Things are heating up in the little town of Eden, where one young girl has been attacked and no one has the answers. Now with Jace's main suspect in some trouble of her own, everything is up in the air. Sian is on the mend under the watchful eye of Jace who doesn't trust anyone else to care for her, but Mandy seems bent on destruction as she tries using her old wiles to get back into Jace's good graces.
Underwhelming. Too many characters. This story being told in serial format does not work. Two more characters added...wtf...how am I supposed to keep up, remember them all!
This is the first book in the Second series of Eden High by Jordan Silver. I started this series because I thought it had an ending but it does not so we’re left hanging. When I read a book I take copious notes and end up with a lot of pages so it pisses me off when shit changes. I’m gonna list all the things that changed from the first series to the second one : 1.) Jace’s last name went from SAUNDERS to SANDERS. 2.) CASSANDRA is now CARISSA. 3.) ALEX is now ALEC 4.) SHANE is now SHAYNE 5.) Jace’s dad is Chad and Sian’s dad is Jackson then it says her dad is Chad then back to his dad being Chad. 6.) Mandy bitches about the fact that her stepdad didn’t adopt her and give her his last name but in book 3 of the second series it says her name was changed when her mom married Howard. 7.) Previously it says Jace plans on playing pro football and when he retires he’ll take over the company. Then in book 5 of the second series it says he was being groomed to take over when he turned 25 and that football was never part of his future. If I’m just the reader and I picked up on all this shit shouldn’t the creator of this world have noticed it or her editor ? Other than the above mentioned annoyances I enjoyed the series and would love to see how it ends.
I'm loving this series. So much is going on I don't know where to start lol I still like how we get everyone's point of view even though there are a lot of characters sometimes it's kinda hard to keep them all straight and I really like the new guy Track. I want to know his story because I know he has a big one. I think Mandy is getting more and more delusional. I know the big question right now is who tried to kill her and the suspects are endless, but I think it was Cassandra's mom. The only thing that kind of bothered me was Jase became a jerk when him and Sian had their major fight I was irritated that he became such an ASS. But overall I'm still loving this series can't wait for the next part.
The aftermath of what had happened to Sian is beginning to play out. While Sian doesn't remember who she was attacked by, her fiancee Jace knows it was something coordinated by his crazy ex. However all his investigation is halted when Mandy is attacked and Jace has become the main suspect.
The gang is all here and you begin to see how some of the other series favorites are playing out. Eager to see what happens next.
Okay, I'm not gonna lie, it was a good freaking book. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that at times I thought Jace was way too volatile and abusive where Sian is concerned. Or even the way he addressed his mother when she tried to intervene between he and Sian. Does he realize that he is still a teenager under his parents roof?
And yeah, the book said about he has a temper, but honestly I don't give a crap!! He better his...butt... down!
How are these people not dying and just going into coma's from stab wounds and gunshots to the head..? I liked the new addition of Track's character, I was really hoping for Cassandra to have some romantic action though. I think I'm just going to wait for the whole series to release and then read it all because I hate the cliffhangers at the end of the short instalments
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
There's just something about this series that draws me in. It's so bad it's good. And while it didn't wrap me up in the all the drama like the first series did, I know I can't wait to see what's coming next.
Also, my theory for who '???' aka Mandy's shooter is - Cassie's mother.
I didn't care for Jace the main H. I mostly thought he was an ass. I stopped reading JS books b/c the H were jerks. If the book was just about Jace & Sian I wouldn't read the series. I love Track, Jared. Tammy & Belle & Shane (sp).
There is the typical OTT stupidity & un developed plot w/ medicare editing done. But thought the story was fun.
I remember waiting for each episode of this 2nd series and enjoying the heck out of it. Ms. Silver writes some of the most outrageous characters, not to mention storylines. In this opening book, the witch Mandy has been shot and stabbed, along with drugged. Somehow she’s survived all that but is claiming amnesia. And we all know she’s lying.
Belle is still being self-doubting and I have to say that she’s carrying this a bit far. What do I know, I wasn’t ever in her situation but if a guy starts providing his security and care, why would she even question it? I’m sure I know nothing about this but we’ll see how long it takes before she (and Tammy too) gets her head out and starts to trust.
Having already read this I know who shot Mandy and I’m completely fine with it. Mandy will get hers, and will deserve everything that she gets. Can’t wait to move forward with the rest of the series.
Trademark grammar and spelling errors but otherwise I love it!
More characters? My brain. Oh my brain. I'm getting so bored with this series. Maybe I should've read them further apart instead of bingeing. Although, that probably wouldn't work either, because I'd definitely forget who all these people were if I spread them apart over what looks like years if you look at publication dates. (Sorry for that horrible run-on that I am too lazy to fix, but not too lazy to type an apology for.)
Sian has survived Jace goes into crazy over-protective mode and it under investigation We meet Track who the kids think is sent to anger management but really works for the federal government and is married to Valerie but they're all in high school Mandy isn't killed but given a drugged suppository and shot. She wakes up and is faking amnesia and is still trying to plot revenge Shane and Tammy.... slept together, love each other, but it's weird. Jared and Belle....are just weird Cassandra has discovered that Dad is sleeping with Mandy... I'm kinda hoping its the half brother she tried to drown who shot her.
This series kind of reminds me of the pretty little liars tv series and I'm starting to really get into it. The 1st part of the series I thought it was funny, i like reading cheesy teen high school books as a change to what I usually read and then it changed and had a few twists which has kept me reading it more.i still think it's cheesy and I like that sometimes.this prolly won't be a series I would read again tho
I'm done. I can't do this anymore. The first part of the series was surreal with all the drama that was happening, but this? Secret agents of the government we never heard of before but supposedly are best friends with the protagonist, memory lose, gunshots... just no. I left in chapter 5 out of 8, that a pretty big try. I wish I knew how the story ends but not enough to finish it.
This could have been a great series had it all been put together into one. I thought it was a waste of time to make a bunch of mini series. The fact that Jace was such an alpha was hot at first but then it just turned into controlling and manipulation, I don't know it just didn't sit right with me.
This is a good start to the next series of Eden high really want Mandy to go she needs to be punished track and Valerie are good additions to cast really want sian to remember attack hope this happens soon
The romance is blooming for each couple, yet problems remain due to the evil that was allowed to enter two families. Men should always use their brain versus letting biological need run them, that was all that was needed for that evil to get attached.
I am enjoying this series a lot but am finding it a little hard when characters names as such are changing from the first series to this series. Like Jace Saunders is now Jace Sanders and Cassandra is now Carissa. Makes it hard to follow at times. Would be nice if the series weren't so short, but that's just me. When you start to enjoy a story it's hard to see it end... Can't wait for the next books.
Relationships are progressing, new people are arriving on the scene. The mysteries have yet to be solved. This saga is far from over! And I am here for it.
Whew! So much happening at Eden High. New couples, Track is back, Sian is recovering and Mandy is laid up. Fabulous characters, a great plot and oh so much fun. Great story Jordan Silver!
The last book left us with a crazy cliffhanger. There are so many suspects with regards to what happened to Mandy, considering she is hated by so many people and has so many enemies.
At the time of the ‘incident’ it would seem that a lot of people were present in and around the area, and the book hints at many people having done the deed. I really liked Tracks character, ever since I’ve read the Seal Team 7 books, I know that there is an amazing crossover!... Hopefully he gets his own book with Valerie! (Even though he did come up rather abruptly)
“Track is a fun-loving teen same as the rest of us, he just has a more volatile personality I guess you can say. And a healthy dose of honor and loyalty for those he perceives to be his friends.”
Jace’s obsession and constant worry for Sian is sky rocketing. He needs her secured, around him and smiling and happy all the time. Where earlier he loved to see her happy, now its his life goal, his purpose, and the cops sniffing around him, as a suspect is making her worried and crying.
Sian is not left behind in her own possessiveness with Jace. But their argument regarding Mandy left me a little bit of a bad taste, especially regarding Jace’s volatile behavior and severe anger reactions.
“Because that, that (Sian) was made for me brother, from her first breath to her last.”
Jace and Sian have sweet and steamy moments scattered through the book, just re connecting after having faced the reality of possibly loosing each other.
Jared and Belle, and Shane and Tammy’s relationship is moving ahead quite nicely. Looking at the way Jace behaves with Sian, these guys have also picked up a few cues in dealing with their significant halves, whether its reassuring them of their love by claiming them again, or standing up for them and protecting them. Its all too cute!
“BELLE: He makes me nervous the way he looks at me. He’s the first guy who’s ever really looked at me and saw me, but more than that, he acts as if he likes what he sees.”
Where as Mandy is plotting more drama from behind bars, with life of not situations. She milking her damsel in distress, amnesia pretense completely and to the hilt, roping in the doctors, her parents and even the nurses into sympathizing with her, so that she can manipulate and use them later.
All these 6 books, could have easily been one complete story. Would have been more fun reading it, I think.
1. Jace has gotten too emotionally abusive. I don't understand why people like him. The author has completely crossed the line from Alpha male to obsessive abuser. I am just waiting for him to actually hit her.
2. The series went from being about high school drama to murders. WTF!
3. Too many character point of views. Adding so many takes away from the main characters.
I've been reading Jordan Silver for days one book after another...yummier, Seal series, now Eden High series, secondary characters are just as yummie and oh so funny....love the storyline a bit different than most....can't wait to next installment....intense alpha shortness.....
A great continuation of the angst and drama if the families
I can't wait to see how the rest unfolds!!! Exciting drama of these kids and their parents, well chronologically the are kids but they are mature for their ages I love that many of the kids have such great examples in their parents
