I had a lot of fun reading this book and it made me happy to see the end after everything they had to go through. I absolutely loved Halle so much, she had courage and strength but was also sweet and loving. I feel like you don't see both very often where she is both strong and a badass but also sweet and soft. I really loved seeing that. The magic was maybe my favorite part of this book. The way it was explained and just how it revolves around elements, I love that kind of magic so much.
Reading this duology was kind of like watching a movie, I could picture all the magic, the creatures, the setting, everything was great.
The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was because I felt like not much happened for the first half. I wasn't bored or anything but not much was happening.

I really want to thank the author for giving me this arc and the opportunity to read this duology, I enjoyed it so much.
