Heather is named after the famed heroine from The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. Her parents undoubtedly sparked a passion for writing in their daughter which would grow over time. She’s a self-proclaimed nerd, loving all things supernatural and superheroes. She’s an avid a reader as well as a writer. Her obsession with Coke Icees, dark chocolate, and dark coffee (with lots of cream and sugar) border on the absurd. You can find her with her earphones plugged in and typing away, shuttling her kids back and forth to ballgames, cheer, or dance, or her nose pointed at her Kindle. Heather was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up in a small suburb of the same. She now lives in Katy, Texas.
I loved the characters and storyline of this book. It was fast pace with a great build up for more books to come. I didn't like the ending though because it just dropped off with the expectation that it would continue in the next book. I am ok with books ending with a next book to come, however, it's been three years and there is no next book. In the end of this book it says that the next will be out in summer of fall of 2015. It's 2018, and it seems like the author and book three has disappeared. As long as you go in reading both books with the expectation of no further books then they are really quite good. I hope this author is ok (as she mentioned in her closing she was having a hard time)and will continue her series.
