I love a reborn book. I think I’m really a revenge person and this fits the bill. It has the gut punch, then the revenge.

Possible spoilers ahead

This book starts with the FMC being murdered by her husband (OM)and her slutty sister(stepsister). As she’s dying on the marble floors, they’re both cackling about how they robbed her blind while they were boinking each other during the whole marriage. OM and sis have been fuking each other for a long time.
FMC was married to her hub for 10 years.

Boom! 💥 FMC is reborn to the night she met her husband and also the night the sister was getting engaged to the most powerful man in the world.

FMC decides the powerful man must be her husband instead. Powerful man becomes MMC.

We do find out in the first life the sister was only married to MMC for a business arrangement. The marriage didn’t last long.

MMC also has his own garbage family.

The rest of the book is FMC delivering BLOW after BLOW to her whole family. The MMC starts to really see her and they team up to take down his family. They fall in love.
MMC gets suss of FMC and how she seems to “know” certain stocks and scandals before they happen. Yes, she does eventually tell him she was reborn.

The smex is fade to black. Booooooo

Nobody was ☠️☠️ or 🔪🔪 during this. Ugh. Everybody ended up bankrupt or in jail.
The OM did have a moment at the end where he told the FMC that he was having dreams of their life before. He was a confused mess.

It was okay. I did feel like there were a few plot holes. That’s the bad thing about reborn books; it seems like it’s hard for authors to write them without some plot holes or valid explanation on why characters do what they do.

This book did lead to my husband and I having a funny conversation last night over what we would do if we were reborn to 10 years ago. We were on two totally different paths. But we both agreed that revenge wouldn’t have been the major one. We would’ve just cut those toxic people out and moved on. We would have been more worried about building our empire. 🙃

I liked the start of the story but then it became shallow and empty. She gets vengeance, but I don't care about it because I never got to know the characters. Nothing felt like "yep, they got what they deserved."

The best rebirth story I've read is The What Goes Around duet by Thalia Nova. You experience the events with the FMC - the suffering, the rebirth, the events leading to the suffering, the planning for revenge, its execution. It really makes the story instead of just FMC wants revenge because her husband and sister killed her. Tell me more about their lives and relationships.

second chances

This story is different and that’s what I live about it. Celeste is betrayed and poisoned by her sister and husband in-the first chapter. What happens when after death she gets a second chance. What I love about character is that she’s smart and her second chance allows her to repay everyone who tried to take her down.

This story was surprisingly good. A young woman, Lara was betrayed and killed by her sister Celeste and husband, Julian. For some reason, she was sent back from the dead to an earlier time in her life. Kieran, who was stolen from his mother and raised by his father’s family, created a cold persona to keep everyone out along with the pain. Each protagonist knew what it meant to be betrayed and disdained by the very people who were supposed to love them. They married for purpose, not love.

I was leery when I began reading because both of our protagonists were so consumed with the need for revenge that it overshadowed everything. Revenge that they actually got. But what made the difference is that they received no joy from it. What I saw was a sense of relief. They each saw the pain of the other, and started to be there when each needed the other. It started with small things, then grew.

I still think it was over dramatic at times, but all in all, it was pretty good.

Second Chance

Not what I would call a loving family. This is Lara and Kieran's story. She was murder in her first life. When she wakes up to a second chance life ten years prior to her death, she takes no prisoners. Everyone who hurt her and participated in her destruction she dismantled piece by piece. Kieran is a weapon. He was raised to be a weapon. With Lara, the systematically destroy everyone who tried to destroy them.

the phoenix’

The improbable, fantasy of a story is one of the most interesting stories I’ve read. The heroine is the strongest woman I’ve read. The dark, stone-faced man is the most compelling, lovable character in quite a few books. I loved their combined revenge and their HEA

There was enemies from ,past, present and future that two strong, but lonely people fought with each other as war, that grew into respect and love.

Surprisingly good read

I was surprised by this read, it had good characters and a great storyline. There wasn't a lot of repetition Of phrases, no mix up of the
characters name. Too many AI generated stories out there, if this was then I couldn't tell.

Started strong, lost the momentum. Also, the information she learned was spread over 10 years. In the second life, it all comes down in a matter of months.
