My star rating for THE VIOLET HOUR is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’after reading
an ARC Copy of ‘THE VIOLET HOUR’
(via:BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

This was my review for the debut novel “The Violet Hour” which was graciously given to me by this new fantastic author Andrea L. Wells. This is new Young Adult novel with a captivating romance and a deep layer of paranormal. Readers will get to enjoy this amazing story through the main female character Logan Keller’s P.O.V(point of view).

Logan Keller has been living the life of a teenager, who happens to be a socialite and the daughter of a famous super model mom and a step-father who is a real estate mogul. One night, when Logan returns home in Laguna Hills way passed her curfew, she finds her mother dead. Now that her mother is gone and her step-father Richard really is always on the move with his business, she has to move back with her biological father Kevin Keller, whom she hasn’t seen in six years. Now with the beautiful sun and beaches of California in her rearview mirror, she sets out on her journey to her dad’s home in Wyoming. She’s leaving behind her long time best friend Lindsey Hamilton and her boyfriend Brody Wilson. What she isn’t ready for is how different her life will be as she says goodbye to the life she’s known and gets to know the new people about to become a huge part of it.

She doesn’t know how to feel about living with her the dad she hasn’t seen in so long or his wife, Kate. What she didn’t expect either was to find that her dad has three teenaged brothers that live with them that are not related to her. Logan feels this strange yet alluring pull toward Luke, the middle brother. He’s a stranger but yet, something about him makes Logan feel safe and drawn in by his presence. The only thing that confuses her is the fact that his moods go from sweet and friendly to broody and distant with her. It’s both frustrating and confusing to Logan. As she struggles to find out what secrets are going on around her new life in Wyoming, it seems that more people know more than they are willing to tell her. When a strange man named Alexander shows up, knowing Logan’s name, things begin to feel stranger by the moment as she slowly unravels the truth about everything she’s been questioning.

As Logan begins to get answers to her many questions, she is not prepared for the answers she receives. Everything she’s known and the reality that has always existed around her is turned into something else. It was nothing she expected at all. When she finds out why her mother died and more about herself, fear begins to creep up and Logan has to figure out how to deal and survive it all. She is special and everyone that cares about her will protect her from the bad things that seem determined to get close to Logan.

Will Logan be able to handle the truth about herself? Can she trust Luke with her heart and her life? How will Logan deal with what she learns about the new people in her life? And who is Xavier? Words that she never thought she’d have to think about like packs, alphas and changes become all she can think about in the first novel of this exciting new series. I absolutely enjoy how you get to know the characters well and the storyline begins to build up in an exciting way. I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading what is to come in this new mind-blowing series. To say that it’s a YA/Young Adult novel, I couldn’t even tell. There is plenty of mesmerizing storyline and it will leave you satisfied as the reader. Knowing that this is a series, there are questions left unanswered like: What happened in California when Logan was surrounded? What changes will she endure and what strengths will she get from those changes? I recommend this. Get your copy when you are looking for something great to read next!

My star rating for THE VIOLET HOUR is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

I’m mostly an adult reader and this story is geared towards teenagers, but I found it to be exciting, enjoyable and quickly got sucked into the story. I was so excited when I learned I had I won a copy through a Facebook pre-release promotion and could not put it down when it arrived. I will try to keep this review spoiler-free but it is basically about a teenage socialite who has a parent die and is forced to move out to the middle of nowhere to live with her father. There is boy meets girl (with a spoiler twist I really don’t want to ruin for anyone) and the story really takes off from there. I liked that the main character is very much a take-charge character, which is different than other YA romances I've read. It’s entertaining and straightforward so you don’t expect the “gotcha” moments – there are about 3 or 4 parts where you realize you've been duped and didn't even notice it. However, it wraps up neatly and even though it is a series you don’t feel brutalized by some dramatic cliffhanger (which I absolutely hate). I will definitely pre-order the next part of the series.

Outstanding. This read, geared for YA audience, captivated me as an adult and didn’t let go! She has the perfect blend of paranormal and fantasy in this book, and it really kept me reading! I liked that it wasn’t just focused on the romance, and really kept a good solid grounded in its other genres. Well done Wells! Great debut book!
The main character, Logan, really interested me. I was glad to see a really strong female without much wishywashyness (is that a word?) to her. She really held everything together, and really reflects well to the reader. Her development throughout the book was well done, and very interesting. I related to it. The character struggles to understand some of the twists and turns thrown at her, but she doesn’t do the typical YA girl move and pout about it. She could, because she’s leaving her sunny home and going somewhere she never planned, but she’s strong and that’s what I loved most about her. She does face major challenges, changes, and some crazy far out stuff, but she takes it in stride and really becomes a beloved character.
Luke is also great. He’s a great romantic lead, and the mystery surrounding him was very well done. He’s interesting, and more close to your typical hero in a story, but this story is so much more dynamic with Luke and his brothers and everything that goes on that you don’t even mind his broody moments because you’re just captivated by the story. He’s got an interesting backstory, and I’m looking forward to more of Luke and Logan in the next book.
I don’t spoil but there are a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming! You are so drawn in, and you really want the answers to some questions that you get left with. I’m glad there’s no major cliffhanger, but I’m still really excited to see what happens to Logan next. Great read! It exceeds the YA genre to appeal to anyone of any age who enjoys a good paranormal romance that’s completely acceptable to be read by a 13 year old as it is to be read by a 25 year old. It’s a great read that will grab you from the beginning and pull you through until the end! Very excited for the next book!

Great book especially for a debut author. I've seen a few (still great) reviews saying they didn't like some of the loose ends at the end of this book but I loved the ending. NO cliffhanger, just enough to leave you begging for the next book in the series. Definitely both an author and a series to watch out for because I see them both becoming famous.

The Violet hour is book #1 in the Violet Hour series and the first book I have read by this author.

I was gifted a very beautiful hardback ARC all the way from America to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.

I’m gonna go on about the fact that this is a proper hardback book!!!! I get sent on average about 35 ARCS a month to read, some come from publishers, some from promotion companies and some from authors direct. But this is the first time EVER that I have been sent a proper actual book!!!

It’s beautiful and signed and will now be added to my little stash of goodies.

Ok so back to the actual story lol, there is definitely a heavy twilight influence, and not just in the paranormal subject but also just the vibe and style of the story.

Is that a bad thing you ask??? Well not at all I loved Twilight, this book has an intensity and pureness that amplifies that cool YA paranormal twilightness.

Logan is a bit of a brat, yes lots gets thrown at her but she really could have tried to act slightly more maturely about it all. She had moments of brilliance where she was meaningful and impressively humble. By the end she has started to grow on me and I actually started to find her ridiculousness endearing lol.

Luke is super sweet but I would have loved for some of the chapters to have been his POV so I could have so insight into his thoughts. He plays such a pivotal role that I needed more of his background and thoughts to really round the story out.

I needed much more background on how Logan’s mom and Dad ended up splitting, how everything happened in the first place and also on the bad guys.

I love paranormal books and this story was a great new look at a brilliant subject.

This book leaves a lot of questions unanswered, why did Rachel become part of the family?, what does the rest of the town know, as some people aka Jackie seem to know what’s going on? Why did no one ever tell Logan what was going to happen?

This is a great start to the series, but I need to know what’s going to happen next like right now!!!

Andrea L Wells pretty pretty please can I have the next instalment J

The Violet Hour gets 4 stars from me.

A book that calls you back to read more after you have to put it down. A busy Mother of two, I found myself making NO time to sit and read. This book allowed me to shut my brain off and dive into the story line. The characters and story line feel real and almost home like, very relatable. It was awesome to sink back into reading. I can't wait for the next one to come out! Must read!

*I was provided this book by the publisher/author for an honest review!!

I was very excited to have the opportunity to read and review this riveting exploration in the life of Logan Keller's world as it tilts to a whole new level and spirals out of control. She is use to being a teen socialite since her mother was a model and her stepfather was a wealthy type guy!! Well with thier passing she had to move to be with her biological father who she hasn't known for a very long time. She leaves behind her rich life and her boyfriend to live in Wyoming to be a father she barely knows, his wife and their 3 "adopted boys". Sounds typical, strange and sad story so far yes?? Well, YES but let's keep going...

She doesn't know what to expect from her father or his surroundings or anything. Everything for her is strange. She misses her mom and misses everything about her life. BUT when things get going and strange things are amiss ESPECIALLY with LUKE. She starts to WONDER. Her strength adds to her character and her mind is quite astute. NOW you ask about the Paranormal part because of course it's not really given to you in the synopsis, or given away in the cover or anything but dare I tell you in my review what or who they are?? If you know me SQUEALLLLLL!!!!! You will know what they are because they are one of my favorite creatures of the night!!

Anywho! The character development was seen through the eyes of Logan. Through her movement and through how she saw each and every detail. The world built with such detail that it can only be added to in the follow up, which better be soon because I did not anticipate that type of ending. Pouts!!!

5 Stars to you Andrea L. Wells for your debut work! I tip my Nerd Girl hat to you!!!

An Awesome Debut!
This book is very catching, it will grab your attention, and keep it, as the plot gets more deep and twisty. Logan Keller is a socialite teen, with a famous mother, used to ducking paparazzi. Then her mother passes away, but even though there is an autopsy, there is no cause of death. Then Logan is shipped off to 'next to the middle of nowhere' to live with her step-mother, and father who she hasn't seen in years. Her Step Father handing her a one-way ticke to Wyiming where her father lives, because "it's for the best" and some cash, effectively giving her the old heave ho. At best her relationship with her father before this boild down to a few sporadic awkward phone calls here and there. And then there are the three teen boys living with her father. He took them in after they lost their parents. The brother that catches her attention though is Luke, there's just something about him, other than the fact that he's gorgeous. She is strangely drawn to him, but he is frustratingly hot and cold towards her, friendly and great one minute, then cold and brooding the next. Logan knows that something is off, people are obviously hiding something from her and she wants answers. As secrets begin to get revealed, Logan is not prepared for the things that she finds out. Especially the truths about her mother's mysterious death, and the truths about herself. There are so many more layers to this story but I don't want to spoil. This was a fantastic read, I can't wait to read the next book from this author. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was given an ARC book set for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS

This book was a great read!! The Violet Hour is Andrea Wells debut novel and I was very impressed. This book had me hooked from page 1. This was a wonderful young romance paranormal story. I would have no problem letting my 13 year old daughter read this book!

Logan Keller has just lost her mom. Her step father ships her off to her father's house in Wyoming. This is a culture shock for the California socialite! Logan finds that her father has remarried. There are also 3 boys that live at her father's house. According to what Logan is told, Jesse, Jack, and Luke moved into his father's house when they lost their parents the previous year. But everything is not as it appears on the surface. While learning to cope from the loss of her mother, Logan learns that everyone is keeping secrets from her.

When Logan does begin to learn the truth of everything she thought she knew, how does she handle it? Logan begins to fall in love with Luke, but the secrets tear at her trust in him. "In only four days, Luke stole my heart. On the fifth, he crushed it." What does Logan learn in the sleepy Wyoming town? Does Logan and Luke's relationship survive?

I absolutely loved this story. I look forward to reading so much more by Andrea Wells. The only thing I would have changed is the last chapter. I wont go into details about that though because I don't want to give away the story. Get this book!

ARC review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews Blog

Captivating, alluring, mysterious. That sums up The Violet Hour.

I haven't read a paranormal/ werewolf book in year's, but this book drew me in. The overall storyline is amazing. The author takes you on this journey. I absolutely adore all the characters, besides two. Brody and Linds. Those two, man.

Logan is reeling from the loss of her mother. One minute her life is everything a girl could want. The next she's shipped to Wyoming, to live with her father and stepmother. She never knew that the moment her mother passed, something she could never imagine would come to life.

Luke. He will help her, befriend her and is the one person who knows what she's going through. But he's keeping a secret, they all are. One that Logan will soon know about. But what she learns, she would never have imagined. Those things are only in books, right? With this revelation, will come another one. One that Logan isn't ready for. Her life will be forever changed.

I can't wait for the next book. To see where Logan goes, how she copes with everything. I couldn't put this book down. The author writes brilliantly and has you where you feel like you're in the story, right along with these characters. It's an unique storyline. I didn't know what was coming, and new things pop up. It keeps you interested the whole way through. READY DOR THE NEXT BOOK, PLEASE!

I was lucky enough to get a reader's advanced copy of the book through the Facebook page, which everyone needs to "Like"!! I took my time reading this book so I wouldn't miss any details, as when I get excited for a new book to come out that I have been waiting for I tend to rush through it due to the excitement!!!

I thought this was an amazing book! When I was reading, the book definitely keeps you wanting more after each time you turn the page! It has moments of suspense throughout the book not knowing what the character was going to do next. I honestly have started to re-read the book over again to make sure I catch every detail in the book. The author is so detailed when describing characters, their reactions, facial gestures, and matching their thoughts with their actions. I cannot wait until the next books in the series and see what is in store for Logan and the other characters! Great book and a great amazing author!!

I found this author on facebook and followed her waiting for the book to release. The moment it dropped I purchased an ebook and started reading. Finished it tonight though it was a bit slow to start for me, by the time I finished the first few chapters, I couldn’t put it down. I’m in love with the main character, Logan. She’s a strong teenage girl which is what makes this book better than the wet noodle, Bella, in Twilight. (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Twilight Series but she is a noodle) And I have high hopes for her love interest, Luke. Bring on book #2!

I usually read horror and action novels but my girlfriend got me interested as she's been reading this the past few days. This was my first YA fiction as I stayed away from the Twilight scandal, although I didn't mind the movies. I was surprised at how much I actually liked this book. I was expecting it to be an easy read and I did finish it in one afternoon, but mostly because I couldn't put it down once I started. I really, really liked the characters and the more I thought about it afterwards, I found myself flipping back to a few pages and rereading some sections. I was warned ahead of time that there were a few unexpected reveals in the book, but I thought it was pretty obvious because I knew there was a supernatural-something going on and I just figured it was about a girl that falls in love with a vampire/werewolf/monster/whatever.  Just when I had it figured out, about 20 pages later the story took another unexpected turn. It is a fun read and breath of fresh air after usually reading heavier novels. I’m glad it was my first young adult novel and I’m going to give the rest of the series a try since I already know I like the author.

Dare I say it… BETTER than Twilight? Need I say more? Well, of course I should.. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t. Ever since reading the Twilight Saga, I’ve been obsessed with young adult. I constantly looking for books to read because I read every single night. I sometimes feel like I find the next big novel before it becomes a really big deal. This might be the next big thing. Yes it’s girl meets boy, girl falls in love with boy, girl finds out boy is a werewolf which has been done, but every other thing about this story is different aand perfect. I’m head over heels in love.

I first of all want to say thank you to Andrea. L. Wells for sending me her book for review. I also want to apologize for it taking so incredibly long to finish (I had the hugest slump, and barely picked up a book!)

Alright, so there were a lot of things going on with this book that it honestly left me with a mix of emotions. Overall I did enjoy the book, but I found that there were moments where it kind of fell, or I didn't really understand what Logan was going through that made sense. I will say that when it comes to the genre of this book, I tend to stay away, simply because there was one series in particular that kind of made it hard to fall in love with.

From the beginning, you kind of just get jumped into this story, without really getting a chance to understand what Logan is going into. I realize that it explains it in the synopsis, but I feel as if it could have had a bit more of an explanation, and more written about her journey getting to her father. Another thing was towards the end, I felt the same thing happen where one moment she was doing one thing, and the next she was somewhere else completely! #whatdidimiss?

"In only four days, Luke stole my heart. On the fifth, he crushed it."

HELLO LUKE by the way! I mean come on, the guy is keeping his own secrets, and yes, you obviously find them out (and I found that I could foresee some of it faster, but still by surprise) but holy-moly this man is something else! Can I just say, I would love to have someone surprise me with little notes that I find beside my bed, or in the bathroom, or on a patio saying little cute and adorable things...

Overall, I did enjoy the book. I feel that I didn't love it, only on the fact that it seemed to be slow at parts, and I found it to jump from one section to another, in some of the most crucial moments. I actually quite enjoyed finding out about the secrets, and the action that was packed inside! There were definitely moments where I felt like there could have been more in general. More love, more action, more wonderment with the characters, that could have made it so much better! I would say to give this book a read, because I am positive there are MANY of you who would love to read it!

“It’s the violet hour; when the day stands at the threshold of night taking a deep breath before crossing over into the darkness.  It’s the hour to reflect on the day’s journey and rejoice in what tomorrow may bring.  As the sun leisurely makes its way toward the edge of earth, it lets us know it’s not saying ‘goodbye’ just merely saying ‘see you soon.’

●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●

This debut novel and a beginning to a Violet Hour Series has a strong start. This is a perfect YA read with twists that you foresee coming and yet you are never prepared for when the twist arrives because it brings in something extra with it that you did not expect. I thoroughly enjoyed Andrea's writing and the world she has built that was so realistic as it portrayed the struggles of a teenage girl brought up with too much money and fame and forced to deal with a death of a parent.

Logan Keller is a teenage socialite living the good life until death death of her mother. She had it all fame, best friend who is almost her twin, a boyfriend, all the designer wear and the right connections that make a West Coast Socialite. With a very public death of her mother she is shipped off to stay with her estranged father who lives in Wyoming with a new wife. Leaving all of her life and social connections behind as a teenager is hard, on top of grieving. Upon arriving at her new place she discovers 3 new residents who live with her father. Three boys and one of them she feels instant connection with. One who draws her in and yet confuses her at the same time.

Luke, middle brother of the 3 boys, tries to show Logan around and in a way take care of her. However, the more he gets closer to her the more falls through the crack that the family is shielding Logan from something. There is a truth... a paranormal truth that Logan must know but not yet. The more family tries to sugarcoat strange occurrences and behaviors the more Logan gets suspicious and that is where the story gets interesting. But in the end if always goes back to Logan and Luke. Their attraction and their need to comfort one another.

●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●

“I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of that,” I said after he reluctantly pulled his lips away from mine.

“Of what?” he asked.

“The way you kiss me.  My heart skips a beat every time.  I hope it always does.”

“Me too.”

●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●•··•●

I found myself getting frustrated with treatment of Logan and the way she lashes out. As a paranormal book there has to be some sort built in acceptance to discoveries of paranormal nature but then I remember this is a YA novel. Where my adult impatience gets in the way my rational side butts in to calm it down.

Overall I enjoyed the beginning of the series with its surprises and can not wait where the series will lead. I want to see what happens with Logan and Luke and the rest of the family. I want for ALL the secrets to spill out and finally see Logan come into her own and show that what a girl in high heels is capable of!

Ok I had some major problems with this book
A; She was attracted/drawn to the male lead WAY TOO FAST, like first meeting him while having a love interest back home
B; The awkward moments where cringe worthy but the author brushed past them like it wasnt supposed to be awkward but cute...?
and C; This is my fault because I didnt read the blurb, ITS PARANORMAL and the execution of that premise of the book wasnt good either.

Started off well, went down for me DNF @ 50%

Ok it was a fun summer read. However I don't like an ending that I say did I miss something. Just as the climax is happening the book sped past it. What happened? How did the confrontation resolve. I know the aftermath. Just not the juicy bits!

I received a physical copy from the author in exchange for an honest review
Read this review and other reviews like it on my blog Little Miss Reader

I am currently hosting a giveaway for one copy of this book on my blog. You can find the giveaway here.

I think this book has one of the most memorable beginnings! I seriously shed a tear after having read the first chapter and I had to put the book down afterwards. It so incredibly emotional and I absolutely love the way it begins!
I shared the first chapter in the beginning of the month, you can read it here.

I have to admit that I see a bunch of similarities between The Violet Hour and Twilight but I don’t mind since I actually like Twilight. Andrea has basically taken all my favourite things about Twilight and has made them even better. I loved reading The Violet Hour

Characters
Logan Keller, our main character, tells the story in The Violet Hour. Logan is almost 17 and she’s probably one of my favourite characters ever! Logan isn’t snarky, she’s not rude, she’s not arrogant and she forgives. My favourite part about her is the fact that she’s a reader, I love it when characters are into books! I also loved Logan’s stubbornness, she doesn’t accept when someone’s lying to her and she’s definitely a very strong female character!
Logan is very close with her mom and her death is devastating! The fact that they were so close makes me smile, I wish I was closer with my mom and it’s not often that I see such a great mother-daughter relationship in books and I really like that.

After her mother’s death Logan moves in with her father, his new wife Kate and 3 boys; Luke, Jack and Jesse. The children of two of their deceased friends. I really liked Kate, I loved how she tried to help Logan without trying to take the role of her mom! The fact that Logan hasn’t seen her father in seven years and choose to forget everything and just forgive him makes me so happy. I’ve read too many books where the characters hold grudges even against the one person they have left and I love that Logan is better than that!

I can’t not talk about Logan and Luke! Swoon! I absolutely love Luke, he’s so sweet, thoughtful and kind and my cheek definitely hurt from smiling because of him! He’s just what Logan needed and seeing the two of them together made my heart flutter!

The story
Aside from loving the characters I also loved the storyline! I was a bit worried about the werewolf part but it wasn’t as prominent as I’d feared and I really enjoyed the werewolf part when it came down to it. It was so imaginative and I’ve not read that many werewolf stories I’ve actually enjoyed - this is definitely the first one I’ve actually loved!

I loved every little bit of this story, the conversations, the events, the setting, the storyline, the characters and so on. Everything was just to my liking and I really think she took all my favourite things from Twilight and improved them!

I had to put the book down halfway down since it was way past my bedtime but I stayed up quite a while just thinking about it and I picked it up the moment I woke up!

This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while and I’m grateful for receiving this book for review! Thank you so much Andrea!

So, in case you hadn’t noticed I absolutely loved The Violet Hour so I had to give it the highest rating. It has everything I love and more!

This book was okay. I won't lie. I stopped about 90% through. That's saying something. I tried really hard to make it through the last ten, but I just didn't care.

SUMMARY

Logan is a famous socialite and daughter to a rich and beautiful actress and model. She lives a lavish life in California wearing designer clothes and trying to dodge paparazzi. Her mother's unexpected death has her moving to Wyoming to live with her father who she barely has a relationship with. Upon arriving she is greeted by her stepmom she has never met and taken to her dad's surprisingly stunning mansion in the woods. She learns there are three orphan boys her age who live with her dad and one catches her eye hardcore. Luke immediately takes an interest in Logan leaving notes and flowers on her bed saying how nice it was to talk to her and asking to take her into town. (eye roll) After five days or something ridiculous Luke kisses Logan after she admits she can't explain how connected to him she feels (huh?). I kept with it though because there was some trouble in paradise with Logan being kept in the dark about a big secret. She knows people are hiding things and there have been some mysterious wolf sightings.

She has a breakdown (again) and learns that Luke and everyone else in the house are werewolves. Logan throws a pity party and doesn't talk to anyone for weeks. At some point she has a turn of heart and lets Luke explain why he kept it a secret (it's kind of obvious but I guess not to Logan). Luke decides to say "I love you" and cuddling and kissing occurs. I still kept with it though! (Oh meanwhile Logan is also having breakdowns over finding out her now ex boyfriend and ex best friend were cheating. She discovers this a few days after being at the ranch with Luke in his car and he takes her into his arms saying it's okay...(major eye roll).)

Logan freaks out again after learning she is a werewolf and people are out to kill her. (Somehow she didn't put two and two together after learning WEEKS ago that BOTH her parents were werewolves. I'm sorry...but come on. I'm pulling out the dumb blonde card for her. She had no idea she was one.) So she flies back to LA and decides to, I don't know, go out with a bang after learning people are trying to kill her? It was a dumb move. That's where I gave up. I didn't really care if she did get killed lol. She also decides to call her ex and get him to arrange a birthday party for her? It was all strange. I didn't like her. She whined a lot. I know her mother died but it was over the top.

I loved The Violet Hour and couldn't get enough of the characters. Logan has the perfect life, until her mother dies and she has no idea what has happened to her. Logan's life completely changes when she has to move to Wyoming to live with her father and stepfather. She's still trying to figure out her life and put the pieces back together when she meets Luke. Luke is everything to her at this time in that he befriends her and offers her the comfort that she is looking for. However, Logan is keeping a secret too, which makes the story that much more interesting. I loved the pace of this story and the characters. This book reminded me of Twilight and I loved the romance factor of it!

Wells has a knack for writing and I am glad to see her embracing her gift. The story is intriguing and pulls you into wanting to know more about the characters and what they are going through. I'm a fan of supernatural and love seeing a plot unfold. A lot of the initial portion reads for the nature of Twilight fans, but holds true to her genre.

Juvenile

The heroine is very juvenile - I am just not a fam of giving your family the silent treatment for weeks. Grow up.

Also, it is rediculous how Many unanswered questions your are left with. Really!!

Wonderful debut

Unlike anything I've read yet familiar. If that makes sense. I think it was very original had me glued in. This was full of twists and turns and emotions. I would definitely recommend to readers who enjoy paranormal. This is a must read for paranormal fans.

I won't rate the book since I skimmed over the entire thing, I'll just say that the writing wasn't great, the characters were annoying, and it was unbearably predictable.
