I am really sorry to express it this way but I have never read anything worse!
This is a perfect example of how badly a book can be written and it clearly exemplifies why some people should never write.
And I apologize if this sounds hurtful but this is my personal opinion and this is the kindest way I can put it into words.
A ridiculous writing style (if it has a style whatsoever)!
* Its tone is like an elementary school student essay.
* It is full of reported speech and feels like the bad version of a summary of a book.
* There are scarce dialogues.
* It needs serious editing.
167 pages told by the heroine.
Everything happens like a bad joke to my IQ!
There is no build-up or a transition from "being boss & assistant" to "two people f*cking each other". It all begins with "a foot massage and a lick on the leg" while they are watching a movie in a friendly way.
The hero asks this question: "I want this, do you want it, too?" She says yes and then, we are presented their first sex scene, which is (well, think of a bad porn and then imagine something even worse) really distasteful and unbearable for me!
So I dropped it at 20%, in the middle of Chapter 5, just after their first cheap porn scene.
I am deleting the whole series! If you share my taste in books, please don't waste any time on this!

First and foremost, this book has A LOT of crazy sex scenes. I just need to get it out there. I mean seriously, every friggin chapter has at least 1 or 2 love making scenes. About 80% of the book, the characters are doing it... which is absolutely crazy.

YEP. So that how it basically goes. They're like freaking rabbits or monkeys.
The only thing I noticed was that I didn't see any character developments in the story. I was not convinced with the hero's feeling towards the heroine. The ending for me felt like it was rushed. One moment, she was going away since she needed time to think about their so-called relationship and then BAM they were okay and the guy proposes. I love happy endings but sometimes for you to believe it's a happy-ever-after-kind-of-love, you wanna see both of them grow first and make them realize that they should be mature enough to fight for their love/each other. Right? Right!(I sure hope I made sense. LOL)
Overall, I like reading the book (seriously, the sex is insanely hot!) and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. ;)

5 SEXY PANTY MELTING STARS!!!!!
I absolutly cannot BELEIVE that this was Ella Fox's first book!!! This woman knows how to throw down!!! Damn!! In one of my updates I stated that if it were ever possible to get knocked up by a book then this book would be it.. On a scale of 1-10 on a HOT level, this book would be a 20..seriously..
Although there was a lot of hot steamy panty melting sex... there was an awesome true love story too... Dante and Sabrina--- Friends for a couple of years and working together (Dante is her boss), both secretly attracted to each other an wanting to get their claws into each other for so long but neither willing to cross that line.. until one night when neither could deny what had been simmering beneath the surface for so long...
Once they give into what they have been wanting for so long.. it fireworks
Now.. if they can just hold on to the all consuming burn before the fear of commitment spooks Dante and tears them apart....Sabrina has her hands full and sets out to convince Dante that the burn they have for each other will never burn out and will last a lifetime...

One maybe two very "I'm totally in the minority" stars!
This was one of those books for me that had amazing reviews from most of my friends, so the entire time I was reading it I kept wondering if I had a different version than everyone else....

She was oblivious to how Dante felt about her, and not in a cute way, in a "seriously, you're an idiot way."
Dante..
He was supposed to be alpha, and yet came across as a spoiled cry baby. **That may be a bit harsh, however not at all exaggerated lol)
All in all this just seemed to be all sex with nothing else to back it up.

If there's one thing I can't stand in books it's when names are repeated over and over. Well! There are 221 pages in this book and the name Dante is used 467 times!
Seriously, why do we need to have his name in practically every sentence! NO NO NO NO NO
I could have enjoyed this book if it wasn't utterly ruined by the repetition. The sex was pretty hot and the whole group dynamic was good, but it couldn't redeem itself - at all - even a little!

Sexy sexy book! The sex so hot and so much of it that it makes me purr in satisfaction.

I can't deny that I adore a friends to lovers story. This book delivers that genre to-a-tee. However I doubt that any reader will find anything original with this story and it did have some moments of 'cringe' BUT that being said it is a simple well written Romance short novel with plenty of smut to boot.
Steamy and sweet this story is an all round easy read, with a likeable family and great female heroine who knows what she wants and falls in love with her best friend. The story is told from her point of view so it goes without saying that the reader can easily connect with her, but the author also does a good job of keeping you connected with the male hero.
Thoroughly enjoyable not too deep. The story develops nicely and ends as all true romance should.
Warning this book has a blush factor factor of huge proportions, romance friends to lovers meets instant chemistry that carries on right through the book.
I'm sure I'll read the follow up stories surrounding the Hart Family, and I would recommend if you need a book to be easy, steamy and a relatively short, predictable read.

Why just ok? Well, I need more story line, more actions not just porn for your imagination.
Although I can not say that I haven't enjoyed it very much. I did!
And what I hated the most was "the dirty-talk". 90% of it I was just rolling my eyes or face palming, sometimes eve laughing out laud, cause really.... What normal person can be 110 percent in to the lust mode doing "acrobatics" and at the same time make full, correct sentences of a dirty-talk????
In the beginning it was funny at how unnatural it all sounded, in the end it was just annoying .
I'm sorry but I can't imagine a man inside me, at the intense moment of doing .. that, and then he'd stop (while still inside me) and begin explaining how he feels right now, in full 5 or maybe even 7 sentences. (???)

The short version we have Sabrina Tyler who is in love with her best friend who also happens to be her boss Dante hart and reckons he has no interest in her because he doesn't believe in love or commitment of any kind and seems to have a bevy of "Dante bots". That's how far i got into the novel as i could not care less whether or not this relationship was doomed or not.
Am bitter as hell, because this was one of those instances i ended up judging a book by its cover and what i got was a writer who just over described every single detail and the book had so many grammatical errors by page 13 i gave up editing the book and called it a loss.
For example in Page 5 when Sabrina describes getting the job with Dante Ella writes "I was thrilled when i was got the job". Then she goes on to page 12 and writes " They doesn't do it in-front of me and the girls" and continues on to page 13 with " I blow my hair dry". What the heck?
Call me harsh, i don't care...but seriously...come on.. Am going to be giving this series a skip.

OOOMMMMGGGG!! This book was so hot!!! DANTE, swoon!!! The only thing I wish was different was the book was a little longer. I would also like to know a little more maybe in another book about the rest of the characters!! Anyhow, the book was hot, I loved the story line, and I loved all the characters!!!! I F'ing loved this book though!!!

Will write my review and rate it when I have finished the whole box set. I want to review and rate them all together since for me each book is a part of the other and if you read the first one, you have to read them all to get the whole story for all the characters.

First, I want to give high marks to Barnes and Noble for having self published authors available. After Fifty Shades, I really got in to romance/erotica, and I've actually had better luck with self published authors than I have with anything currently in the mainstream- with the exception of "Bared To You" by Sylvia Day- but since that also started out self published, I guess it helps to make my point.
Anyway- back to this book.
Broken Hart is a love story, and a good one at that. I connected immediately with the characters. They were well conceived and I liked that the relationship wasn't a rush job. (which is my only issue with 50 shades)
Sabrina and Dante- and their families- felt real to me. I was invested in the story. These are people I would know in real life.
The sex scenes in the story are ON FIRE. Just a total wow. I've read the book twice in the last week, and I am now anxiously waiting for Dante's brothers story.
If you liked Fifty Shades and Bared To You, you're going to love this.

Dear Lord!!! hmmm ... It is safe to say this was really really bad written porn!!! I mean no one speaks like that during sex!! Some are so corny I was embarrassed for them myself!!! I don't think I have ever read a book and roll my eyes this much. Like who think up these things?!?!
These two went at it like rabbits and honestly, I never even felt their connection. The one thing I give the author props for his Dante's stamina!! It definitely outruns most fictional men. And that, makes the really bad porn scenes seem more realistic sex. (Contradictions all around!!)
Still, we get the most serious relationship conversations while he was pounding into her or just went in waiting to begin. Like who speaks two full paragraph while hard inside your bed buddy??? You having sex or making a speech???
This book is full of so many grammatical errors it's unbelievable!! You don't need an editor to just re-read your work or put it in Microsoft Word or something so you can pick up on some of these obvious errors!!
The characters even forgot what they were doing ... have me shouting ... "You weren't reading, you were watching the T.V.!!"
The dialogue is terrible and nothing like how two friends should or would speak to each other. I am rolling my eyes like crazy once again. And when we aren't subjected to really bad dialogue, the female protagonist just speaks for everyone else.
There are 9 characters in total that are introduced in this novel and we have only ever heard directly from 4!! yes, 4!! because two are the love interest, one is his brother and one is her sister.
I am surprised that you are suppose to have this tight knit loving family and never once do you hear the sisters speak directly. You'd think they were mute.
And if all that wasn't bad enough, throw in the cliches and you have the perfect, awful romance/porn novel.
Sabrina is ... sigh ... I don't even know. She could have been a good character if the story was written better and if she refrain from speaking during sex! When I wasn't rolling my eyes, I was laughing at the silly things she kept saying.
Also, I could have swear that in the final sex scene we were getting a marketing slogan for men and the use of anal plugs ... like hello!! o.O
Dante was angry all the time and I didn't even believe his tortured soul facade. The dude want to get some without putting in the work of a relationship and blames it on his messed up parents. Like dude seriously? ... get a grip and some morals!!
I don't remember if I saw a 5 star review for this but if there is, you are a liar!!!!!! This shouldn't even get a star!
I am pretty sure there will be a follow up book, maybe more than one and I am certain as to what will happen. It will be about Damien and Brooke and the cliches, sex and bad conversations will roll on!! So it's safe to say I wont be part taking in this festival!!
Good luck with the rest of this series, because book 1 is utter rubbish!!!

Could it BE more predictable? (Said in my best chandler voice). Turns out, it could...
Can Sabrina break through and fix what's broken in Dante Hart?
Assuming this isn't a rhetorical question, I'd say, of course she would! Given that Sabrina is the lead, she doesn't really have a choice, does she?
I think I was 17 when I first discovered the two most incontrovertible facts about romance novels:
1) The male-lead (tall, dark and handsome) has a careless and dynamic personality that the feisty (and independent) female-lead finds highly annoying (or charming), until she doesn't. He knows his way around a female body (which is okay since STD's don't exist in the romance novel universe).
2) The female-lead is stunningly beautiful (which btw, no one really notices except for the male-lead) and her initial feelings (lust or annoyance) towards the male-lead were only a disguised form of her undying love.
If there is one thing that I'd describe as inherently predictable or true as a broader generalization about romance novels, this is it. Broken Hart is no different and there is nothing wrong with that. The formula has been successful for ages. It's just...predictable.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the good stuff, shall we?
Ella Fox describes Broken Hart (and the rest of this series) as a romance erotica and I don't think there is a way better way to describe it. As most other reviewers have already mentioned, the chemistry between Dante & Sabrina is incredibly sexy and it stays that way through out the book. The depictions of sexual interplay between them are very tasteful (none of that bondage crap) and they reflect the chemistry quite well. (Seriously, do not read this book unless you are in the privacy of your own space.)
But were the passion, the sizzling hot chemistry and the incredible erotic scenes justified? Is Dante and Sabrina's relationship based on lust or love? I'm gonna say yes, they were indeed justified and Ella Fox did an amazing job at maintaining the balance, but you should definitely read this novel and form your opinion.

A disturbed guy and a broken girl can only resist each other to some point, the breaking point.
Dante and Sabrina are two extremely sexy and crazy people.
After a year of defying blood-sizzling attraction for each other, these two take it to the extreme...their sudden and powerful sexual pull threatens to overwhelm them both.
Although overall it was a good read, full of hot scenes and funny banter, I’m probably going to sound like a broken record here…but it sometimes remembered me of an executive cliche, you know..."female secretaries bang their bosses and most bosses bang their secretaries" kinda thing, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but it wasn't the best read I've ever had, yet it kept me reading and fortunately the characters made up for all of the flaws.

These are my thoughts/feelings while reading this book - WARNING THERE ARE SPOILERS!!!!
Fav. Quotes (There's alot!)
- Raising my eyes to him, I check to see if he’s noticed what’s happening with me. His eyes blaze back in to mine and the look he gives me is pure heat. Oh, wow. He feels whatever this is too.
- I shudder when he makes a sound of feral appreciation as he sees my little yellow panties. His breath is choppy, just like mine. This is a sight to behold, Dante turned on. I feel like I’m about to explode.
- Holy hell, Dante is a bad boy. Impossibly, I am even more turned on.

This was such a good story that I was taken back that it was free. I saw on twitter that this past weekend it was going to be free for a few days and so I grabbed it. Normally when I get free ebooks I'm kinda bleh about them but this one is great and I'm keeping it on my kindle. I lent my kindle to my friend on Monday so that she could read this book. She returned it to me this afternoon with a big smile on her face and said she loved the story too.
I'm kinda bummed by the few 2 star reviews I see here cause I definitely don't think those are deserved but then again to each his or her own. I was enthralled by the book and was really feeling these two characters. If you don't like hot sex in your books than this isn't for you because Dante and Sabrina have hot and amazing sex pretty damn often through the book but it works for the story and it really helps you realize what their connection is. I laughed with my friend when she dropped it off because this book is about a hundred thousand times hotter than everyones favorite masturbation material 50 shades. The difference is mind boggling. I will be anxiously awaiting the follow up stories from this series. By the end of the book I had fallen a little in love with Damien too and I really hope his story is as good as Dante and Sabrina's was. I was a little scared that maybe he had fallen for Sabrina too but by the end I didnt think that anymore.
The ending to this story was just right.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I loved this book. Very, very well written and this author knows how to write some scalding sex scenes. Great job, Ella Fox! These characters are both very strong characters...they know what they want, they realize that they both have issues, and I wanted to stand up and cheer when Sabrina got back in the car in Las Vegas and went shopping. Oh, so great. I loved this book.
Please note that I marked this for FSOG lovers on my shelves...definitely had some FSOG undertones with the issues that Dante had and the innocence that Sabrina had, but still kept you guessing till the end.
And I am a sucker for a hot shower scene. Yow. FIVE. SOLID. STARS! Can't wait to read Shattered Hart and read about Damien's issues. I was really kind of hoping that Damien and Brooke were going to get together (again, I think it was the FSOG thing in the back of my mind), but this book is absolutely a great one and apparently Brooke and Damien DO get together in his book. 5 Fan-fucking-tastic stars!
Holy hell this book was hot, the author could write scripts for porn ;) The story itself is good, there were a few typo's and errors but that didn't bother me. The sex between Dante & Sabrina, holy fucking hot! It's a short book so some of the scenes go by quick and there was a lot of history & detail in the begining but I think we really needed that in order to understand the relationship the characters already had. The rest of the book, even up to the end, was panty-wetting...no, panty-saturating ;)

I loved this book so much that I took the time to email the author since she had included her email address on her amazon author page. This story captured my heart and my mind. I've read it three times already because it's so unbelievably HOT. Yet it manages to be loin at the same time.
This book amazed me I love Sabrina so much. I am looking forward to Damien's story but I'd also love a Dante and Sabrina sequel. These two sizzled right off the page.

Read this several months ago...it was a freebie on Amazon. I love friends to lovers stories and this was a good one. I actually read it a few times because its a very quick read. I just saw that book 2 was free on Amazon a few days ago, but I missed it :( Hoping that they offer it again soon.

I downloaded this book for free off of Amazon, so I thought I would give it a chance. I'm sorry to say that I found it dissipointing. Firstly, I found the first person, present tense narration kind of irritating. Or maybe it was just the MC that I couldn't connect with? Whatever it was, something just wasn't working for me. I didn't mind the premise of the story, and I thought it had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me.
A few additional notes: I found Dante's personally to be a bit dorky, especially for someone who's supposed to be a wealthy, cool, sexy, alpha male. For example, the fist pump and yelling "yes" during the scene when they are in bed together. Umm.. yuck. I also found the conversations between them to be stilted and unnatural. Although the sex scenes were very steamy (and there were many), I found myself cringing at some of the "dirty talk" between them. It just wasn't working for me.
Anyways, I am only one person, and this is only my opinion. I'm sure many people will enjoy this book. It just wasn't for me.

Get out a fan, line up some ice water or a rendezvous for later. This book is HOT, and backed up with a good story! I REALLY liked it, despite some weaknesses.
The book's description accurately depicts the basic plot.
What I liked:
-the genuine affection and human emotion depicted
-that the author didn't fall into the trap of making a man interested in Sabrina (h) early in the story a stalker... I am getting sick of that schtick
-the high level of detail provided with regards to Sabrina's shoes and other attire- it is apparent that our girl the author is a shopper, and it added personality to the story
-the H Damon is likeable in spite of his weaknesses
-the very very hot romance and highly erotic sex scenes
What I didn't care for:
-typos
-missing punctuation
-1st person combined with inconsistencies of tenses
This highly erotic romance wasn't merely a delivery system for headboard slammin' sex. The author was able to elicit emotion from me as a reader that most erotic romance writers do not even attempt. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and watching her writing mature, or her selling enough books to score a professional editor.

This book had so much potential. I rated it a 3.75 star book since It was good enough I got through it. I liked the family dynamic and their past stories. I even was happy with the lead male... the female wasn't my favorite person. Then there's the sex, OMG lots of sex. It was hot don't get me wrong yet I had to started skimming past those moments. Sex became the focus and not enough of character development or story building.
What killed me most is when I got to the point of liking where they were headed and the most romantic moment was coming they go and us a "plug", for he first time. Then that moment from behind when he's thrusting and her moans turn into screams he says "I love you" for the FIRST TIME!! Oh and right after he asks her to get married. I waited 230 pages out of 250 to get to this moment and that just happened.
If someone I trusted tells me the next book in this series gets better and shows the authors growth I'd believe them, and might pick it up since I did like all the supporting characters.

I grabbed this book while it was Free & let me tell you it would have been worth the $3.99 it costs now this is one Hot Book!
Lots of raunchy sex- almost too much but not quit.
Dante was up front with Sabrina from the get go about not doing the relationship thing but he sure wasn't acting like he didn't want that so it was confusing for Sabrina when Dante flat out said that the thing between them would just run it course- truly heart breaking. Sabrina did what any self respecting girl would do and walked away. My stomach was in knots with this heart break. Just when I thought Dante was coming around to his senses he broke her heart again (and mine too). You will have to read it to find out if it will work out for them in the end and if Dante can actually let go of his silly allusion that he will never have a relationship and be in love. Great ending.
