I think this is one of the worst mmc’s I’ve read about. He’s so freaking weak and disgusting. He knows his uncle is physically abusing the fmc and even assumes his uncle is talking about sexually abusing her but he states “just finish up what you’re doing so I can kill her”. So he knows she’s being abused , seen the marks on her and doesn’t stop it, he actually tells his uncle it’s ok. His uncle jerks off on her while he physically abuses her & she tells the mmc this. He doesn’t do something to help her until about 56% of the book and I think it’s only cause his brother, who actually has a heart and wanted to help, helped her. I could NEVER be with someone who knew I was being abused and sexually assaulted and did nothing to stop it. There’s absolutely no connection between the two mc’s, they don’t even like eachother most of the book. If your reading this thinking it’s another hockey romance, you’ll be disappointed because there’s barely any hockey in it, there’s none of the teammate bonding & friendships, the fmc never even goes to a game or sees him playing. This book was trash 🗑️

This was Beauty and the Beast, meets Hockey romance, meets Dark MC Romance.
This book was such a crazy mix of tropes that somehow all worked together. Eva Sorenson is the daughter of Jonas Sorenson who heads up the Trusted Saints motorcycle club. She's been "given" to Baron Roybal - who she plans to murder on their wedding night. Hudson Murphy is a star hockey goalie, and also a member of the Iron Eagles MC. He's been waiting to take his revenge on Eva for 19 years, since her father ordered the death of his mother. When he finally gets the chance to kidnap her, he finds that maybe killing her won't be quite as easy as he thought. These 2 characters are each a mess in their own way, and they make terribly bad decisions along the way. But underneath all of that they are both decent human beings, and somehow you end up caring about them. The pace moves so quickly, and the heat between them is insane.
I was gifted an Advanced Reader Copy, and am leaving my honest review.
When Hudson was a kid, he witnessed his mother being killed. He had no other family , but he found he had an uncle and a baby brother, his uncle took him and his half brother under his care. Now years after he’s Nhl player for Chicago Reapers. And works for his uncle for iron eagles in the mafia organization.
Eva’s father is one of the crime lords. She owns a company helping companies to their feet .Public relations. One night she worked into a bar helping the owner ,she went out to take a break and one of the stuff was outside, she felt something was strange about him. When she was returning home , she witnessed her dad’s friend trafficking armor’s ,until the back door of the bar slammed open and the same guy came out, he went straight to fight Bruno , with the chaos she didn’t know what was happening, then she was taken.
A fabulous story that I can’t take the book out of my hands until I finished it.
SinBound Puck: An Enemies to Lovers Dark Captive Hockey Romance by Vina Madison is a wild, high-intensity mashup of hockey romance, mafia chaos, and dark captive romance that somehow manages to work brilliantly. Eva Sorenson, daughter of a powerful crime lord, becomes the target of Hudson Murphy’s long-planned revenge—only for everything to spiral once she’s taken captive. What makes this story stand out is the explosive chemistry and emotional complexity between Eva and Hudson. He’s torn between vengeance and obsession, while she refuses to break despite being trapped in a dangerous world of crime, betrayal, and shifting loyalties. Their push-and-pull dynamic is sharp, intense, and completely addictive. The pacing is fast, the stakes are constantly rising, and the tension never lets up. Beneath all the darkness and violence, there’s a surprising emotional core that makes you care deeply about two characters who make all the wrong choices in all the right ways.
I absolutely love how this story mixes hockey with MC, giving it a unique twist. Hudson is ruthless but has this caring and understanding side. Eva is feisty and determined to make a name for herself. I found it ironic that they both shared a hatred for the same people despite being in rival clubs. You can feel the chemistry sparking between them as they both desperately try to resist, and it is comical watching her try to break him down. There were a few heavy, intense scenes that were hard to stomach and had me completely on edge. The high-stakes suspense, witty banter, and extremely spicy moments balanced this book beautifully. It's a perfect dark slow burn that was incredibly difficult to put down.

Vina!!!!! How dare you cause me to cry?!?!?!?!?! Multiple times too! Hudson and Eva, so much to unpack there. First it's hate and possible murder, next it's physical spicy and possible love...... LOVED IT!!! Lucian, Lucian, Lucian....... such innocents leave an impact on both Hud and Eva, couldn't help but lose it. And that ending! Such love!
Absolutely can not recommend Vina Madison's Sinful Puck series more! It really is great with the hockey vibes plus the mafia vibes. Love the entire series and Vina's writing style.
Okay, this is prime reading right here. Mafia, hockey, and MC all rolled into one amazing danger and chaos filled story. Loved Hudson and Eva. These two were so spicy, I could feel the heat through my iPad. I loved the twists and turns. It kept me turning the pages needing to find out what was coming next. This was so freaking good!
Wild ride! Be sure to check the trigger warnings. The characters are strong and the plot is action packed, spicy and ties up nicely. There's a bit of hockey, a dash of Mafia and a load of MC. Good read.
