I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.
I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.
I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Let me start off with the fact I was not expecting the heat level of this series. So much so that I was joking about the fact that my YA loving brain needed to make a new feature on the blog called "BookCrushin After Dark!" So this book is barely New Adult, but it does touch on some of those typical themes of finding your path in the world and choosing what is best for you and others (book 1 however, I thought fit firmly into the new adult category). And the hero, Ean makes a lot of silly new adult-type mistakes for his 'fae' age, which in the scheme of things makes him kinda new adultish! This book is also very mature & extremely sexy! So if you like some smokin' heat with your plot this book is definitely for you!

Also, this book can be read as a standalone, I read the first book, Protecting Shaylee, and I highly recommend reading them both in order. It is also kinda weird because I read book 1 first and then immediately read Loving Ean (LE), as a sequel, starts with a timeline that occurs before book 1. Then LE travels through book 1's timeline and ends after book 1's timeline. So that was very interesting for me as I haven't read a series that did this before. I mean I have read alternate POV books that would do this, but nothing quite like this before and it was cool to read the intersecting plot lines from a whole different set of POVs. Loving Ean is told in both Ean & Laila's POV and I do love it when that works to the benefit of the dialogue. The only issue I had is because I read both books back to back, so some things felt very repetitive. I am sure if I didn't binge read the series at once I wouldn't have this issue.

This series is very unique and I devoured it. We delve into the juxtaposition of the human world and of the Fae, and the characters we are following all guard and protect the half-fae. The guards help the newly transitioned fae to embrace their new life as they turn 21 and the fae magic turns on inside of them. I felt immersed in the world; it was fleshed out and very cool! The book is well written and the witty banter and fun inner monologues had me in stitches most of the book. Then the sparks fly when they are getting naughty!

I adored Laila's character, I thought she was strong and fierce. She knew what she wanted and she wasn't ashamed to give into the feelings she had and to wait for those intense connections she experienced while being with Ean. It was a little head shaking at times that she would just put up with his nonsense, but she knew he was the one and was willing to help him work through his issues. Speaking of Ean's issues; man he needed someone to smack him upside the head! I know Fate tried, but I wished she had hit a little harder! Ean had some crazy alpha male tendencies and how he managed to push those crazed feelings aside and to refuse his connection is beyond me. But he thought protecting her from his dark recesses of his mind was the right thing to do for the charges he was protecting.

The main drama, that wasn't Ean & Laila's relationship, revolved around the Fallen who are the dark side to the light fae, they are no longer pure souls and have been recruiting a lot of newly transitioned half-fae that the guards are trying to protect. We get to quite a big faceoff between the main 'big bad' fallen in this installment, but it kind of fizzles at the climax where I wanted more of this plot line. I have a very strong feeling we will get a lot more of where this going in the 3rd book, Chasing Hayleigh, which releases in a couple of months from now!

Overall, I really enjoyed both of these books! I laughed, I cried and at some points I got down right angry at these characters in this book and to me that ranks high on my list of loves and hates. I like it when a book makes me feel and the sexy-times didn't hurt either! Hope you enjoy this little indie gem!

"...being alone is never the best option. You'll miss out on the best things in life, and you'll never reach your potential."

Loving Ean is the second book in the Fae series. I love romance and I love PNR. Put them together, and I find myself on cloud nine. But, I also want this type of book to stand out and give me themes and characters that I haven’t read repeatedly, ones that are fresh and new. Enter Loving Ean.

"I don't deserve the one I'm fated with and I know she'll be better off without me.”

We first meet Ean in Protecting Shaylee.  He was a guarded character, and felt the need to protect others from himself. Not much has changed.  Except now we see that he is projecting his feelings onto others.

"You have know idea what she is capable of, and frankly, the fact that you think she is so soft and vulnerable is insulting."

Laila is the perfect female mix. Sweet and smart. Tough and strong. We are able to see aspects of her in Loving Ean that definitely did not surface in Protecting Shaylee. And, given our knowledge of Ean, we know that the possibility of the two coming together will be nothing short of combustible energy.

"...the perfect choice, I've only done once. It was when I chose to love you forever."

When I first started this review, I wanted to just scream, “I LOVED THIS BOOK!” But I’m not quite sure that would be enough of a review to explain all that I felt and experienced while reading Loving Ean. So, let me try to give you enough to make you salivate for this read and get the twitchy one-click finger, but not enough to give away any of the goods.

"It's really just about the math."

Loving Ean was definitely categorized into one of my favorite reads of the year.
It was laced with mystery and intrigue that pulled me right into the magical and unknown world of the Fae, and held me captive from start to finish. I enjoyed reading from both Ean and Laila’s point of view, as it was interesting to see the difference in male vs. female point of view of the Fae, their tight circle of friends, and their physical responses to one another. This book featured some of THE HOTTEST sexual moments, and the sweetest tender moments. I laughed out loud time after time and found myself looking around to make sure know one was watching. One of my favorite paranormal moments was getting to watch as the Fae protected their own and fought their enemies. It was mesmerizing. There were also so many phenomenal twists. Some were laughable, some eye-popping, and some left me broken. I have read other books that featured characters from previous books in the series, and I didn’t feel as though there was much change in the “other” characters from one book to the next. However, Author Elle Christensen incorporated them in such a way that hearing from the other characters was like peeling away one layer to expose and give meaning to the next. I am so excited to read the next books in this series.

This is the second book in Elle Christensen's series. We have met Laila and Ean in book one; Protecting Shaylee. Now we get their story. This one is more angsty than book one but worth every bit of angst. This is a story about two people and how they deal with accepting fate, destiny and love.

If it was physically possible to cause body harm to a fictional character, Ean was first on my list just for his macho stupidness. At times I wanted to punch him in the head, not only the one on his shoulders either. Everytime I got mad at him though, Elle made me feel guilty on the next page. The work they do is having an affect on Ean and he's stuck in torturous conflict. He can't ignore the attraction that ignites and burns between him and Laila but he also can't ignore the affects the job are having on him. I spent a lot being pissed the hell off at Ean wanting to hunt him down and throttle him and then he said/done something sweet or sexy and I melted. Caveman Ean is hot as hell by the way.

I loved Laila. My heart broke for her many times during the book. She is passionate, caring, and lets be honest a hopeless romantic. I think at times she may come across as naive, but she's not. She's head strong, she knows what she wants and she is willing to wait for it and fight for it if needs be. She was as strong as she could be for herself, and for Ean, but sometimes she wasn't given nearly enough credit for her strength. Seeing her growth and her proving everyone just how strong she is, is just one of them moments that makes you forget the character is fictional and you're so proud of her and so happy for her. She is one strong character, knows what she wants and won't regret it, no matter how what.

This book swallowed me, I could not put it down and when I really, really had to put it down, I was thinking about it. Like I said it's angsty but 1 million percent worth every single bit of that angst. I loved getting more of Aden and Shaylee, I loved getting to know some more of the other characters more. The book could get intense at times but I freaking love Elle's style of writing, wit and humor is woven throughout this whole book that will have you laughing so hard. I love the paranormal side to it , I got so caught up in it, savoring every single word. I'm not a big paranormal reader, I've read like 3 paranormal books, so in a way I'm learning and I love it. The intensity, angst, the sweet, the sexy and the downright hilarious all mesh together and make a hell of a story. Elle done amazing with this one, the perfect book to get lost in. This is without a doubt a 5 star for me. If I could give it more stars I would.

“I can’t stop hoping that he’ll wake up and realize that he is worth it. That we are worth it. We are our best together, our souls are meant to be one.”

Loving Ean is the second book in The Fae Guard series by Elle Christensen and is Ean and Laila’s story. Laila has wanted nothing more in life than to be fated to someone and find real love. No one is more surprised than her, when she finds that she is fated to her best friend, Ean. From the moment Ean realized the two of them were fated, he has done nothing but push Laila away. Laila wants nothing more than to prove to Ean that they belong together, but he fights her at every turn. There is only so much one person can take…. Ean wants nothing more than to be the man that Laila wants and needs. But, a past mistake is holding him back, leaving him feeling unworthy of having such a wonderful person in his life. Ean feels that Laila deserves something more, something better and is too blind to see what’s right in front of him. Will Ean come to his senses before it’s too late?

I really enjoyed Loving Ean. Once I stared reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. It was filled with so much angst and romance. It was just the read that I needed. I loved the connection between Ean and Laila. Their feelings towards one another were so undeniable. There was so much push and pull. I just couldn’t get enough.

Ean frustrated me so much. He was a stubborn, stubborn man. He was blinded by the things that he thought should be happening and refused to see the reality of the situation. And Ean is a total alpha male. His mind might be telling him that Laila deserved someone better, however his body didn’t get the memo. He wanted to claim her and make it known that she was his, every time they were together. It was quite enjoyable to watch!!

I felt so bad for Laila. All she wanted was this great love and thought that she had finally found it. She thought that if she could be there for Ean and give him what he needed, that he would see how right they were together. When she loved, she loved hard. She wasn’t one to give up on those who mattered to her.

Loving Ean was a quick and enjoyable read for me. I loved spending more time in the world that Elle Christensen has created. Her characters are fun and entertaining. There’s lots of angst, romance and frustrating moments. As well as funny and steamy moments. All in all, a great paranormal read!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So first of I will say that I do enjoy some paranormal but they are not my favorite by far. With saying that I must tell you that anything Elle writes I now MUST read I truly loved this book. I wasn't quite sure if it was going to be something I enjoyed but once I picked it up I was hooked and finished it quickly. She does a great job keeping you interested in the book and her writing is top notch. This is the first book I've read by Elle and I will definitely be reading more from her. I don't think you have to read the first book to get this one, since I didn't but I do think if you want to get to know them better it would be a good idea. I will be picking it up to read now since reading this book.

In this book you have Ean of course, whose dealing with some demons from his past that makes him believe that he can't be with Laila. It doesn't help that it seems as if the Fallen are going after those he protects. Losing them to the Fallen is messing with his head and his soul and he thinks that although he may not be turning into a Fallen, inside his soul is becoming dark. He believes that she would be better without him, like most hardheaded men he thinks he knows what's best for her without consulting or listening to her. Ean also thinks that she is strong enough to be able to work with him since she teaches other Fae instead of being out there protecting them. He never asks why she teaches and it hurts Laila that he thinks that and seems happy to just assume that she is basically too weak. Laila on the other hand is such a strong, fierce, loyal and loving person that loves him so much that she is willing to deal with all the of BS from Ean and wait for him to realize that he needs her more than just when he is having a bad day. This book has the full range of emotions going on in it. You will want to smack them upside the head to wake them up and then you will want to be Laila because the sex is of the charts HOTT!

How long will Laila wait for Ean or will she ask to sever the connection? Will Ean ever accept Laila as his fated? Will they ever stop the Fallen that are targeting Ean's charges? Find out in this book.

I did not read the first book in The Fae Guard series, but it did not seem as though the books needed to read in order. However, I HAVE to read them all now.

I was not sure of how I would feel about the story when I first started reading it. I love fae stories, but they are interpreted in many different directions that I have found myself not a fan of a few. But I am now a forever-fan of Elle Christensen's view; the Fae and Fallen (think fallen angel-type description), and how 'humans' become a Fae, which realm, or side, they live in after 'turning' on their 21st birthday, and how the Fae protect their charges from the Fallen.

While the fae-part of the story is a part of the entire picture, it is not the main concept of the book. The story of Laila and Ean and how they deal with realizing they are fated is the main element.

Ms. Christensen took me through the many ups and downs of Laila and Ean. There may have been screaming and cursing and the need to throw the book I was reading at Ean's head numerous times. He is stubborn, bullheaded, ridiculous, and so full of his male-caveman-ego, he makes me scream!

Laila also made me want to strangle her at times. She's a strong female lead, but she also was too hooked on her need for a happy-ever-after with Ean that she lost sight of who she was at times. I did, however, appreciate her attempting to date others, even if her thoughts behind her actions were for making Ean jealous. I was relieved to find that everyday life was not always revolved around Ean; she made a life and a stance for herself in other terms. She revived the strong female trait she deserved.

I truly enjoyed Laila and Ean having more than just a sex life, even when that is all they had. I loved their one-sided conversations they had with themselves, as many of those had me cracking up. I also enjoyed their personal feelings and emotions, even those they wore on their sleeves, just refused to admit to having.

If you need a book to read which involves love, romance, strong female leads, sex, humor and strong plots, I definitely recommend giving this book a read.

I feel like in a lot of instances book two in a series can be slower than the first, but that is not the case AT ALL with “Loving Ean”. This story takes you back a little bit and gives you insight into what we already assumed about Ean and Laila in “Protecting Shaylee”. They are “fated”. This book is fast and steamy, but so easy to follow you glide through it. There is the matter of Ean, and his filthy mouth. DAMN IT’S HOT. I am calling dibs on this fictional character, despite his inner turmoil that is present throughout the book. I really felt for him and his anguish at what he has lost and what he thinks he is doing to right throughout the story.

Laila is unbelievably strong and I honestly don’t think there was anyone better suited to put up with Ean and his tortured soul. She is determined, a fighter, passionate, and loving, but in a way that is fierce. You just know she can handle just about anything. The story between Ean and Laila is a bit of a thrill ride actually. We get more of Aodhagan, The Fallen (aka Snape Wannabe), that is after something or rather someone. The danger that is lurking throughout kept me engaged and reading and rereading things.

I love getting lost in the magical world that Elle has created with the Fae and continued to introduce us to in "Loving Ean". There is humor that has you cracking up (out loud in public places) and there are parts where you sigh and melt into a puddle. Also there is a scene towards the end with Fate that had me completely on edge! If this is any indication of how the rest of the series will be then hold onto your butts people it’s going to be a bumpy ride. I CANNOT WAIT!!

ERIN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

This series just keeps getting better. Ean and Laila light the pages up with their off the charts chemistry. HOT, HOT, HOT! Ean will make you blush with his dirty talking! The story of Laila and Ean is a little more serious. Ean is fighting the pull toward Laila because he feels he is unworthy of having her in his life. But he just can’t seem to stay away. She is his solace. Laila feels the pull to Ean and is settling for what he will give her. She wants more, but doesn’t want to push him. Their story is beautiful. Aden and Shaylee are still around and bringing some comic relief. Fate is in there too and she just keeps me in fits of laughter. The story flows effortlessly even with the twists and turns that in there. I was unable to put this down. I had to see Ean and Laila get their HEA. Ready and waiting (maybe not so patiently) for the next book in the series.

AMY E'S REVIEW
5 STARS

Loving Ean blew me away. The writing was excellent, the storyline pulled me in and kept a tight hold, and the characters jumped off the pages. Ean was the dark, broody alpha that I love. Leila was a rock of support, love, and understanding. Together they were so hot I expected to see steam coming from my kindle.

The supporting characters were so well written they balanced the story perfectly. Giving humor, support, and understanding to Ean and Leila. While simultaneously making me ache to hear their stories. Plus the continued look into Aden and Shaylee's story settled questions I had left after book one.

Overall an enchanting read that I couldn't put down. That answered some questions while brining up even more unanswered ones. Leaving me eager for the next book in the series.

I have been waiting pretty (impatiently) anxiously for Loving Ean to come out! When it hit my Kindle, I attempted (adult life has to have attempts to read now), to clear my schedule, settle down with this book, and enjoy it. I was not disappointed in the least bit with this book, and feel like this was a perfect addition to Protecting Shaylee.

Elle Christensen really captured a different Ean in this novel, and really brought Laila more into play throughout the novel. The characters all had flawless chemistry with one another, and really seemed to make the book what it was. We see a side of Ean that was not there in Protecting Shaylee, and I think that seeing that side of him was critical to the story.

Slight side note; Elle wrote Loving Ean from two points of view - Ean's, and Laila's and it was interesting to get the story from two different points of view. I actually enjoy multi-point-of-view books due to the versitility that they encompass when reading them. The reader gets feeling from two different characters without it getting confusing. It is interesting toread two sides to the story especially when one side is coming from a women's point of view, and a men's point of view. Certaintly a ice little touch on this story as it played out.

As I said before, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Elle Christensen did such a wonderful job bringing the Fae Guard to life that it was magical. If you want a GOOD paranormal romance, this is the book for you then.

Wonderful, wonderful 5 Stars to Elle Christensen on bringing the characters from Protecting Shaylee back to life in Loving Ean!

WOW!! OMG!! Where to start on this one. Let me first off saying.. I hadn't read Saving Shaylee first... so I had to pick it up before I started this one to get a base of who is who. Trust me. Do it. You will NOT regret it. I devoured Loving Ean so fast my head almost spinned. Let me say that books with paranormal are not my typical read but holy smokes. Elle Christensen NAILS IT! To be honest, I have always been fascinated with Fairies and the Fae and the way Christensen wrote this book, was amazing. She makes this story run so seamlessly and brilliantly interwoven with the Fae side of it you would swear you were watching a movie.
This book has it all. Mystery, romance, LOTS of hot moments which Christensen brings a new view to the table for which I LOVE. Ean is so alpha and beyond stubborn you can't help but feel something for him right off the bat. He tries to put on a strong front but is so broken that only Laila can put him back together. Laila is priceless. I absolutely adore every moment with her. She is hard as nails, just as stubborn but so sweet. When these two are together they are soooo explosive. The story line with the Fae is beyond intriguing and I SO need to know more about it. I am counting the days till another one in this series is out! The supporting characters are so amazing too! So, even if paranormal isn't your thing.. YOU NEED TO GET THESE BOOKS! DO IT NOW!! I promise you... you will not regret it!!

Won an ARC! Loving Ean is the second book in the Fae Guard Series. Elle Christensen has continued her magical touch with Ean and Laila. Ean is hot, sexy and beautifully written. He has all the right characteristics for a man that is fighting a battle within himself. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt and he has a guilt that makes him feel like he is not worthy of the one whom he is fated. Laila is strong, sassy, loving and a force to be reckon with when the time comes. Laila knows that she may not be able to have the one she is fated to be with and she battles the decision of how long can she wait. These two are so strong together and the heat that radiates between them could set off an explosion. Ean and Laila are two characters that you want to reach in the book and say "what the hell, pull your head out...". I found that I was laughing, loving and falling for these two. Elle Christensen put me in a state of whimsical paradise. I entered this book and wanted to stay wrapped in the words. I want to be surrounded by all of the characters in this series. You may fight fate, destiny and love but remember we fight darkness to stay in the light. Who will be standing beside you when it is time to make that stand and fight? I look forward to more from Elle Christensen. Go get a copy today.

~~~~~~~~~~Kelli's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Elle Christensen continues a great saga in the Fae Guard series with Loving Ean. We have Laila and Ean. Great friends for a long time. They finally give in to their mutual attraction and holy crap, it's the cliche sparks and everything. But it's not cliche. It's because they are fated. Their souls are meant to be together. Being fated doesn't mean you don't have a choice. Ean is a protector of the children yet to turn on their 21st birthday, and when he loses one of his charges in a devastatingly way, he decides maybe he's not good enough for Laila. He pushes her away. Can he walk away from his soul mate? Will he ignore his fate? This is a must read!
~~~~~~~~~~Lindsey's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~

The second book in the Fae Guard series was absolutely wonderful. Laila and Ean are the stuff made of stories written about soul mates. Elle Christensen has a knack for being able to evoke emotion, especially pain and isolation. I am a reader who actually wants romances to have real emotion involved. Yes, I love happy endings, but I love stories where the couple in the story has to work to overcome obstacles to find their happily-ever-after. This is a must-read and I hope Elle Christensen writes more in this series. Perfect rating

Mama’s Thoughts:
Fun, flirty and full of surprises, Elle Christensen weaves a fantastical love story fraught with doubts and insecurities, and more than a little bit of steam. Loving Ean is the next piece of the puzzle in the Fae Guard series and it packs quite a punch. Laila and Ean have a sizzling attraction that you would think undeniable, yet Ean pushes her away. Sometimes what we want and what we think we should do don’t coincide, but all the reader can do during this struggle is scream at poor mister gloomy that he’s being an idiot! Laila was one of my favorite Elle Christensen characters to date, she’s sexy, smart, sarcastic and can kick your butt to next Tuesday without blinking. Fate has a funny way of mucking about in the thoughts of those she supposedly watches over, and it is no different in this tale. There are ups, downs, full 180 turnarounds and you won’t want to stop after you start reading. Without a doubt this is a decalescent summer treat for those who like a good, hot, fantasy romance with a kick! 5 stars *****

A Great Read
I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read the first book in the series, but was told that it would be just fine read as a standalone. Having read this book, I am going to go back and read Protecting Shaylee, the first book in the series. This one was quite enjoyable, but I had the sense that I was just missing a little something. That may be because I knew that there was a previous book, but either way it didn't really detract from the enjoyment of the story. I was drawn into the story right away, and is one of those books that you just can't put down, and if you have to, it will be on your mind until you can pick it back up again. It is very well written, the plot and characters were both unique and delightful. This new world is fascinating the author has just really nailed it. The story itself is full of passion, love, angst, and steamy times. I absolutely love both Ean and Laila, but Ean is so frustrating! Argh! I just wanted to reach into the book, and slap him at times. He just didn't have enough faith in Laila's strength. I can't wait to go back and read the first. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I won an eARC of Loving Ean in a giveaway from Elle and had to get my hands on a copy of Protecting Shaylee before I could read it. I absolutely loved the unique idea behind the series - and the fantastic sex, of course - and I literally could not wait to start this book.

I highly recommend reading Protecting Shaylee before reading Loving Ean, though it is not absolutely essential. Things in this book do happen during the span of the first and so it would best to read them in order.

Now, onto Ean and Laila, who we first met in Protecting Shaylee. I am endeavoring to keep this review absolutely spoiler-free so I won't say much other than READ THIS SERIES! Many times throughout this book I wanted to punch Ean for his stupidity & part of me wanted to punch Laila too & the other part understood her thoughts & reactions. Seeing their journey & understanding the reasoning behind it makes all of the hair-pulling & angry WTF moments worth it. This book made me suck my teeth in anger, laugh hysterically, & swoon out loud. I absolutely recommend that other readers read this as soon as possible. I cannot wait for Chasing Hayleigh later this year & Saving Kendrix after!

My Review
'Loving Ean' is the second book in the Fae Guard Series, having previously read and enjoyed 'Protecting Shaylee' i had exceptionally high expectations for the follow up...I wasn't disappointed! There is a time lapse between the two books so even if you haven't read the previous novel i believe that you could still read this as a potential stand alone.
Shaylee and Aden's story captured my heart with the simplicity of the storyline combined with the brilliance of the writing, each paragraph was sprinkled with magical Fae dust that transported the reader to a new universe, where as Ean and Laila's story delves deeper into their world.
Elle has taken the initial foundations and built upon the world, reiterating and adding details to merge the two tales into one. Until about 60% into the story the timelines of both books run paralell but from the individual couples POV. The remainder of the book brings the two couples and the rest of the Fae guard to a conclusion...keep your eyes open at the end.
The supporting cast are, as always with Ms Christensen, more than noteworthy! The elusive Fate is as hilarious and brisk as ever! another triumph!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. With that being said, I enjoyed reading this book and I am not a paranormal reader so this read was a pleasant surprise to me.

Ean is your typical man. All broody and trying to keep to himself. Laila is this caring, hopeless romantic. The chemistry between them was hot and you could tell how much Ean loved her.

The supporting characters added so much to the story and to Ean and Laila. Plus it had a few spoilers in it from book 1 that answered a few questions I had. Protecting Shaylee (book 1) is a must read before this book, not for the storyline but it helps you understand the supporting characters.

This book kept my interest and it was hard for me to put it down and cook dinner last evening. And even while I was cooking I was thinking about what could/would happen. It had just enough angst, heat and humor in it for me.

This will be one of those books that I will reread often. It was that good.

I loved reading Laila & Ean's story, two that are fated in their world. The Fallen are the ones who try to persuade people to go to the dark side. The leath leanbh are the 1's follow their mark & get powers on 21st bday. Laila is a Fae who helps to persuade them. Ean is also a Fae who protects & watches his leath leanbh till they reach of age. They are a powerful couple together but Ean is afraid he will hurt Laila or not give the ones he is supposed to protect enough time to do his job correctly. Their chemistry is undeniable & when they are together it's HOT! This book had me laughing so much & getting terribly upset at times. I loved that Aden & Shaylee are still a huge part in this story! The insight about Faye and what's going on with her is just a tease but will leave you wanting more. If your looking for a book that is part of a series but can also be read as a stand alone this romance book is for you!

Loving EAN (The Fae Guard 2)- Elle Christensen 4.5 Stars

This is the 2nd book in the series, and whilst they don't essentially need to be read in order I would recommend that you do.

Laila and Ean belong together - they are 'fated'. But Ean thinks it will break Laila by being with him so he pushes her away to try to protect her. Laila is far stronger than he thinks, but can they eventually work things out ?

I didn't think I could love this book as much as book 1 (Protecting Shaylee) however, this one is just as good. I did feel quite cross and angry with Ean for most of the book and just wanted to either punch or shake him so many times - or maybe for Laila to punch him ! I truly love their world so much I wish it were real and I was part of it. I think erotic paranormal is definitely one of my favourite genres and this one is great, I was sucked into their world and this book really set my imagination free !

I simply love this series! This is the second book in The Fae Guard series and it was just as good, if not better, than the first.
This Book revolves around Ean and Laila. Ean is a guard that watches over the leath leanbh, children who are half Fae. Someone is targeting his charges and no one knows why. He has lost one of his charges to the Fallen and he is struggling with it. Laila is his fated love but he pulls away from her. He is scared he'll break her. But Laila is a lot stronger than he gives her credit for. At times I wanted to strangle him! Can he not see that together they'd be invincible?
This book has everything you want in a great book, love, lust, angst, laughter, and plenty of panty melting pages! Ean and Laila sizzle on the pages! It is stunningly written and you easily get lost in the story. This series is by far my favorite paranormal reads of the year!
Definitely a must read series!

Reviewing on behalf of SmutHut Promotions. Wow is all I can say. This is the paranormal writer that you are looking for. If you are looking for a great read but not quite so dark this is it. This book has the right amount of angst, passion and drama to sate your appetite without causing you to have WTF moments. You are free to fall in love with these characters and never second think your love. The writing style is flawless, any grammatical errors are few and far between. They in no way slow the reading of the book. The book is written from multiple points of view, and the women in this realm are strong sexy and oh so easy to look up to. The men are everything you have been missing in the world of erotica, paranormal, and romance. If you have the chance to read this series DO!! You will not regret it. I will be adding this author to my faves. An author that you can rely on to be amazing in anything that is written.

Loving Ean blew me away. The writing was excellent, the storyline pulled me in and kept a tight hold, and the characters jumped off the pages. Ean was the dark, broody alpha that I love. Laila was a rock of support, love, and understanding. Together they were so hot I expected to see steam coming from my kindle.

The supporting characters were so well written they balanced the story perfectly. Giving humor, support, and understanding to Ean and Laila. While simultaneously making me ache to hear their stories. Plus the continued look into Aden and Shaylee's story settled questions I had left after book one.

Overall an enchanting read that I couldn't put down. That answered some questions while bringing up even more unanswered ones. Leaving me eager for the next book in the series.

Meet Laila...Fiery, soft hearted, and head over heels for Ean.
Meet Ean...Fated to Laila, Ean pushes her away due to guilt.

Oh, the rollercoaster I was on with this book!! The banter between the characters proceeded to make me laugh out loud, cringe, and go "awwww". Going through the ups and downs with Laila and Ean made their HEA all the more precious to read. There were many times I wanted to just knock Ean upside the head and tell him to wake up, but I knew Elle wouldn't disappoint. This series is completely worth the read. I can not wait for the next one!!

Warning...contains a brooding Hero, a big hearted heroine, and some hot love scenes.

There are so many things that need to be said about this book but if I were just rating it based on the ability to make my panties wet - it would win some awards. All awards in fact. If I thought the first book was hot, I was wrong. Just plain wrong. This book takes needing a cold shower to a whole other level. Add in the heartbreaking story and I'm a complete goner.

Loving Ean was a perfect book - it had everything I was craving and satisfied every one of my book needs. There was love, angst, humor, heartbreak, anger, suspense, sadness, and the sexual dynamic was off the charts. I'm not so patiently waiting for the next book - you can bet I'll be buying these babies in paperback. ~ Kelly, 5 stars

I absolutely love Ean and Laila. Laila may seem weak to some, but to me she was strong enough to hold on to hope and be there for the man she loved no matter how much it hurt. Ean sometimes I just wanted to slap the crap out of him, But you can feel his pain and see his struggle. He puts on on a blank face, when inside he's falling apart. Will Ean let Laila be his fate or will he wait to long? Will she find her fate in the arms of another? Oh yeah, can't wait for Fate's anti love butt to find her match. I love her she's Awesome. Read book one first cause there's spoilers in book two. Loved them both. Definite must read series. Can't wait for the next book! You did an amazing job Elle. ♡♡♡♡♡

I was given an ARC by Smut HUt Promotions for an honest review.

Loving Ean is hard.
Any "man" that is that stubborn...ugh!

Which is the worst:
1. to never have loved
2. unrequited love
or
3. a refusal to be with the one you love (who loves you back) because you are afraid of life. Forcing them and you into agonizing despair?

Guess which one Ean chooses? Yeah not 1 or 2. Have tissues handy, or your kindle case secure (wouldn't want you to harm it before you finish reading). You are in for a bumpy ride, but with friends like Fate, Aden, and Shaylee there will be plenty of entertainment.

Elle Christensen knocks another one out of the park. Loving Ean is book two in the Fae Guard series and hooks you from the very first page! We learned a little about Ean and Lailah from Protecting Shaylee and I was so glad to dive into more of their story. This story had twists and turns I didn't expect, tons of humor, and the steam.....holy crapola, the steam was intense. At one point, I looked over at my husband and told him, "This is so freaking hot." LOL!

Pick up this book and you won't be disappointed! Can't wait to read more in this series!
