By the time you’re halfway through the book, you’re already immersed in a web of mind games—sometimes exhausting, yet always keeping you on edge. As you navigate the world of the characters, filled with lust, deceit, heartbreak, and integrity, you experience the emotional rollercoaster right alongside them.
The novel delves deep into love, from its initial spark to the devastation of heartbreak. Belagere's writing is raw, lyrical, poignant, capturing the intricacies of love and loss with sensitivity. This love isn’t uplifting; it’s disturbing. Far from being idyllic, the love in this story is toxic and destructive. It forces the reader to confront the darker side of human nature and empathize with characters who make morally questionable decisions. That’s what I appreciated most about Ravi’s writing—it's blunt and unflinching, leaving readers emotionally wrecked.
Along with the physical copy of the book, what made the experience even more engaging for me was the audiobook, available on YouTube, narrated by Preetham Gowda. Even the opening theme sets the tone beautifully. He deserves more views & subscribers for all his hard work.
For me, this was one of the few satisfying reads of the year—definitely worth a spot on my shelf. If I ever want to revisit that bittersweet feeling, flipping through a few pages will surely do the trick.
