Megan Von Allmen’s debut novel, Grantor of Beginnings, is the first in a six-novel series and I’m so IN for this journey.
Vilas, the spare to the heir of the fae kingdom, feels like he really isn’t worth much in comparison to his father and his twin sister, the heir. His power is uncontrolled and scary. He’s capable of great violence so no wonder his father has him commanding the armies. A returning evil is infiltrating the land. The Nydrovians, who once started a devastating war, have found a way through an unbreakable wall separating them from the rest of the continent. While dealing with the spreading violence, Vilas meets the enigmatic and mesmerizing thief responsible for handing out vengeance to evil doers and stealing something very important from the king of the Nydrovians. Vilas is drawn to her and caught up in a plan to save the continent from one of the worst evils any of them has ever faced before. Has there ever been a worse time to fall in love?
Grantor of Beginnings is working hard to set the stage for so much in this series. Von Allmen focuses her time on balancing world building, developing character relationships and histories, creating mysteries to reveal, and painting a romance within all of it. Character banter between multiple characters is great. It doesn’t matter if it’s between siblings, best friends or love interests, the teasing and give and take/push and pull really works. The variety of fantasy races was intense. I did not expect to see so many all in one story but I’m kinda digging it. Fae, vampires, shifters, pirates and so much more. The lore is definitely being created here and I’m interested to see where it goes in the future novels.
Vilas’s first scene is stellar! He is a badass. Unfortunately, he starts to weaken after a certain point. I kept waiting for him to kick ass but he softened. Not necessarily a bad thing but unexpected. He almost needed to soften so his love could grow. What I really loved is that a majority of the novel is from his POV. So refreshing!!
Von, our warrior thief, is one heck of a woman. Almost too good to be true and I was afraid she was becoming too perfect. I shouldn’t have worried. There are flaws and a lot of reasons for her “perfection.” She’s tough and iron-willed, but she also has a softer side and I loved seeing that come out.
The rest of the cast of characters is great and each stand out in their own ways. I am intrigued to hear more about their backstories and I know there are characters we still have yet to meet. Oh! And if I get some flashbacks in the future, I’ll be very invested. AND the title reveal was so perfect!
There are so many things to love about this book: the lore, the vulnerability of the main characters, the different types of love, a horse with a sense of humor, the ending and so much more. I can forgive the modern elements and pacing fluctuations. Most of the time, those are major deal breakers for me but not with this one. I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and can’t wait to return to Vilas and Von!

This book showed us just a glimpse into what our FMC is capable of. She does not hold back and she sure AF does not need a man to hold her hand. The world building and magic system is unique, and the whole story moved along at a nice pace.
🌶️🌶️ The slowest of slow burn. I almost threw my iPad, iykyk. Some of the best banter from multiple MCs.

I can say this book was incredible. I couldnt put it down.
From the first page where you meet the MMC i was hooked. So bad ass and impressive but then to meet the FMC. Hell yes.... she is without doubt my favourite female character I have ever read. She keeps getting better and better throughout the book.
The slow burn has you screaming for release in such a good way. Their banter with eachother had me laughing. And what sets this book apart is the rest of the characters are stand out. Each of them play a massive part and they all work so well together.
This book will have you gripped from the first page with revelations that helps you build a bond with these characters.
Can't wait for the next book.... need it like now @author_vonallmen 😊😊😊

I was given an opportunity to be an ARC reader for my honest opinion…
This book was a great read in general! The fight scenes were epic, the banter was fun, I would say this was a light fantasy as the world building wasn’t that complex. The first chapter was so amazing that I was hooked. We are introduced to the MMC, Vilas, who I thought was going to be this badass character. He is known as the spare, a disappointment to his father, siphon powers too strong for him to control, but so powerful he could end armies in a flash. However, he ended up being this weak timid character it was so infuriating. However, Von, the FMC, now she was a badass from beginning to end! There were some moments where I found her annoying, but after learning more about her story she ended up growing on me. I would recommend this book to anyone who is starting off with reading fantasy. I wish there was more world building, and maybe more struggles Vilas had to endure as an outcast in the royal family, but I will definitely be reading the second book to see what happens next! Thank you Megan Von Allmen for the advanced read, I can’t wait to see where the series takes us!

This debut was everything I love in a romantasy. There was epic world building with high stakes adventure, a cast of characters to follow who feel like found family, secrets to unravel, and a story that will continue to unfold in future books.
The story follows Vilas, a morally gray MMC with shadows that kill, and clean!
Our FMC is a funny, strong and mysterious one who had me grinning at her sass. The banter between these two had me swooning so much it made my heart flutter.
I laughed, cried and felt everything in between. The way the author describes the smallest thing like rain was simply stunning.
One quote from a fave side character to the MMC which made me laugh was “Looks like immense power wasn’t the only gift the gods bestowed upon you”
I absolutely can’t wait for this series to continue.

This is a true slow burn with intense chemistry and yearning that has a payoff that is out of this world!
The found family is a melting pot of misfits, warriors, and supernatural beings. Their storylines are diverse and play a big role in Von’s character development and growth. They become people you know and love while keeping you entertained with the elite banter amongst the group. They will have you laughing out loud with their witty comebacks and sarcastic responses.
The world building is magical and vast but not so much that it’s shoved down your throat. The world is built brick by brick, with every piece completing a puzzle that opens your eyes to a new part of the story. It all comes together beautifully to create a stunning complete picture.
The adventure is high stakes with absolute consequences. The journey has twists and turns that will keep you guessing about what’s around the next corner. The plots twits are top tier and will have you picking your jaw up off the floor!

This book was such a capturing start to the series !
It follows Von, the leader of the Rangers, and Vilas, the fae prince, as they travel to repair a magical barrier that’s failing and allowing dangerous people and creatures into their world. Along the way they uncover secrets, face several hard challenges and fights in their journey all while having this adventure with their group of friends ( i fell in love with them all ) . I really loved the mix of fantasy and romance, as well as the beautiful story that unfolds between the main characters . The author did an amazing job at describing these characters and their past stories which in a way I could see part of myself in them . What a truly amazing read ! ☀️💕

Okay… this was such a solid start to the series! 👏
Grantor Beginnings had me hooked with its intriguing world, growing mysteries, and the promise of something much bigger on the horizon. I love when a first book takes the time to build the world without making it feel overwhelming, and this one did a great job of making me want more.
The beginning was a little slower but once everything started clicking into place, I was fully invested. I found myself wanting answers, rooting for the characters and the banter made keep saying, “Just one more chapter.”

Megan completely knocked it out of the park for her debut novel. Grantor of Beginnings. It is the first in a 6 part series and I can honestly say I’m looking forward to reading these books before rest.
We have a badass FMC, an annoying but very handsome MMC. Great side characters that I hope we will see more of in subsequent books. Epic world building, were dipped into the FMCs backstory which I also hope is explored more thoroughly in future. Mythical creatures inhabit the world, some of which are truly scary eg, a giant spider. I was honoured to be part of the arc team.

I got to read this book as an ARC reader, and I genuinely had such a great time with it. It has magic, vampires, werewolves, elves, plenty of action, and a slow-burn romance that I really enjoyed. If fantasy with supernatural creatures is your thing, you’ll probably love this one. It gave me the kind of vibes I get from The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Game of Thrones all mixed together. I’m already looking forward to the next book!

First, a huge thank you to Megan Von Allmen for trusting me with an ARC of Grantor of Beginnings. It was such a privilege to read this before release. That said, I never let receiving an ARC influence my opinion, and I always strive to give honest reviews. Thankfully, this one made that incredibly easy.
Grantor of Beginnings completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first chapter, I was hooked and honestly didn’t want to put it down. Now I completely understand what the author meant when describing this as having “the adventure of Lord of the Rings and the character depth of Throne of Glass.” It truly delivers on both.
The adventure is absolutely incredible. Every journey, battle, and action sequence is so vividly written that it felt like I was watching a movie unfold in my head. The pacing kept me engaged from beginning to end, and there was never a moment where I found myself losing interest.
One thing I know might be a little more divisive is the amount of focus placed on the romance. Personally, I loved it. The relationship between the MMC and FMC is given the time it needs to grow naturally, and I don’t think their connection would have felt nearly as meaningful if it had been rushed. Because their story takes up such a significant portion of the book, I can see why some readers might consider this more romantasy than traditional fantasy. That’s ultimately why I knocked off 0.1 stars. Normally, when romance becomes such a large focus, I tend to skim ahead—but that never happened here. I was completely invested in every conversation, every interaction, and every moment between them.
The slow burn is absolutely worth it, and the chemistry is phenomenal. The banter between the MMC and FMC is some of my favorite I’ve read, but it doesn’t stop there—the dialogue between the entire cast is witty, natural, and genuinely entertaining. Even though I’ve only recently gotten back into reading and haven’t read nearly as many books as some, this is easily my favorite fictional couple so far.
Beyond the romance, the characters are what truly make this story shine. Every character feels important and memorable, and I found myself emotionally invested in each of their journeys. The diversity of fantasy races and creatures was another standout. Their histories and cultures are rich and fascinating, yet the world-building never felt overwhelming. There are a lot of moving pieces, but everything is explained in a way that’s easy to follow without sacrificing depth. That said, I never let receiving an ARC influence my opinion, and I always strive to give honest reviews. Thankfully, this one made that incredibly easy.
Grantor of Beginnings completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first chapter, I was hooked and honestly didn’t want to put it down. Now I completely understand what the author meant when describing this as having “the adventure of Lord of the Rings and the character depth of Throne of Glass.” It truly delivers on both.
The adventure is absolutely incredible. Every journey, battle, and action sequence is so vividly written that it felt like I was watching a movie unfold in my head. The pacing kept me engaged from beginning to end, and there was never a moment where I found myself losing interest.
One thing I know might be a little more divisive is the amount of focus placed on the romance. Personally, I loved it. The relationship between the MMC and FMC is given the time it needs to grow naturally, and I don’t think their connection would have felt nearly as meaningful if it had been rushed. Because their story takes up such a significant portion of the book, I can see why some readers might consider this more romantasy than traditional fantasy. That’s ultimately why I knocked off 0.1 stars. Normally, when romance becomes such a large focus, I tend to skim ahead—but that never happened here. I was completely invested in every conversation, every interaction, and every moment between them.

Dual POVs with the MMC as main POV. He falls first/slow-burn/high stakes/touch her and die (touch him and die)/elves, fae, vampires, werewolves, angels, humans,shifters/fated mates/found family…It’s loaded with adventure!
The FMC is a total bad-a** with a troubled past. She is, by no means, a damsel in distress. The MMC is a deadly shadow-daddy with commitment issues. Fantastic character development and world building. The side characters…Miles…he has the worst timing! A few trigger warnings - but the author navigates through those beautifully.
Megan did not hold her punches! I think the only reason I rated around 4 is because there was almost too much happening at times, especially in some of the final revelations. 🤯

First of all I would like to send a huge thank you to the author for letting me be an ARC reader, I truly enjoyed this experience.
Since I gave it five stars I will start with the one issue that I had so that I can spend all of my time listing why I loved this book. In this book they didn’t really have female warriors. At all. So of course, the MMC was thrown when this woman showed up and could fight. That’s fine, I get it, a lot of fantasy novels do that. What bothered me about this was that they were referred to as “his males”. The soldiers were “his males” which threw me so badly that it was actually a struggle to get through the beginning.
Now, speaking of the beginning, when the FMC was introduced? I was immediately in love with the two of them. She stole from him, got his horse to like her more than him and absolutely called him out on his shit. Just slaughtered him and it was fabulous. He needed to be taken down a notch and she continues to do it, putting him in his place and reminding him he isn’t perfect.
However they also build each other up. All of the characters in this book go through some sort of development and watching their relationships grow and change was amazing. There were so many good characters, even if they were only there briefly, they were stunning.
The plot is just amazing, I can’t talk about it enough! There are vampires, werewolves and fae, all without a cliche. Their existences are explained, there aren’t really any prejudices against any race and it’s great. The humans are looked at as the same level as all of these immortal creatures and the journey they’re all going on is amazing. Riveting.
Look out for this book, it is so good!!

Grantor of Beginnings opens with action and mystery and just keeps going! The main characters aren’t perfect, and they know it. As they navigate through troubled times, we get to share a complex world and learn that there is more to our cast than meets the eye.
Despite my preference for no spice books, the story and heart of this novel makes it well worth overlooking that aspect (this book has spice!).
Megan Von Allmen has outdone herself with this first installment!

ARC REVIEW
Grantor of Beginnings completely swept me away. From the opening chapter, the story wastes no time pulling you into its world, and I was hooked almost immediately.
One of my favorite choices was starting in Vilas’s POV. He’s exactly the kind of fantasy MMC I gravitate toward—powerful, haunted, fiercely protective, and wielding shadow magic that somehow manages to be both intimidating and incredibly endearing. Watching him slowly peel back the layers of who he is made him such an easy character to root for.
The worldbuilding is immersive without ever feeling overwhelming. Between the fae, fangs, rangers, ancient magic, political history, and the mystery surrounding the Incubus, every chapter answered one question while giving me three more. I loved slowly piecing everything together, and the reveals felt earned rather than rushed.
The standout for me, though, was the dialogue. The banter is phenomenal. I found myself laughing out loud more times than I expected because the characters play off each other so naturally. Every member of the supporting cast brings something memorable to the story, and the found family dynamic only gets stronger as the book progresses. I became attached to this entire group.
The romance is exactly how I like it: a true slow burn built on trust, vulnerability, and genuine friendship before anything else. Some of my favorite moments weren’t the grand romantic scenes but the quiet ones—comfort after difficult moments, conversations that slowly chipped away at emotional walls, and the little gestures that carried so much meaning. Their relationship feels earned because they choose each other long before anything else enters the picture.
I also loved how creative the magic system is. The different abilities, creatures, and lore constantly kept me intrigued, and every new piece of information made the world feel even bigger. There were several moments where I genuinely stopped to theorize about what was happening because the mysteries were so engaging.
While there are certainly high-stakes battles and plenty of action, this book balances them beautifully with humor, heartfelt character moments, and emotional depth. There were scenes that had me grinning, scenes that had my heart racing, and a few that absolutely broke it.
By the time I reached the final pages, I wasn’t ready to leave these characters. The ending opens the door to so many exciting possibilities, and I already can’t wait to see where the series goes next.

My first six-star read!
“You are no Master of Ends, you are their Grantor of Beginnings.” - FMC (this line gave me chills)
If I could give Megan Von Allmen’s Grantor of Beginnings a six-star rating, I would.
Megan, your storytelling, world-building, and character development are a chef’s kiss! I still can’t believe this is your debut novel!
I was hooked from the beginning of the first chapter. The action-packed plot kept me engaged, and I was eager to keep reading. As someone who plays and loves TTRPGs like D&D and dungeon crawler games like Gloomhaven, this book was right up my alley. I loved the brutal battles and clever banter between Vilas and the Mystery Woman (I won’t spoil the FMC’s name since it’s a key element of the story).
I also loved the dynamic between Vilas and his older sister Fiona, as well as his best friend Miles. His relationship with his sister reminded me of how protective I am as an older sister.
The relationship that develops between the FMC and Vilas is beautiful. Their mutual attraction, balanced with respect, kept me wanting more. His longing for her and his protectiveness as well. However, the FMC was doing a lot of the saving.
I also appreciated that Vilas was not just a strong MMC but also had his struggles. These struggles made him guarded around those he loved, which made his resolve even more compelling.
The pacing was perfect for me; the characters are complex with many layers, and the story’s blend of action, mystery, and adventure kept me hooked. To all our spice lovers, you will not be disappointed. (I will leave it at that without spoiling)
By the end, I was left wanting more and can’t wait to see how the series unfolds. Will we get the FMC’s backstory? I can’t wait to find out.
I genuinely believe this book could be adapted into a TV series or a movie, which would be very exciting!

4.25 RECEIVED AS AN ARC FOR HONEST FEEDBACK
I feel as though I need to preface this by saying I haven’t had the best reading year. Honestly more things have fallen into the 2-3 star rating for me. This was a solid 4.25. I loved the characters and their interactions and while the town names definitely had me pausing to sound them out that was really the only thing that made it so I wasn’t in a constant flow state of reading. The slow burn was absolutely exquisite (slow burn is 100% my favorite.) I can’t wait to hopefully see that you’re going to be doing a second book. Also I really want Miles and Sunny together. It was worth every second of reading and I found myself thinking about it throughout the day when I wasn’t able to read it lol. The author should be very proud of herself with this debut. I would go out of my way to buy this as a gift for my friends

I knew I would love this book when “one more chapter” became my whole evening. This is Megan’s debut and the first book of the Everlasting series. The banter, yearning and chemistry are exactly what I want in a romantasy! I was squeeling!
We follow the story through our MMC’s POV, and our FMC is anything but a helpless maiden. It was nice to read a romantasy where the FMC didn’t need saving or coddling. The slow-burn was just perfect.
I adored every character but let’s be real, we all have our favourites. If yours isn’t Miles, you are simply wrong. I wonder how my other book boyfriends will cope with 2 more being added to the list…

I felt giddy and happy when I first started the book. Between the banter and the flirting happening in the beginning of the book I was hooked. I had a smile on my face and I wanted to see what other mischief Von and Vilas would get themselves into. It was only fitting that the playboy spare heir would fall hard and fast for the beautiful and witty ranger. Or is she something else? As they fall for each other they also navigate how to protect each other. They learn to trust each other and the ugly truths of their past.
Both Von and Vilas have found a family amongst their friends (+ Vilas sister). They must uncover secrets and open the horrors of their past to go on a quest to find the one person that is hunting her. If there is one thing Vilas will not tolerate is someone touching (heck not even looking) at what belongs to him.
The world building was well written that with the descriptions of the creatures in the book I could vividly picture them in my head. This book had a little bit of everything: vampires, werewolves, fae, elves, witches, hybrids, and other mystical creatures. Megan did such an amazing job with her writing that even her side characters shone when they were on the spotlight.
Let me not forget about the spice… the scenes were HOT! Megan did such a phenomenal job with these scenes in that they blended in really good with the story and they didn’t take away from the plot.
I cannot wait for book 2.

Vilas, is the Prince of Devlorian, second in line to the throne, serving as General to his country, and the “prince of the sheets” to the ladies he meets along the way. Summoned to an emergency meeting, Vilas makes his way staying at a few local taverns. Nothing new for him, he’s irresistible, he’s broody, he’s far, he can have any lady of his choice…except for this one stranger. She finds him absolutely obnoxious, full of himself, she’s sassy, and worst of all she robs him! Vilas is intrigued, who would dare rob the General of Devlorian? I guess you’ll just have to read to find out! 🤭
This was a fantastic read! This story contains themes of family, political intrigue, bonds, unique magic system, lore, tattoos, betrayal, sacrifice, forgiveness, self-discovery, and personal growth. If you love intricately woven magic with magical beings with original world building I would recommend this for you. If you enjoyed Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, or Metal Slinger this would be a book for you. The FMC is witty and self-sufficient. She is not a damsel in distress. (She is easily one of my top FMC’s of all time)! The MMC is blindsided and not used to having his attitude checked (the best). The banter and slow-burn is excellent and had me laughing out loud!

I was completely engaged from the very beginning.
The pace of this book flowed so well. It was filled with action, secrets, banter, laughter, love, slow burn, touch her and die and so much more. The character development was beautiful and the description of the scenes were perfect. My favorite scene was the “rain” scene. Just to picture it all was mesmerizing.
The world building was carefully crafted beautifully in a magical world filled with a diversity of fantasy characters. There were Faes, Vamps, werewolves, shifters and more who are all equals as the humans. I loved how Von Allmen showed how she took the time to develop the characters to make each one of them special and created a found family between friends.
Now the FMC, has got to be one of my favorite FMCs by far! She’s independent, fearless, strong, smart and a leader but also caring & selfless. I also loved watching the development of the FMC, a Fae Prince. He was known as someone to be feared but as the story went on, we got to see the tender side that even shocked him.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series. This is one of my favorite fantasy reads for sure!

This is such a beautifully written story. This book grabbed me from the very page and kept me hooked. I did not want to put it down. I absolutely loved Megan’s writing style.
This book felt completely unique from the characters and creatures we met to the world we were in.
In this story you are getting mythical creatures, touch her and ☠️, hidden identities and a high stakes fantasy.
The banter between our MMC Vilas and FMC was the absolute best, they had me laughing out loud at points in this book. I would say this book is definitely plot driven but you are still getting the relationships and character developments that you want.

This book is definitely going to bring out all your emotions in the best ways from laughter to love to absolute heartbreak. I will say this last probably 10% of this book was so heartbreaking and had me in tears. I absolutely need book two in the very near future after that ending.
This is such a beautifully written story. This book grabbed me from the very page and kept me hooked. I did not want to put it down. I absolutely loved Megan’s writing style.
This book felt completely unique from the characters and creatures we met to the world we were in.
In this story you are getting mythical creatures, touch her and ☠️, hidden identities and a high stakes fantasy.
The banter between our MMC Vilas and FMC was the absolute best, they had me laughing out loud at points in this book. I would say this book is definitely plot driven but you are still getting the relationships and character developments that you want.

I saw a booktoker describe another book today as "brain candy" and boy oh boy did this book match that vibe. Except Im Australian, so this book was brain lollies.
Plot: Vilas is a prince (but not heir) and a general in his father's army, and possesses strong magic and fighting skills. The enemy have somehow breeched the ancient barrier between the kingdoms, so Vilas (& Gang ™️) go to see how they're getting through. He also meets the Thief, an elusive ranger with secrets.
I enjoyed this book so so much. I devoured this 500ish page book in 2.5 days. And I cant believe its the author's debut book. It honestly felt like she'd made a list of all the things I liked in a fantasy book and put them all in there just for me 😂
This is a slow burn in the meaning that the relationship and feelings developed slowly, and it was pretty delicious. Especially as most of it was from the mmc's POV that made it feel more unique and that boy did some serious yearning that had me kicking my feet (Miles really needs to get his timing sorted better, damnit). And Vilas was actually an mmc who had feelings (and we know this because his POV), learned and listened.
And the FMC kicked some serious butt. She was sassy, clever and absolutely flogged the fight scenes. Yet she was never a grating sassy fmc, because she still had so much softness in her.
The little drips of back story that were fed ever so slowly to us just kept me fed in terms of plot.
This book was such a vibe read and so damned enjoyable and I'm not sure I'll be able to wait for the next book in the series.
Book comes out November so I definitely recommend getting onto it.

I had a lot of fun with this one. It was my very first ARC and really enjoyed the story.
One of my favorite things about Grantor of Beginnings was the FMC. She’s stubborn, strong-willed, and absolutely does not take crap from anyone. I also loved the banter throughout the book. Even in some of the most intense moments, the characters still managed to make me laugh.
The found family dynamic and the relationships between the characters were probably my favorite part of the story. Watching those connections grow and develop kept me invested from beginning to end.
And when the action hits… OOOF. Get ready. There were several moments that completely caught me off guard and had me immediately needing to know what happened next.
I also enjoyed the magic system, the different magical creatures, and slowly uncovering the mysteries surrounding the world and diving into the character back stories. The ending answered some questions while leaving me with plenty more, and I’m definitely curious to see where book two goes from here.
For me personally, there were times when the descriptions felt a little heavier than what I typically gravitate toward, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the story overall.

The Grantor of Beginnings is the debut novel from Megan von Allmen.
From the first chapter, I was hooked. The banter between the MMC and FMC had me literally laughing out loud. The interactions and the chemistry made me fall in love with them faster than they could fall in love with each other. The slow burn. The found family. The surprises. The badassery of the MFC. The absolute devotion (in a not-creepy way!) of the MMC for her. The supporting characters are just as amazing as the main characters. I’m devistated that I have to wait extra long for the next book to come out. I want it now!
The last 15% of this book had me in a chokehold. So many things happened and I couldn’t stop reading. Then the ending happened and I couldn’t stop staring at the wall. I loved this so much. You absolutely need to read this!

ARC Review.
Omg okay. This is by far one of the best books I have ever read and I have read a lot.
The banter between the two leads is so good. There’s this pull and attraction between them, there but not there yet, like an undercurrent of yearning and desire that you can literally feel coming off the page. Slow burn done right.
I again have to say the FMC is by far one of my favorite FMC’s I’ve ever “met”. Feisty, protective, loyal, badass, all of it. And the male lead, once he’s in your head he does not leave. Territorial, growly, “she’s mine” energy the whole way through and I am obsessed.
I love how Megan even explains smells in her scenes, completely immersing you in the book and what’s happening. You honestly feel like you’re there the whole time.
There were moments that made me cry like a baby. Moments that made me clutch my chest. And a whole lot of wondering, as if you think you know what’s going on but you’re not quite sure if you’re right. Keeps you on your toes the entire way through.
It is almost impossible to believe this is her debut novel. I recommend this book a million times over. I will need some time to recover. The book ended so perfectly, so beautifully, so painfully and heartbreakingly. I will be counting the days until we get book two.
I am absolutely shaken and shattered by everything I’ve read and will be thinking about their story for a very long time to come.

Where to even begin. This book had everything every fantasy Reader longs for; the slow burn, the adventure, the high stakes. But it also had the most immaculate banter between all characters, NOT JUST THE MAINS. The side characters quickly become a part of your heart and the main characters will have you swooning and kicking your feet. Seeing this from both their povs was so heart wrenching and this book quickly became higher ranked than my top two god tiers…and that's saying something. It has everything you'd ever want but the most important thing is the absolute investment in these characters, you want to know what happens to all of them next, you want their stories, their trauma, their love. You can absolutely imagine yourself right there beside them in the story, that's how good it was. I cannot wait for the world to experience this the way I did. Needless to say im obsessed and cannot wait to see where this world goes.
