I've picked up several books recently, read 50 pages and totally lost interest. So finally, I went to The Luck of the Draw. Dain is just one of those authors I can really count on for a good read. I just like her characters. They are like friends. Freddie O'Neal, private eye, is hired to find Darla Hayden who skipped out on her therapist's bill. When Hayden turns up dead, the game changes.

Kept reading this series thinking the attitude to Freddie O'Neal would change but everything and everyone continues to annoy her which now annoys me. Too bad as the stories themselves are always interesting.
