is very fast paced. Before I knew it part 1 was done. I like both characters. It's sad what drew them both to the fertility clinic. But maybe this was fate taking over in a way. I can't wait to read part 2. And Maya's mother is a hot mess!! 😂 I would've given it 5 starts. I just felt like it was just a tad bit rushed. 🤷🏾♀️
Words cannot say what I would do in the same position! Maya was a lot stronger than Colin, but also Colin has his strength when he battled cancer. They both are giving their last and all for a child, but can they become friends or more than that? Nice part 1 and I look forward to part 2.
I found the premise of this book unbelievable, but oh well. I was moved by the story and the showing of the characters. The one thing I had problems with, outside of the premise, was that it needs a careful editing. There are mistakes in spelling and grammar, and problems in tense. Happily the story tracks.
The plot of this story is strange. I disliked the way the book ended. Have to wait for part two.. This book is about a women wanting to have a child and guess what who sperm she got.
