Hello, I'm in love with this series.
It is so damn good. Callie Hart knows how to present us with the ultimate alpha anti-hero and the greatest heroine ever. With so many twists, turns and revelations, how can you not love this series? She throws in little tidbits and you think you know what'll happen next - then BAM! Surprise, bitch, something unexpected happens.
Hart puts a lot of information in a short novella format, yet she makes it seem as if you're reading a full length novel, so it doesn't loose its momentum.
I'm drunk on him. And I'm not just beer drunk on him. I'm fucking tequila drunk. Sideways. Gone. Blind with how badly I need him. Want him.
Sloane's search for her missing sister Alexis continues, Zeth opens up a little more of himself to Sloane, pasts are revealed, new interesting characters are introduced, more questions are left unanswered and the chemistry between our favourite couple continues to burn.
"Knew you couldn’t resist me," he says softly.
I can only laugh. "Against all the odds, no," I admit. "I can’t."
"Then I’m a happy man, Dr. Romera," he says, letting his eyelids sink closed for a moment. "Because from the moment I saw you…I haven’t stood a chance."
It is so hard to not love this series. Hard to not love Sloane Romera and Zeth Mayfair. Blood & Roses is such a gripping novella serial, with so many twists and turns, danger, intrigue - the list is endless.
Burn and Fallen are by far my favourite out of the six-part series. My favourite scenes are those small, precious moments that happen amongst the drama and chaos that surrounds Sloane and Zeth.
When Zeth and Sloane have genuine conversations about their "relationship" my heart does a million little flips. Zeth, in his own way, opens up in almost mysterious ways. I love the honesty between them. And it's hard to not smile when Zeth is surprised by Sloane's reactions.
This is the turning point. This is where I stop holding back. This is where I become his.
Those last few sentences of Fallen made me want to melt into a puddle and die of sheer happiness. Don't ever change, Zeth Mayfair.

Peut-être 3,75/5, mais je chipote.
Les rapports de forces s'inversent un peu dans le couple, et le héros se montre finalement plutôt tendre.
Par contre beaucoup de péripétie et d'invraisemblances (le sauvetage de..., on se saurait cru dans un historique, quand l'héroïne sauve qqun avec juste une pince non stérilisé et ses plantes médicinales et que la victime se réveille 3 jours après, tout dispo...).
J'ai bien l'impression aussi qu'il existe une histoire spin-off avec.... et c'est rageant de ne pas pouvoir la lire (non traduite).
Et je me demande aussi si les tomes VF n'englobent pas 2 tomes VO à chaque fois 🤔 A vérifier car si oui, les combinaisons VF sont mauvaises avec GR.

The story that sees Zeth and Sloane’s development continues in this third gripping tale. I can totally understand the obsession my reader friends have for Zeth, he’s fast becoming a favourite of mine too. His layers are slowly becoming undone, I love the man that hides behind a steel wall of muscle and formidable power. Sloane is just as fascinating, I love her strength that cohabits with an endearing fragility. The chemistry between them was incredible from the first page of this series and as they become more familiar to each other, it keeps growing and burning. Their bond is also becoming some fierce, a potent mix ready to combust. I cannot wait to dive into the next book to delve deeper into this amazing journey.

I love the story, but there were too many facepalms for me. I literally have a handprint on my face after reading it.

J’avais complètement adhéré au premier tome et j’étais enthousiaste à l’idée de retrouver notre duo, ce second opus est tout aussi bon si ce n’est meilleur car la tension monte clairement d’un cran.
Je veux éviter de rentrer dans les détails pour ne pas tuer l’ambiance et l’intensité qui va se développer entre Sloane et Zeth.
Ce que l’on peut retenir c’est que Sloane prend clairement de l’importance et du pouvoir, je ne m’attendais pas à ça surtout que dans le premier tome j’avais peur qu’elle devienne complètement gaga en permanence au contact de notre mâle alpha. Elle va aussi faire preuve de force mentale et gérer des situations bien plus dangereuses que dans le tome précédent. J’ai vraiment apprécié son évolution et j’espère que vous trouverez aussi qu’elle équilibre plus la dynamique avec son partenaire.
Zeth, quant à lui se dévoile et on arrive mieux à le cerner. C’est aussi un tome de remise en question pour lui et sa façon de fonctionner, il faut dire que le monsieur n’est pas des plus à l’aise lorsqu’il s’agit de s’ouvrir aux autres ni même d’entretenir une relation.
D’autres éléments se mettent en place et certaines révélations vont orienter nos héros dans des directions totalement imprévues. J’avoue que je suis encore une fois bluffée car rien ne semble acquis et l’on continue de s’interroger tout au long de la lecture.
Je trouve que pour une romance sombre avec BDSM, elle reste bien dosée et très bien construite, on est tout le temps piqué par l’intérêt croissant de l’intrigue et les rebondissements.
J’attends le dénouement avec hâte et vous encourage une fois de plus à découvrir la plume de l’auteure et ce récit.

When the villain cracks 😭😭😭 What the fuck, why are these so good?!?!
I already said this in my review of her Dirty Nasty Freaks trilogy, but Callie Hart’s writing reminds me of the iconic Mindfuck series by S.T. Abby/Kristy Cunning. I can’t put it down! I’m so compelled! Every morsel of this story is fun and interesting.
Our heroine, Sloane, gives me so much fucking life. I mean, truly… what a capable bitch. Capable and mature and smart and cool. I love being in her head. She’s not fearless— she’s scared shitless— but she controls that shit and steamrolls ahead regardless!!
Even when our main characters make stupid, reckless decisions, their choices feel INTENTIONAL and PURPOSEFUL on the author’s part. They’re real people and real people sometimes act like morons. It always tracks. It’s never gratuitous, just for the sake of moving the plot along.
Sloan and Zeth are mommy and daddy— they complement each other so well and are so hot together. I love being in both of their heads.

Twists, turns, and danger are at an all-time high as Zeth and Sloane infiltrate Julio’s compound to rescue Alexis, unfurl the lies Charlie has been feeding Zeth, all while Zeth tries to protect Sloane and grapple with his growing feelings. Book 3, Burn, leaves off with a huge reveal as they finally come face to face with Alexis and realize that not all is what it seemed.
Thank go these audios come in two packs because there is no way I could have been left on that cliffhanger! Book 4, Fallen, picks up directly after with Sloane desperately trying to save a life while grappling with the fallout and realization of where her sister has been and what she’s been doing this whole time.

this book was a lot better than the first one, i could actually get through it. it's hard to explain but the characters aren't as interesting. both main characters are so surface levels and it's sort of thriller although the thriller part is just not thrilling. i honestly like lacy and want to know more about her past and then lexi seems pretty intresting and a mystery. but sloane and zeth just there cute or intresting at some points but i just dont love zeth. maybe because he isn't romanticized at as the greatest guy and has other people in the book stronger than him. like i don't know but the story line and everything it's just not my cup of tea. i have one more book to get through and it should be finally over. also the sister plot line was just interesting. i wanna know more so much

Ja deze 2 delen zijn toch echt wel 5 dikke sterren waard zeg 🤩❤️🤩. Zo mooi om te lezen hoe Sloane en Zeth steeds meer naar elkaar toe groeien. De heftige sex is heerlijk om te lezen en Zeth begint Sloane steeds meer toe te laten. Het verhaal zit ook goed om elkaar. Deze 2 delen draait het niet alleen om de Sex maar het maffia verhaal is echt heel goed en spannend. Snel verder met de laatste 2 delen ( 2 delen in 1 boek)

YESYESYEEEEESSSSS this was so good! I love how strong Sloane is and how she knows how to stand her ground even with a possessive and intimidating character like Zeth 👏🏻
And goshhhh Zeth 🥵🔥👏🏻 I'm listening to this on audio during work and the narrator for Zeth makes his lines even better! I can't help gasping and dropping my work multiple times a day haha
I can't wait to continue with books 5 and 6 and see how this ends! 👏🏻

Burn was a dark, exciting read.
Following on from previous book you a straight back in the thick of things. Wondering what’s going to happen next with Zeth and Sloane.
I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Now I’m dying to dive into book 4.

Un deuxième tome pleins de rebondissements et de révélations qui ne m’a pas laissé un seul moment de répit. Ce second opus est aussi bon si ce n’est meilleur que le premier.
L’histoire de Sloane et Zeth continue mais rien ne va être simple. Ils vont devoir concilier leurs relations naissantes avec l’enquête sur la disparition de la sœur de Sloane. Et même si cela paraît simple, rien ne va l’être. Sloane est toujours aussi fougueuse et têtue. Elle va se retrouver dans des situations qu’elle n’aurait jamais cru vivre un jour mais tout cela ne va pas l’affaiblir, bien au contraire, cela va lui permettre de se révéler telle qu’elle est vraiment. Zeth reste fidèle à lui-même. Cet homme rustre et sexy ne cache pas qui il est à Sloane. Leur romance prend un nouveau virage dans ce tome. Ces deux êtres que tout sépare vont devoir affronter la réalité de ce qu’ils ressentent vraiment. J’ai aimé cette évolution lente mais tellement intense.
L’auteure a créé une intrigue surprenante que je n’ai pas vue venir. Les événements s’enchaînent et à chaque révélation, je me suis pris un uppercut car je ne m’entendais pas du tout à ça. Callie Hart a su exploiter son histoire au maximum et là rendues par la même occasion très addictive. Les personnages secondaires ont toujours une place importante dans l’histoire et je me suis attachée à certains comme Lacey et Mickael.
Un tome intense et captivant. Une série faite de tension, de violence, de sexe et d’amour. Une combinaison parfaite pour emporter le lecteur dans cette histoire. Alors si vous aimez que tous ces ingrédients soient réunis dans un livre, il ne vous reste plus qu’à foncez! Moi j’ai hâte de connaitre la suite et fin de cette romance dans le troisième tome.
Un deuxième tome pleins de rebondissements et de révélations qui ne m’a pas laissé un seul moment de répit. Ce second opus est aussi bon si ce n’est meilleur que le premier.
L’histoire de Sloane et Zeth continue mais rien ne va être simple. Ils vont devoir concilier leurs relations naissantes avec l’enquête sur la disparition de la sœur de Sloane. Et même si cela paraît simple, rien ne va l’être. Sloane est toujours aussi fougueuse et têtue. Elle va se retrouver dans des situations qu’elle n’aurait jamais cru vivre un jour mais tout cela ne va pas l’affaiblir, bien au contraire, cela va lui permettre de se révéler telle qu’elle est vraiment. Zeth reste fidèle à lui-même. Cet homme rustre et sexy ne cache pas qui il est à Sloane. Leur romance prend un nouveau virage dans ce tome. Ces deux êtres que tout sépare vont devoir affronter la réalité de ce qu’ils ressentent vraiment. J’ai aimé cette évolution lente mais tellement intense.
L’auteure a créé une intrigue surprenante que je n’ai pas vue venir. Les événements s’enchaînent et à chaque révélation, je me suis pris un uppercut car je ne m’entendais pas du tout à ça. Callie Hart a su exploiter son histoire au maximum et là rendues par la même occasion très addictive. Les personnages secondaires ont toujours une place importante dans l’histoire et je me suis attachée à certains comme Lacey et Mickael.

Wow! Fraught with tension and spice from the first page. I love both the short and long term plots that run throughout this author's series. Each character is a unique enigma that keeps you holding on for that next interaction. Fantastic.
