“Value the people who sacrifice their something for you ... because maybe that something was their everything.”
- Unknown

The brief was simple—infiltrate our rival’s crew and steal the info we needed. Easy, right? I thought so, too, until I met Ryan. A woman with the ability to change my view on everything: who I was, who I am now, and what I want to be remembered for when the reaper comes to collect.

I’m a killer, a scapegoat for hire—the man who’ll take the fall for your immoral operation if you offer me the right price. I’ve made enemies along the way, and I’m forever watching my back. In a world as corrupt as mine, love and relationships remain an unobtainable target. So I act the fool, parade as the playboy, but all I really want is to belong to somebody.

She made me think it could be her, that a woman so haunted by her past might actually need a man like me—somebody who can kill with his bare hands, a man who would sacrifice it all to see those he loved kept safe.

That was, until she turned the table and risked it all to help me.

When best-laid plans fall apart, and we’re both put to the test, will love or loyalty prevail?

Devil Smoke
Max Henry
The Butcher Boys Series
5 -- BB stars

The order of the series is:

Devil You Know – Malice and Jane

Devil On Your Back – Vince and Sonya (Malice’s Dad)

Devil May Care -- Sawyer (swoon) Short Novella on Sawyer, his father Carlos and Dana. We meet Sawyer in Devil on your Back and he is grade A psychotic. This novella gives you the needed insight on why he is the way he is. THE COVER ... dear Sweet Baby Jesus.

Devil in the Detail -- Ty and Ramona’s Story with some Sawyer thrown in. HEHEHE!

Devil Smoke

AND I LOVE THEM ALL! -- And now its over! NO NO NO! Lets talk about the covers of all of these books -- how much time do you have ladies? Jeezuz .... Max lets us know, at the end, that we are sure to see the boys in The Fallen Saints Series. We are getting King’s story next. YES! After King we get Hooch and then probably Tap. Im pumped! But lets get to it. Oh and by the way the cover on this release. That’s Don Allen .. Dear lawd help us all. Yes Im still on the cover ... I know Im all over the place but Im distraught and happy all at the same time.

I absolutely LOVE the prologue of this release. The sixth paragraph is riveting. The last two sentences in the prologue … amazing. Freaking love it.

Bronx is a killer for hire. He is a Butcher Boy. Ty has led Bronx into some serious stuff with no one other than Eddie. Hooch, King and the boys all believe Bronx can get in there and get out doing what is expected. Bronx hopes he can walk away from the stuff he is shoving up his nose in order to look the part. It makes him forget, it makes him feel worthy and alive. Wondering how Ty keeps it at bay he isn’t sure he is cut out for the job but if he doesn’t then what? He owes this to the players involved. He owes this to the boys; all of them. Bronx needs to find the network of dealers and when he does he can lay it at Kings feet and walk away from all of the shit. He can venture off to a warm place and an overdue vacation. The problem is he walks away alone. Alone is not want he wants anymore; he wants someone to wake up with, spend his life with and make it matter but he knows he doesn’t deserve it. Who would want him and the hell that comes with him? No one .. that’s who.

Ryan is consumed with the man she continues to see at the bar and now he is here at the party. Why is the question; but she cant be distracted from getting the information she needs. Gunter is a pig but he keeps her safe. Tommy doesn’t belong in their Nazi white supremacy crap but he’s here too. Gunter should shield his brother from Eddie and Easy but he pulled him in. For years she’s put up with their nasty ways of supremacy but eventually she will find out what she needs and the man walking towards her cannot be a factor. She cant let him ruin what she has worked her entire life to find out. She will find what she needs and then she will run.

This book is fantastic; Bronx and Ryan and two very tortured souls but in different ways. The pain they hold inside is almost enough to break you while reading. Max has such a magnificent way of bringing you straight into the pages and into the story. I was gutted at the loss of one particular individual. I hoped please don’t let this happen … but in the end we aren’t the ones allowed to make that decision and bring those feelings barreling out like a tidal wave. The tables turn almost half way into Devil Smoke. Its brilliant.

You need to read this final book. The Butcher Boys have kept us begging for more and now we have them all. I just don’t know if its enough and Im ready to let go. Max you slay me! I just want to wrap these up and keep them in a little box with some other favorite authors. What a wonderful world that would be!

Click this one up and all the others too. Amazing men on these pages; brutal and honest; bad ass and sexy as hell. I received an ARC for an honest review. Thank you Max! I will be waiting for the Fallen Saints with anxiety laced thoughts! Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets!

I'm really sad to see this series end, but the author has promised we'll see recurring characters in future books. I've loved every book, my only disappointment being that I had thought, and was looking forward to, a whole book devoted to Sawyer. He had a novella, but I was excited to learn more about him and had just assumed he'd get a book later. Since this series is over, I am hoping that he'll be the focus of one of the MC books in the new series she's going to write. He wasn't a Butcher Boy, so I can see how his story wouldn't fit in with this series.

This book focused on Bronx and must be read in series order or you'll have no idea what's going on. He's working undercover as a cocaine user/buyer in order to learn more about the big time dealers who happen to be lethal neo-Nazi thugs. He's struggling from the very beginning with self doubt, loneliness, and the lure of the euphoria from the cocaine. He's watched everyone around him find their "someone" and can't help but be a little jealous. He's never found anyone who thought he was "enough" for them, they always leave.

Ryan has been a part of this neo-Nazi family since she was a little girl and taken in after the death of her parents. She disagrees with their beliefs and says she doesn't love the man she's been with all these years, but she sticks around waiting to find out what really happened with her parents. I admit to finding that excuse for the things she let go on around her and that she participated in, weak to say the least. Which led me to believe she was a weak person...which I still maintain that thought, she WAS weak in my eyes whether that's what I was supposed to think or not. It wasn't until Bronx entered her life that she began to show some strength, and she turned around quickly. Meeting Bronx woke up something inside of her that made her see her life for what it was, playing a dangerous game of pretend. But she had gotten herself into an even more dire situation than she realized, with people way more dangerous than the ones she grew up with, including the notorious Carlos we know from previous books.

Falling for Ryan is the worst thing Bronx can do right now, with the severity of the situation he and his MC friends are because of Carlos. Her mere presence in his life has the possibility of it all blowing to hell and taking lots of lives with it. It's at times like this, when the choices seem few and the risk is so great that we learn who really loves us; the ones that care enough about us to risk everything for us.

I felt like this book did a great job of showing how the Butcher Boys were such a close knit family that grew to include the MC brothers, which was unexpected. MCs are known not to accept outsiders so easily, but Bronx and his friends were accepted and had people willing to fight for them and take care of them when they needed it. Bronx finding happiness and finally realizing he was "enough" for someone was the perfect ending to this series.

~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~

"sometimes, all it takes is the comfort of a kindred soul for you to be able to dance in the dark, hand in hand with the monsters that have hidden under your bed since that day you first failed and weren't enough."

Chills...just the prologue spread goose bumps along my flesh and had me chewing my bottom lip. Devil Smoke, the fifth in this series, quite literally is the most amazing one yet. The prologue sets the tone and it captures the epitome of our biggest flaw - our fear of never being good enough. Striking a chord within the reader that everyone can empathise with and understand the nature of that beast.

Bronx is a Butchers Boy and it's his time to shine. Going under cover to loosen Eddie's stranglehold on the drug market and repay his debts owed is Bronx enough to get the job done? Acting like he needs to score he goes into the dragons den willing snorting the good stuff, believing he can handle it. Ty is worried that Bronx will succumb to chasing the dragon as he knows only too well how difficult it is to say no. Can Bronx work his way under Eddie's radar and find the information he needs to dismantle the rivals operation from within? Going solo makes his future hit home and Bronx realises he wants more from life than pain...he wants her.

Ryan is the welcoming face of Eddie's organisation. The trophy girlfriend of the muscle and the brains behind the paperwork she is instrumental to the running of business even if she doesn't realise her own worth. Sacrificing her freedom for the protection of the biggest she knows she lives in a white supremacist household faking her feelings and biding her time. Having lost her parents at a young age she has fought to discover the truth of that night and why her Uncle Harris was responsible. Eddie is the one holding all the cards and having spent do long needing the truth Ryan is willing to go to any lengths. Until him.

Meeting at a party used to trade drugs and meet new buyers Bronx and Ryan risk it all as their heated glances do not go unnoticed. Warring between their mission and their attraction for one another, together are they enough to win the fight? So much is at stake but sometimes the truth is easier to find if you ask for a little help. Who is Ryan and what really happened all those years ago? Has Bronx messed up one last time?

This seriously is one of the best reads of the year for me. The plot and characters are scintillating, totally worthy of their own film or mini series. I cannot express how quickly I was lost in this world of men with big hearts, fierce loyalty and sense of brotherhood. The lines may be blurred but they love hard are not afraid to fight to protect what's theirs. Blown away!

A five star it's more than enough read.

Bronx has a tough job to do, he's a Butchers Boy and he's going undercover to get info. from their rival's. But to do that he has to go beyond the usual requirements asked of him, like using their favourite drug like a pro., and not get hooked. He begins to find it a task he's not sure he's strong enough to deal with and do his job well, but he has to find the network of drug dealers. The boys trust him, he can do it, then he can to walk away. Trouble is the guy's have settled down now and he doesn't want to spend his time alone any more. But after all that he had done, who would want him?

Ryan has been on a mission to find info she needs and to do that she must continue to show affection to that 'Ghastly pig' Gunter. He belongs to a Nazi white supremacy group which turns her stomach - he does keep her safe, if she can keep him happy that is.
When she first see Bronx, Ryan is attracted to the handsome man, the thing is she can't let Gunter notice or be distracted from her main mission. But eventually the more times their paths cross Gunter gets suspicious. Will she trust Bronx to help her! Or will she stick to her guns?

I've loved this series! I love this book! Ryan's life changed drastically at a young age and she spent along time looking for answers, but she still was strong. A great gal. Bronx had loyalty for his comrades, a great fighter and character.

I've enjoyed this series immensely and I'm sorry to see it end. But there is light at the end of the tunnel with the promise of the new series 'Fallen Saints' which I will be eagerly awaiting.

I loved Bronx, “you look fine as hell, darlin’, but”—I hold up a hand and take a step back to strip my T-shirt off, leaving only my tank—“throw that on over yours.” I lean in close as I hand it over and whisper, “Don’t look now, but you’ve got a bit of blood on your shirt.” I loved the banter that would sometimes go on between Bronx and Ryan, “hop out and dry off, woman, otherwise we’ll be here all effin’ night.” She wraps her fingers around my semi-hard length and gives it a gentle tug on her way out the shower door." I enjoyed this book, I'm always eager to get another book in this series.

This sucks!!!!!! The last Butcher Boy book is out and like usual I devoured it in one sitting. Every time I read one of Max's books, I say to myself "Damn this one is better than the last one". However Max pulled out all of the stops when it came to writing Bronx's story.

Bronx is called in to help alleviate the Fallen Saints biggest threat. He now has to go undercover and get up and close with skinheads, addiction and a certain brown head beauty. Just when he thought that fitting in would be hard, Bronx soon discovers that a certain white powder (that the skins provide) can make all his troubles go away. But when his eyes land on a certain girl, everything soon changes. He doesn't care if she is the girlfriend to one of the skins but all he knows is that he will have her. But at what cost? Will he tell her his secret and blow his cover? Or will he get close and try to save her and himself?

Ryan doesn't want to date a skinhead, but with no family and nowhere else to go she doesn't have much choice. She doesn't love Gunther but knowing that his friend may hold the answers to her many questions, Ryan is on a mission. However when her eyes connect with a certain stranger at a party, her whole outlook changes. Can she leave everything behind for this man? How will she ever get the answers to her questions that have plagued her nightmares for years?

Both Ryan and Bronx go through Hell and back to make it out of their horrible circumstances. Each character molded nicely with each other and their back and forth banter was the best. Bronx's attitude is total Alpha and with the mentality of not giving up on what he wants, Ryan was toast. But on another note, we are able to see what Bronx really wants out of life....Someone to come home to. From reading the other stories we as readers may not have picked up on this but I am glad Max gave the Butcher Bad-boy a big heart. Ryan on one hand might come across as a weak character but after learning her predicament and how she is totally stuck in skinhead Hell, one can start to see her in a new light. Throughout the story, Ryan soon starts to gain the backbone we as readers want her to have and by the end of the story she comes out victorious.

Again let me state that I am totally sad that this was the last Butcher Boy story but was totally glad to see a note at the end saying that the author will continue on with some of the supporting characters in her new series. All I can say is "I NEED TO READ ABOUT SAWYER". Hahaha Also please if you are going to read this book, read the 4 previous ones first. It could be read as a stand alone but one will get the full picture if the other books are read.

Was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review... Awesome book! I was new to the series but knew this could be read as a standalone. After this, I'll surely be going back for more! Really loved the characters.. Bronx was a sweetheart and I loved Ryan to death.. tough as nails and determined to find out the truth about her past, she lives numb for years trying to get close enough to the one person who can tell her the truth. What she finds out is nothing like she ever expected. Excellent writing with an interesting storyline that just drags you in from the start!

Devil Smoke is one of my favorite books of the series. This Bronx's story and it's oh so good. There is action, suspense, hot alpha males, sexy time between the sheets and humor. Everything that makes up a good book. So I highly recommend Butcher Boys Series by Max Henry you will not be disappointed but you have to read them in order to get a feel for the characters and storyline. Happy Reading! !

Damn fine ending

I'm a Ryan fan. Even after, she's one strong girl. Glad the boys each got a HEA, it was a tough ride for all of them. These stories are good reads. (Might wanna make sure you are 18+ and aware this book may contain triggers for you.)
Thank you for your time, talent and THE STORIES!

Good and gritty

Good ending to a gritty series. The HEAs were hard won and worth the messes they caused. I'm gonna miss tjem, but I'll definitely check out the spin off series.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I hate to see this series end. I have enjoyed the ride. The Butcher Boys were great and I enjoyed their stories. This is the last book of the series and focuses on Bronx.

The Butcher boys are hired to take down one of the Fallen Saints threats. Bronx is called to go in and get info to help take their threat out. He has to play the part and not become addicted himself. Bronx is a playboy or so he tries to act the part but truly all he wants is to find his other half like TY and Malice had. He wanted to be loved for who he is. HE never thought he would find anyone to fit the bill until he went on this job and meet Ryan.

Ryan was trying to lay low buying her time where she was because she needed information about her past. Problem was in all these years no one was giving her the information she needed and wanted. So she soaked up what she could playing the part in a game she had no idea how to play. Then she meet Bronx. He turned her world on it's axis and she started to feel what belonging and respect really was.

I loved how Bronx and Ryan hit it off from the beginning and their banter back and forth was great. Ryan was no lay down and take it like a woman. She may have played the part but she was a fighter and a survivor after all she went through. She proved she could handle things on her own. The twist was great I didn't see it coming but WOW was it good.

Like I said I hated to see this story end but there is a new one starting and may see a little more of the Butcher boys. I'm excited to see the new series Fallen Saints with the first book being Kings story he seems to be a tortured soul and I cannot wait to hear his story and the others of the Fallen Saints MC.

A few of my favorites:

I’m still the same guy at heart—a guy longing for that companionship that everybody but me has. All I want out of life is to be enough for someone to want to call their own. Yeah, I’m a closet romantic.

I’m surviving the only way I know how with the skill set I was given at birth—the ability to bat my fucking lashes and charm my way out of any sticky situation. I disgust myself. The lack of morals and dignity I show every day repulse me. But I’m also not a quitter; I want what’s mine, and what’s mine is stored away in Eddie’s head, waiting for me to find a way to get it out.

The life of the contract killer is lonely for me, and as much as I play the fool with the women who’ve shared my bed, I wish that wasn’t how I sate my needs. I want somebody who I can talk with at night, somebody who knows when all I need after a shitty day is to be shown affection and appreciation.

“Because family isn’t just blood,” King adds. “It’s the people who are there to help you when there’s nothing in it for them.” “People who forgive you no matter what,” Harris says to King. “The people who know what respect and loyalty really are,” Bronx finishes.

Most people you meet are content to twist a knife in your back in the name of pegging themselves higher and reaping the sole benefits, but these guys know what it is to treat their brothers as family. I guess when death is so much a part of your world it’s only natural that you appreciate the small joys found in life.

When best-laid plans fall apart, and we’re both put to the test, will love or loyalty prevail?. (Amazon Blurb)

It’s not quite the mafia genre, not quite the MC genre or even the dark genre, it simply felt like a mixture of all three with an added touch of the unexpected. A contract killer available for hire who doesn’t think twice about his contract, just as long as the money is in his account before the due date, and a woman who has the ability to see the good in people, even when they believe they have the darkest of souls. Novels of these kinds have always fascinated me, there is always something happening – action, suspense and a romance you’d expect with twists you wouldn’t have seen coming. I wish I would have had the opportunity to read the other 4 novels of the series since I’m convinced the reading pleasure would have been greatly improved, or at the very least, I would have had a chance to meet many of the characters and create a sort of bond with them. That being said, I still enjoyed the novel and the way Max Henry weaves a story is quite entertaining and captivating – I’d recommend it, but to fully enjoy the experience from beginning to end, I would urge readers to read the entire series.

I've been eagerly anticipating this book, but lets be honest here, I didn't want to start reading it.... Why you ask.... Well I knew this was the last book in Max's "Butcher Boys" series & never want it to end. But alas I had to find out how it ends & what happens. What a finish for the series! WOW!! Please if you've not yet picked up ANY of this series, start at book 1, & read the "Butcher Boys" in order, it's important, this series CAN NOT be read any other way.

Everything within this masterpiece gripped me, intrigued me, had me drawn so far into Bronx & Ryan's stories I was lost... no hope of getting out. I didn't want to put it down & couldn't even when I tried. From Prologue to Epilogue Max left me in AWE yet again, the darkness, sadness, courage, loyalty, brotherhood, love... then the twists, all of this wrapped up into something truly wicked to read. After the events that have occured in this entire series, all leading to this final chapter.... I actually have NO words for it!

Again Max gives us some broken characters, not in the same way as before, but they certainly rise to the challenge they find themselves in. Their pasts, choices, everything leading to a certain point in their lives.

I honestly think it wouldn't matter what you write, Max is on my MUST READ/BUY list. Can't wait to see what Max comes up with in her next series.

“F@cking up isn’t so bad when there’s somebody there to hold your hand, when there’s a person who’ll give you a pat on the back and say ‘better luck next time’. But when there’s nothing, no support system there, it’s pretty d@mn terrifying. I’ve got nothing if I fail here - no family to run back to. I’m on my own.”

5 sexy, undercover stars!!! This book was hot and suspenseful from the jump and I love every minute of it!!

Bronx is a diehard member of the Butcher Boys, but he faces a tough job. He’s forced to go undercover and get top secret information from a rival MC gang. While undercover he has to fit in, which means doing their favorite drug of choice. He slowly starts to sink into their darkness and then in walks Ryan. Ryan is also on a mission to take down the Nazi group, she’s also involved with one of the members Gunter, he keeps her safe and that’s what she needs for the moment. She noticed Bronx as well and although she has an attraction to him, she has to keep it in, she can’t get mixed up and let her mission fail. But these two can’t seem to stay away from each other. What happens if Gunter finds out?? Will their missions get exposed??

I loved this series!!! It’s definitely worth the read. Each book gets better and better as you read along!!!

Oh this is by far my favourite book of the Butcher Boys. I really liked this, really liked. It’s weird because I didn’t much care for Devil You Know but as you travel through this series there’s just something that grabs at you and they get better with each set of characters. I think Max Henry saved the best til last for sure.
I think for me it was the theme that ran through this, the white supremacist theme. I’ve not read this kind of theme in anything before and at first I was surprised at the heaviness of the tone but boy was it written well, so well that the author dragged me in straight off the bat.
This book kicked some serious butt, oh my word! I mean Bronx was bad as can be but Ryan simply stole the show, pulled the rug right out from under his feet and made him look like a wet fish. The action was all her, she fought for her life and then she took what she needed. I loved Ryan; she seemed the perfect fit for Bronx once she showed who she really was. The chemistry is off the charts between them and this book will take you on one hell of a ride.
I’m sad to see the end of this series but it’s one I would highly recommend. All good things come to an end unfortunately and I’m now eager to see what else Max Henry brings us.

Saving the best for last!

Bronx is needed to help his crew. He needs to infiltrate the inner circles of the devils den to bring this to an end and keep the people he cares for safe. He is used to using his talents to collect debts owed but not to the circumstances he will have to become accustomed to. Bronx is known as a playboy and he earned that name. But lately he wants more.
Ryan had a tragic part of her life mold her life. She's never had a choice. She's just been surviving. She needs answers and she will do what it takes to get them.
The attraction between Bronx and Ryan is almost instant. It's like they are drawn to each other from a need neither understand. Ryan can't make another mistake, too many lives depend on it. Ryan is too close to her answers and she can't leave her only security.
Max Henry did an amazing job on Devil Smoke. This is the last book in the Butcher Boy series and by means the best to me. The fast paced events kept me entertained from the beginning. A tough, hot, sexy man with a heart and actually wants a relationship. What more can you want from hero? A beautiful, sassy, and vulnerable heroine with a yearning for that one person to make her feel special. Devil Smoke has it all. Good read for me.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review.
I love Max Henry's writing, and the Butcher Boys series. However, after the way Devil In the Detail lead into this story, I was not looking forward to it. I knew it would be tough to read. Max is not easy on any of her characters - she makes them real with harsh realities. I love Bronx's character, and I was afraid to see where this would go. I was right, and I was wrong. I was right in so much as this was a tough read, and that he was as flawed as they come. But I was wrong to fear it. In the end, both Bronx and Ryan (love the name!) were tangible. There was never a point in the book where you were pulled from the story with a "that's ridiculous, no one would ever do that" type of moment. Bronx was still an alpha male, but he was vulnerable, and scared, and I loved that. In the end, I think this was my favourite of the series (and I loved Malice!). I can't wait to read more about the Fallen Saints!
This book took me 5 hours to read.
I recommend it if you enjoy: Jamie McGuire, Cynthia Rayne, Joanna Wylde, Stacy Lynn or Jo Raven.

Oh gosh not sure how I'm feeling right now. This is the third series in a weeks time I've read this past week that is coming to an end.

I loved Bronx. I think he was one of my favorites in this series, along with Malice and as hard as it might be for some to believe, but Sawyer as well. I was glad we got to know him a bit better in this book. Underneath all the layers of him was a sweet, caring, smexy guy.

I really liked Ryan. She was sweet, caring and sassy underneath it all. I really felt for her. She was also tough and a fighter.

Even though it's kind of bittersweet with this series ending. I have to say I think this is, well besides Malice's book, my favorite of the series. I also think that maybe Bronx might be my favorite. I'm also excited because we get to move onto another series and get to know some characters we've gotten to know.

Giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5 and can't wait for King's book!!!!

Bronx

***ARC provided in exchange for hones review***

This is the finale it what was a spectacular series and Max Henry went out with a bang. This is Bronx's tale the only butcher boy left without his HEA. But before he goes searching to find what will make him happy he must infiltrate a rival gang to get info for his friends(The Fallen Saints MC) and himself. What he doesn't anticipate is meeting the woman who is meant for him by the name of Ryan. Ryan is intrigued with the man she first sees a bar but she has her on agenda and it doesn't include falling for Bronx. Unfortunately the heart wants what it wants and with these two, the course has already been set. I'm so sad to see this series end but I'm looking forward to the next chapter which will King's story who's the president of the Fallen Saints MC and best believe if there's trouble the Butcher Boys will be their to help.

Ryan wanted more than anything to know exactly who killed her parents and why. She was living a life that was horrible in order to investigate. Then Bronx comes into her life and she wants him. Bronx has his own reasons for being around the world she lives in and he is blindsided by her. There was so much I liked about their story. That they were able to find each other in the midst of chaos. That they didn't act on their attraction until she was free from the nightmare life she was leading. Well partially free. That Ryan was badass when she needed to be in order to save Bronx. That he totally got everything about her and stood in strength beside her in those moments when she needed him. They are flat out scorching together and I couldn't put their story down.

I give Devil Smoke 4 hearts!

This was a great ending to the series. It was fast paced and full of suspense. This book is a great read about trying to live up to everyone's expectations, including your own which sometimes may be even higher than theirs. Can you let go of your past and your expectations and accept what life throws your way?

Characters:
Bronx. Ah Bronx if a sweetheart even if he is a cocky asshole. I think he sets the bar higher for himself than anyone else. He struggled with what he had to do in this book and in the end did "screw up" but it was the best thing he could have done.

Ryan: Ryan wins the story for me. I love her. She has a twisted past that she finds out half of during the story. She breaks out of the role she was shoved in and surpasses everyone's expectations.

I received an ARC for a honest review:
I am going to start by saying Great series loved every single book and really sorry to see it end!!

Bronx is Awesome!! Bronx is a member of the Butcher Boys, he's going undercover to get information on a rival. He's working undercover as a cocaine user/buyer. He is struggling because he thinks he is not the type of man who is good enough to have a happily ever after whils all his
'brothers" have found theirs.

Ryan was taken in after the death of her parents by neo-Nazi family. She does not agree with their beliefs and is trying to find info on the man she is stuck with, but she must make him happy in order to be safe.

I really love this book absolutely hands down one of my favorites

I recieved an ARC for a honest review. Let me start off by saying I am going to miss the hell out of these boys!! With that being said, this was the perfect "ending" to the boys...and the perfect message. You are enough!! Bronx is my favorite, I love him to pieces. He is hard tough badass with a big heart. He loves with all of him. He has a big soft side, that Ryan brings out of him. Max knows how to write an amazing story that draws you in and keeps you turning the pages. Her characters are real and you can relate to them. This whole series has been fantastic and one that you can read over and over again because you don't want to let the characters go. Even though I am sad about the conclusion of the Butcher Boys, I am happy to know they are doing well and moving on.

Bronx is sexy, built, and has a hell of a past. He knows the type of man he is and doesn't believe he is good enough to have a happily ever after.
Ryan is beautiful, curvy and still trying to learn about her past. She is living in hell hoping someone will tell her what happened 12 years ago that turned her life upside down.

Devil Smoke is Bronx's story. This can be read as a standalone but it is recommended that you read the series in order. The story is fast paced and does have some twists. It is told in multiple POVs.

If you enjoy MC books then this series is right up your alley.

5* read.
Love this author, love her books, love this series. An intense story that grabbed my attention from start to finish. This is a fast paced book loaded with drama.
This is Bronx's story and I fell in love with him just like I did with all the other Butcher boys. He's forced to go undercover to get information from a rival MC gang. Whilst here he meets Ryan and sparks soon fly between them. I loved these two and the intense situation they were in made their chemistry so much stronger.
This is a must read book and a must read series I loved it and can't wait to see what this author writes next.

I loved this series and was sad to see it come to an end, but they will be making an appearance in the Fallen Saints series - yay!! I loved Bronx and Ryan in this book, two people who were lost and looking to be 'enough' for that one special
person to spend their lives with. Bronx has such a soft side to him, and Ryan is one tough woman when it came to trying to protect the ones she cares about. A great ending to the series and can't wait to follow the next lot of down to earth and relatable characters that Max gives us!

Devil Smoke. Another great book in this series. Bronx has a mission, one that could take him in the wrong path. But then he meets Ryan. Never did he think he could be attracted to a women at first sight like he is to her. There is only one problem. She is already taken. With their attraction for each other sizzling will they find a way to be together? What happens when Ryan's man finds out that her true feelings are for another man?
Loved this story. Loved Bronx. A hard exterior but having so much to give. Thank you Max for another great story❤️
