The Alphas of Storm Isle series features steaming alpha bear shifters, powerful billionaire businessmen, and steamy menage romance. Be sure to turn the AC up!
Dane MacAlister
He’s demanding.
He’s controlling.
And worst of all, he’s devastatingly handsome.
Working as Dane’s personal assistant is no easy task. The curvy Ginger Graham does her best to fight her attraction for her billionaire boss and remain professional, while Dane struggles with his own secrets.
A bear lurks inside of him, and he has to work extra hard to keep his animals instincts at bay around his attractive assistant.
Ginger hardly knows what she’s in for when she’s invited to his home on Storm Isle...
Alphas of Storm Isle is a scorching five-part serial (like a TV show). It features steaming alpha bear shifters, powerful billionaire businessmen, and steamy menage romance. Be sure to start with Book 1, Courting Rivals!.
This was...different. Nothing really happened here, I am sure the author saved that for the next parts of this serial. I found it just intriguing enough to want to read more :)
If you're looking for quality erotica, look no further! This book stands out from the crowd as not only as great erotic novel, but simply as a great novel, period. The author is clearly incredibly talented and, unlike some romance novels, actually knows how to keep a storyline going. I immediately fell in love with Ginger; she has the kind of sweet and independent personality that I could really connect to. I found myself instantly wanting to protect her when I felt danger on the horizon! And then, of course, there's Dane. He's charming, mysterious, and everything you want out of a billionaire werebear. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Hunter came into the mix. Talk about raw, rugged sexuality.
Sophie Chevalier knows her way around a pen and crafts her descriptions in a way that harks back to old school erotica--somewhere, Anais Nin is applauding her success. The descriptions pull you deep into the novel and make you feel as though Dane's hands are actually brushing over your skin. The experience is completely unlike anything else I've read in an erotic novel. Can't wait to read part two!!!
I was pretty unsure about this book through the first half. Ginger comes across as vapid and materialistic. Example: she majored in journalism, minored in medieval studies, and can't get or hold a job. She's unable to do anything with the degrees she chose, so they seem to be pointless. Ginger laments over all the money and name brands her roommate has, because that's apparently what she really cares about. Oh, and this comment irked me: "It was a sparkling Movado, a graduation present from her parents. Ginger had gotten a Barnes and Noble gift certificate and a charm bracelet." If that's all her parents could afford, why can't she appreciate what she has and what she's given? It was just so rude. Soon enough, Ginger meets her uber rich prince in lawyer Dane. He sets up an account for her to buy nothing but the best of the best in clothing and other things. They're attracted to each other, but the relationship stays professional, until... Aside from the vapidness, the shifter part of the story didn't come until the end, but overall it has me interested to continue into the next book.
I really liked this story! The build up seemed to take a lot of time, I really thought Dane and Ginger would totally hook up, the chemistry is right, they had opportunity, but it just kept stopping and starting. The anticipation kept me riveted. It could have used a little editing, there is a part where Ginger is talking to her roommate, and in the next sentence she is having a conversation with Dane in his home. It threw me for a minute, but by then I was stuck on the story. By the time Dane gets to the island for his weekend getaway and Ginger follows him I really thought they were going to go on to the next level, ....enter the twist and the cliffhanger, just when it getting crazy wild! I am so getting the next part of the book! It is really getting good!
Found in a multi-book, Rescued & Ravished: An Alpha's Conquest Title seems a bit inaccurate since there's only one Male possibly courting the female and not two in this book. However, the ending is one of those drop a bomb and read the next one in the series. Just when you're getting into like a sci- fi channel series get into it and then drop a bomb and tune in next season to find out what happens.
Ginger needs a job, and lands the PA job with her best friend's boss. Dane needs someone to manage his personal life and Ginger is perfect. Unfortunately in this universe he is competing to be head Alpha and Ginger stumbles into the Conclave. The writing is crisp and full of great detail. Looking forward to the rest. Though I am really tired of the human haters.
Got this through Kindle Unlimited and it had been on my KU: TBR stack for a while so I decided to check it out. Story seems ok so far. It is a serial, and while I'm not a fan, they are all available so I don't have to wait to see what happens. Not sure about the title so far, as there just seems to be one H/h in this. We'll see what happens next, but so far I'm on board.
I enjoyed the 1st of the series and so far it's been good between Ginger and Dane. She has no clue he's a shifter and it's obvious that Dane and the bear want her but he holds secrets that will kill her and even him. Off to read part two.
Wish these books were together instead of in part! Now I have to go back to town for internet, so I can download the next one. This sucks. Cuz I really want to finish this one.
Where to start? I didn't hate this story, but I guess I'm just not sold yet either. I liked the premise but I feel like there is just a lot left out background wise. I will read the next book and take it from there.
