Okay so the first half is MOSTLY FUCKING CRINGE because North's way of speaking is just NOT IT bro.

Like why would you say:
"Let's jerk off together and see who comes first"

When you could say:
"What do you say, we whip 'em out and have a race to the finish line?"

.........right?...

please end me.

North has way more brain-eating lines but I do NOT wanna go back through the book and find them again. Consider this me being kind and saving you the brain cells 💗

The second half of the book is pretty hot.

...The second half in question is when they start fucking. I think that's pretty obvious 🤣🤣🤣

AND SURPRISINGLY THE JOCK IS THE BOTTOM!! Which I didn't see coming at all, but actually really really liked 🤭🤭

This is a best friends / roommates to more college romance, featuring Gavin and North, and is book fourteen in the Hard Men series.

Gavin moves in with his best friend, North, expecting things to stay the same. But sharing a room, and a mutual jerk session, makes Gavin realise he may have feelings for North.

Love a best friend, double bi awakening. This was sweet and spicy, loved their leap into exploring and commitment.

Things to expect in this book are:
Book 14 in series
Novella
MM college romance
Best friends to more
Nerd x Jock
Size difference
Forced proximity
Roommates
Watch p*rn together
Mutual jerk session
Monster c*ck
Double bi awakening
Spicy times & dirty talk
First times
Breeding kink
Facial

What can I say, Lucas Blaze is my guilty pleasure. This time I did not expect at all the dynamic that developed between Gavin and North, but I enjoyed very much!
I loved North's neediness toward Gavin and how he topped from the bottom. Gavin was just adorable, I think they were perfect for each other.

I beg the author to write an epilogue more far in the future for the next story. I really really need to know how things go as the time passes.

Several surprises throughout that I enjoyed, a switch up from the norm.

My biggest problem with the "jock" shorts is that often, way too much "dude" and "bro" and "man" is used.
I can take a little bit in the beginning - I understand why it's being used (I guess).
North was almost too much in this way, but what made him easier to tolerate was his laid back attitude towards things that would normally be met with a response of "that's too gay" or "I'm not gay!!".

Especially bc North is the quarterback of the football team, 6'5, and just a wall of muscle. Confident too, sure of himself and his body.
As for looks - short, cropped black hair. tanned skin, with even teeth and a square jaw.

Our other MC, Gavin (Marsh), whose POV the story is told from, is his best friend. They're new roommates, and quite the polar opposites.
They shouldn't work as best friends, but the moment the met, everything fell into place.

🏈 Is it a little weird that we’re best friends? Maybe.
A quarterback and a bookworm.
The loudest guy at the party and the one trying to leave it.
But when we met at freshman orientation, he walked up to me and said, “You look like you hate this as much as I do. Wanna go find food?”
And that was it.
We clicked. Instantly, stupidly, like a pair of Lego bricks. - p. 7 📚

Gavin is only 5'9 and extremely slender, an artist/bookworm. With a very low libido/interest in sex. Which defffffinitely changes.
Looks - Hair is a "weird dish-water blonde". "Not ugly, but not what anyone would call handsome." These are Gavin's own words about himself.
One thing we do find out, North is very excited to tell us and Gavin, is that G is packin'.
Side note: I can't even imagine how big it is if a 6'5 football player is saying that.

My other biggest surprise is the sexual dynamics.
I try not to give too many spoilers in reviews, but there are other reviews that will tell you what I mean if you don't want to just read it first for yourself.
It was a nice change.

Fairly easy acceptance of new feelings and desires, as well as a cute epilogue.
muchhhh appreciated.

All in all, this one was cute.
By all means, it won't change your life.
But it's worth giving it a read.

❤️‍🔥“You know, yesterday, I thought rooming with you was a mistake.
I thought you were the wrong roommate for me. That I could only handle you in small doses.”
“Ouch.”
“But I want you in big doses, North. Big, big doses.”
“Oh, trust me, Gavin. You can have all the doses you want. As many as you can handle, and then some.” - p. 50❤️‍🔥

I seriously stop the current ebook I am reading to jump to these spicy little stories every time I get the email a new one has come out! Blaze's books are always a short fun read and I am never disappointed!

As always I loved this! Gavin is the shy bookworm and is roomed with his jock best friend who is Mr.popular!! Gavin has never had much of a dating life and North plans to change that but setting up a dating profile... Turns out Gavin really isn't that interested in dating... Or girls .. or anyone but North!

Steamy and not what you might expect!

I really loved this one because it switches up the top and bottom dynamic. With the big muscled jock being the bottom and the shy smaller nerd being the top. It’s refreshing and highlights that gay sex comes in different flavors.

I also love that the author never tap dances around their sexualities or does the whole “we’re straight, we just like fucking each other.”

Overall, a great short read if you want something spicy and a little different. Also, great ending in the supermarket ;)

Surprisingly cute for an erotica short. North was a bit too much of the jock stereotype, but in the end his good-natured enthusiasm won me over. Even though it's erotica and the premise never was a deep connection, I've kind of missed
