I had only just finished the previous book in this series so I was quite fortunate to be able to jump straight into this one and I have to say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I finished it in a single weekend. The author has such a vivid style of writing which really takes you to the depths of what the MC (Dark) is going through (and it is alot!).
There's a great progession of the character's growth and change, as well as the secondary characters who are drawn along without choice and in loyalty to Dark. As with the previous books, the author gives us not one, but several antagonists of such vile desperation you'll love to hate them. The titular antagonist is a cleverly written rug-pull, twice!
And as always, the story climaxes several times into an incredibly spectacular ending too. Just wow!
