Rate this book
Samantha Bennett has the perfect life. A beautiful home, a loving husband, and all the designer labels a girl could want. But she is lonely. Feeling trapped at home while her husband John works long hours, Samantha craves love and attention. She is desperate for the one thing she can’t have - a child.

Following one let down after another, Sam questions her existence. Her lonely lifestyle drives her to want more. She looks to fill the void from John’s hectic business schedule.

That's when the Millers move in across the street.

Derek and Elizabeth have moved to Long Island so that Elizabeth, a successful pediatrician, can take up a new post close to her family. She is expecting their first child, and Derek, a former sports writer, has given up work to stay home with the baby and write a novel. Quickly, the Miller’s become friends with the Bennett’s. But cracks soon appear in their marriage as Elizabeth works long hours at the hospital.

Derek’s head has been turned and now he too is faced with his own demons.

As temptations grow, Sam begins to slip back into her old mischievous ways. She is
willing to risk everything she and John have worked for, because for Sam it is all about the thrill of the chase.

However, Derek has his own agenda and is playing by a different set of rules. This leaves Sam even more confused. She begins to question if it’s all worth it…

Have you ever wanted something so much that you would risk everything for it?

Even if it meant hurting the ones closest to you?

Without giving away any spoilers, this story was told from a different angle, which I found to be fresh and new. I thought it was a very nice touch. Not every main hero/heroine has to be so perfect or be the victim, just saying.

I really liked the characters, they were well developed. While reading, I must have felt every emotion there is. There were moments of suspense/mystery, other times I found myself reading with my mouth wide open and then I had the A-ha moment. The story really grabbed my attention from start to finish.

Overall, I loved this book. It was creative, intriguing, and enough to pull me back for more.

** I received an ARC from the authors in exchange for an honest review. **

I loved this book! It’s a fresh story and so well written. The authors kept the plot intriguing from beginning to end. They did a fantastic job leading my emotions where they needed to go throughout the book. Just when I wasn’t sure if what I was feeling about a character or an event was appropriate, they validated it. And my feelings were all over the place! I went from loving a character and sympathizing with them, to wanting to choke them, and vice versa. There were plot twists I didn’t anticipate and it kept me going until the very end. I kept waiting for that “big something” books always have, but I just couldn’t guess what it might be. And the authors didn’t disappoint when the time came. Wow! Time of Want is a gripping story from the very beginning.

I give Time of Want 4 stars, leaning so, so close to 5 stars. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because it’s the first in a trilogy, and I always struggle with giving the first book in a series 5 stars without having read the others. But if the next two books are as good as the first, I’ll be coming back and upping this to 5 stars for sure! And I have no doubt Amanda and Stacie will knock the next two out of the park as well.

Let me start by saying that I am a tough cookie to please. I read this book bc a close friend recommended it and I'm glad I listened.
This book kept me on my toes from the very beginning, not a dull moment ever. I couldn't put it down. It was fast and easy and left me wanting more with every chapter. I found myself angry at characters, sympathizing with them and then cheering them on. I have never felt so many different emotions in one book. I say that is pretty amazing writing right there!
I don't usually get involved with leaving reviews, normally I just star books, BUT I really think this book deserves the credit. I am never left with the feeling of 'Wow' after reading a book and this book did just that. I also don't give many 5 stars! I look forward to the next book in this trilogy.

It's official. I am addicted to this story, and can't wait for the next installment in the series! I couldn't put the book down. The care that was taken in developing these characters is evident in every phrase that these lovely ladies wrote. I loved the gradual enlightenment of Sam's past. There is definitely a dark spot on her soul. The losses that she has endured are heartbreaking, and although I don't agree with her choices, I can sympathize with the feelings that led to her indiscretions. I can't wait to see how the rest of this story plays out, and what will come of the twisted relationships between these couples. 10 thumbs up!

I absolutely loved this book! It was addicting to read, once I started it was impossible to put down! I got so involved in the characters and had a love/hate relationship with Samantha, as a wife I hated her, but enjoyed reading every minute of her and her drama. And don't get me started on Derek..... He was a love/hate/love relationship and I loved it! I cannot wait for the 2nd volume‼️

I highly recommend Time Of Want to anyone who loves a good quick moving book that leaves you wanting more‼️

Wow! Powerful! What a different and unique way to tell a story. Refreshing to read a book where the main character has flaws. It's too often I read a book and think no one is this perfect. To read real raw emotions is heart wrenching and fantastic! At times I hated Samantha, other times I envied her, and then I was rooting for her! What a mixed bag of emotions, and for me that's a great story! I can't wait to read the next two books in this trilogy. I would recommend to everyone to go read this unique, interesting and at times heart wrenching story!

I highly recommend this book!

This is the first book I've had the pleasure of reading by Amanda Bianco, and Stacie Jacobs.

Let me start off by saying, if I could have given this book 6 Stars, I would have.

This is not your ordinary cheating spouse romance novel. This book is suspenseful, sizzling and a real page turner.

The main characters, John and Samantha Bennett and Derek and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Miller, are so well written I found myself rutting for each of them separately. Throughout the book, the writers do a superb job of peeling back the intricate layers of each character, revealing their dark secrets and individual personalities.

Throught the book it becomes evident that not only do both marriages have issues, but Samantha is hiding a dark secret. As the story unravels, the writers do an excellent job of weaving a sinister plot throughout the book.
The chemistry between Samantha, and Derek is hot. It sizzles off the page, building and creating drama and suspense, that intensive with every turn of the page.
Overall, this book is well written with an excellent plot.

Don't start this book unless you have a couple days to finish it. I couldn't put this book down.

Well done Amanda and Stacie! This book rocks! I can hardly wait to read the next book!

It's a MUST read.

Stacie Jacobs and Amanda Bianco.. What a great read.. I couldn't put it down! OMG I loved it from the first page until then. Samantha type of girl that wants all & whatever is on her mind it has to be done. She doesn't care who she hurts in the end when is to please herself she doesn't have no remorse. Derek married using the excuse that's feeling lonely make his biggest mistake. Would he learn the hard way? You don't know what you have until it's about to be gone. Everyone learn from their mistakes. I hope Derek learned his lesson.

I love all characters. My fave Elizabeth always independent, hard working wife/mom doesn't let nothing destroy her..

I truly recommend this book if you want a book that will leave you glued this is the one.

Thanks girls for this amazing book.. Jumping go read book #2 ( is free at the time of posting )

I was leery of this story because of the subject matter but I heard it was good and since it's KU I figured I had nothing to lose. We start off with Samantha, a lonely wife with too much time on her hands. She is married to John, who works long hours and travels far too often to have a happy wife and marriage. Across the street we have Derek and his pregnant wife, Elizabeth. She also works far too many hours to maintain a happy home life. When the lonely spouses find themselves attracted to one another, things get complicated. Sometimes, though, things aren't as they appear. Time Of Want is a fast paced story of less than perfect marriages but with a hope things can always change. I'm looking forward to the next two books in this trilogy.

Time of want
Review done by M.Taiseer (Dark0lover on wattpad)

First of all, this books gets 4 stars from me. 5 from a friend whom I unusually allowed to borrow the book -maybe because she paid my yes with an angel food cake-. Anyway, I got to discover the book by some cover reveal contest (I think it was held by wicked covers or something related to them since all the covers were their designs) and I was integrated by the book cover.. very well made and it was the second reason for buying the book (the first for the story description on the back)… note: the cover does not affect the review in anyway, I am just stating that it's pretty.

What I liked most about about the book that even if it's story was not that original the authors still managed to make it interesting and fun to read. There were many secrets I didn't know of even though they were hinted in the beginning. The plot flows perfectly and not like most books with what I call "filler scenes".

I will not be talking about what happens inside the pages for fear of spoilers. We all hate them.

I think that sums my 4 review goods and now why did I take the 1 star away?
Well to be honest the book is not written as perfectly as the description. The writing WAS good but it was not what I had expected. (Half star) though I must add this: somehow the scenes had life in them. And to be honest I read many sex scenes.. detailed* even though the sex scenes here didn't include sexy or steamy or even hot acts but still the writing somehow made me feel I was the main male character and by that I ruined two good boxers… I think I need refund for my money.. The boxers were not cheap -.- … xD kidding, but seriously they weren't cheap :P

The other thing is that my heart failed at liking anyone of the characters. I honestly hated them all and couldn't feel sorry for any at any point though it was clear the authors tried to make Sam a lovable character but failed. But I do must admit I liked reading a story from the point of view of the evil characters, not every book should be all about flowers. But each book must have at least one lovable character (Half star).

Do I recommend this book to you buyer? YES.
get it. Hope you'll enjoy it like I did. (Finished it in two days aka 3 bus drives each one is an hour and something long.) And I'll be buying book 2 and 3.. (I wonder what three will be about, to understand what I mean read the book.)

I have to say that I was more than thrilled with Time of Want by debut authors Amanda Bianco and Staci Jacobs. I went into reading this book with certain expectations but, they blew me out of the water with their creative minds.

The prelude by far pulled me right in and I had to keep reading. But I wasn't sure where the story was going to go after that. We meet Samantha and John and at first they seem to be the "perfect" couple. He is a successful lawyer and she is the ever loving and supportive wife. But there are skeletons in their closet and soon we get a little glimpse of them one piece at a time.

Samantha has suffered the ultimate loss as a woman and my heart just broke for her. She tried to move on and live her life but her demons seem to be stalking her at every turn. Then when she seems at her lowest, new neighbors move in across the street from them, and we get to meet the ever swoon worthy Derek and his wife Elizabeth.

Sam sets her sights on Derek and to be honest I could clearly tell that he didn't stand a chance against her manipulative charms. This was one heck of a steamy relationship! But there is more going on than meets the eye.

The story took some twists and turns that I did not see coming. Sam is an extremely complex and layered character and just when you think you hate her, you find yourself connecting to her on a different level. This is a story of loss, love and betrayal that will take your breath away at times. I was totally invested in the story and cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Time of Want
By Amanda Bianco & Stacie Jacobs
Samantha, at first glance it was though that she was just a nosy neighbor.
I then realized that no, she was just a bored housewife; whose husband works and goes out of town far too much.
Then there's her crazy side.
She's a lot wrapped into one cute little package!
At times I felt sorry for her and then there were those times that I wanted to shake her.
Sam has suffered two miscarriages, her husband is rarely home, and there's a hot new neighbor whose pregnant wife works way too much.
Samantha and the hot new neighbor start an affair...
if I say too much more I feel I will ruin it for others! You need to read this book!!!
This book at the beginning made me feel like I was waiting for something to happen and when it happened WOW!!! It was nonstop from that point. I hated to have to put it down. When I got to the end, I was ready to read the next book in the series. There is so much that could happen with everyone in this book. Very easy, fast read. I can not wait to read the next book.

This is not my typical read, as I tend to lean toward more light and happier storylines, but I must say, I was deeply impressed with this story. Time of Want is not your average romance and isn't one of those lovey feel good books. Touching on the difficult subjects of child loss, adultery and self esteem issues, it's at times dark and heart-wrenching. But, it also pulls at your emotions and draws you in. I could literally feel my heart racing at times when I'd get anxious about a scene. For me, that's an example of good writing. One that not only makes you emotionally involved in what's going on, but also gets a physical reaction out of you.

Not for the faint of heart, if you're looking for a bright summer read, this book probably isn't the book for you, but if you want something different with a bit of an edge, it's well worth the time. I look forward to the next installment.

Time of want (The Times Trilogy #1) Amanda Bianco (4 Stars)

* Gifted a copy By Author During PageCurls' Halloween Hop

Samantha has been muttling through life a hallowed shell of a woman , because of all the Heart Wrenching things that have happened in her, but once the new neighbors move in will she finally discover what she's been missing all along ?

This was a great , fast paced storyline that really grippes ahold of you until the end of the book. It takes it's readers on a rollercoster ride of different emotions . Some of them hard on the heart , but the characters Definitely pull you in and cast a spell over you .
Cannot wait until the next book in this Trilogy is released to see where the author takes us next .

The book was a little hard to get into at first, but quickly drew my attention. The characters were interesting, witty, and a realistic feel to them. As much as I liked the book, I did find a few things that took away from thoroughly enjoying it. The first happened to be the length of the book. I am all for reading a long book, but kept feeling like the end was coming soon and I was still at 60%. The only other thing that bothered me was the point of view. In some areas, it was difficult to tell whose perspective I was reading (Derek or Samantha). The bigger problem was the random interjection of Elizabeth's perspective. Despite finding it a bit predictable, I thought the book was well written and had an interesting plot.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Well I am a firm believer of staying true to your love/lover, so the main topic within this book is infidelity and made me uncomfortable at times. The book was well written, and I really like the main characters. At moments you'll with love or hate the characters, you'll feel their emotions so well. I almost felt guilty just reading it, so it is bittersweet that I do want to continue reading the next book. I hate the topic, but I need to know what makes Samantha tick. And the ending OMG, you're trying to kill me.

Reviewed on behalf of 2 Girls Who Love Books!

This isn't normally my type of book to read.
But nevertheless, I enjoyed it.
Sam is a housewife who battles depression, miscarriage, and loneliness.
She sparks interest in the new neighbors specifically the new man across the street.
But is it what she seems?

Overall very well written story with a great storyline. I am very anxious for book two.

Time of Want is the first book in a planned trilogy by writers Amanda Bianco and Staci Jacobs. Although touted as a romance, I didn’t find anything romantic about it. I’d call it contemporary fiction.

The story is primarily about Samantha. She’s a pampered stay-at-home wife with nothing to do. She is a cat on the prowl looking for a distraction. She doesn’t want to leave her husband or his wealth; she just wants a diversion. Her perpetual dissatisfaction is probably a symptom of her dissatisfaction with herself. Sam’s husband John is not fully developed; he is almost a tangent to the story as his work keeps him frequently on the road and out of the story. You can sense the underlying discord in their relationship, and that John expects Sam to be unappreciative and difficult. Sam’s eventual diversion comes in the form of new neighbors. Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Derek are happily married and expecting a baby. Lizzie’s job brought them to Long Island; Derek had to leave behind his job and friends, but he happily supports his wife’s career. He seems like a great guy, however, his stay-at-home status makes him an all-too-eager target for Sam’s not-too-subtle advances. Lizzie, like John, is for the most part on the fringes of the story. I have a feeling, that they will have bigger roles as the trilogy progresses given the ending of Time of Want.

I really disliked Samantha from the start. I’m certain that her miscarriages and loneliness were supposed to make readers feel empathy toward her, but she did nothing to deserve empathy. I’m not a fan of adultery in real life or novels, but sometimes it is a necessary plot point. I didn’t see it as a necessary stepping-stone in this book until the end when it became apparent that Time of Want mainly sets up the story and the characters. I’m letting go of my disgust about the adultery, for now. The story would have been richer if some of the tertiary characters were introduced earlier in the story instead of springing up toward the end just to present the obstacle/trigger for the story culmination.

The plot was evenly paced. Time of Want was not a page-turner for me, and the only aspect that compelled me to continue reading was the hope that karma would catch up to Sam and Derek. In this case, karma might be named Mrs. Kowalski. Would I continue with the series? Yes, I’d read more just because the ending of Time of Want was a clear segue to the possibility of multi-faceted drama. I think there is much potential for the rest of the trilogy, and as usual, I’ll be hoping for a redemptive ending.

Thrill of the chase pulls me in every time.....

Let me start with that I fell in love with this book when first seeing the cover. From that moment, I was a fan and wanted to read it. These ladies did a great job on pulling me in even deeper with the story line. The characters were developed as the book moved forward in the story. I also like that the story made me like Sam one minute and dislike her very much the next. It was a great love-hate relationship between her and I because I am a sucker for the “thrill of the chase” too. The ending left you with your mind going “oh no what now”. Amanda Bianco and Stacie Jacobs did a great job with this book and I am looking forward to the next two books to see what happens to Sam and the others that we met in Time to Want.
