I'll admit, this is not the way I saw things going... but this was interesting as well.

There are still a lot of things that I don't quite understand why they happened (mostly the one motivaton for this whole spinoff manga) but I can see the outcome working in context with the original series, even if I'm not entirely happy with the ending it gave some charactes.

Overall, it was a fun ending.

I did really love the parallels between Yuka and Tsurugi and Maru and Cross, and the ways they each complimented the others.

Aparte de que la historia en si es un poco meh y lo de Akutami soltando texto y texto por todas partes (y eso que esta miniserie tiene 3 tomos solo, por lo que peor aún), pues bueno, no esta mal del todo, pero es lo que es, podría haberse llamadado Jujutsu Kaisen o de cualquier otra forma. Es más, tampoco hay un final cerrado per se, aunque no quede abierta, si que deja los suficientes flecos como para, de querer, sigan estirandolo cuanto quieran.

Eso sí, los cameos y el dibujazo que tiene… compensan un poco.

i could so easily read more volumes about the twins and the earthling siblings exchanging more knowledge about their respective cultures - their friendship is so dear to me, definitely my favorite part of the story!
i can't believe it's... over? this was better than i expected; i fell in love with the characters so quickly! in true gege style we got some very cool action scenes, heartwarming and gutwrenching moments, philosophical debates and meaningful discussions. a very solid sequel to jjk!! i hope we get it animated!!!

There was a lot to love about this manga. I loved the way it explored immigration and coexistance. I loved the battle between Tsurugi and Maru and the way that Tsurugi took a different path to Maki and chose not to lose something precious in order to get stronger. I loved Yuji's character arc, from being unmoored and desolate to finding a new reason to fight.

There was also a lot I did not love. I felt like the events near the end were far too rushed and it all happened too quickly. I really wanted Yuka to get more of a focus and delve into her emotional journey. For example, the whole initial conflict with Tsurugi about the ring is never brought up again. I also wanted Yuka and Cross' dynamic to be explored more in depth, like we got to see with Tsurugi and Maru. And I wish we could have gotten more answers about Iori because I am so, so curious to know what exactly happened to him. And of course, it would have been nice to get a proper explanation about Megumi's fate.

But overall, I still greatly enjoyed following this manga every week and I am glad it exists. Yuka, Tsurugi, Maru and Cross are very dear to me and I love them with all my heart.

Im giving this one 5 stars even though there’s lots of plot holes, and the story seems kinda rushed. It holds a special place in my heart because it is the first manga I read and even though it has its flaws, I really love it for what it is.
Also… the ending is quite compelling and hopeful :))))

Rating: 5 stars - I loved it!

This final volume of the series was nonstop action and suspense! We have Yuka/Maharaga vs Dabura and Maru vs Tsurugi but on top of that Yuji Itadori finally steps out of the shadows and starts interfering.

The Maharaga vs Dabura fight was just as action packed and dangerous as I was expecting. We really get to see Dabura struggle to fight for the first time and he quickly learns a lot of new moves using cursed energy. It made for a very interesting battle and I was really enjoying it.

Maru and Tsurugi’s fight was also really cool because we get to see how Maru’s abilities work and how chaotic it can be fighting against them. But the best part of this fight was seeing Tsurugi utilize Rika and use her differently than Yuta did in JJK. It was just a fantastic fight all around, even if it did have a sad ending because two friends are fighting to the death.

I will be honest, I did not expect this ending for the series, but it was actually really cool in my opinion. We see three people team up to utilize their cursed technique to bring harmony to the world and in doing so stop the war between these two races. It was honestly really fascinating and involved the return of another character from the previous series, which was a big surprise. But, I like the way this ended and how we get to see a different kind of future being made for this world.

Overall, this was a fantastic spin-off. I really enjoyed these characters and all the easter eggs about previous characters that popped up as the story progressed. I think my biggest issue was that things did feel a bit rushed but that was mostly because they fit a lot in 25 chapters. I still really enjoyed this though and wonder if we will see more stories set in this universe. I would love to see another time skip spin-off.

While combining intense action-packed scenes and philosophical dialogues, Modulo concludes its short run with its best volume. Each chapter was a joy to read, and I’m in awe with how easy it was to get into this story and fall in love with it.

What shines the most in this finale is the themes of immigration. Gege wrote this with a clear conclusion in his mind, and he delivered his message with just the right amount of fantastical elements surrounding it. It's with a shorter story that it shows just how much Gege actually shines in his storytelling. He doesn't lose himself in it, and it works.

Of course, Yuuji being my favorite manga character of all times, I cannot help but be overjoyed over his return in this sequel. As saddened as I was to see him alone and with so much burden, these last chapters allowed a conclusion to his character that was beyond perfect. It’s bittersweet, but it’s still so full of hope, and it definitely felt like faithful to his JJK characterization.

Even though I went into it kind of nervous, I ended up falling in love with Modulo. Its shorter run allowed an heartfelt story, and its ending was a very good conclusion to it. As painful it is to say goodbye to JJK a second time, I’m glad I was able to experience a bit more of it.

having Megumi Fushiguro as your favorite character is not for the weak😭😭

i have some mixed emotions about this manga, but ultimately i do appreciate it and think that the themes of immigration and coexistence were written well.

Cross and Maru were the standouts to me, but the decision of giving Yuka the ten shadows is something i just can’t get behind and doesn’t make any sense to me other than Gege just wanted to rope Mahoraga back into the story at the expense of the previous series’ deuteragonist.

like logically, i can understand why Megumi had to be dead in order for Yuuji’s part of this story to work. we know Megumi wouldn’t let Yuuji isolate himself and would oppose his idea of turning into a cursed object if he were still around, but damn i’m still upset we don’t even know what adult Megumi looked like😭

and i don’t have to be happy about Yuuji’s fate even if i think it’s pretty cool that he embodies a Bodhisattva😭

Siento que volver a las ideas originales de Jujutsu Kaisen sobre la armonización es una decisión arriesgada, porque se corre el riesgo de sobreexplicar un concepto que ya de por sí era complejo de entender, y más todavía al ponerlo ahora en manos de un extraterrestre. Aun así, debo admitir que, dentro de todo, funciona, especialmente con la aparición de alguien del elenco original como Itadori. Pero eso no quita que terminé con sentimientos encontrados. ¿Realmente era esta la obra que buscábamos? Ya lo mencionaba en el tomo anterior: hay tantos temas que podrían haberse explorado que entiendo lo bonito de cerrar un ciclo dos generaciones después, retomando aquello que sus antepasados intentaron hacer y no pudieron. Sin embargo, me queda la sensación de que habría sido más interesante profundizar en las y los personajes y menos en la trama general. No alcancé a encariñarme tanto con ellxs como me ha pasado en otras obras, y creo que eso se debe en gran parte a la sobreexposición de Gege a los conflictos y conceptos internos del relato. Al final, termino valorando la intención, pero no conectando del todo con el resultado.

what the hell? as relevant as i feel the story is to juxtapose with real world happenings, and how interesting it was at the start, the narrative itself felt rushed towards the climaxes of the story, which felt so unnecessary. it doesn't help that gege's artstyle is so addicting and quite stunning to look at, and his writing CAN be so thoughtful at times, but with his endings... just outsource it at this point please...

regardless of its incredibly lacklustre ending and story without any seemingly real consequences, the characters introduced here were pretty great and easy to understand. the reappearances of a few jjk characters were awesome to see once more, yuji is cracked af, and dabura is too in the final panel 👀

it felt pretty fanservicey just seeing them though, especially the dabura v mahoraga battle. we get to see the heights of it, but it also cut out so much of it by simply happening 'off screen,' which is stupid. its a recurring thing with gege i feel, where things just happen, simply because it did... to avoid death.. sukuna ignored it and moved on type shi..

It makes me sad to see the amount of people claiming that Modulo fell flat in its ending because I think it achieved exactly what it set out to do. At their core, Jujutsu Kaisen and Modulo are stories about how each generation leaves things worse for the next, whether it be in terms of war or environmental destruction. Our leaders, the people who are supposed to keep us safe, ignore our suffering either for their own benefit or because they don’t want to get involved for fear of causing greater conflict. They keep their distance for the “greater good,” but forget that their people are the greater good. That scene of the humans and Rumelians playing baseball will stick in my mind for a very long time. “People don’t exist for the sake of a country. Countries exist for the sake of their people.”

4.5 to be honest

Loved the new characters and I as falling in love with this new era. A shame it ended so soon but it had some great moments. It’s funny that Gege has a gold mine in his head and feels like he doesn’t wanna do anything with it anymore. The original ending and Modulo ending makes me feel that he’s trying to cut every loose ends possible so the story can be over and if that’s what he wants to do it’s a shame but I respect it

I’m gonna miss this characters and I’m gonna miss this universe, but it was fun to come back for one final glimpse

gege i KNEEL. everything that he did with yuji is amazing. it breaks my heart to see how he is acting in this, but it makes sense. seeing the aliens and the humans fight for reasons they both believe in. these ideas of coexistence and acceptance is so wonderful and i think gege did a great job. this is a story about hope and coming together and moving foward and the ending i think is beaitful. i love these characters - both old and new - and i think it was a great conclusion to them. ANYWAYS JJK 3???? (also deadass RIP MEGUMI LMFAO)

After finishing the final chapter, this whole story felt unnecessary.

This felt like a "what if" fan-service who's sole purpose was to try and justify some throwbacks from mainline JJK, for the sake of giving the fanbase a little extra.

The Art for some of the main fights were very well done, but the premise was loose and didn't need to happen. Wouldn't recommend and glad I didn't read this weekly for half a year

My main complaint about this manga was that it ended too quickly! I had no clue that it was wrapping up until the storytelling veered into an epilogue. There was so much incredible lore and world building, I would have eagerly read volumes and volumes about it. The fighting styles and jujustu techniques were fascinating. Add that to the ensemble of both new and old characters, it felt every bit like a descendant of JJK.
