I just can't recommend this ENOUGH!! Over the past 7 weeks I've managed to go through the entire bible from Genesis to Revelation while studying the main themes and following the thread of the story of God from start to end. In my opinion this study is EXCELLENT and although I read about it being a beginners study, I do not think it's fair to pigeonhole it to just new believers. I've been a Christian for 16 years (marked my re-birthday just this week!) and I took away many new things from this study that I had not previously known! I think anyone who feels like they'd like a more solid grip on the scriptures as one text (vs several books) that is cohesive would do well to go through this study. It's been right in line with the last two studies I've done (Sermon on the Mount and Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin) and I think it's a much needed resource for any Christian who wants to deepen their knowledge of The Almighty. Dive in and give this 7 weeks and I can almost guarantee you will be changed!!

Great Bible study for anybody, but would be perfect for new believers. I enjoyed her writing style and her humour. I did knock off one star just because the meat of the study was much a refresher for myself. It was nothing I hadn't heard before. I would recommend this study more to new believers just starting out, but this is a good study for more mature believers who want a refresher.

Angie seems like a really sweet lady, however, her cheesy sarcasm drove me nuts!

I wanted to love this study because I love other books and teaching by Angie Smith. Unfortunately, I did not. This study was filled with misplaced and inappropriate humor. The formatting was funky in places. And I felt like it was too much of a fly over and there were missed connections all over the place.

I have done tons and tons of different Bible Studies throughout my life. I grew up as a Christian but I cannot say that I understand the Bible. Its complex and very overwhelming to me. I have studied theology but still am a little confused when I (occasionally) attend church and the preacher says .... " now you all now about John?.." I am always nodding and looking around but thinking, nope dont know em.

This book was a wonderful and much needed breakdown of the Bible in terms that were written for me. I felt like Angie Smith had written this book specifically for me and was talking directly to me through the funny and witty texts throughout the book. Shes funny and a bit sarcastic and I loved every bit of this book. So much so that in the end I did not want to finish. I mean I drew it out. And now that Im done I am a bit sad but also so proud of myself.

I also watched the videos that went along with the lesson. Each one not too long to loose my attention but not to short that I dont get anything out of it. I loved this whole freakin lesson and will recommend it to everyone I know...

Great overview of the story of Jesus in scripture. If you are a little fuzzy on on the events and people in the Old Testament and want a solid basic foundation. This is for you. It really helped me get my mental biblical timeline sorted out better. I will refer back to it and I will gladly go through it again with someone who desires the same or a new believer. (I've been a Christian for many years and still benefitted from this study.)
I did not do the videos. Just the book study.
Angie has humourous statements through out. Sometimes they sit well and sometimes 🤦‍♀️. But I got more out of this than the humor so I won't take a star away for that.

My favorite aspect of this Bible study was the genealogy. I feel like I have a much better grasp on understanding who and how people are related to each other in the Bible now. That alone helped me have a deeper understanding and "seamless feel" to the Bible.

Angie Smith's voice is very relatable and has a sense of humor to her personality that made her feel real. I really enjoyed the daily seat work/homework in the book. Each daily section typically took me 20-30 minutes to complete. Although I did watch the videos that accompany the book, and they are lovely, I wouldn't say you need them to have a full and just as deep experience simply by going through the book itself.

Although this took me most of the year to read - hands down my FAVORITE Bible study I’ve ever done. I’ve been a Christian my whole life and I learned so much through this study. Will never not recommend it to anyone - 5/5 no notes!! So so good!

Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story by Angie Smith is the fifth book I've read and studied with the Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies ministry. I truly value this organization and the resources it offers through their website, social media, and FirstFive app. I purchased this book through the Proverbs 31 website because a portion of the sales goes back into the ministry of spreading the gospel, which is what God has commanded Christians to do.

In all the ways I've engaged with Proverbs 31 over the years, this has, by far, been my favorite study. Angie Smith is just your Christian girl next door who loves the Lord and His people. She's taken the Bible, which can appear daunting to some, synthesized it and presented it in such a way that it is easily digestible for anyone. Developing a relationship with God must include reading His Word, and the author has helped readers with this tool.

The book is easy to read and flows very well. It includes worksheet pages to help the reader retain the content. I really appreciated the timeline map at the back of the book. It highlights key milestones in the greatest story every told. This book is not only a retelling of the Bible but a resource that can be used over and over again. I am thankful for Smith's insight, her vulnerability, and her transparency. The Bible can and is for everyone, and she does a lovely job sharing her perspective with Seamless.

Recommendation: If you are a Christian or curious about Christianity, I think this book would be good for you. Beginners to Bible scholars are sure to get something from the content of this wonderful book.

Until next time ... Read on!

Regardless of whether I purchase a book, borrow a book, or receive a book in exchange for review, my ultimate goal is to be honest, fair, and constructive. I hope you've found this review helpful.

I usually do not review the books I read because I don't have strong enough opinions about them to motivate me to do so, but this book is different. This book was amazing. It changed my entire point of view of the Bible. My thoughts toward the Bible were that it was so overwhelming and confusing. I couldn't understand how people first of all, would want to read the Bible and then second, actually get something out of it. Going through this study of learning who wrote each book and why and what they were going through in their life the time they wrote the book has completely changed my mindset of the Bible. I consider the Bible more of a friend now instead of a stranger. Bible stories were linked together when I before saw them as separate chunks. So I highly recommend this book if you would like to understand the Bible and have a closer relationship to it and God himself.

I really enjoyed this book I read for my Bible Study group. Angie Smith did a great job highlighting key parts from the Bible and weaving them together as a ‘Seamless’ story. For anyone that wants to gain a better and deeper understanding of the Bible, I would suggest this book.

I can’t recommend this Bible study enough! It’s perfect for anyone who is looking to understand the Bible from start to finish or is looking to understand Christianity a bit better! This study breaks down each book into digestible points and thought provoking reflections; pointing out key takeaways, how those play into the story of Jesus Christ/God/Christianity and the related connections to other books of the Bible.

I commend the author’s writing style as she interjects relatable humor and thoughts throughout to keep the reader engaged and present in learning. Some of her jokes and personal inputs can be a bit off putting but to me it broke up the density of learning the Bible, giving a little reprieve from the seriousness of the information.

This is such a great study that takes you through the entire Bible! Showing how “seamless” it is from beginning to end. I know I’ve tried to read some chapters of the Bible (hello Numbers and Leviticus) and was confused and bored. Now I can see how it all fits together! Angie Smith does a great job giving you facts, but keeping the tone of the information fun and entertaining. Not that’s she mocking, she’s completely serious when she needs to be. Her words convey the depth at just the right times. I definitely learned a lot during this study and it makes me excited to try another reread through the Bible. I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books. I highly recommend for those who are newbies, in betweeners (like me), or more advanced. Everyone can learn something in this study.

I learned so much from this study. It was the first one in a long time that I really liked. It was unquestionable rooted in scripture and also shared new and helpful perspectives and made connections that I had never made after knowing these stories for years.

I loved this study because it took you through the entire bible in an easy to digest (and quick) way. As someone who did not grow up in the church and therefore didn't learn the stories of the bible early on, this was a great way to feel caught up and better understand the whole story, especially the old testament.

Having done many Bible studies in my adult years, I found this one to be so refreshing and offering such an amazing new perspective! Angie came to the Lord when SHE was an adult and had to discover the Bible and its stories from a fresh viewpoint. She breaks it down so well, and never have I understood the chronology/stories of the Bible as well as I do now. I know there is still a lot to learn, but I feel like I at least have a grasp on it now!! If you're contemplating doing this study, DO IT- you will not regret it!

This study started really strong and I Had high hopes for it. However, I felt it ended very rushed and incomplete. It felt like someone was behind the writer saying “ok time to wrap it up now” so she just threw some things together last minute to meet the deadline.
