This book was phenomenal, to say the least! From the very first page to the very last, I was completely hooked. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I genuinely could not put it down. Every chapter had me flipping pages faster and faster because I just had to know what happened next. The romance between the two main characters unfolded so beautifully. It felt natural, heartfelt, and had me emotionally invested from beginning to end. What I appreciated most was that this was a clean romance that never once felt boring. It proved that you don’t need explicit content to tell a captivating love story.

The writing was so vivid that I felt like I was watching a movie in my mind as I read. Every scene came to life and I found myself completely immersed in the story. By the time I reached the last page, I wasn’t ready for it to end.

The author did an incredible job, and I can honestly say I hope to see this story on the big screen one day. It has all the heart, emotion, and depth of a movie waiting to happen. If you’re looking for a clean romance that will keep you engaged from start to finish, I cannot recommend this book enough! Awesome job Chelle ❤️

I have to be honest—I don’t usually read books. My wife started reading For the Long Haul, and she would not put it down. Then I kept hearing her yelling at the book! 😂 I finally said, “If it’s that good, read me a couple of parts.”

Well… a couple of parts turned into the whole book.

I really liked the main character. He was a truck driver, a hardworking man, and someone who always did what he could to protect the woman he loved. That made me respect his character even more.

This is a great love story, but it’s also full of surprises. Just when you think you know what’s about to happen, the author takes the story in a completely different direction. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I also liked that the hero is a strong young Black man with good values, and the female lead is just as strong in her own way. They made a great team.

I enjoyed the ending, and now I’m looking forward to the next book.

If you’re looking for a story with romance, suspense, unexpected twists, and characters you’ll actually care about, I definitely recommend For the Long Haul. It’s a must-read!

I initially ran across the authors TikTok page while she was promoting it before its release. Her story of God giving her this story five years ago really resonated with me as an hopeful future author(that maybe it’s not too late for me ). Back to the book…. This book took me by the collar from the very first pages. I love the mental health rep in Vivienne. Vivienne is strong, confident but is also healing through some DV trauma. Mekhi is just a solid good dude (who wears a cowboy hat). He isn’t necessarily charismatic but he’s down to earth and honest. The banter between the couple is what sold me. The funny and pestering way they flirted had me blushing constantly. Without saying too much this book is a worth while read. The trucker trope is not one I’ve ever read but I’ll be looking out for it in books from now on. But I don’t think they could touch this book. Mekhi and Viv will be living rent free in my head.

I love forced proximity it’s probably number one on my favorite book tropes. I’ve never read a trucker romance book so I was very exited to get an ARC for this book.

Self sabotaging FMC’s drive me absolutely NUTS every single time. And normally I would add a book with a character who is still self sabotaging at 50%+ of the book to my DNF pile but I had faith she would get her mess together and press on. Then she disappointed me and pushed that good man away even harder.

In the end I enjoyed this agonizing slow burn ride with V and Khi and would recommend. Great first book congrats Michelle

I received an advance ARC copy of this book, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to read it early.
I really enjoyed this one! The trucker storyline was something I hadn't come across before, so it immediately caught my attention and kept me interested. It was a refreshing change from the usual romance plots.

The MMC was definitely the highlight for me. He quickly became one of my favorite book boyfriends because of how confident, dependable, and genuine he was. I loved the way he carried himself and how his character developed throughout the story.

This book is well written, easy to get invested in, and focuses more on the romance and the characters than explicit spice.

I really enjoyed this book. It was different from what I usually read, and I loved it. I've never read a trucker romance novel before. The FMC was well-written; how she carried herself made sense, judging by her past experiences. The MMC was that guy!! Levelheaded, grounded, and all around 10/10. I did enjoy the "clean" aspect of it. The author did a great job. I think the love story was beautiful. It was a genuine romance that showed love can be a beautiful thing if you let it.

For the Long Haul was a beautiful story that captured the true essence of being seen and heard by the ones you love. The FMC and MMC take their time with one another to really just live in the moment. The way they study each other while simultaneously healing each other is chefs kiss. 🤌🏾👏🏾 So, if you’re looking for a slow burn that takes you all the feels and then some give For the Long Haul a read!

This book was ok....the FMC drove me nuts with her lack of rationalization, but the MMC was endearing. I do enjoy books like this that read from each character's point of view, but the way it was written was confusing sometimes because it would switch mid page without a break. I would give this author's books another try. Quick read, but not one that will stick with me.

Thank you booktok for getting it right this time! This is my first truck driver romance and now I am obsessed! 🚚❤️ I will always put emotional and mental connection over any other, with that being said Ms. Michelle Lavonnee knows how to build connections! I mean who knew following Vivienne and Mekhi across state lines in forced proximity was exactly what I needed at this point in my life!

It keep me on edge, what I thought was going to happen. It would throw a little curve in there, but the book is great. I recommend it I got the book on a Saturday I was done reading by Monday. And I like that it’s not 600 pages. I can’t wait until the next one. It was nice to read.

FMC was annoying! I enjoyed Mekhi. Too much questioning and doubting. I would’ve left her alone with all her fears.
