[Menage Amour ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Menage a Trois Romance, M/M/M, shape-shifters, HEA] Max had survived a nightmare after being kidnapped by hunters. After being rescued, and traveling to his new home on a farm where many paranormal creatures lived, he found his mates. One was Roan, a gargoyle. The other was Garth Danvers, a wolf shifter. There was one huge obstacle, however. His mates hated each other and he was stuck in the middle, wondering how he could change their feelings. Neither of the big, bad alpha-types wanted to be the one to submit, to be less dominant than the other. It went against their nature. There was no doubt that they loved Max, but there seemed no hope that they would ever be able to create the special bond between them. Love and babies were put on hold. They wouldn't happen for Max if his mates decided to kill each other and put an end to his dreams. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
This series was amazing. I loved every book leading up to this. I don't know WHAT the hell happened with this book. In the shifter world, mates are everything. EVERYTHING. And that's made very clear in the first four books that this is a face in this world. But all of a sudden, one mate bond doesn't matter, because for no reason, one mate has chosen one over the other. And instead of anyone helping, or counselling, or ANY of that, the ENTIRE clan works to disappear the two mates overnight after a KISS led to a growl. NOT an actual crime. Not a fight. Nope. That's it, you growled, no more mates for you, live your life alone forever unable to even kiss another man. Yup, for a sheriff of the town who strives for justice for all people under him, that makes total sense that he would accept that.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This book was such bull crap I stopped reading partway through. And the other reviews I've read where they actually skimmed the rest of the book just reinforce my decision to abandon this book. CHAINING HIM DOWN?! Ok, so now there's RAPE involved. Intentional rape. It's absolutely contrary to all of the established rules for this fantasy world, characters act absolutely contrary to their established personalities and moraes. They ignore all law, because the author ... decided that actually a wolf can growl sometimes and that's threatening to a STONE GARGOYLE. Yup.
I'm really sad because I thought I'd found a new great author to read, but this book ... wow. It's more of an exorcise in torture, psychological and emotional. That's not what I read fantasy for. I have the news on TV to watch if I want this kind of psychological torture. Imma go find hm, any other shifter fantasy book out there. This one has scarred me, I need some happy feels.

Okay this definitely was not my favorite book out of the series so far... I felt absolutely nothing for Ronan or Max I actually didn't like them... I didn't like how Garth was the bad one because his wolf wouldn't submit but yet Ronan wouldn't submit to him either at first but Garth was the difficult one... I skimmed thru the rest of the book when Garth had to be chained down for Ronan to claim him that was ridiculous to me... And to me Max just automatically sided with Ronan from the beginning... I will continue to read the series when the next book comes out I just hope that it was it's way better than this one...
It was ok, I didn't enjoy this book that much. I liked the main leads but I didn't like how their relationship developed. I actually wanted to know a bit more about Max and how he was healing from what he's been through but it was glossed over. I didn't understand how it was possible for Garth's wolf to be able to reject one mate, Roan, and even needing to be restrained so as to not hurt him... In this series we are not told what makes a person your mate, only that some are able to identify them, by smell or feeling, but there's no more information and even though in the other books it didn't matter much in this one I think it was an important aspect. From the information we were given so far mates are sacred, so why was this situation able to come about I have no idea, I would have understood if the human part was against the mating because of prejudice, trauma or whatever other reason, trying to fight the mating pull. But I don't understand the wolf being the one to reject the mating. The author tried to explain it a bit but it fell quite short and didn't fit the rest of the series so far. I hope the next book is better, I'll give it a chance and see how it goes.
This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Max is a fox shifter that was rescued from a hunter hell hole by other members of the clan. When he gets to the farm he meets both of his mates Garth and Roan. Garth is an Alpha wolf shifter and the local sheriff. Roan is one of the gargoyle guards formally called Creature until Max renamed him. Max should have been living in mated bliss, accept both of his mates are seriously Alpha and neither will submit to the other in order to complete the bonding.
Garth wants to bond with both of his mates, except his wolf will not let him. Even the thought of submitting has his wolf on the verge of going feral. There was a very real danger that Garth could lose control of his wolf and it would attempt to kill Roan instead of mate with him.
Roan and Max have to decide if a three-way mating is even possible or they would be better off as a couple. With the obstruction of Garth’s wolf, the three are left with almost no choices. Max may be smaller than his two other mates, but he is no push over and can make hard choices when he has to. Roan is willing to do whatever Max decides. The two of them together are very cute and loving, even if a piece of them is missing.
It takes Garth almost completely losing both Roan and Max to make him accept a drastic choice to force a submission onto his wolf. Extremely hot and kinky measures have to be taken in order to get Garth’s wolf to submit to Roan and complete the mating bond. This book was super-hot and sexy in the love scene department. There is a lot of bondage and some other wicked sex between the three mates.
I enjoyed this addition to the series. I think this is by far the hottest book in the series. It was also a show of what a mate is willing to do to claim the two men he loves.
I did NOT like Max, found him to be an ass. He blamed Garth for everything and while he was partly at fault I did not think it was only him. I found it despicable that they just left him without a word. Honestly, to me Max did not love Garth at all and Roan was not much better. I think that Garth should have told them to sod off and go find someone who was willing to fight for him, from the beginning. I found it very annoying that neither Max nor Roan EVER said sorry to Garth for abandoning him.
I am looking forward to the NeXT book in the series.
I loved this book about Max, Roan and Garth. Garth's wolf was having all kinds of issues with Roan. Roan and Garth are very dominant in nature. Max mated with Roan but not Garth. Eventually Garth came up with a plan to get his wolf to accept Roan. It worked after awhile finally and Garth,Roan and Max were able to complete their mating. These three faced all kinds of up and downs but they kept trying and finally made their relationship work. Erin
Another really great book in this series I love it and will probably read it again too ...I can't wait for the next book to come out from Lynn Stark ....
